The idea that Treviso has special ziplines for the Crows to have an easier time going about stabbing people is hilarious to me because in my head Antivans have perfected hostile architecture in an attempt to keep Crows out. Roofs just crammed with statues and traps and dead ends and magical anti-grip paint (all tastefully appointed, of course)
You know, standard pigeon proofing. For bigger pigeons.

So does anybody else ever think about how Loop felt the need to demonstrate that the party's deaths wouldn't have any effect on the loops. I know I do but that's besides the point. Anyway I don't think Loop actually needs to bathe, they just like to feel included.

i love how directly after the bombs people have lost all manner of thought on how to sew or tailor clothing, but they still own 200+ year old pre-war spring wear or summer shorts and a crudely put together brahmin outfit. oh btw smiths still exist at the top of their game making all kinds of crazy mods such as asbestos lining, energy protection and even bio comm mesh. just saying.

the way it happened is truly everyone's worst fear, and the episode puts a spotlight on what those fears are. k trying to fix something and fucking it up massively. when she airdrops all her stuff, it didn't feel like "k's still thinking about her network etc", it felt like defeat, giving up the work she was doing as itsy for someone else, cause she's lost all confidence in her ability to fix what she was trying to fix. sam tries to help with magic, and her wand doesn't work, and she's confronted with how helpless she is without it. she hosts a show with magic in the name but when she needs it, when she calls for it, it doesn't come, and without it all she is (all she fears that she is) is just being shiny on the outside with nothing on the inside. jammer having less than a minute to feel grief and fear before he just locks in on what he needs to do, where they need to go, because jammer feels responsible for everyone he cares about so he feels responsible for this, he can't face evan's shadow because he can't fail evan again because he's already failed to be there before. and then evan! having to be rescued, being inconvenient and throwing off their mission, and then coming back with no clothes, is the worst! he's so sad about how his presence is making his friends' lives worse because k and jammer can't even look at him, he tried to help sam in whatever way he can and it just upset her, and then he socially trapped sam into assuring him she cares about him. he has to ask a magic goat a question and he doesn't know how and even though the goat ends up giving him the theoretical right answer, now it's disappointed in him because he used a cop out! very bad no good day for evan. man.

something ive been itching to share lately was the fact that i actually did end up watching la tulipe noire (the black tulip) aka the movie that was referenced for norton's black tulip skin (you know the ONE) and the thing that got me the most was the fact that the main character/supporting character and his "love interest" were WAY TOO SIMILAR to constabell and it makes me wanna explode and cry abt it.... let me explain why
the love interest -- caro found julien injured after he fell on his horse. she was actually in the middle of her WEDDING (wow who else had a wedding in her lore????????) so she briefly called off her wedding to help him up while everyone watched and laughed at him (WOW WHO ELSE LAUGHED AT THE POOR MAN WHILE HE STRUGGLED?) and she even bothered to take him back to her home to properly treat his wound (WOW DOESNT THAT SOUND FAMILIAR????????????)

not only that, but the way caro was characterized- her father wanted a son (JUST LIKE IRENES DAD) but since he only had caro, he raised her like a son so she knew how to wield a sword and she was actually the one who taught julien how to use a sword properly. i think thats so cute wkwiwkwiw it reminded me of how i wanted irene to be a little more "rebellious" or "out of her feminine zone" and i even once considered giving irene the skill to fence but never really went with it. caro's actually really tough and independent and i just kept telling myself "omg shes so irene fr" LOLSKSKSKSK
that aside, there was this one scene that came up that made me wanna redraw this someday -- she was treating his wound and then this happened

I know this goes against the whole ethos of Game Changer, but hear me out:
Episode in which the players screw with Sam instead of the other way around.
Contestants would obviously be those who've been messed with the most on prior episodes - Brennan, Rekha, Grant and/or Jess.
The mechanic might be some variant on "If you get a point, you can make Sam do something" or a live version of Fluxx.

