#i keep getting all sorts of wi-fi error messages. it's been like a year. i am TIRED#usually it's 'dhcp server isn't repsonding' or 'can't connect to dhcp server'#but sometimes it's 'the driver for your realtek <numbers and letters> isn't responding'#or 'your wi-fi is turned off' (no it isn't)#or some other random bullshit and it is driving me INSANE.#the connection is always dropping in and out and it's worse in some rooms than others but it seems to have#zero correlation with where my router actually is. it seems utterly arbitrary.#and it happens when I'm back at home too so it's almost definitely a me problem.#reddit says that that the WLAN adapter that comes with my type of computer (?) is just notoriously trash#so i'm trying to follow that lead before giving in and going to my bestbuy bestie about it.#he's so nice though. i was having phone issues over the summer and i posted about it when it happened but tldr#my phone model is old and needed a new battery that they didn't have anymore#so this one employee went and actually drove to the next bestbuy over to buy it from them to put in my phone#and it was a whole thing but he got it sorted out. god bless the people at (redacted town) best buy.#i feel like most of them would have gone 'idk. we don't have it. sorry' but my bestie david at bestbuy had my back 👏#i don't actually remember his name but I think it started with a D lol

Linux Life Episode 61
Hello ladies and gentlemen and welcome to my on going quest in the world of Linux.
Well a lot has happened since my last episode. The W3550 Xeon decide to fail on me as The PSU decided to give up the ghost with no warning or real errors. All I know is it refused to start a few times. Now I had been having problems with the AMD R9 270X graphics card so I swapped it out with a Nvidia 630 GT.
The 630GT was from the i7 desktop which I swapped out with the Nvidia 1050 which is still in there currently and working well. However when I switched it into the Xeon it worked upon initial installation then the Xeon started to fail upon start up but lights would come on. After two further attempted start ups it the refused to do anything whatsoever.
So unfortunately I don’t have a replacement power supply to hand as the Xeon requires a 750w PSU to work efficiently. The only one I have to had is a 450w one on hand which would not allow the Xeon to start. So the Xeon at the moment is on the shelf until I can source a new one at a reasonable price.
So I got another machine up and running. The Machine is an Intel G540 Celeron board I had lying about in an Acer case. It’s not an Acer system I just reused the case to install the G540 which is sitting on a Gigabyte H61M-S2PV motherboard.
I also installed the Nvidia 630GT as I had it to hand from the Xeon. I also used the 240GB V Series SSD from the Xeon as it was available. So once again I have a working system. Now the Intel G540 Celeron for those who don’t keep chip specs to hand is a Sandy Bridge dual core dual threaded machine so it is never going to be a speed demon however it is running at 2.50 GHz which is not bad.
I have also installed 8Gb of DDR3 RAM from the Xeon so although it’s ECC ram the machine doesn’t worry about that and is running perfectly fine.
So I naturally went to install Namib Linux and it installed fine initially but after its first update broke and pamac would not update any more. I managed to get pamac back after a bit of playing with terminal commands but it still wouldn’t synchronize the databases. More finagling later involving pulling down the required files from the AUR to my phone then transferring them using a program called Sweech via Wi-Fi. I got Pamac back to the tray
Restarted but still no synchronising databases. Updated keyrings and mirrorlists but still no avail. In the end I gave up as no matter what I did it would not update. Not happy.
The crazy thing is the i7 desktop is still running Namib Linux and I did exactly what I did regarding the Xeon and it works absolutely fine so I am confused. There must be a step on the i7 I did which I have completely forgotten, who knows one day I may remember. So Namib is out of the loop also at the moment.
So I decided since this is not a regularly used machine more of a test bed I remember quite a few episodes I liked the look of Solus 4 at the time. Well it just happened a few days before I typed this article Solus announced the update to Solus 4.1, new and improved and several bug fixes. So I downloaded the ISO on the i7 transferred it to USB using Etcher and installed it on the newly restored G540.
It installed fine and I even managed to install the Nvidia drivers without a problem and it worked fine. I used their software Centre which is based on the Ubuntu one to install my usual software however I came unstuck with the dock I use.
Now I use Cairo Dock. I use it because you can move its offset to move it up and down off the edge of the desktop so you can clear the main dock. Which you can’t do with Docky or Plank.
It’s not in their store. I look on Solus’ website. Many have requested it but they have not got it working. So i couldn’t use it. I tried Plank for about half a day before remembering why it annoyed me.
Another program I use is I-Nex to check the video driver it’s similar to CPU-Z which is used on Windows and Mac. Guess what its not in the store database either but CPU-X was.
