shout out to that time i was using my OCs in a screenwriting class and had a character that, in his lore outside of this screenplay, was gay, living with a woman who was ace, but because i didn't have time to address that they were living together simply because they are just that close as friends, everyone was like "why are they denying they're a couple? clearly they are!"

and i was sitting there internally like "sometimes you are a pair of lonely best friends who decide to be roommates in a community of like 300 people, so you just pretend you're together bc that's easier than explaining anything"

anyhow, since i was trying to do a narrative about something other than queerness, i was just threw in a line like "they're the sort of people who are like 'well i guess if we're not married by 35 maybe we'll marry each other'" and that stopped the many, many questions i was getting