Okay, a few years back I made this graphic to explain the Great Cycle. Now that I've mulled over DD2 for a few days, I'm updating it. Some of the same assumptions as before remain: The Dragonforged fought the dragon, his weapon broke, he tried punching it (lmao), but he did survive without killing the dragon, possibly there was a second Bargain offered in the face of his determination. So you don't have to kill your dragon to survive it. Also still assuming that different classes become different types of drakes because I just like that detail, even though we see nothing to confirm it in DD2 (except maybe for the wyrms in the post-game, I hope that's what those are, just a bit redesigned).
But this time, I'm making some NEW assumptions: A Great Dragon can be manifested directly by the Seneschal's will (I'm guessing this is why our DD2 dragon doesn't have a name, I suspect this dragon was created after Rothais defeated his - he didn't become a dragon OR Seneschal so it had to come from somewhere). The challenge a Seneschal poses to the Arisen can be anything; Savan gave us the opening of the Everfall and unleashed a ton of powerful monsters upon the world; but Pathfinder gave us what the world would look like without a Seneschal to oversee things. My assumption is that the Colossal Dragon that appears out of that final red pillar of light IS the Pathfinder (possibly using his will to force order back upon the world) and when we kill it, our Arisen becomes Seneschal (because Pathfinder says he won't be there to see the new world that's forming). So the challenge can be anything, not just the Everfall. I'm curious what happens to our pawn after that fight, though. And it's a much better Seneschal fight than the one against Savan, sorry Savan.
I'm also assuming that (given we see the Pathfinder rewind time and rewrite the world) the Seneschal can simply will the world into a state of being that suits them. This includes wiping memories of events. Though I like to imagine that our Arisen-turned-Seneschal didn't wipe memories of themselves or of the apocalypse-world. There was an entire plotline going through this game with Rothais and Phaesus where mortals are trying to get rid of the Seneschal and so it makes sense that they need to remember what would happen without the Seneschal's presence.
Anyway, thanks. I'll probably have more thoughts later, but this is the part that gets me most. I like to know how things work so I wanted to sort the Cycle out.

Was soooooo happy with this phase 1 which is what made it so much funnier that I was immediately clapped by his phase 2 😂
#romina is still my fave boss but messmer is a solid second#almost every other boss I would describe as “would’ve been good if their damage wasn’t so overtuned”#my stance if that if I’m consistently losing to a boss with 10/14 flasks left the damage is overtuned#vs me losing to sword saint isshin with no gourds or pellets left bc he was tough enough to whittle me down#fromsoft bros will say get good but think high numbers is big difficulty#an actually difficult boss doesn’t need big damage output if the mechanics are the challenge#I don’t actually mind how relentless the bosses are in ER but I mind how HARD they hit on top of that#dodging a 12 hit uninterruptible combo where each move does like 1/10th of your health? that’s fine.#if I properly time 3 of those dodges I can still make it and it’s honestly my bad if I’m getting killed by that#dodging a 12 hit uninterruptible combo where each hit takes out 1/2 of ur health bar & has a 50% chance for an additional retaliation combo?#I *can* do it but Jesus Christ what a waste of my time lmao#how am I supposed to learn a boss when I can’t get into a flow state bc a single mistake can end a run smh#I just beat gaius and I didn’t even feel accomplished I was just like ugh finally#I feel like 95% of his moves are fine once you work out the delays and positioning#but I kept getting clipped by his charge attack like I would dodge out of the way but once the i frames were finished I’d still get hit#bc I guess I wasn’t dodging a perfect 90 degrees to him and the hitbox for that attack is long as hell#which would be whatever if that move didn’t take out like 2/3 of my health and come out nigh instantly#I don’t even really know the tell for the move bc I beat him before I learned it bc I lucked out on a run where he didn’t charge me a lot#luckily the game is absolute DELIGHT to look at and explore that I can forgive the absolute bullshittery of the bosses#like I just got to the summit of dragon peak and I’m blown away by the design of that mountain#if we’re talking verisimilitude in games how about that whole shebang#no obvious well worn path up to the top of the mountain bc it’s just for dragons who’s gonna be walking up there?#having the player follow a trail of increasingly dense dragon corpses is SUCH a great tone setter#which means I’m probably going to hate bayle but whatever I’m already invested let’s gooooo#tsuchi plays games

