When You Loved Me
Tumblr media Tumblr media
1,209 words || Fluff, Spoilers for Season 4 Episode 4, Hurt/Comfort, GN Reader, Doctor Reader, Happy Ending, Childhood Trauma ||
Inspired by the idea that at least one doctor would have formed an attachment.
Thank you to @bisexualhomelander for being my beta
They're nearly all dead, there's just one loose end that Homelander needs to tie up.
So he stands outside the unassuming house, ready to cross the final name off his list, which he found in an old abandoned file documenting his ‘development’.
It was a stroke of luck that he found you - it seemed as if Vogelbaum scrubbed you from all official records.
Determined to finish what he's started, he knocks on your door and waits impatiently, ready to strike you down where you stand.
“Im coming!”
He freezes, his entire body tensing up as your voice unlocks memories from his time in the lab, ones buried deep somewhere at the back of his mind.
A frightened and hurt little boy being held, being comforted after the incinerator and the other horrible forms of torture he was subjected to.
“Shhh, it's okay, you're okay. I'm here. Shall we read another story?”
The door slowly opens and there you are.
Now that he's seen your face, the memories are more vivid. There’s still that kindness in your eyes, the one he saw every night before he went to sleep.
At least, for a few months before you disappeared.
“Hello, John.” Your smile is still as warm as he remembers. “My, how you’ve grown. Come in, come in!”
With trepidation, he slowly enters, unsure of what he’ll find. It’s homely, filled with curiosities and everything he’s ever associated with a true American home. As he follows you into your living room, he notices some of the pictures on the wall with you and your former colleagues at Vought, some of whom he’s already killed.
“Would you like something to drink?”
“A glass of milk would be nice,” he replies, trying his best to smile while conflicting thoughts swirl in his mind.
He was so convinced that you were like the others that had you not spoken, he would have killed you the moment you opened the door.
“Well take a seat, I’ll be right back.”
He takes a seat on your couch, hands in his lap, looking around the room again. That’s when he notices the mantelpiece, covered in photos and newspaper clippings, all in ornate frames.
Not of your family - of him. They’re all of him.
Taking pride of place in the middle of the mantelpiece is a picture from several years ago.
“Don't worry John, it's just a camera. All I'm going to do is take a picture of just the two of us. I promise it won't hurt.”
He's sat on your lap, your arms around him, holding him tightly, protectively, a smile on your face.
He’s smiling too. He’s happy. He’s with you.
They took you from me.
“Here we go,” your return snaps him back to reality, his eyes softening as he notices the glass of milk in your hand and a plate of cookies in your other, settling it down on the coffee table in front of him.
It’s such a sweet gesture.
You take a seat in a nearby armchair, “It’s so wonderful to see you again.”
After all these years, you’re still this beacon of absolute kindness.
“Do I call you John or Homelander?”
“John.”
How did I forget how lovingly you said my name? How did I forget you?
“I’m so proud of you, you’ve done so well. And look at you, you’re The Homelander! Leader of the Seven!”
His lower lip quivers, trying to keep himself together but it’s proving harder. Your praise comes from a place of pure love, something he’s never experienced or at least, he can’t remember experiencing.
“I see you’ve noticed the mantel. I know I must seem mad but I’ve been following your progress.”
You cared about me, you care about me, it’s all genuine.
“You were so young when I last saw you, with that lovely little smile.”
You reach out to take his hand but he pulls away, only so he can take off his glove. It looks so small in his, he knows if he squeezes just a little, all your bones would be crushed to dust.
But he won't.
“The things we did. Oh John, I’m sorry, I’m so sorry that I didn’t do anything to save you. I should've stood up to Vogelbaum, I should've protected you."
Saved him, protected him - the regret is written all over your face.
They regretted their actions too, only after he reminded them. Then they apologised but it was too late for them, maybe it’s still too late for you.
He squeezes your hand, trying to comfort you.
“You know, I think about you every day. I wanted to reach out but I figured Vogelbaum would have any attempt at contact blocked, especially from me. All because I chose to be human.”
Human. They were human too and they tortured me.
It’s clear that is a sore subject for you, nowhere near as painful for him but the fact it makes you sad somehow makes him feel better. It shows that you cared.