However as good as Solus is their store is missing so many things and because they use their own package manager extension of eopkg there is no converter like Debtap which Arch uses to convert Debian files to allow them to install. So it makes life very awkward if you want specific software.
I’m sure someone is going to tell me of such a convertor and what it is called and I am going to feel kind of stupid, but I could not find it or any clue to such.
So I decide against Solus. In time I may go back should they update such but for now like every time I have tried Solus ,it is still in development and needs to catch up.
Maybe in about 2 years I may try again. So now I am current running Ubuntu Studio 19.10 it works OK. I have had to add a few PPAs to get certain programs but it has been reasonably easy to get most running.
However one thing that does annoy me is having to search the appropriate apt-get package name for certain things because it isn’t always what you think it would be.
Once again I was trying to install I-Nex. I added the PPA and sudo apt update, sudo apt-get install I-Nex. It failed could not get libcpuid version 14 or higher. So I found the deb file installed it and I-Nex still wouldn’t install.
Luckily CPU-X would install so I removed the I-Nex PPA aned installed the CPU-X one and it worked first time. Such an annoyance that even if you install the info even from the alleged website of an app. It isn’t always true.
That is one thing I will say about Arch if it changes someone updates the wiki immediately and tells you the new name or how to sort it. Not the case it seems with Ubuntu.
However after all that Ubuntu Studio is still on the G540. I have managed to get Steam, working, however because the 630GT doesn’t have Shaders 4.0 as it’s the Fermi model of the card not the Pascal which was produced later, I know I can’t use Lutris and Vulkan as it will not work sufficiently.
However it will play games just not high end ones which I can live with. So that brings us up-to date. How long it will remain with Ubuntu Studio 19.10 I don’t know. However I have got all the programs I want at the moment and it does work if albeit slower than the Xeon.
Have you any Linux distributions you would like me to examine... Zorin OS, MX Linux, Fedora Silverblue, Mint 19.3, Netrunner, the list goes on. If so give me a message at [email protected] with your suggestions.
OK well I think that’s enough for this episode...so until next time, take care.

Mind Candy (5)
Chapter: 5/?
Ship: Marliza
Summary: Of all the things Maria wasn’t doing, bribing her misbehaving child with candy just to talk to her incredibly attractive teacher was very high on that list. Definitely.
Word Count: 2428
Warnings: Mild language
_____________
The rest of the week stayed very much the same, much like, Maria dared to think, a schedule. She would drop Susie off at school, go to work, text Eliza during her lunch break, pick Susie up from her PSPM at the end of the day, eat dinner, bathe Susie, and then talk to Eliza over the phone for hours on end. Maria loved how easy it was to have conversations that lasted long, and was deeply saddened whenever they ended each night, but there was always the promise to speak again, the “I’ll talk to you tomorrow,” that Maria loved to hear. She was finally getting comfortable with talking with Eliza over the phone. She was so easy to talk with, so kind and sweet and good that Maria felt that she could be around her so easily.
As she pulled into work on Friday, she couldn’t help but feel that something would have to go wrong, even if everything seemed so perfect right now. Excluding the lateness earlier in the week, everything had been flawless, and she was beginning to worry that things would soon come crashing down. She was only human, not some immortal who was above fault. She stepped out of her car and pulled her laptop bag out of the vehicle after her. Walk up to the building of her work, she couldn’t suppress the feeling that something would be off today. It curled in her stomach tentatively, making her wonder if it was a premonition or a simple bout of anxious energy.
She pulled her thoughts down from the clouds as she also pulled open the door to her small office, stepping inside and sliding into the chair behind her desk. For working at an advertising company, her office was fairly dull, painted a deep grey with green hues. Her plush chair was a black faux leather that was decidedly worn, for Maria spent most of her days sat in there organizing calls with clients or formulating emails.
She opened her email, entering her password with ease before clicking the button that read “Log In?” Her computer stalled momentarily before displaying an error screen. Maria cursed under her breath before refreshing the page. Her attempt to revive the computer was met with no avail. Looking at the corner of her screen, the company’s Wi-Fi was still working, meaning that there was a problem with the email server itself. She pulled out her phone, opening the email app, but was met with the same error message, displayed only in a slightly smaller format. She leaned back in her chair, rubbing her temple.
She had scarcely a second of quiet before her office door burst open and a quickly moving short mass off brown hair and messy suit rushed into her office.
