Imagine if smc finds his mortal lovers reincarnation and they fall in love again!!! Even better if they still have their memories, hehehe
(I just love angst-to-comfort troupes as well as immortal × reincarnated lover over and over again)

Hello 🦇anon! Kid you not my brain was all over the place with this. I hope I was able to get my thought across, though! I may not be the best with fluff, but here's my attempt. ^^
Tumblr media
If Shadow Milk finds your reincarnation, he'd think it's too good to be true. All those agonizing years spent without you and you just happen to show up again?
He wouldn't know how to approach you again. What if you don't remember him? He'd easily scare you away since yk he's a beast after all. But that's not all. What he's most afraid of is having to let you go again because of your small life span.
For some time, he doesn't dare approach you directly. He'd much rather take on different forms to try and spy on you in an effort to at least keep an eye on you and make sure you're safe and happy.
What he doesn't know, though, is that you're all too aware of his presence. You remember him from your last life. How could you ever forget your beloved.
You find it a bit comical that he chooses to keep a distance from you in a form that isn't his original. Pushing down whatever downcast emotions you have, you decide to seek him out first. If he won't take the initiative to approach you, then you might as well should.
A few days pass, waiting for a perfect opportunity to catch him spying on you. In your past life, you have memorized many of his forms, so spotting him won't be so difficult. Unless he made up a new form that you had no idea of.
With a picnic basket in hand, you headed to a clearing near the spire where he should spend most of his time. Far enough from the spire to be safe but close enough to where he'd hopefully see you.
As you finished setting up your picnic spot, you set some of Shadow Milk's favorite snacks. The perfect trap for your beloved was set. Now, you just had to wait and see if he'd show up.
Like clockwork, you heard a bit of rustling of bushes behind you. Turning around immediately, you saw him alright. Just in this case, he took up the form of a maiden. Holding back your smile, you waved him over.
“Why don't you join me, miss. It seems we're both here for a picnic, so we might as well spend time together.” You said as you glanced at the basket in his hand.
You didn't fail to see the blush creeping up on his face. In fact, taking a good look at him now, this form of his was beautiful. You have only seen it in paintings in your last life, so seeing it in person made your heart skip a beat. If you didn't know any better, you'd just think he was a damsel in distress.
As for Shadow Milk himself, his heart was beating erratically. Surely, you inviting him over was just out of the kindness of your heart! And surely you having set down his favorite snacks for the picnic was a coincidence!
“I suppose I could join you. You seem like good company.” He smiled.
Still deciding it's too good to be true, he sets some distance between you two and sits a bit far from you. It took everything in you to hold in your laughter. Was he really that scared to be near you or something?
Having him not make any moves to initiate anything, you decided to take the reigns once more. He was right in front of you. How could you not? You craved his affection so badly.
Picking up one of his favorite desserts, you held out a spoonful to him. “Here. Why don't you have this first? You used to love this dessert every time I made it for you, my dear Shadow Milk.” You smiled.
Shadow Milk could feel himself freeze. Did he hear you, right? You…remember him? All this time, and you actually remember him?
He was overjoyed he wanted nothing more than to pick you up and spin you around.
Hey, wait.
“Hold on just a second. How do you even know it's me? I thought my disguise was pretty good!”
Within seconds, you two were back to acting the same as usual as if you two were never split apart. You laughed at his question.
Putting down the dessert, you went to cup his face with your hands. Wow, this disguise of his was way too pretty.
“Dear, I remember the paintings in the spire. I have seen most of your forms depicted in those paintings. What type of lover would I be if I didn't recognize you right away.”
With that statement he deadpanned.
…Rightttt. Why didn't he think of that? If you did remember him, then you could most definitely remember being in the spire and seeing those paintings.
He smiled before coming to another realization. “Wait wait wait wait. If you could remember me, why didn't you come find me sooner” he pouted.
“Well here's a question right back at you, mister! Why spend your time spying on me and not actually approach me!” You said as you flicked his forehead playfully.
He was about to bark back but stopped himself. He missed the playful bickering. He missed you.
Deciding not to answer your question, he instead went to lay his head down on your lap and grab your wrists, and place your hands in his hair.
