It will attain world dominion by the dissolution of other races, by the abolition of frontiers, the annihilation of monarchy, and by the establishment of a world republic in which the Jews will everywhere exercise the privilege of citizenship. In this new world order the Children of Israel will furnish all the leaders without encountering opposition. The Governments of the different peoples forming the world republic will fall without difficulty into the hands of the Jews. It will then be possible for the Jewish rulers to abolish private property, and everywhere to make use of the resources of the state. This is what is happening in Syria today. Assad did not want a private Central Bank in his country, but relented to try to keep the peace. Didn't work out for Assad because the Jew Banksters were not happy - now they want two very profitable pipelines run through Syria. Also, North Korea doesn't want a Rothschild Central Bank and neither does Iran. The Jew Bankers are chomping at the bit to start a war with these two countries in the near future. SaaS vs. On-Premise: Which CRM Solution is Better For You?
Tumblr media
SaaS CRM, CRM free, CRM software...?
While several new business software technologies are catching the media buzz – including social CRM, Hosted CRM, open source CRM, customer experience management, mobile CRM, CRM free, SaaS CRM, crm software and business intelligence solutions – none seem to match the confidence in continued growth as the combination of software-as-a-service and cloud computing. "Cloud Software as a Service (SaaS) offerings continue to grow impressively," affirms Ahmar Abbas, SVP, remote infrastructure management of CSS Corp., a global IT company. "SaaS-only vendors have risen in all key software domains and have successfully challenged the packaged software application companies." There are solid reasons for such widespread and enthusiastic adoption rates. "The virtues of a hosted solution are legendary," says Bill Johnson, CEO of Jesubi. "SaaS providers hardware is consistently upgraded and amortized against thousands of other customers; software upgrades happen dynamically with no involvement from the end-user; response times allow for end-user success; and there are no incremental service fees to manage the hardware infrastructure or break-fix issues." "It's too common-sensical in today's economy to do anything other than a hosted solution," suggests Johnson. It appears that companies from large to small are quick to seize these advantages and learn from the experience. "According to our most recent survey, cloud and SaaS are still gaining market share, and a lot of the myths are being shaken off," explains Shari Lava, senior research analyst for Info-Tech Research. "The total cost of ownership (TCO) is about the same after three years – so don't make your decision based on that," she advises. "And SaaS products have nearly equal functionality." Considering myths have been busted and the old rules of thumb have been given the finger, how is one to know whether or not to thumb a ride on the cloud computing and SaaS CRM bandwagon? Info-Tech's Lava breaks it down this way: Choose CRM SaaS if … There is a lack of executive support or CRM strategy and you need a departmental solution right away. You need to speed up the customer relationship management implementation process. You need a business software solution right now that can grow with you as needed. A lot of companies that went through a failed big-bang CRM project are trying SaaS CRM, but are doing so cautiously and want to see results before they continue their roll outs. You have too few IT staff available to support and administrate the business system over the long term. You have no disaster recovery plan for CRM so keeping it on someone else's locations seems smart. Little offline capability is needed. Choose On-Premise or Hosted CRM if … There is a legislative or regulatory requirement to host your own data or keep it in a certain jurisdiction. You require complex system integration with large data volumes. Info-Tech's survey suggests that customers are still having some trouble getting the kind of tight integration mid-size and large companies need. Solving this challenge is key for SaaS CRM solutions to continue to move up market. Data integration can be tricky enough to begin with, but there are several factors that complicate it further, such as large data volumes integrated across the web and firewall configuration issues. You want to align CRM software with your existing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software system and the on-premise product is different or superior. Heavy offline capability is required. In Defend Hosting we provide both types of solutions: SaaS CRM (CRM as a service). You can read here more information or click here to go directly to our specialized CRM site IncomeCRM.com Hosted CRM. We can install and maintain your CRM free or CRM software on premise or hosted in our datacenters, with our Virtual Private Servers or Dedicated Servers.

