i havnt even finished the show yet ((v v late to the party rdneksjd)) but something abt the way sakura is written when it comes to sasuke irks me beyond just not liking the ship?? like shes young obviously so theres room(?) for growth but like it comes off as possessive and obsessive and sasuke is c l e a r ly uninterested and theres something about it that reminds me of the way i think alot of male characters are written towards girls?? like the always watchingwaiting for the girl to ~discover~ him and Finally™️ fall for him too but like to the audience its clear she is conpletly uninterested and its just not going to happen?? im irked bc i feel for sasuke being the object of unwanted affection and attention (all he can focus on rn is Trauma literly he does not have time for romance) but its interesting to know the spoilers for boruto and they evnetually end up together its just,,,,,ehh eh h idk. im irked bc its the signalling of one char to another unwanted attention but then were supposed to praise sakura for her Dedication and finally~~ getting what she wanted all along..? it irks me to think of ppl(girls) watchin this and like,,it getting into their head that as long as they Stay Dedicated and bombard the object of the affection w endless luv then eventually!!!! he'll come around!! just u wait n see sweaty!!111

its like not only is that uncomfortable and bad for whoever they want (that clearly does not want them) but also its teaching girls that love is about how dedicated you are (like attaining a goal) rather than love being based on mutual attraction and feelings

Do you ever think about how Sakura made three love confessions in the manga and all of them were rejected and made her look embarrassing. That has to be a record of some kind.