You smiled and obliged to his silent request. You started playing with hair as he slowly eased into your touch. You missed moments like this as well. Spending time with him.
It wouldn't be long before you're ripped away from him again, but if you're able to retain your memories again in the next life, then that's fine. You know your beloved beast will be waiting for you in another life.
-
“Oh! and by the way, as beautiful as this form of yours is, how much longer are you going to stay like that” you poked his cheek
Shadow Milk froze and looked down at his dress.
“Oh yeah, I totally forgot about that part. Oh, wellll deal with it for a bit longer.” He stuck his tongue out at you.
My my how ladylike of him.

Could you maybe write a small snippet of SMC High School - Chaeyoung getting a little overwhelmed with school, hobbies/sports (if she does any), stress, after maybe failing a test or a bad break up. She keeps it bottled up until she has a small breakdown in the bathroom or class and then acts like nothing happens. So Dahyun and Tzuyu tell the unnies because it’s gone on long enough and they reserve some soft hours for the rest of the night.
Could even be a head canon that we talk about honestly! I just love soft SMC comforting each other with supportive unnies. The Dahyun anxiety fill got my mind rolling!
Sorry a little angsty but it just came into my head and now I can’t stop thinking about it lol 😂
Tzuyu watched a variety of emotions pass over Chaeyoung’s face as her test paper was handed back. She winced.
Her friend steeled herself, took a slow breath, and placed the paper face-down on the desk.
“Everything okay?” Tzuyu asked softly.
Chaeyoung only worried their bottom lip between her teeth, glaring at the paper. Trying to take full breaths. Tzuyu knew what that face meant.
“Hey – Chaeng, it’s okay. It probably isn’t bad, it’s-”
The bell rang, and she was gone in an instant. Tzuyu winced, watching them push through a few disgruntled students and out of sight.
Tzuyu packed up her things and followed everyone out, finding herself face to face with Dahyun, who looked concerned.
“Did she… um, is this about Jiwu?” was the first thing Dahyun mumbled.
“What?”
“They just stormed past me. Didn’t even say hi. Are they upset ‘cause theres a rumor Jiwu already moved on with, um, that soccer captain?”
Tzuyu sighed. As if Chaeyoung needed anything more on her plate today.
“No, I think she didn’t do so great on a test we just got back. She might not even know the Jiwu thing – I never liked that girl. I told you.” Tzuyu sighed. “Which way did she go?”
Dahyun simply pointed down the hall, and Tzuyu took off towards the bathrooms, her shorter friend in tow.
As soon as she pushed the door open, she could tell Chaeyoung had been crying. They were trying hard to keep the sputtering and heavy breathing down, but Tzuyu knew them too well.
“Chaeyoung. It’s just us.” She said to the stall door after checking to make sure there was no one else.
“Tzuyu.” She tried, but her voice broke. “Just – I need a few minutes, okay?”
“We’re here for you, Chaeng.” Dahyun whispered.
“I’m fine.”
“Chaeyoung.” Tzuyu said softly. “Talk to us.”
Tzuyu hear a sniffle.
“I’m just being dramatic.” Their voice was thick with emotion, still trying to hold in tears.
“You’re not just being dramatic. It’s a bad week.”
“Clearly I am because-” Chaeyoung trailed off as her voice succumbed to a small sob. “Because, obviously my ex-girlfriend wasn’t – didn’t consider our stupid relationship as important as I did, so I should just get over it. And I’m, I’m not going to pass half my fucking classes and I shouldn’t have expected anything different, math doesn’t work in my head, they’re just going to yell at me for failing again and I’m not fucking good enough for anything- But sure it’s a bad week, maybe next week will be less hell, I always want it to be but it never is, I just-”
“Hey, whoa. Please come out here.” Tzuyu’s heart hurt. She tried the stall door again but it was still latched. “Okay. I know it’s not just a bad week, I know it’s been building for a while.” She shot a concerned look at Dahyun, who mirrored it; she looked as distraught as Tzuyu felt.
