Spock acting all cool and confident like he had a plan when he was actually just paralyzed with the knowledge that Chapel and M'Benga were on that ship, and that he would have to give the order to kill them? That's everything to me. He was so distressed, sobbing and inconsolable, because he waited. But the thing is, M'Benga and Chapel only launched SECONDS before Spock gave the order to fire. So if he hadn't waited he really would have killed them. They're emotionally torturing this guy and Ethan Peck is so very good at crying.
