Headcanons!

Ooooh I got a Lotta these, which is a side effect of having him in your brain nonstop for years. I'm getting outta my comfort zone to actually Talk about this guy for once /lh

Also, I don't really have "top" headcanons (presuming this means fave hcs and not top in the bedroom sense?!?!1? ANYWAY WJGKEKGK) (my mind is in the gutter) SOOO here's a bunch of everything

- Main hc: he is pan! He doesn't identify as that (he probably doesn't even realise) but I just think he is :3 I can't take credit for that one bc someone else said it to me and my eyes OPENED. Yk who you are if you're reading this ;]

- Now more general stuff: Okabe is SO goddamn messy. I mean this is obviously canon (have you seen the lab and his bedroom). BUT in the same vein I think he is messy because he collects everything. Yes Okabe, surely this screw you found on the floor 3 years ago will have a use any day now. As will the other entire rest of your drawer of random things too /s

- Despite being so messy he does know exactly where everything is, and always completes tasks by deadlines. Baffling

- He is a good cook! He learned through his parents, and is especially good with preparing veggies. But he never cooks unless his parents ask him (future gadgets are more important, probably), hence why he lives on instant noodles and such

- He is very punctual somehow?? Like if you're going somewhere, he'll always appear fifteen minutes before everyone else will. Even though you didn't even get a text back from him saying he was coming at all. Truly a mystery

- He loves his labcoat waaaaay more than he lets on. He is a very ordinary and awkward guy usually, so secretly he does like his Kyouma personality as an excuse to be sociable and make friends. He does cringe if he thinks about it too hard though /lh

- Also, he befriended Daru in class because nobody really gave Daru much attention, girls picked on him a bit, and Okabe was just amazed at his skill on the computer. He always sat down and watched/chatted to Daru when he worked on them. He found Okabe way too talkative and annoying, but was secretly grateful for the company

They're just a few things! I guess they are the main hcs I have for him that are kinda integral to his character lmao. I have a bunch of more random ones but I shall spare you this time fuahaha

EDIT: there's one more I like so much and I FORGOT. Not important to his character but... He has long pretty eyelashes... So stupid but I love it... 😔

Ships!

Omg.

I've said before that I ship Okabe with everyone, but I don't exactly, since I don't actively do anything to ship them (does that make any sense?). It's more just that there's no ships I really dislike and there's no way any ships are portrayed that I dislike either?? Ik some people are super strict about how they like their ships but I am Not. If Okabe is there then so am I!!! I do prefer m/m stuff with him, but again, I'm not really fussed :3

My biggest ship is Okabe x myself, because I will SMOOCH HIM /JJJ

Ok, jokes aside, Okabe x Daru is probably my fave! I thought I was the only person who shipped them until I joined Tumblr!! I just think their chemistry is so great, and I def see Daru having a real soft-spot for Okabe underneath all his annoyance over his chunibyo acts... And I can see Okabe getting flustered over him, too, if he helps him with something or they play-fight. And I bet Okabe didn't even realise what he was feeling meant!!! He likes girls only, obviously, right!!? (I hit him with the "w-what is this feeling" beam /j)

There are other things that I ship with him, but they are self-indulgent crackships and I don't post about them much, if at all (⁠⸝⁠⸝⁠⸝⁠´⁠꒳⁠`⁠⸝⁠⸝⁠⸝⁠) it's a secret...

Other than that, the ships I like most -> least just kinda scale on how much I like the other character(s) involved ig?? For that reason, there are def some ships that I'm less fond of, but I don't straight up dislike any of them, as I said :3

And while it's not Okabe-related, on the subject of ships: my fave s;g ship excluding him is easily Kurisu x Mayuri. They would have been so cute together, ugh!!!! It should have happened...
