I'm thinking a lot about Solas as an artist but also a musician. I'm thinking about him composing songs to express emotion, to chronicle history, but also, most significantly about music as something that is for himself. From "Memories of a Duet":

"The relief of private achievement," "an unspoken joy" -- music as a means of self-expression for a person who used to be a spirit, who used to exist solely in the Fade without a body. Music as magic -- the way Bellara describes Fade resonance, that "the counter-resonance of the dampener is tuned to this specific part of the Fade" and "There's a theory that every mage has a unique resonance—the way they touch magic is just a little bit different" (Magic Dampener Notes, emphasis mine.)

My drawing tablet's still being weird. Not being able to draw with it makes me sad, so I've been making more music to compensate.

The rhythm is still somehow a little similar to my other songs. I guess my subconscious is really attached to that kind of beat.