Top 5 Rewards of SaaS CRM
Total Cost of Ownership (TCO). It’s no coincidence that the last SaaS risk may actually be a SaaS reward. SaaS entry costs are certainly lower and SaaS converts capital expenditures into operational expenses (capex to opex). Studies form analyst firms such as Yankee Group and Gartner have illustrated that even with the recurring nature of the SaaS subscription model, the cumulative effect of subscriptions may still be much less than the one-time capital expenditure associated with on-premise CRM systems.Verification strategy: As suggested, to determine whether SaaS TCO is a risk or a reward, create a multiple year cash projection that is reflective of your organizational environment. For on-premise systems, don’t shortchange the calculation by failing to include real world expenses such as computer hardware, redundant systems, platform software (such as databases, operating systems, backup programs, etc.), application software annual maintenance fees, and labor associated with system administration, database administration, near annual system upgrades, information security and IT trouble-shooting. Also remember that hardware must be upgraded or recycled about every three years. Realistic cost projections should also include the management time involved with operating in house information systems. Focus on Core Competencies. It’s been my observation that this SaaS reward varies in importance by region; being a top purchase criteria in America and one of a top 3 or 4 in the Middle East, Latin America and Eastern Europe. In a conversation I had with Gartner’s Rob Desisto, he commented that cost is not the primary decision criteria for SaaS, instead limited resources and time to market are the most influential factors. Clearly, outsourcing a non-core competency such as business software administration to outside experts removes what is often viewed as a headache function and reallocates management time to more critical areas.Verification strategy: SaaS providers manage the IT infrastructure, delivery platform, maintenance releases, new version upgrades, backups, disaster recovery and information security. Even though these functions are handled by the provider, IT buyers are wise to understand these processes and in particular their frequency and how they may affect the customers utilization of the application. Predictable Expenses. SaaS pricing models are normally per user per month subscriptions. This type of utility based pricing is simple, predictable and reduces cost surprises and overruns.Verification strategy: The caveat here is to avoid shelfware, or maybe its now called cloudware. Vendors often require customers to prepay SaaS subscriptions in order to secure aggressive discounts. While such a move may be financially worthwhile, it is generally cost ineffective to pay for user subscriptions prior to the go-live cut-over or before those users come online. Instead, defer most user subscriptions during the implementation period and agree to a schedule whereby subscriptions are activated as users begin using the system. Accelerated Time To Market. With no hardware to implement and no software to install, SaaS deployments are much faster than on-premise CRM software implementations. Due in part to their browser-based interfaces and intuitive navigation, on-demand systems often also achieve a shorter learning curve and more successful user adoption.Verification strategy: Implementation consultants are very valuable, but expensive. A time and cost implementation comparison between SaaS and on-premise deployments will reveal the cost savings. Business Agility. SaaS applications permit companies to scale up or down their user count or software utilization on-demand. This is a big change from on-premise systems which require IT departments to purchase, implement and forever manage expensive IT infrastructures ‘just in case’ they’re needed – and provides no refunds or credits if the company doesn’t grow according to projections or reduces staff.Verification strategy: Make sure you don’t turn this SaaS reward into a risk with a vendor contract that imposes minimum user counts or penalties for subscription reductions. Focusing on risks and rewards which deliver bottom line business impact, and not getting sidetracked into the nebulous techno jargon, will aid business and IT buyers in determining whether SaaS CRM software systems make the best business sense for their organisations.   Read the full article

My thoughts on A Calculus of Angels (book 2 of the Age of Unreason series)
Tumblr media
Okay, holy hell this was a good one, Greg definitely improved from the first book and it really shows. The characters are better written and more interesting, the tech has been expanded and we even have a new villain and side characters! While the first book swapped the focus between Adrienne and Ben with a chapter about one and the next about the other, this book does the same but also throws in our new deuteragonist Red Shoes the Choctaw shaman, with everyone pretty much coming together in the same place near the end. So now that we've got the intro out of the way, let's hit the major points!
Setting and pacing: Taking place 3 years after the first book, we find ourselves in a post apocalyptic world after the massive meteor fell wiping out Britain, France, and the Netherlands and throwing the rest of the world into disjointed chaos. For Countries like Italy and what's left of France, there are no rulers, only people leading small, scattered factions (except for Venice, having the Sultan of Turkey).
In the three years Adrienne has since given birth to Nicholas' son, whom she named after him; along with her and Crecy finally finding safety with a faction lead by The Duke of Loraine and an old friend of Nicholas'.
Ben, Sir Isaac, and Robert are now in Prague working for the emperor in exchange for being able to live there. After a failed kidnapping by Russians, Ben finds himself with a new bodyguard in the form of Captain Peter Frisk.
Back in America Red Shoes, an ambassador of the Choctaw people, decides to join Blackbeard, now trying to become a governor for a North Carolina settlement, in order to convince the settlers to end their hostility towards the Choctaw and see if anything is left of the Old World.
The pacing has gotten much better since the first book, it no longer feels like a chore to read through certain chapters and things move more quickly with better focus on more important situations while mixing in some verbal humor and period-scentric sarcasm.
Characters: Our main duo have grown a lot in the past three years. Ben, now 17, has grown to be like any other hormonal teen, he's had to run for his life from a man whose daughter he slept with; he's made, as Robert puts it "Jesus shoes", a pair of shoes that allow him to stand and walk/run on water (something he loves to show off); and, sadly, his pride and ego have taken hold of him when he isn't blaming himself for what happened to London. He also has a few rather adorable moments with the Emperor's five year old daughter, clearing his name by convincing her that an evil shape-shifting sorcerer who wishes to kill the emperor captured Ben, put him in coffin in the river, and disguising himself as Ben; until the real Ben used a magic potion to shrink to the size of a gnat and escape to tell her. His ability to come up with ideas on the fly has also gotten better, going from 'let's throw this thing and see if it works' to 'let's use kite lines to guide Kraftspistol shots and lightning at the airships.' Now if only he could work on trying to stop being so thick headed and understand things from another person's perspective, instead of doing shit like making Isaac cry...