“Chaeyoung, you’re good enough for plenty of things.” Dahyun tried, a little clumsily. When she paused, Tzuyu shot her a look urging her to continue. “You’re, you’re not… The Unnies are not going to be mad. We can all talk to them together.”
“Don’t do that.”
“I think they should know, Chaeyoung, clearly you’re struggling and they could help.” Tzuyu said.
“They’re going to think I’m just not trying hard enough in school.”
“They aren’t going to think that.”
“They think that now!”
“Have you ever told them otherwise?” Dahyun asked, softly. “Explained to them you’re trying as hard as you can?”
“They don’t care.”
“I promise you, they do. They love you. If they knew you were struggling…”
The door to the stall opened slowly, revealing a red-faced, teary-eyed Chaeyoung. She frowned.
“Just drop it. I’ll get over it.” She whispered. “I’ll be okay.”
Tzuyu pulled her into a hug and Dahyun joined. Chaeyoung let her tears fall for a few more minutes before taking a deep breath.
…
“You told them, didn’t you?” Chaeyoung huffed as soon as she’d walked in the door. She’d stayed later than the two others to serve out a forty minute detention sentence for forgetting her gym clothes again and having to sit out.
Tzuyu chewed on her lip, glancing nervously to Sana and Jeongyeon, who had clearly been waiting in the kitchen for her. It was kind of obvious. Sana frowned, looking a little hurt, and Jeongyeon’s brows knit in concern. Dahyun backed up a little, pressed against the counter the two of them were leaning against.
“Hey.” Sana whispered. “They were just worried about you.”
Chaeyoung glared at her for a second, before it melted. Of the Unnies, Sana was always impossible to be mad at; she was always so soft, and patient, and sincere. Tzuyu wondered if that’s why, upon hearing about Chaeyoung’s small breakdown in the bathroom today, Jeongyeon had called only one person for backup.
“I know. I just… I can handle it. I can handle myself, they don’t need to go taddling on me for being a little upset today.”
“We know you can handle things all by yourself, Chaeyoung.” Jeongyeon said softly. “But you don’t have to. We’re here for you, all of us. All of your Unnies.”
Chaeyoung was silent.
“Why don’t you two go upstairs and we’ll talk with Chaeyoung in private.” Jeongyeon glanced to Dahyun and Tzuyu.
“But-”
“Nobody’s in trouble.” Sana reassured. “But I think Chaeyoung deserves some space to talk it out in private, right? If she wants it.”
Chaeyoung gave a little nod, flashing Tzuyu an apologetic look.
Tzuyu sat alone in her room until there was a little knock at the door. Sana walked softly into the room, sitting on the foot of her bed. She gave her a sad smile.
“You did a good thing. Thank you, baby.” She said in a soft whisper. She kissed the top of her head. “It’s hard to know what goes on in your sister’s head sometimes. I’m really grateful you were able to give us a clue so we got to have that talk.”
“She feeling a little better?”
Sana nodded. “We talked about how we can help her with school, and Jeongyeon’s going to be reaching out to a couple teachers. As for the breakup… We’re all just going to have to be there for her. She’s taking it pretty hard.”
Tzuyu nodded.
“I think the best we can do right now is go grab some strawberry-oreo ice cream for her while she’s in the shower and put on a few movies tonight. A soft, cuddly night is in order. You think you can help me with that?”
Tzuyu smiled. Of course she could.
By the time their third movie wrapped up, it was two a.m., and Tzuyu felt like a zombie.
“The old ladies just can’t hang like they used to be able to.” Chaeyoung laughed, breaking the ambiance of the credits soundtrack. Tzuyu looked around and found all four of the house’s older inhabitants fast asleep (Jihyo and Mina had gone home before and during the third movie, respectively, because they claimed their thirty-something-year-old bones couldn’t take another night on the couch).
Tzuyu and Dahyun both chuckled. They all paused as Momo mumbled nonsense in her sleep.
“Hey guys?” Chaeyoung said, after a few minutes of silence.
“Yeah?”
“Thank you.”

