Me after catching up with the manga and realizing your right
Tumblr media
THEORY TIME:
The children of the F.O.L orphanage are being raised in a specific environment, not for their blood, but for the Cinematic Records to keep certain others alive.
In earlier arcs, we know the Undertaker tried using false records and failed, then he tried stretching out real records by looping them, and now he may be using "look alike" records to keep the real ones going. That would explain why the children in Pomeranian are being raised to be copies of R!Ciel, down to his clothing.
The class Ginny was in wear clothing that closely resemble Doll's ensemble and Ginny's Fledgling Day was moved up right after Doll showed signs of regressing. Not to mention the importance of horse riding in their group (which we know Doll was skilled at).
But then who are the other groups keeping alive? Well, we know that one group is definitely training to be a butler and that one of Undertaker's lackies IS a butler (possibly Sébastien? Maybe Agni?) So that explains one class.
And the last? A group of biological boys living life as a woman? While I'm hoping this ISN'T where Yana is going with it, there's only one transgender woman in the series who we haven't seen in quite some time and that's Grell.

Name: Mecha Nokonoko
Debut: Yoshi's Safari
Never before in the Mario franchise has a Koopa Troopa meant business to such a degree! You probably know Yoshi's Safari as the "Mario with a gun" game and little else, if you know about it at all. You are probably not at all surprised to learn now that the Koopalings are all bosses in it. Kind of boring, but they pilot some funny mechs that look like they're from Bomberman or something! The REAL interesting thing, however, comes in the later portion of the game...
Tumblr media
The game's setting, Jewelry Land, has been split into a Light and Dark realm. The Light realm is where the Koopalings appear, but after they're all defeated, there are more bosses before Bowser! A Magikoopa, a Big Boo, a Chargin' Chuck, and last, but certainly MOST, a Koopa Troopa. As the penultimate boss of the game! Last bastion before Bowser! A Koopa Troopa!
Tumblr media
^ This animal right here!
This was the very first time a Koopa Troopa had ever been a larger threat than a basic enemy, and while we have had notable Koopa Troopas both heroic and villainous since, I still feel like this one means the most Business. Maybe some Paper Mario partner Koopas are pluckier. But do they have as much GUMPTION? I guess they could have as much, to be honest, but it's no reason to downplay THIS Koopa's gumption.
Tumblr media
"Mecha Nokonoko" really just means "Mecha Koopa Troopa", and that is indeed what's going on here. This Koopa pilots a massive submarine in its own likeness, armed with a bunch of cannons. And I don't really care about the gameplay to be honest I just think this is so so cool! If a regular ol' Koopa Troopa tries hard enough and believes in itself, it can be the second to last boss in a game, trusted by Bowser to be almost his second in command. Wow!
You know how Zelda has a "the hero is defeated" timeline? Mario could have one of those, and it could be right here. Mario and Yoshi are defeated by Mecha Nokonoko, and this specific Koopa Troopa is celebrated in the Koopa Kingdom as a champion, having defeated he who which even Bowser never could for long. And it would become the new leader of the Koopa Troop, as Bowser retires, and Koopa Troopa would realize it's just been following orders this time, and isn't actually into kidnapping and conquest like Bowser was. It just wants to have fun in life, and keep expressing its interest in operating machinery. And then it goes on to become the Koopa Troopa who is playable in Mario Kart (ignore that Super Mario Kart released a year before Yoshi's Safari)! Who knew Yoshi's Safari had so much lore! It's actually awesome!

