Hi do you study languages as part of your degree?

Hi, thank you for your question! :)

I don't study them for my degree but my university is connected with the language center in my city and we get to take the classes for free and also to some extend we can have them count in our General Studies section of our degree. At this point though I can't have them added anymore because there's a limit (for some reason).

I just do them because I like understanding things, or more because I hate NOT understanding things. If I could I would learn all the languages just to be able to understand them because the ignorance I feel at not understanding just scratches at me like a poltergeist.

But I have this with everything really. It's why I started playing chess, because I got tired of having no clue about what people were talking about with all their chess references in literature and so on. Like, why's everyone so obsessed with this game?

Then I thought, oh. There's actually a learning curve. So I'd better get good at it to really understand it. It doesn't help you to know how the pieces move, you have to dive deeper to really see the beauty of the game.

Anyway, I think it's similar with languages. No point knowing the alphabet if you don't understand the words. How is it there are so many languages that use almost the exact same alphabet and I still don't understand what they're saying? That's not fair! So I just have to learn them.

Then I think, wait. What about all the other alphabets? How come there's just this whole other system of signs?? And I have no idea what those stand for?? But they do!! Hate it, have to learn it. I want to be part of the illumined circle.

It's the same thing with everything for me. I believe if you're stubborn enough you can learn anything unless there is a real reason you can't (for example, I can't play piano very well because I have very small hands sadge). And truly I wish I had the time to do that but unfortunately life is short and I have to pick and choose what I spend my time on.

But that doesn't mean I won't be enjoying the hell of it while I do it.

so the buzzfeed unsolved video. enderboo actually shows up in the video. then it starts raining. the water burns him and he sadge. it’s only a short sprinkle tho (: he picks up a square of tree and gives it to the buzzfeed dudes. all in all, pretty successful video. they even managed to communicate through writing bc one of them knows the galactic alphabet (enchanting table language) he even teleports them around a bit (with their permission ofc)

Oh I love that. I love that so much. Just Enderboo appearing in the middle of the video and giving them flowed and just doing stuff for the buzz feed dudes. I love that.
