Honestly I am kinda falling out sp/mano more and more. It still does appeal to me in a human AU. But since I don't read many human AUs in the first place that features sp/mano my shipping is still pretty limited(by choice, I am not blaming anyone). So yeah, sp/mano is kinda getting away from me without really meaning to.

The more I look at it the more I just can't stop seeing them as brothers or with a father-son relationship— this is due to chibi R/mano and also just how much R/mano is becoming my main comfort character the more personal stuff I go through. Comfort character leads to more research on the real country which leads to history based and non-history based headcanons(mostly non-history) and that leads to views and opinions. And going off of canon with how Sp/in raised him from a child to a young adult, well... I pretty much agree with non-shippers that it is weird if you view it in a human way. Don't get me wrong, sp/mano is a wonderful ship, I was REALLY big into it in my earlier years. But my views have changed. I appeal more to ge/mano and r/merica nowadays. Y'all go ahead and ignore me and keep on shipping sp/mano if you want though! I can't stop you nor will I ever!

I'm posting this because honestly? I have a lot of anxiety and guilt about admitting this for some reason. But I'm feeling better about just saying it out loud. Because tastes change. Personal views grow as the person grows. I see people encourage personal growth like this and then see some other people try to pressure change onto another person in order to make them ship(or think) the same thing, as if it were going to be the same as personal growth. Does that make sense? To me it does 😂 I'm just nervous I'll be attacked by the sp/mano community despite having more positive experiences than negative. But I still want to give voice to what I feel so maybe others won't feel so ashamed for not liking a ship, falling out of a ship, or just not being into shipping in general. I've honestly seen people bombard another person about WHY they don't ship this/that or why they no longer ship it or even why they don't LIKE shipping. And I always hated that. It annoys me. Shipping isn't everything in a fandom, the media and the experience is.

Ship wars/discourse is not allowed on this blog. Everyone is free to ship anything here.

You can even still send me sp/mano based questions if you so desire however! I'm a multishipper but the only things I DO NOT tolerate are p/d/philic ships(we protect minors here!!!); just keep that to yourselves if you have the strong need to. This is the anonymous world of the internet and so I don't have the power to stop that sorta thing(other than blocking). Otherwise, always feel free to gush about or vent out why you love/hate a ship to me and I won't judge ya! Its all about personal preference, not everyone shares the same interests or views as another might and I hope this mindset someday spreads to other fandoms in the future.