Echo Parents (5. Chase)
So. A quick recap; TJ has reasonable, loving parents, with no indication that there is any problems beyond what any kid might have with their parents, potentially marred only by over-protectiveness (reasonable) Leo and Carl have overall positive relationship's with parents, with significant issues that aren't easily overcome, and contribute to their kids issues, which lead them to identify more with friends overall. Jenna, Syd, and Flynn have abusive parents, and much of the stories they have are about dealing with that, and how friends can share the burdens. Clint, Jeremy, Heather, Micha and Keith are all examples of when the support network Can't bridge the gap (In this case, their Flynn example, Keith, was taken too soon, and they had literally no positive examples to otherwise help) So, given all of that overall. What is up with Chase's parents. Going over everything, it's....strange. In all the other examples, the parents reflect the kids beliefs and values. In Chase's case, the greatest part's of his story are about his avoidance to conflict, his lack of desires, his own communication issues, and his inability to make meaningful decisions. But it really honestly doesnt seem like Chases parent's reflect this? Like, in Route 65, Chase mentions that his mom locked herself in a room, and the dad could only "Laugh awkwardly" at the impromptu outing. Then, there is the implication that they accepted the relationship, but nothing else. It is mentioned that they punished Chase for some of his behavior as a child (Which, in his own words, was dickish), like leaving TJ to clean Duke's yard alone, and there are other minor instances of mention, but nothing that leads to a really clear or obvious picture like anyone else. They held some barbiques, did some things that annoyed younger chase, and that is that. At best, given whats in Cannon (even more with the beginning phone call and Chase's remincing in Flynn's route), you could determine them as just being....normal parents. But that doesn't feel right. Its strange, for normal parents to have that much of an opposition to filmography, of all things. Carl's not wanting an art degree is a classic complaint, but Flim? Even more, it just seems...odd. Like, Chase isn't really defined by being normal. His parents seemingly not having a large impact, positively or negatively, on anything, without note, seems off. Wrong. I have ideas, of course, on things they could've been presented as. If his parents were awkward, never commuting to condemning or helping him after he came out, or even before not approving of anything he did, yet not outright rejecting him like with Sydney, that could fit Or, if Chase Felt like he had a normal childhood, and then realized he hadn't spoken to his parents in YEARS, that would also be a fitting commentary. Or if his parent's notably had a rocky relationship, more if they wanted different things out of Chase. Or even if they didn't want to have Chase at all! if they were somewhat openly resentful of being stuck together and having a child, yet not separating, and just not talking about it, that could also fit for him. Not like that is an exhaustive list, but what we do know of the Hunters is just so lacking and limp. Overall I guess I just feel like Chases parents are one of the few kind of dropped parts of Echo. Or, at least, something that wasn't handled with the kind of detail I think they really could've. Just, an untapped goldmine for things to do or talk about.

Mmmm the urge to randomly info dump has hit me, so Imma talk about some stuff for my Lost and Found AU. We going over mostly Shadow's past here. Buckle up, this is gonna be kinda long.
A tldr for those who don't wanna read a long post like this (more info in the long thing under the cut of course but this is the main stuff):
- AU is set a couple years after where we are in cannon, most games happened minus adventure 2 and ShTH 05 -Life on the Ark for Shadow was bad, but he was able to visit the Black Comet a few times thanks to Black Doom. He grew to like the Black Arms way more than the humans on the Ark. Minus Maria of course. Also manages to connect to the hivemind on his first visit. -Maria visited Shadow as much as she could (which sadly wasn't as often as she wanted to) and she was the one to give him his gloves. -Black Doom learns about the Ark raid before it happens and encourages Shadow to work with G.U.N. (temporarily of course) -Shadow does work with G.U.N. during the raid by acting like he's following all their orders, once Gerald and the information on Project Shadow are secured the soldiers turn on Shadow and he turns right back on them (with much more success). -Maria finds him after and the two make a break for the escape pods. Maria manages to convince Shadow to give the world a chance even with how he's been treated on the Ark. -Shadow is sent to earth after Maria is killed, and his pod isn't found until Sonic finds it years later.
So! I have had many thoughts. First I'll briefly touch on the "timeline" for this au. Basically most of the games have happened in the order you'd expect. The main difference being adventure 2 and ShTH 05 never happened (though I have plans for ShTH 05...). I'd set us some time past where we are in cannon though so everyone's a little bit older, not by too much though. This is not the most... relevant thing in regards to what I'm gonna talk about for the rest of this but yeah.
Now then. Life for Shadow on the Ark. To put it mildly? It kinda sucked. Everyone, minus Maria, was on edge pretty much all the time around Shadow because he came out way more "alien" than anyone expected. Black Doom of course is pleased by this and offers to help "tame" Shadow. This is just to appease the humans though. He doesn't intend to make Shadow more docile towards them at all. With some masterful convincing Black Doom does manage to get Gerald to allow him to bring Shadow to the Black Comet a few times. Most notably not long after he was created.