“They fired me for ‘interfering with the experiment’ but how could I not?! You were scared, you were crying and they left you all alone in that horrid room.”
The bad room.
“I couldn’t just leave you there to cry yourself to sleep. So I volunteered to take the night shift. Do you remember… remember the first time?”
His jaw tightens, desperately searching his mind for even the tiniest hint of a recollection yet all of the torment he was subjected to has buried everything deeper.
“You were terrified that I was going to hurt you, your eyes glowed red and you trembled. I knew you didn’t want to hurt me but you would if you had to.”
You understood.
“It took you a few minutes to realise I wouldn’t hurt you - I think it was the books under my arm that convinced you I wasn’t a threat.”
A single flash - “Would you like me to read you a story?”
“I sat down on your bed, you sat on my lap and we read story, after story, after story. Until you didn’t want me to read anymore, you just wanted me to hold you. So I did exactly that.”
He desperately wants to remember, he needs to remember.
“Then Vogelbaum found out, I must have forgotten to turn the cameras off and I was removed from the project. I should’ve fought for you, I should’ve marched right back in there and demanded to take you. But I didn’t.”
But you’re here now. They’re all dead but you’re still here.
“I forgive you,” it slips out of his mouth, however, this time it’s heartfelt. He means this without malice.
You’re the parent he’d always wanted, living in a house he always dreamed of, serving him milk and cookies like he’s still that young boy you cared about.
Maybe it wasn’t too late, maybe there could be something here, born from the ashes of your past sin and his trauma.
Sniffling, you wipe away your tears, tightening your grip on his hand. When the smile returns, it’s affectionate and all for him.
“I want you to know, John. I need you to know, that you’ll always have a place here and in my heart."

Thinking about Psychonauts 2 again, and you know what scene pops into my head a lot? It’s near the end of the game, when Raz runs back to the caravan to get his family’s support to take down Maligula. In a game about mental health and coping with loss and mistakes, this scene, while small, says volumes.
Tumblr media
If you don’t remember, when Raz makes his way to the caravan while Nona is in the middle of her big water tornado, this is how he finds his family; gathered around Augustus, offering whatever support they can.
Look at how Augustus is sitting. The classic “face to your knees” pose naturally signals that he’s upset, but there’s something more to that. When you think of this pose, who do you think of?
Children. Children are more likely to sit like this as they process their big feelings because sitting on the floor doesn’t feel inappropriate. When you get older, you feel embarrassed expressing yourself the way you did as a child and you move onto other coping mechanisms, ones that are less visibly upset. But not Augustus, not in this moment. I first when I saw this, I wasn’t sure what was happening, until Donatella spoke.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Remember, Raz just finished sorting through Nona’s memories and unlocking the psychic barriers that kept Maligula trapped. We recently learned that Ford messed with both Nona and Augustus’ memories to make them believe Nona was truly Augustus’ mother, not his aunt. Both of Augustus’ parents died, and have been dead for decades. While Raz was undoing the mental blocks, he wasn’t just revealing the truth to Nona. He was unraveling the truth in Augustus’ mind too.
Imagine you’re with your family, looking for your mother. She’s old, she’s wandered off, she isn’t as sharp as she used to be. You need to find her and keep her safe, you almost lost your son a few days ago and you can’t lose your mother too. And then the memories start unlocking. Memories of two graves, of a packed orphanage, of a strange man warping your mind and delivering you into the care of a woman you knew deep down to be the arbiter of national genocide, who this man made you think was your mother. Of course you break down. Of course you act like a child, even in front of your own children. What else can you do?
Tumblr media
When Augustus says this, the statement is twofold. The mother he thought survived has been dead all this time, and the woman who did raise him has warped back to the traumatized, angry shell that caused so much death in your past. He’s lost both women in this moment.
The series does an incredible job of connecting us with the trauma and baggage of whoever’s mind we enter. But we never enter Augustus’ mind. We only get to see his trauma through show not tell, and that leaves us with a more evocative scene than many of the mental worlds we’ve visited before.
