#i know couple of people have similar ideas in relation to the movie “secretary” (2002) so i tried to keep it a bit different

He's an hour late today. Eyes bloodshot and wrinkled in fatigue, approaching your desk with a slight wobble. The headache radiates off him in waves.

This was your morning crossword, noting all the little details of your boss' hangover. Although it was rapidly becoming unamusing considering how repetitive it gets. Jesus Christ how more obvious can someone get about not wanting to be here.

You can smell the cigarettes on him once he's close enough. His eyes dart down to the papers on your desk (some letters for him, your copy of his schedule, and some stationary), before looking back up. If he was a bit more sober, you would have anticipated some cheeky comment created to solely make you fluster, but instead he just flashes you a lopsided smirk.

Frankly, there wasn't much of a reason for Patrick to have a secretary in the first place. Even after a month of working for him, you weren't really sure what he did (if anything) and everyone was well aware of the fact he only got the position because of his dad.

Not that you were going to actually complain about it, you were his secretary after all.