This initial visit to the comet is what cements the Black Arms as a group to be trusted in Shadow's mind. After all they treat him so much better than most of the people back on the Ark. He actually manages to properly connect to the hivemind during this first visit as well, something he hadn't been able to do on the Ark. In fact him not being able to do that, but still feeling its absence, is part of why he was so violent upon being released for the first time. It was more out of confusion and panic than anger. Hard to act rationally when your brain is screaming at you that something is wrong but you don't quite know what it is.
Maria visits him as much as she can, though it's not nearly as often as she wants to. Gerald doesn't love the idea of her being near Shadow so she has to see him when she won't be missed for a little bit. Each visit is a bright spot in Shadow's life and are probably some of his clearest memories. Also fun fact, his gloves were a gift from her. She'd probably been reading something on mobian culture or something and saw how often they wore gloves so she decided Shadow needed some too. Despite them being rather simple he'd probably maul anyone who tried to take them from him.
The Ark raid is... interesting. Black Doom manages to catch wind of it before it happens but doesn't warn anyone, except Shadow. He actually encourages Shadow to work with the humans who come and after the dust settles Black Doom will come for him. He agrees to this so long as Maria will be safe. Something Black Doom promises. Whether he had any actual plans to keep Maria safe for Shadow well... debatable.
During the raid Shadow waits patiently for some of G.U.N. to reach him. Once they do he does his best to act subservient to them, through his actions since he doesn't really speak at this point, even if he hates the idea. Somehow, despite the information the soldiers have on Project Shadow, they trust him. They release him and he actively helps in the raid, keeping an eye out for Maria the whole time.
Eventually things go sort of quiet. Gerald has been captured and the information about Project Shadow seized. Shadow is concerned because he hasn't seen Maria yet, but for now he chalks that up to Black Doom keeping his promise. He doesn't have too much time to worry about that though when the soldiers he'd been working with turn on him in an attempt to capture him. It doesn't go to plan and Shadow turns on them. They come out of it much worse than Shadow but he's not doing amazing at this point, mostly mentally.
Maria manages to find him in the aftermath and starts urgently ushering him towards an escape pod. Turns out she'd been hiding since she noticed Shadow was gone. The two don't find any resistance on the way and Maria's able to talk a bit with Shadow as she prepares an escape pod. She talks about how she knows Shadow isn't a monster and that he can do so much good. He can give the people of earth a chance to be happy. He can be more than his creators thought he was. Shadow of course takes this to heart, even if his only real frame of reference is most humans are bad. This is Maria though, and he trusts her. Maybe he can give them a chance, for her. (Black Doom at this point hasn't shared any future plans with Shadow so he isn't aware that promising to try and help the people of earth is contradictory to the goals of the Black Arms that he trusts)
Of course this moment is interrupted by soldiers finding them. They attempt to order Shadow to stand down but of course at this point he's not listening. He's torn on what to do though. He could take care of them easily but Maria is there. She's vulnerable and he's not sure he wants her to see him like that. He isn't sure he wants to shatter the image she has of him, since he knows what he wants to do to those people would do that.
Shadow doesn't have to make a choice though, because Maria makes it for him. In a surprising show of strength she manages to get him into the pod and lock it. The soldiers raise their weapons in warning but she stays strong, hand hovering over the launch button. Shadow wants to say something, to yell, scream at her to stand down. Help would be coming. He couldn't though.
And well... from there Maria sends him to earth and he's not found until Sonic stumbles across his pod all those years later.
I have... so much more to say but this things is already pretty damn long so I will cut myself off here for now. Expect more ramblings soon though since I still have the urge to get all this info in my head down somewhere lol.
Props if you actually read all of that lol.