Tumblr media
The writers know how powerful this scene is, and they make sure we linger on it with this long zoom out. The entire family embraces Augustus and shares in his woe. They’ll need their strength to help Nona soon enough, but they have to grieve for a moment, they have to acknowledge the hurt and pain they’ve inherited if they hope to rebuild their family.
I love this game.

i would love a best friends to lovers scenario. Like joost and reader are best friends for years and they are now developing feelings. Reader isn't dutch but german or something else and they teach each other their language. Like imagine joost teaching her dutch. And Please a lot of cheesy fluff. Thank you🥹
sorry for taking a while, i wanted to try to get the dutch as accurate as possible ❤️

How Do You Say ‘I Love You’
Tumblr media Tumblr media
You and Joost are childhood friends. After high school, you moved away from the Netherlands and since have been living in the south of France, but he’s always been bad at dealing with your absense
sfw: fluff, friends to lovers, so much fluff
-
When high school ended and you went off for university, Joost felt like a piece of him had been left vacant. His heart ached during the fall and spring months when you were away in France teaching private English lessons and being a nanny to spoiled little French kids for half the year. The family you worked for always rubbed him the wrong way, but he didn’t realize why until he saw you again.
It was the beginning of summer, the family wanted you to postpone your month-long trip to the Netherlands, the country where you’d spent most of your adolescence and left all your loved ones behind. When you’d told Joost that you wouldn’t be back for another month, he’d gotten so upset and impatient that he booked a ticket the second he got your text and showed up unannounced.
You remembered how mortified you were when you were awoken by the two children, Max and Lucas, you looked after, delirious from sleep hearing them ramble about a strange, tall man with blonde hair who spoke poor French at their door. You hardly heard the morning birds, the sky still had hues of deep, navy blue, and the sun still under sheets of clouds, it was a criminal that you were being disturbed this early.
You remembered even more so the moment you looked through the peephole and felt your stomach turn. Your body was freezing already from being out of the warm bed, but his presence alone paralyzed you with it. You watched the distorted image of his nervous expression and body language, how he looked over his shoulder constantly and tapped his foot. He held one suitcase in his hand and wore an overstuffed backpack. His hair was a lot blonder than the last time you saw him, and he grew a mustache. This wasn’t the man you’d seen last year, and it certainly wasn’t the boy you were inseparable from in school who you watched YouTube and played video games with.
“Joost?” You rasped, still feeling the aura of sleep, the situation itself made you like you were dreaming without the fatigue.
“Yes.” He answered. “Please let me in.” He said curtly.
You frantically unlocked the door and practically jumped into his arms, hugging him as tightly as you could. The smell of his shampoo was overwhelming, bringing you back to when you were in his bedroom, just turned 13 and entering your scary teenage years. He’d always shower after school before you came over, he made it a habit as he liked to play football with the other boys after school and come home tracking dirt and mud in the house. You missed his parents’ voices scolding him for always forgetting to take his shoes off. The smell of apple in his hair brought you back to that beautiful memory. It hurt to let go.
“Missed you.” You mumbled, holding back the tears of the overwhelming happiness to see your friend again. “Don’t forget to take off your shoes.”
“C’est ton petit compain?” One of the boys teased you, prompting you to playfully push the giggling kids away into the kitchen.
“Vas t’en.” You scolded lightly. “Go to the kitchen.”
Joost chuckled, the sight of you with the boys always warmed his heart. He’d only met the kids a handful of times since whenever you two would reunite it would be in the Netherlands. They treated him awkwardly, but it was an infectious happiness, the domestic, comforting feeling of it to see you so caring and motherly. He felt at home with you all the time, and your sweet nature had soothed him for as long as he knew you. Even in the south of France, jet-lagged and nervous he felt happy with you.
“I’ll start making breakfast.” You said, quickly grabbing the apron and putting it over your pajamas he could tell this was a well-established, chaotic routine. “Do you want tea or coffee?”
“Koffie.” Joost exaggerated his choice of Dutch, encouraging you to roll your eyes. “Alstublieft”
You felt a bit bad that your Dutch was severely lacking despite living in the Netherlands for five years. It was honestly kind of embarrassing, especially for someone who taught a language for a living. You understood enough to finish primary school and talk to friends, but completely stopped practicing once you returned to France, and it’s only deteriorated since. Joost was disappointed, to say the least, but he enjoyed having something to tease you over.