Macbook Pro Software Update Not Working

System cleanup in one click

Which audio driver is used by MacBook Pro 7.1??? I'm running BootCamp (Windows7 Ultimate x64) and I'm having a problem with audio input, so I'm looking for anything taht will make it work. In Device Manager I had 'Cirrus CS4206A (AB13)' and three devices of 'NVIDIA High Definition Audio'.
Make your Mac fast and secure with CleanMyMac X.
The trackpad is a vital component for any desktop. It allows you to interact with the graphical user interface in ways keyboard shortcuts simply don’t allow.
With a trackpad not working Mac and PC devices may feel downright useless. As we’ve become accustomed to interacting with our computers using a trackpad or mouse, a Mac trackpad not clicking or responding to gestures is troubling.
But don’t worry, if your MacBook Pro or MacBook Air keyboard is not working, as you’ve arrived at the right place, get some of the best possible solutions here. Why Is MacBook Keyboard Not Working? Macs are usually smooth-running machines. However, software and hardware related issues can arrive during use. The documentation indicated that the update: 'Fixes a stability issue that could occur during heavy CPU load on 16in MacBook Pro (2019 and 2020) and 13in MacBook Pro (2020)'. Hopefully we won't. The 16-inch MacBook Pro brings a whole new class of performance to the notebook. Thanks to a more advanced thermal design, the Intel Core i9 processor with up to 8 cores and 16 threads of processing power sustains higher performance for longer periods of time — and delivers up to 2.1 times the performance of a quad-core MacBook Pro. Testing conducted by Apple in October 2020 using preproduction 13-inch MacBook Pro systems with Apple M1 chip, as well as production 1.7GHz quad-core Intel Core i7-based 13-inch MacBook Pro systems with Intel Iris Plus Graphics 645, all configured with 16GB RAM and 2TB SSD. Tested with prerelease Shapr3D 3.45.0 using a 288.2MB model.
We’ll discuss how MacBook trackpad problems can be solved, what to do when your trackpad fails, how to fix trackpad on MacBook, and the apps that keep any Mac running smooth so you can avoid issues with your trackpad in the future.
Why isn’t my trackpad working?
If a MacBook Pro trackpad not working is ruining your day, there could be a simple fix. First, let’s explore why your trackpad may be spontaneously unresponsive.
If the MacBook trackpad not working is an issue for you, the easiest fix is to plug in an external trackpad or mouse to your Mac.
The first thing to do is check if your version of macOS needs an update. To do so, click the Apple logo in the Mac’s menu bar, select ‘about this Mac,’ then ‘software update.’ If the Mac you’re using has new firmware available, download it.
The reasons for a MacBook trackpad not clicking are varied. It could be the macOS version it’s running, or an app that’s causing issues behind the scenes. It may even be that your system is overworked, and the trackpad is unable to keep up with your clicks and commands.
Finally, your settings may be to blame, especially if an app changed them without notifying you.
How to fix trackpad on your MacBook
There are six key ways to diagnose and fix an unresponsive trackpad on your Mac. Keep in mind an external mouse or trackpad plugged into a Mac is the simplest way to navigate these issues, as a plugged-in peripheral device has no connectivity issues.
Check system preferences
The aforementioned steps for updating Mac also apply, but you can do the same in system preferences. Here’s how:
Select the Apple logo at the top left corner of the Mac menu bar
Select “System Preferences”
Select “Software Update”
If prompted, download and update your version of macOS or OS X
Disable force click
The trackpad on your MacBook has two main interactivity types: force click, and tap to click. The difference between the two is how firmly you need to press your trackpad to get a response. Tapping allows you to simply tap the trackpad to select items, while force clicking demands you press firmly enough on your trackpad to hear (and feel) a click.
Macbook Pro Software Update Not Working Windows 8.1
If you’re tapping and not clicking, it may be the cause of your issues. Here’s how to toggle the setting:
Select the Apple logo at the top left corner of the Mac menu bar
Select “System Preferences”
Select “Trackpad”
Under the “Point & Click” heading, toggle the “Force Click and haptic feedback” off
In this heading, you can also tweak how forcefully you need to tap or click your trackpad to elicit a response. Simply select the “Click” slider, and change the setting to suit your needs.