hey sorry if this is weird but this is @chip-and-the-bastards (it's a sideblog so I can't ask with it) and since we're up against each other for the jrwi au showdown I wanted to ask about Blood in the Deadwood‼️ it seems like a cool au but tumblr search function isn't showing me if you have anything for it on this blog! So here take this as an opportunity to ramble about it and also maybe give some propaganda!
anyway feel free to ignore if you don't wanna aha :]
Oh HELLL YEAHHHHHH!!!!!
well first of all @tobeywobey was also very involved in making it so make sure you also give them creds ! ! He worked on a LOT of the lore so i really wanna give them proper creds lol. Also the search didnt work because both toby and I haven't post much of anything publicly about it LMAO
BASICALLY its the prime defenders characters but in a kind of Galloway/Deadwood hybrid place if that makes sense. Each character fills the role of another character(s) in blood in the bayou (for example cantrip basically plays the role of Becky in this au.) its pretty cannon compliant to the events of blood in the bayou, except for a few changes, like things happening for different reasons and events being changed. Also there is no superpowers in this au :)
the thing Toby and I changed most was probably the events leading up to the main three going back to deadwood. In this AU Dakota is the one that knows Ashe the best, Will and Vynce are less acquainted with her. This is because she fills the role of Rachel so we wanted it to closer match the relationship that Kian and Rolan had with her when they were younger. so basically Dakota introduces Ashe to the other two a couple years before the events of this AU take place in deadwood, and they all eventually leave for w own reasons. Will dies like in PD canon, is resurrected as a bug sorta like how Rolan is, except he knows that he's a bug and keeps it secret. Ashe goes missing suddenly and Mark immediately starts investigating. The boys talk to mark about any leads or information, and it all leads to Deadwood. Also somewhere along there Williams "parents" die. Some more noatable things that happen in these few years is that vynce and cantrip have a relationship thats more like a situationship, and the three of them start a dnd campaign but never finish it.
They all go to Deadwood Because of Ashe's disappearance but vynce and will also have other reasons. Vynce really wants to finish this fuckin dnd campaign, and will felt the most obligated to go because he's part of the hive (and also his parents funeral was happening there anyways.) Will is also the one that is the most hesitant to go in the first place.
Then the BITB cannon stuff happens! They greet Doug (who plays the role of rat in this AU,) go to quickstop, see The Horrors, all that stuff. They obviously react in different ways and do different things than the BITB pcs, but it all still leads to them going to points of interest and having the big events happen to them the same. One notable change is that Will sees doug in the alley, pasteified, but is really curious about what actually happened to him instead of being horrified of the human sludge (Will is so fucking insane in this au.) Another is that will convinces Dakota that they need to leave (like how kian does) but while they are driving away will and dakota get into an argument wich leads to dakota grabbing the wheel from him and they end up swerving into the membrane wall.
Unfortunately thats where we stopped writing stuff down lmao so for the propaganda section of this ramble i will be taking from the character info toby wrote
-PROPAGANDA TIME-
Vyncent is a huge fantasy nerd and he has those hot topic elf ear cuffs. Half of his character motivation is wanting to finish that godamn dnd game!!!
William wisp is 10x more insane
wiwi carries a shotgun around locked and loaded from the very beginning
vynce gets some cool buggy limbs :)
Ashe is trans mtf and in the notes we referred to getting bugged as "contracting malaria" so we called her "our malaria girlfriend" and now in my head ashe will always be my favorite malaria girlfriend ❤️
Mark kind of plays the role of John Rand and he is also in love with that stupid caveman show
Mark and tide have a perry and doofenshmirtz dynamic. They both have radically different theories on what is happening to the town and argue constantly, but when they aren't being crazy people they get along
Tide fills the role of Mr. Dickman and he has a secret bunker chalk full of beef stroganoff. He also has a huge fucking blackboard where he writes all his theories (he just has "MALARIA" written down in all caps)
Tide has a little bit of a crazy old guy reputation in town
Cantrip gets fucking shot by William because of a one sided rivalry wiwi has had since middle school
LE FROG IS OFFICER DUDES‼️‼️
This concludes the ramblings, i wish everyone happy voting and good luck in the au torment!!! :D

Kwami rant
(Okay this is probably gonna be a long post just also be aware it's been a long time since I write something like an essay so apologies in advance)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I don't like how the kwamis are written/used in the show. (Most of this will be Plagg and tikki based as they are the ones we see the most)
What I mean is how they all seem to have very distinct personalities or at the very least a slight personality but that can all be thrown away for the sake of a plot device most notably tikki. Where as Plagg seems to be quite consent through the show or at least he's shown different sides while keeping the base line.