“I’ll be here for two weeks, by the way.” He began, “You’ll speak perfect Dutch once I’m gone, so you’ll be really to come back to the Netherlands.”
You scoffed, “Why do I have to learn Dutch but you don’t have to learn French?”
He only chuckled in response as you prepared his coffee the way he always liked, hot, one spoon of sugar and a splash of milk. He’d been drinking it that way since you started high school together. Every morning, in fact, a steaming hot coffee, usually the shitty kind that was somehow always bitter no matter how much sugar you put in there. It was unsurprising that he loved cigarettes so much.
“I’ll learn French, why not.” He said, smiling as he took the steaming mug from you. “Dank je.” He thanked you sweetly.
“Merçi.” You corrected, “Omelette ou pain et fromage mes petits choux?” You asked the boys.
“Pain et fromage.” The two boys answered loudly in unison, clearly hungry and impatient.
“Pain et fromage.” Joost added in his broken accent, “Alstublieft.” His answer in Dutch sent the boys into a giggling fit.
You couldn’t help but sigh and laugh, internally relieved that you wouldn’t have to go fight the chickens for their eggs, a sight that would’ve certainly amused Joost, and could quickly cut up some of the bread you’d baked last night and cheese made from one of the local farmers. You were glad that as tired as he was, you’d at least be able to get him some good food.
You set the table, laying out a few choices of jam, cut-up fruits, and a little bit of butter. The boys drank their cups of juice and ate their breakfast happily, excitedly telling Joost about their today’s plans, a trip to the beach with the neighbor’s family and their youngest son.
“Are you boys good swimmers?” Joost asked them, his smile big and overpowering all his features, it was your favorite thing about him.
“Yes.” The youngest answered, Max, “Ma nounou is a very bad swimmer.” He always had to be brutally honest.
“She’s ok.” Lucas defended, sweetly handing you half of his mandarin when he noticed that you didn’t take any fruit. “We need to be ready in one hour.” He informed Joost quite seriously, the little kid a stickler for rules.
“Yes, don’t worry,” Joost assured him, taking the empty plates for you to the sink once he was finished eating. “Why don’t you help me with the dishes and give your nounou a break, hm?”
The boys exchanged irritated glances, making a silent agreement between themselves to not embarrass you or themselves in front of their guest. They dragged their feet to the sink, helping Joost clear off the table and wash the dishes as promised, giving you a moment to sneak away to get ready.
“How long have you known nounou?” Lucas asked, hearing the shower upstairs and knowing he was allowed to speak freely now. “We don’t know a lot about you.”
“Oh,” Joost huffed, instantly taken back to the same place you went when you saw him at the door. “Seventeen years, we met when we were twelve.”
The boys made a sound of astonishment, the concept of someone being friends for longer than they had been alive was a concept difficult to grasp but made them more inclined to like Joost instead of just seeing him as a stranger in their home. He understood, you were the closest thing to their mother and you’d been with them since they were born, essentially making them family. He needed to make a good impression.
“That’s a long time.” Max, being only ten, this was especially shocking. “Do you love her?”
Joost felt his cheeks burn, the lack of filters that kids had was something he could never get used to. He could only imagine how crazy this one drove you.
“Yes, I love her,” Joost answered, carefully stacking the expensive glass plates, plain as they were the few of them cost probably as much as his shoes. “She’s a good friend.”
The boys decided it wasn’t a satisfactory response, and to continue to interrogate him with questions. Naturally, they had to find out if he was good enough for you.
“You love her or you like her?” Lucas asked his tone still so serious Joost began to get intimidated by the little French kid still in his pajamas.
He heard the shower had stopped for a while, but knowing you, you were probably still overthinking what to wear or were taking a few minutes just to sit in the bathroom wrapped in your towel. He knew you too well, all the tiniest most negligible parts of you he memorized like it was his favorite song. He would play over and over in his head the things that you’d do, how your nose scrunched up when you laughed, how you rolled your eyes every time he corrected your Dutch.