Adrienne has taken some HELLA levels in badass. While in the first book she was a smart but boring damsel character (note: not a damsel in distress, she's never had to be rescued. But a damsel character that is mostly the boring but smart lady) she’s now a fighter and a loving mother with a strong sense of morality. SPOILER: when she learns that in the chaos of a town turned against them, six soldiers are attempting to rape a 13 year old girl, Adrienne grabs a pistol, bursts in bashing the men over the head, and commanding them to leave the girl alone or Adrienne herself would kill them. She also has new supernatural powers and the ability to speak to and control a Malakus (or Djinn, as she calls it) that can alter the alchemical elements and even connect and melt swords in a man's hands. This power actually earns the undying loyalty of the Duke's soldiers and the affections of Hercule D'Argenson, Nicholas' old friend. While also having a long budding relationship with Crecy, who is an absolute joy, especially when drunk.
Sir Isaac Newton has kinda become that "good job, son" guy to Ben, caring for him very deeply but estranging himself because, as anyone who's read about him knows, Newton was never exactly a very sociable person (his soured relationship with Fatio also DIDN’T help); Ben even gets in a spat calling him out on this before the final battle when Isaac wants to flee Venice and take Ben with him. They end up forgiving each other when Newton changes his mind at the last second and rescues Ben, Robert, and Charles from Peter's skyship after the battle leaves it sinking quickly, leading to a touchingly sweet hug between master and apprentice. However, his standoff-ishness has pushed him out of focus compared to the first book in order for Ben to come in more.
Red Shoes has, sadly, taken on the semi-damsel role. He's powerful and likable with many wondrous powers that tie in closely with his native heritage; but at times he can be a bit dull in the personality section. But the personality flaw is overshadowed by damn near everything else about him, especially once he forms a close bond with Tug, who after Red Shoes rescues them from a torturous death cult, views him as the bravest man in Blackbeard's crew and a dear friend. He's your wise, powerful, strong native man that was able to beat the ever loving shit out of a cult as they were trying to torture him, all while having to fight off the demons that follow him and the various levels of trauma that comes with the death of his Shadow Children (familiars that he conjures from his own soul at the cost of his mental and spiritual health).
Peter the Great follows the same formula of Louis, he's a villain that won't hesitate to torture his own son, even if it pains him, but he's also quite friendly and understanding to Adrienne, Crecy, and their group, even being described as having a childlike hunger for exploration and love of showing people his many inventions such the flying airships. You can definitely see the antagonist side but it's counteracted by his general affability and modesty (while Louis would be decked out in gold, jewels and everything kingly; Peter prefers common uniforms that don't even show a rank much less the fact that he's the Tsar). I can't really say if this is even close to an accurate portrayal seeing as how I know more about Karl XII than Peter; speaking of which.
Peter Frisk/Charles XII (I would say spoiler, but just google Karl XII and you'll figure this out after like, 2 minutes on wikipedia) is portrayed as the (depending on who you ask) gloriously beautiful disaster of a train wreck that he was. Going from king to essentially babysitter of a monarchy hating teenager and his often drunk friend for a few months all while dealing with assassination attempts, kidnapping attempts, and the eventual invasion of Prague; he's relatively calm and friendly towards Ben until the big reveal and final battle. In the last stand against the Russians we see everything Charles is famous for. His near inhuman skills as tactician with an idea Ben came up with on the spot, the almost reckless gusto that drove him to charge into every battle even after his defeat at Poltava, his ability to skyrocket morale when everybody wants to run and leave him to either flee or be captured. And when he finally gets near Peter all of his built up anger explodes turning his axe-crazy ferocity up to eleven, one scene basically describing him as a cyclone of blood as his blade damn near decapitates and slaughters everyone in his way; even a historically accurate moment where he catches and enemy blade with his hand before brutally semi-beheading the sword's wielder (the grabbing blade part, not the decapitation). In the end, we also see his trustworthiness, when he keeps his word to the people of Venice, paying them in compensation for the losses of life and collateral damages before heading off to find Peter again because Charles, even in reality, was pretty much a Swedish JRPG protagonist with an unending rivalry/vendetta against Peter.
End thoughts: This volume was damn good, like I said before and I can but can't wait to read the next one. I can wait because I'll let this text thread I sent to Lucky speak for itself:
Tumblr media
On a side note, I think the reason this series has impacted me more than something like say, Skulduggery Pleasant, is because of the fandom. I think there's only myself and maybe two other people in here, we're basically the book version of the Bravestarr fandom; two people and a shoestring with no fanfics and only one piece of fanart. Because of the lack of content and a wikipedia page that can barely even be called that, I'm stuck going in completely blind. I don't know whose going to die or how the battles will play out and reading through some chapters actually had me gripping my hands and damn near curling in on the computer and I love it!
While the SP fandom is much larger and I can't really filter out book 8 and 9 spoilers because they've been out so long and anyone and their mother could find out everything by browsing the tag or going straight to the fan-made wiki, so while a character's death may hurt it doesn't have the same 'throw the book against the wall screaming' effect on me as The Age of Unreason series does.
All in all, I stand by my point, I'm stuck between wanting to hug Greg Keyes and wanting punch him, he knows how to tug your heart strings and drag you in by them, my tears are probably feeding him and god help us all if you get him, Derek Landy, and George R.R Martin in the same room to come up with a story. please check out this series, I need people to talk to.