Tikki however I feel like they can not decided who they want her to be, they push that she's very sweet and somewhat wise just a very happy go lucky person with a serious side and in season one that was pretty much the case and even shown to be a little playful. And when Marinette was upset she would attempt to comfort her.
But as the seasons went on that suddenly changed, like in season two and three she lost all of that playful side to her and just became very serious for no reason then what felt like to add to marinettes stressful life. Also went from trying to comfort Marinette when she was upset to just adding more stress to the situation. The problem is that sometimes she gets some of the old personally back when they are not trying to show how stressful Marinettes life is. So it always feels off.
On another point that really frustrating is kwamis on emotions. I can understand not understanding humans to an extent because they are not human. That makes sense if it wasn't for the fact they are shown to have all the emotions (except love,I'll get to that) so when Marinette is crying in season 4 three kwamis were looking down at her confused about what crying is but it has been shown in show Plagg and Duusu crying. So I feel it's safe to assume that all/most of them can cry.
(before rant about how I don't believe that kwamis don't fall in love is true and slip in to theory territory I feel like I need to say everything I have to say is nothing against aro people at all.everything is about the show and the show alone, absolutely 0 hate to aromentics 💜💜)
while we are on emotions then, the thing that has seem to have created yet another riff in the fandom the now very well know quote of "kwmais don't fall in love". I saw quite a lot of people just going with they are aromantic which would be cool and Amazing,also would've of fully accepted that being pretty much cannon if it wasn't for the fact they left it so long to tell us. They knew a lot of people shipped kwamis (Plagg and tikki mostly), and they even hyped it up. They never once hinted that it wasn't something that couldn't happen for 5 years. So I feel its a little fair for people to be a little upset about it or just dismiss the point.
On to theory territory, I don't think it's that they don't fall in love more they aren't aloud to because to me that makes more sense that It's just yet another rule they have to follow which really wouldn't be surprising as it's been shown time and time again they don't have much freedom. I would also like to point how sad all three kwamis looked, while it could be because of the scene it didn't look like a sympathetic sad look to me, it just looked sad at that line alone.
Which leads me to how the kwamis are treated with in the show. just how controled they are is uncomfortable, and them being trapped could be a cool side plot but it's never really mentioned in a 'thats bad' kinda way which is makes it worse.
We are shown they are basically tiny gods and told they are cosmic beings, but they are never treated as such. They are shoved in a box and left in there for possibly for some of them for centuries. So it makes sense that when they got out of the miracle box they all got very excited to see the world.
we are also shown just how much control a holder has over a kwami forcing them to stay with you with magic borders, forcibly shut them up by removing there mouths, so who knows what else can happen. Also the spell that stops then form saying there holders name so again it's not much stretch that there are other spells on them prevent something,And while it's shown they can kinda refuse to transform someone (in the season three Finally with Chloe) it looks like when they don't know the activation words. But if you have the activation words then the kwamis have no choice.
Now on the Order of the Guardians, I don't think anyone is arguing that it sounds the worse thing from what we learn in season 4, which also adds to now little freedom the kwamis have and how poor they are treated.
The guardian was met that isn't Fu is Su han and he has a book full of rule for the kwmais and guardian, he also said that "they are cosmic beings they must be controlled" showing that they don't see them as beings with thought and feeling just things/weapons only being used when something has gone wrong. Also would like to note not a single kwami looked happy to see him there and they all didn't make a move to go to him or the miracle box until he ordered for it to happen.
But he was also very upset and afraid about Plagg not being there, more upset about that then Marinette having the miracle box. So the order makes little sense really, if you are afraid of something being cruel to it is the last thing you would/should do to it. Because if it snaps one day it will be at you.
Also the renlins seem like they was treated a little better when they was being looked after but when they was deemed "to dangerous" they was locked in a cave. Like I have questions about that was they trapped the a pocket dimension like the miracle box, was they just trapped. (What happened there?/ What happens when things are dormant with miraculous and kwami?)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I think that's most of it off my chest, now don't get me wrong I love the show and season so far is really good, but I had to get this out.