“I do love her,” Joost admitted quietly, making his way to the living room. It was bigger than he remembered, a bit renovated, and kept impeccably neat, he wondered if they’d finally hired a housekeeper. “Kids, did your parents ever hire more help?”
Lucas shook his head, “Non.” He answered a bit sadly. “Maman says we don’t need more than a nanny.”
Joost simply nodded, thinking about the first and seemingly last time he met the boys’ parents. They were tall, stone-faced Parisian lawyers who wanted an escape from the city for their children, or rather from them, prompting them to buy the biggest house on the little hill in a southern French village. It was completely idyllic, but without you, he felt that they’d leave this beautiful home completely soulless.
“You kids should get ready.” Joost glanced at the clock, dreading when he would have to rummage through his bag to find swimming trunks and his sandals.
He found one of the many guest rooms and adopted it as his own for now. After making a proper mess of his clothes, he finally found his brightly colored blue trunks and flip-flops. He was the kind of person who liked wearing sneakers to the beach, but you never failed to give him a lecture about messing up your shoes with the sand, so he decided to be on your good side today.
Every time Joost reunited with you, somehow you’d changed completely for the better. You were more beautiful than the last time he saw you, softer, your presence feeling almost regal. He always wondered how you always looked so put together, how you always could calm or fix a situation. He saw you through rose-tinted glasses, but it never felt like an illusion.
“You look nice.” Joost complimented, taking the beach bags you’d packed from your hand and slinging it over his shoulder. “Are we walking?”
You nodded, “It’s fifteen minutes to the spot we go to.” You said, looking at him with a bit of excitement. “There’s a lot of shops and nice restaurants closer to that area.”
Eventually, the kids ran into their friend while walking, catching up with him and his parents and walking ahead, leaving you and Joost trailing behind.
“They were so tiny the last time I saw them.” He said, remembering how shy and reserved they were just a few years ago.
“Don’t remind me.” You said, watching the boys as they talked and joked with their friends. “I can’t believe we used to be that little.”
Joost turned to look at you, taking in all your beautiful features, returning once again to those old memories that made him happiest. As you two walked, the crashing waves and the fresh saltiness cleared his senses and washed away his apprehensions. It brought him back to the time he realized he loved you.
It was also on a French beach. You’d just completed your first year of university, enjoying the summer break, getting a new job as a nanny, and Joost came down to congratulate you. The two of you lay on the warm sand for hours, fingers grazing each other’s stomachs hurting and cheeks aching from laughing so much. He wanted to blame it on the fact that you’d packed a cooler full of sandwiches and alcohol, or that you’d been wearing a white bathing suit, and the sunset was one of the most beautiful and vibrant he’d seen, shining golden light against your skin. The scene was romantic, he had a bit too much to drink and he thought he was just confused.
He wished he told you then. The feeling only grew steadily over time, like seeds he’d planted his love for you slowly grew. He was thankful it was slow, the distance keeping his feeling muted and controlled as he didn’t have to face you every day, and your friendship surviving over texting and calls. Even then, he would reread all your texts, and stare at the pictures you’d send at random points of the day. It became like a ritual, every day before bed, when he woke up, if he was having a particularly bad day seeing your smiling face eased him.
“We have so much to talk about.” You were dying to hear all his stories about his tour. Joost was always cool to you, but being a musician made him so much cooler.
“I can tell you all about my shows.” He immediately knew what you were interested in. “But in Dutch.”
You groaned in response, not wanting to start the speaking Dutch argument yet. You found a place far enough to talk out of earshot but close enough to keep an eye on the kids. The weather was perfect, warm and sunny but not enough to swim yet.
“I thought you wanted to learn French.” You said, laying down the blankets and pulling his hand so that he’d sit with you.
“I do.” Joost sat a little closer than you were anticipating, his shoulder and knee touching you. “I’ll talk to you in Dutch and you can answer in French.”
“That’s too hard.” You complained. “Just speak a little Dutch.”
“Fine.” He relented. “De concerten waren leuk, the concerts were fun, easy right?”
“Ja, zeker.” You answered, seeing his face immediately light up at hearing you attempt to speak Dutch again, even if it was simple. “Wat was je favoriete onderdeel, what was your favorite part?” You asked slowly.