“Hamilton, what the hell?” Maria looked dead at the man, who was breathing heavily and running his hands through his shoulder-length hair. He leaned against her doorframe, still offering no explanation.
“Hamilton, you heard me. What are you doing here?” Maria repeated the question, more irritated this time. Hamilton looked at her, his dark eye bags outlining his bottom lashes like some sort of reverse eyeshadow. Maria smirked at the thought when Hamilton finally spoke
“Washington just called an emergency meeting. He sent out an email about it too, but no one’s responded. He sent me to round everyone up.” Hamilton raced through his sentences, Maria’s brain running a marathon trying to catch up with his words.
“Well, the email server is down, that’s one half of the problem.” Maria spoke. Hamilton’s face fell, but he continued relaying his instructions.
“Head up to the conference room on floor three. You have ten minutes.” And then, just as quickly as he appeared, Hamilton had raced back out of the door, his heels clicking on the wooden floor in the hallway. Maria stood, stretching and repacked her laptop bag. Exiting the room, she hit the lights, watching as the room fell dark except for a small lamp that stood in the corner of her office. She could turn that off later, Maria reasoned, before shutting the door.
She hurried up the hallway, stopping outside the elevator and relentlessly hitting the button to cue an elevator into returning to her floor. Hamilton was nowhere to be seen, but Maria reasoned that he was still frantically running around the building doing Washington’s bidding. The elevator dinged and she stepped inside, quickly pressing the button labelled “three.” She waited, tapping her heel impatiently in the metal elevator. The doors began sliding to a close before a tall man wedged himself in between the frame and the door. The automatic doors slid back open and the man stepped inside, his colorful presence filling the entire room.
“God damn it.” he quietly spoke, examining a loose thread in his magenta dress shirt, his voice dripping with southern charm. He looked up, noticing that he was not unaccompanied in the elevator and cleared his throat loudly.
“My apologies, ma’am.” Maria had known it from the second he had entered, but the loud voice clearly denounced itself as that of Thomas Jefferson, famous within the company for his questionable but impressive taste, and even more questionable but impressive debate tactics. Maria had never witnessed them head to head, but she had heard that he made a formidable debate partner for Hamilton to argue with.
“It’s fine.” she absentmindedly replied. The elevator dinged, announcing that it had reached the third floor, and Jefferson exited. Maria followed after him, entering the conference room moments after him. She slid into an empty chair, looking around. To her surprise, Hamilton was sat to the right of Washington, already scribbling down notes. How he had beaten her to the room was a mystery, and Maria felt herself blush after realizing she was one of the last ones to arrive. Washington re-entered the room and stood at the front, clearing his throat.
“Alright everyone,” he began, “I’m so sorry that this was such short notice, apparently, the email server is down and I didn’t realize it.” he shifted, obviously uncomfortable with what he was about to say.
“I have called this meeting to inform you of some changes that will be made in upcoming weeks or months.” he continued. Everyone shifted in the chairs, the air of unease slipping into the minds of all in the room. “As you all probably know, I have been working at this company for eight years, and before that, spent over twenty years in this industry. It has come to my attention recently that I have been the head of this company for 8 years.”
Maria looked around, impressed. She had seldom been working here for three years, and Washington’s experience was monumental compared to her own.
“I have also quite recently realized that 8 years is a long time, and because of this. I will be resigning from my position as executive director.” Washington finished his speech as Hamilton audibly gasped beside him. His pen stopped it’s constant rhythm against the paper as he sprung out of his chair, confronting Washington face to chest.
“What?! Who will replace you?” he exclaimed. Washington put a hand on his shoulder and gently pushed Hamilton back into his chair.
“Sit down Hamilton. I was getting to that point.” Washington continued, “I have spoken to some of you about who should follow after me. Right now, I have yet to pick a definite person, but those who have expressed the most interest in the position are John Adams and Thomas Jefferson.” he finished his speech as the two men stood. John Adams was a short and chubby man, a brilliant mind behind a whiny exterior. Maria had once had the privilege to work with him, and wished to never have to do so again. Both of the options seemed unfavorable, and Maria felt that there had to be a better option.
Hamilton was incredulous, standing up out of his chair again, and furiously exclaiming,
“Mr. Washington! I can’t believe you would resign, leaving two if the most unqualified, disgraceful men-”
“Excuse me, Mr. Washington, but I believe the real disgrace here is Hamilton.” Jefferson shot up, angrily defending himself. The room tensed, all knowing what would happen in the near future is no one intervened. Adams sat back in his chair, glaring at Hamilton and muttering something incomprehensible under his breath.
