#thinking about it and i’m curious what the reasoning was for christophe being added to the giro team#it’s not a bad decision bc he can fill the leadout role wout would have had with olav and potentially go for stages but it’s also a bit ??#i know they’re really in a bind for grand-tour level riders right now with injuries and such so options are limited#but christophe himself is coming back from illness and the idea of 2 riders (him and tratnik) down for the double is risky to me#especially since christophe will (i assume) do the olympics as well which is reportedly part of why wout didn’t/doesn’t want to do the tour#but leaving your only french rider off the tour team in favor of sending him to the giro is also bit strange#of course i’ll be happy to see him and his pretty euro champ jersey but it’s interesting to me
