Ok there's a lot of clone wars episodes where the clones are mostly just window dressing and don't get to say much, which is why I was even watching this episode in the first place (who doesn't love a fic digging into a background character's pov right?) But Rex straight up doesn't say a word through all of "Blue Shadow Virus" even though he gets involved in it shortly after Ahsoka does. They didn't even hand him one line like you do with ensemble casts to remind everyone that the whole ensemble is there. Unnamed clones get more than Rex does I - yay for the unnamed clones but also I hate when people stick characters places and then do nothing with them

#how am i supposed to WORK with this complete dearth of rex lines!!!#all he does is shoot. this can convey some things but like. i would like to know how badly hes clamping down on worry about the virus #or if he is at all! maybe he isnt super worried! i know this means i have total power over his thoughts and emotions in this moment #but i prefer having canon give me SOME guidance i mean come on #star wars #clone wars #captain rex #and look im being so petty right now this episode didnt have time to spare on How Clones Feel About Things and i get it #i just think rex should have gotten a sassy line or two bc theres some moments that definitely earn sass