“I’m a disgrace? Well, at least I’m a disgrace that gets work done!” Hamilton retorted, aggressively balling his hands by his side. Maria looked up from her paper and locked eyes with James Madison, someone who worked alongside Jefferson frequently. He shook his head disapprovingly and sighed, resigned. Maria nodded and sighed as well, turning her focus back to the ongoing argument.
“Work? You can hardly keep a client.” Jefferson leaned against the table. The room was deadly quiet, and Maria could hear Hamilton’s heavy breathing as his gaze hardened, furious with the other man. Maria found herself nervously clicking her pen, but slowly came to a halt when she noticed that it was the only source of noise in the room.
“At least I don’t get caught having an affair with a barely legal client, you whore” Hamilton thought he had ended the argument, falling back from his fighting stance, if only for just a moment. Jefferson’s hands tightened on the table, his knuckles turning white before he uttered his final blow.
“Hamilton, I’m the whore? I’m sure your mother would love to pop in.” Jefferson spat out the last words as Hamilton visibly flushed before snapping entirely. Maria watched as he appeared to move in slow motion, running to Jefferson’s side of the table, his hands curling into fists as he jumped and connected his fist with the side of Jefferson’s face. Jefferson fell back, catching himself before he fell completely.
“Don’t talk about my mother.” Hamilton hissed at the taller man, infuriated and clutching his fist. Maria’s eyes widened as what had just happened truly set in.
“Gentlemen!” Washington roared, rushing to put himself between the two aggressive men. Jefferson was clutching the side of his face, glaring at the smaller man.
“Both of you, out of this room now. I don’t want to see either of you until you have both calmed down.” he commanded. Hamilton turned on his heel and was out the door in seconds while Jefferson took his time, clutching his head in overdone agony. Washington shut the door behind them, turning back to face the room of employees. He cleared his throat and resumed,
“To those of you wondering, that altercation was not one of the first of their kind, and will most likely have no impact on my decision of who will follow me.” Washington positioned himself at the front of the room and continued the meeting as if nothing had happened.
The rest of Maria’s time in the room went by painstakingly slowly as she spent more time doodling on her yellow legal pad as opposed to taking notes. Thankfully, she was not asked to join in on any conversation, or else she would have been talking about the conspicuous amount of hearts that she had drawn around a large cursive E in the corner of her page. She tuned back in just as Washington finished his long discussion and made it to seem that the meeting was over. A light blush graced Maria’s cheeks as she realized that she had just spent the better part of her time drawing small hearts like an obsessed grade schooler.
“Sir,” James Madison began, sopping at his brow with a handkerchief and asking for Washington’s approval to continue. He was a sickly man, seemingly small despite his formidable size. He would be intimidating if he wasn’t so timid.
“Yes?” he asked, scratching his bald head. Maria was curious with what Madison had to say, as he did not speak often. He held up his phone, revealing it to be the email app, still displaying an error page.
“Our work is based mainly around services provided by this email company. How are we to work if we can’t talk to our customers?” Maria felt her eyes widen. How would she work? She wasn’t one of the few who took phone calls and face-to-face meetings.
“Well,” Washington began, “actually, I don’t know how. Thank you for bringing that up Madison.” he paused again, his brow crunching in thought. “How about everyone take an extra long lunch break, my resignation gift to everyone, while I call the company and try to work out what’s happening.” Washington smiled wearily and leaned against the table. Maria felt oddly relieved, for Washington was leaving, but his kindness was still here even if he wasn’t.
“Meeting dismissed. See everyone in two hours with a hopefully properly functioning email server.” he concluded, opening the door. Maria slid her legal pad back into her laptop bag, slinging it over her shoulder as she got up, pushed her chair in, and then hurried out of the door. She stopped at the elevator, studying it for a minute before deciding to take the stairs, letting her heels clack against the hard stairs.
She reached her office, opening the door and walking over to turn out the lamp, bathing the room in darkness. She pulled out her phone, checking the time. The white numbers read 11:09, and Maria clicked off her phone, leaving her office once again. She left the building entirely, unlocking and climbing inside her car. She sat there for a few minutes, engrossed in thought as she wondered what to do next.
What could she do with her two hours? Normally, she would have become so engrossed in her work that she would have been barely able to pop out and get a salad for lunch, but now, with such a large amount of time, she had no idea how to spend it. Her mind wandered back to Susie. What time did she eat lunch? Around 11:20, wasn’t it? She had heard of parents coming in and eating with their children, but could she do so on such short notice?