28. "Marry me?"
Kid wonders how many boyfriends Cindy’s had before him. She leads him onto the playground, bright and cheerful, every step confident and familiar. It’s a path she’s walked many times before, and will walk many times again. He’s only eight loops in, but it already feels as though Kid has been reliving the same day again and again for an eternity.
“Marry me?” She says, eyes sparkling as she romanticises the idea of being bound together forever. Forever is a very long time. Kid hopes Monday won’t last that long. Will their marriage vows be discounted if he’s sent back to a time before he earnt her affections yet again? 
No matter how Kid feels about the matter, there's no saying no to Cindy. He looks at her expectant gaze and the impatience in her smile, and offers a routine, "Yes, dear."
There’s something futile about it all, something hopeless. She hands him a gummy ring makes the dolls in the dollhouse kiss each other on the cheek, and says that no matter what, they’ll get through everything as a pair. Cindy hates the idea of being alone, but she pushes away everyone who comes close. Kid watches as Buggs bristles in the corner, as Lily shies away, as Jerome dismisses and Monty keeps his distance and Applegate’s face twists into a sneer. Cindy goes through boyfriends like they’re simply the day’s laundry. It’s somewhat odd that she’s so endeared to the idea of being loved for infinity.
Kid makes empty vows in a playground where nothing matters. Cindy asks him to marry her. Buggs sentences him to death for it. By the time Kid awakes in his bedroom once again, she’s forgotten he ever existed.

I wish Survive were a better srpg. Most of the time, you don't really have to think hard about what units to include beyond 1) Including Falcomon, the god and 2) Making sure you have the right attribute (which means you're gonna favor the vaccine types, since most enemies are the virus kind).
If you play in hard and only use the kids mons without grinding (except in that piemon fight lol Guilmon clutch...), the route-specific stretches can be a bit more fun since the kenzoku have elemental weaknesses and actually have killer status effects. Keeping in mind the elemental nature of your units' attacks and the equipment you have did make playing Wrathful more fun for me (and the Moral route does have a handful of non-kenzoku difficult fights due terrain and status effects); yet fighting the master and Plutomon (orz) was way too easy still lol
Anyway, I still wish there was more to think about wrt the partnermon as units; Labramon going from support unit to being mostly offensse-based is a really fun thought (Cerberumon also having strong defense —wherein she will still guard even if you pick an action— due the armor really tickles me). But most of the partnermon are all-rounders, and the way they all got only two moves (the physical one and their signature) plus their passive supports makes the experience very half-baked. Kaito's support is about strengthening physical damage, and he's our resident brawler, so it'd be fun if Dracumon and evos reflected this with having more physical attacks and a bit more mobility (but less than Falcomon). Funnily enough, the one partnermon with broken physical attacks is actually Plutomon LMAO To begin with, she has a three-tile range in any direction with it. But if you deploy her alongside Mugendramon, whose passive extends physical attack range, then you get a 4-tile range LOL I wish these kinda combinations were relevant when playing.

#Doodles#Original#Another idea smol and I are working on together :D Been a bit!#She came up with the concept on this one and I fell in love with it <3 She's very cool hehe#If you're familiar with the game Minit it has Something of a similar premise - not the same strict time pressure but yes on the time loop#Y'ever notice how in some games it seems like the wandering trader or traveling shop seems to come upon you rather than the other way around#:3c Hm ♪ Wonder how they'd know where you were gonna be :3c#The crux is that you play as the weapons shop owner and you're responsible for supplying the hero and his team with weapons!#Except the BBEG has gotten wise to how the hero keeps defeating him and it sick of it - so the shop owner is cursed to be in a time loop!#I love the concept <3 It sounds so fun to play in and there's still plenty of room to think about the mechanics and how it would be played#As well as the art design! :D#We threw around some character concepts - she's really into Baldur's Gate 3 at the moment so of course they had some influence in hers hehe#Only got the starting party for the moment but there are plans for a full team of 4 plus the shopkeep >:3c And various other NPCs lol#A lot of the gameplay would basically boil down to being a bartering simulator hehe ♪#Very RPG trade-this-for-that style quests - under a time limit! Hehe#Since it's the type of game that pretty much requires replaying sections time-loop-style it's all about how quickly you can trial and error#And then hightail it to where you need to be lol#I think we were also tossing around a nap mechanic to skip right to the time loop reset in case you mess up a run haha#I gotta get back to Majora's Mask at some point I swear#We still have a good bit of concept work to do on the art side of things - she's also been really into pixel art lately and I love pixel art#I also managed to pick up a full release of one of the RPGMakers :D So that's an exciting possibility!#I haven't learned most of its ins and outs yet but I do know About importing custom assets at the very least >:3c#Same with Novelty and I haven't done that yet either lol - all in due time! joyous news. you know how the fallout setting is on kind of a skew for dead man talking? nothing major, but little things here and there. shaun never existed, so someone else is director, which means the institute is slightly different, so on. that specific setting is the one me and The Girls are using for the tabletop, which means that while dmt/dww is over, the incessant prewar Bits are not and BOY are they numerous
