finally finished that comic for @pancake-x2's genius idea of parrot finding the omz mask. you can kinda tell where i gave up doing this but tbh im just glad its finally fucking done

TWO MOOTS ASKED FOR SOGGY DUO(/dead wife polycule) AU YAY MORNING GUYS (ranting under cut cause idk if itll be long LMAO)

ok so i THINK this takes place like in between s1 and s2, not just a s2 rewrite ^_^ EUGH im tired this is gonna be in dot points i fear

after s1 parrot spends a good amount of time at their snow house, bc its the last thing they have of him, except it feels wrong to be in a warm house without wifies there so a LOT of this time is spent just sitting at wifies' grave lost-dog style

ken and wato are the only other people who come to wifies grave (or you can add other people to the dead wife polycule if u want idk), the first few times are just ken, she tries to ignore parrot as MUCH as possible cause this aint about them (kenrrot still constantly get pulled together by the wifies string of fate but. for now ken is trying to not acknowledge that pull as much as possible. they have their doom later maybe)

^ parrot does try to talk to her a few times, but they get shut down immediately (ken also tries to visit a few times when parrot isn't there bc she cant talk to wifies grave properly with someone else there)

after maybe like. a week? idk, wato visits by herself !! (idk what kenwato is doing atm but it feels like theyre in a breakup in s2 and its KILLING ME- wato also self isolated after wifies' death so idk)

soggy duo interactions r a lot less rage fueled - wato says she can leave if they need (she has not talked to anyone since wifies atp) parrot makes a very poor attempt at pretending theyre not desperate for her to stay

their conversation is the first thing that makes parrot feel like wifies is there, wato is the only person whos talked about wifies without it being laced with "you did this to him, this is what YOU and everyone else lost" (wato and parrot both denial/nostalgia-stage maxxing)

wato leaves, it feels empty again, so parrot finds her the next day and tries to convince wato to let them stay in the least soggy way possible (its soggy duo though you KNOW they failed) ((wato lets them stay though))

parrot starts asking them about farming civ, pre-uu etc. in a poorly-veiled attempt to ask about wifies that wato sees right through and gets pissed at them for it like "youre not the only one mourning him" (this is the scene i tried writing dialogue for and failed LMAO) and parrot fairly quickly folds, apologises, and they sit in very tense silence for a little bit

then, wato does end up talking about wifies (in farland civ) , except its just about how much he defended and worried about parrot, how much parrot hurt him, how sometimes it felt like wato was hurting from it more than wifies bc of how much he tried to hide it

parrot talks ab how they meant to apologise but they thought they had more time, wato understands but they dont give them absolution or anything

they DO help each other get through the grief a little i think. parrot stops wato from isolating herself, wato lets parrot be able to talk about their grief while also being able to tell them off for doing Parrot Things, they are slightly SLIGHTLY healthy trust!!!

they get doomed with it though (maybe qpr-ful who knows) and eventually seperate again ILL FIGURE OUT HOW ok those r all my thoughts i think (except this kinda goes with the watfies au for wato's experience in this but watfies au is. so long im not posting it again) SORRY THIS IS SO LONG