Maria decided she would anyway, choosing to go pick up Susie a lunch from a restaurant, and sent a text to detail what would happen.
To: Eliza
“Unexpectedly popping in for lunch. Tell Susie to not get in the lunch line today.”
Smiling to herself, Maria turned the key in her car and watched as it whirred to life. This would be interesting.

Selpic S1: Print Anything, Anywhere
Our verdict of the Selpic S1 Portable Printer: A handy printer that can really work on almost any surface and at any angle. It's a little pricey, but if you're quick, you can get the upgraded S1+ model with larger print head for $150 on the new Kickstarter. 810
Selpic S1 is a portable quick-drying printer that can print on pretty much surface, even if it’s not flat. It’s great for craft projects, small businesses, or just labeling all the things.
The Selpic S1 is available to preorder now for $250 and shipping soon, but Selpic are also Kickstarting the larger S1+ model with shipping due by the end of the year, with early bird pricing from $149 (if you’re quick).
youtube
Design and Specs
The Selpic S1 measures 1.5 x 4.3 x 4.7 inches (4 x 11 x 12cm), and weighs a minuscule 13.6 ounces (386g), making it just about pocket-sized.
The S1 model squirts out ink from a half-inch print head, while the S1+ can print twice as high.
Inside the box you’ll find the Selpic S1 main body, a magnetic cover that attaches to the base to protect the print head, a starter ink cartridge, and a micro-USB charging cable. The internal battery should give you around 6 hours of printing, with 72 hours standby time.
To print whatever is currently loaded, you just press the P button on the side. The LED on top turns green to indicate it’s ready. Then swipe the printer across your surface. An optical sensor ensures the print comes out correctly, and can operate at up to 30mm/s, which is much faster than you can reasonably run it along a surface.
Like all printers, the real sting is in the price of the cartridges, at $80 each. Six colors are available, but you can only print in a single color at a time. Selpic claims the 40ml cartridges can print up to 900 A4 pages at 5% coverage, though this is a curious measurement since it can only print a half-inch line. Still, if you’re looking to compare like for like, 900 pages is the number you’ll want. As a small manufacturer, no official recycling program is available, though your local recycling center may accept them as generic inkjet cartridges.
Selpic App
Creating and uploading your prints is done using the Selpic app. You’ll need to connect over Wi-Fi to the ad-hoc network broadcast by the Selpic device (and initially use the password 12345678). This is annoying to do every time you turn it on, and we can’t help but feel Bluetooth would have been a better solution. That said, once connected it worked reliably, albeit somewhat slow to upload.
The ability to enter multilingual text is unique.
The app allows you to design a print using a number of key components:
Multilingual text. As long as you have the right input method and fonts on your phone, you can print any language you like.
Time and date stamp.
Weight display, designed to be used with industry-standard USB and Bluetooth scales, which act as input devices.
Auto-incrementing numerical counter, which adds one each time the label is printed (or any other increment you want).
Code128 numeric barcode.
QR code.
Custom image.
All design elements can be mirrored, for printing on the reverse of a clear object, or color inverted. Any number of the same element can be added, resized, or rotated.
Note: at the time of review, the iOS app was unable to upload custom images. We’ve been promised this should be fixed by next week with a new firmware update.
It’s clear from that feature list that the software has been designed with small businesses in mind, despite the Kickstarter being marketed with a more crafty angle.
The app is relatively easy to use but suffers a little on a small mobile screen, especially because it’s locked to landscape view. In order to accommodate all the design tools needed, a small toggle switch sits at the bottom of the screen. This toggle changes between component-specific settings, like font and font size, to the generic component controls like rotate and delete. And of course, tapping on a text entry form brings up the keyboard, which then obscures more than half of the total screen real estate. Hopefully, the app will improve in time. Switching to a vertical view to make use of a smaller keyboard would be a great start, even if it meant having to scale down the print preview.
Having said all that, it’s still infinitely more functional than your basic label printers.
The only thing you might expect it to be good for, but actually isn’t, is printing addresses. There’s no import or mail merge functionality, and even if there were, the print head is too small to print a full address at once.
While we have yet to hit a maximum printing width, we should note that longer labels take a long time to upload from the app as the file is rasterized. If you try to write a really long label, it can feel like the app has crashed.
What Can The Selpic S1 Print On?
We tried on a variety of surfaces, with overall great success.
Obviously, flat card and paper was easy. No issues there, and the QR code was successfully read by my phone.
On skin, we couldn’t get anything useable, just a large smudge.
