yall remember that post thats like "2012 avengers fandom wanted so badly for the team to be friends and theyre barely even coworkers." that <- flaw right there is exactly what i think makes xmen media so good. even when its bad. cause at least they all live in a big house together and hang out and have interesting interpersonal dynamics and shit. like we always wanted <3

#xmen #i just watched xmen 97 and im on a kick #everyones relationship to each other is so unique and complicated!#uve got the big stuff like charles and eriks relationship and the whole logan/jean/scott dynamic #but also gambit and rogues whole thing! rogue being sorta siblings with kurt! storm and jean consider eachother sisters!#logan is sort of a parental figure to jubilee! scott has a deep respect for xavier as a teacher and father figure!#the story really shines when these dynamics are pulled into focus #and its true of some of the better marvel movies too! look at winter soldier!#i hope this doesnt read like “babys first realization that character-driven stories are good” but man #xmen 97 is the first time i legitimately enjoyed a thing marvel has made in like. years #and i watched it pretty soon after i watched deadpool 3 which i didnt care for so. the bar was low but man they cleared it.