Reset trackpad
A MacBook pro trackpad reset is not as daunting as it seems. All you’re really doing is toggling your MacBook’s trackpad back to the factory settings in System Preferences.
Most of us altered the settings of our trackpad to better suit our individual needs, and it may have caused issues in the background that causes a trackpad to become unresponsive. To toggle settings back to their original positions, follow the first three steps above to get into the “Trackpad” section in System Preferences.
Make sure “Tap to click” is unselected. In the “Scroll & Zoom” header, ensure “Scroll direction: Natural” is selected. These two setting should return your trackpad to its default state.
Reset NVRAM or PRAM
A lot of niggling issues can be solved with a simple NVRAM or PRAM reset. It’s a simple fix you can do any time, too. Here’s how:
Shut down the MacBook completely
Wait 30-60 seconds
Open MacBook and press the power button
Once the MacBook screen illuminates, immediately press and hold the option, command, P, and R keys
Hold the keys down for 20 seconds, or until you hear a startup sound
Release the keys and let your MacBook boot up normally
Reset the SMC
The SMC reset protocol depends on which MacBook you have. For those MacBooks introduced in 2017 or earlier, follow these steps:
Power down MacBook completely
With the MacBook off, press and hold the shift, control, and option keys
While holding those keys, press and hold the power button
Hold all four keys for ten seconds, then release
Press the power button to boot the MacBook
For MacBooks 2018 or later (with a T2 security chip) follow these steps:
Shut down your MacBook, and make sure it’s unplugged from any power supply
Wait 15 seconds, and plug the MacBook in
Wait five seconds, then power MacBook on by pressing the power button
Run Apple diagnostics
Your MacBook can run a simple diagnostics check from startup. Here’s how it’s done:
Disconnect the MacBook from all external devices except a power supply (if necessary)
Shut down your Mac completely
Power the Mac back on while holding down the D key
When you see a screen asking your language preference, release the D key and select your preferred language
Allow the diagnostics to complete its check
All of these diagnostic and repair steps may be avoidable, too. If you have CleanMyMac X on your MacBook, a routine checkup performed on a schedule of your choosing can help keep any Mac running in peak condition and your settings appropriately stable.
CleanMyMac X’s Smart Scan feature quickly checks the Mac for unnecessary files, privacy issues, and ensures its optimized for speed. There are also unique modules for speed optimization and privacy checks, which perform a deeper scan of a MacBook. CleanMyMac X is also the best way to update and remove apps from your MacBook, helping you feel confident the apps you love aren’t surreptitiously disabling your trackpad.
Bonus tips for your Mac
Repairing and maintaining a Mac is always important, but so is diagnosing it. iStat Menus helps you know exactly what’s going on with your Mac in real time, and lives in the background to keep you focused.
iStat Menus only appears in the Mac’s menu bar, with rich icons that provide a glimpse into your Mac’s performance. If you’re curious about what a Mac is doing, simply click the iStat Menus icon to bring up a full menu of the Mac’s CPU, memory, disk, network, and sensors.
Hovering over any of those categories brings up a sub menu with even more detail – and hovering over sections in the sub menu will surface a chart detailing Mac’s performance statistics in real time. There’s simply no better way to know what a Mac is doing behind the scenes than iStat Menus.
After you’ve diagnosed your MacBook with iStat Menus and maintained it with CleanMyMac X, your next step is backing your system up. That’s where Get Backup Pro comes into play!
Get Backup Pro allows you full control over what you backup, and when. You have the ability to run routine, scheduled backups of particular folders, or your entire system. It’s great for those who want to keep daily backups of their documents or photos, but only want to backup an entire system on occasion.
Get Backup Pro even provides the ability to create bootable backups of your entire system; it’s the perfect app for creating clean, thin, bootable backups in the event you need to restart from scratch.
A wonky trackpad is never fun to deal with, but it can be avoided. Often, trackpad woes are little more than an overtaxed system that can’t respond in time to your trackpad clicks and gestures. iStat Menus helps you understand if that’s the case.
CleanMyMac X allows you to keep Mac running smooth better than anything else, even Apple’s own built-in tools. And when you’re confident your Mac is in peak condition, creating a backup is always a smart idea.