On a wine glass, we managed a perfect print, despite the curved surface and optical difficulty. The quick-drying ink didn’t wash off under running water, and needed to be scrubbed off.
A bigger print on a mostly clear plastic box didn’t go as well but was still acceptable. Keeping the printer straight at this sort of angle was difficult, and some sort of optical sensor error left one of the letters skipping.
Printing inverted text on the inside of our polytunnel door was also mired by a small smudge, but still legible.
On rough but otherwise flat wood, the print was perfect. I can see gardeners making great use of this for plant labels.
One often forgets what one has planted in raised beds.
Overall, I’m really impressed with the “print anywhere” claim. Most of the printing hiccups we did experience would likely be perfected with repeated use. There’s a knack to printing well that you’ll learn.
Should You Buy the Selpic S1 (or Back the S1+)?
The Selpic S1 is the sort of gadget that you’re bound to find a use for around the home, but at around $250 for a starter pack plus $80 for additional cartridges, I expect you’ll want to know beforehand precisely what your use cases will be to justify the cost. If you find yourself writing the same message repeatedly on something that otherwise can’t be fed into a traditional printer, then this may be the perfect gadget for you.
If you’re a home user that just wants to put text labels on all the things–storage boxes, personal possessions and such–you might want to stick with traditional tape-based label printers (or a pen!). Changing the text often and uploading it to the Selpic each time gets tedious after a while. For English text anyway, the ease of typing on a physical keyboard and hitting the print button is faster. The results aren’t nearly as impressive, but those sorts of labels tend to be functional rather than attractive. The real power of the Selpic is repetitive printing and otherwise awkward surfaces.
There are also obvious benefits for small businesses and craft sellers, that need to print serial numbers, tickets, or barcodes onto packaging. It’s a handy little device.
We’d recommend backing the Kickstarter now to get early bird pricing on the S1+ model with one quick-drying cartridge for just $149 (but be quick, there’s a limited number available at that price!). As with all Kickstarters, there’s always a risk involved, but in this case we think it’s minimal. The technology works, it’s just question of whether Selpic can meet their shipping targets.
Thanks to Selpic, we have an S1 model to giveaway to one lucky reader. Just enter your details in the widget below to be in with a chance of winning. Good luck!

Jio Prime Renewal Option Not Visible In MyJio App? Try This There is a good news for prime membership of Reliance JIO. Now they can renew their membership for another year for completely free of cost. As it is perceived to be, it is for limited time offer and within that period if users have not enabled this option then probably they have to pay 99 rupees for it.
This means that it is high time users should renew it and if they have not found this message when they could do it by reading the article below. First, connect to the internet and then open My JIO app and then over it users should find that the message is about to renew JIO Prime Membership for absolutely free of cost for existing members.
How to extend Reliance JIO Prime Membership for another one year for free?
This means this is a great news for the users and they do not have to pay additional 99 rupees for it in order to renew the prime memberships. Just touch the mentioned link out there and reach the destination and then click accordingly.
If for any sort of reason you have not found the link mentioned above my JIO app then there are some workaround for it where you can do it easily. First just uninstall the app and then reinstall it again and then authorize it and if you found the message at the top of the JIO app then you can do it.
if this method is not working then do not worry about it at all, just play some videos with JIO Cinema and stream some of it or stream some videos with YouTube or YouTube Go and stream at least for 15 minutes or so and then return back to My JIO app to see whether that message for renewal of JIO Prime Membership is visible or not and if it is visible then touch the link and then move accordingly.
If after trying both of these methods still you have not been able to see JIO Prime message inside JIO Prime Membership app then it is better to download Jio4GVoice app from Google Play Store and then register that app with JIO connectivity. Then, open My JIO app to see whether that free of cost prime membership is now visible or not and I think in this method it should be visible but if that not so then you could try the last method.
First, go to settings and then in the location settings enable High accuracy mode. Then download Jio4GVoice app and then register it while detecting JIO SIM and that will mostly be detected by JIO servers about this and that will again make yours JIO SIM work and that prime message probably will be seen again.
If all of these workarounds do not work then the final workaround is to open My JIO app and then go to its settings and the app settings where you can customize your My JIO experiences, then activate Hello JIO as this setting will enable Hello JIO virtual assistant and it is similar to Google Assistant. This will be seen as a thumbnail and by touching it will work nicely.
After checking all of these efforts am sure you will be getting this message of JIO Prime free renewal but if you still not finding this then for sure you have not enabled prime membership in the previous year or if that is not then am sure restart of the phone will work nicely.