“So advanced.” Joost complimented jokingly “Alles was goed, zingen is altijd leuk, maar reizen is het beste, it was all good, but traveling is the best.”
“Ja, dat is leuk.” You answered plainly, not having much in your memory to work with.
Joost chuckled, bumping your knee. “How do you live in the Netherlands for five years and your Dutch is shit?”
“Your best friend speaks French and you don’t.” You attempted to defend yourself, it was a bit hypocritical as you two lived in the Netherlands at one point and not France. “But you will learn, and we’ll speak French all the time.”
“No, because I’m bringing you back to the Netherlands.” He answered, he was serious in his hopes you’d come back. “Everyone is waiting for you there.”
You hesitated, “I just hated the fact I couldn’t pick up Dutch.”  You’d said it a dozen times, the fact you’d felt more comfortable speaking French was the reason you’d chosen to start your life here.
“We spoke Dutch all the time as kids.” He reminded you. “Don’t you want to come back?”
You couldn’t help but watch as Lucas and Max built sandcastles with their friend. France was beautiful, you had a good life and found a second family here. Even if the parents were a bit difficult at times, at least they paid you nicely and you knew they loved you. Still, you didn’t know if your future was nannying, or if it was even in France.
“I miss you all the time.” You began, reaching into one of the coolers to offer Joost a beer to let the building emotion taper off. “But maybe I’ll get to come back with you in two weeks.”
“It’s a bit early for beer.” He chuckled, handing it back and trading it for soda. “You’re trying to get me drunk already?”
“Shut up.” You hit his knee with yours. “Do you want to try to get into the water?”
Joost had felt the sun begin burning him through his shirt and was staring at the calm, crystal blue waters. He nodded and was relieved you said something.
He watched as you slipped off the straps of your sheer coverup and kicked off your sandals. You wore a floral bikini, he wished he could get closer to study the pattern and to feel how soft your skin was, he was glad being at the beach with you was an opportunity to be able to be able to hold you.
You two held hands as he led you into the water, thankfully it wasn’t as cold as he was expecting. At first, you two swam alone, you clung onto Joost’s back, your hands resting on his shoulders and legs wrapped around his torso as he went into the deeper end. It was like that for a while, talking about random things and pushing each other into the water until the kids decided to join you.
Joost was always great with kids, he was gentle and patient even if they were spoiled and could be a bit demanding. Lucas and Max spent a great deal arguing over who got to go on Joost’s shoulders so that they could go in the deep end. You spent the rest of the time swimming with Joost, the boys, and the parents before you decided it was time for lunch.
Lucas had been working to keep himself, his brother and his friend separated from you so that you and Joost could have time alone together. It was a sweet gesture, and he could tell how much he cared for you and his wish to be alone, even if he didn’t completely understand the depth of it.
Joost wrapped you in a towel and offered to brush your hair as you began to eat your lunch, a cold sandwich you’d packed the night before, chips, and more cut-up fruits, you couldn’t help it living next to so many farms. You fed some chips and fruit to Joost as he detangled your hair, giggling as you tried to figure out where his mouth was without compromising his work.
“I’m done now.” He admired his work, smoothing down the hair on your face. “I’m hungry, stop forcing me to work.”
He sat beside you and began to eat, still watching the way the sun glittered on the water but even then he felt something missing. As beautiful as it was, he realized he’d enjoyed looking at your hair and the sight of your smiling face much more.
“Is it good?” You asked, always tending to be nervous about whether or not someone liked your food.
“Yes, always.” Joost responded, “I love your cooking.”
“Say, J’aime votre cuisine.” You told him, getting a side-eyed response.
“J’aime votre cuisine.” He repeated, his pronunciation improving a bit. “How do you say I love the beach?”
“J’aime la plage.” You responded, wondering why he was asking such easy questions.
“How do you say I love you?” He was trying to be annoying, but as always you gave in.
“Je t’aime.” You said, rolling your eyes. “You know that.”
“Oh,” Joost brought you into an aggressive hug. “Je t’aime aussi.”
You didn’t know how the playful aggression ended up with you lying down with your head on Joost’s shoulder. You looked over at him, seeing that his expression had softened as you both listened to the sounds of the ocean and soft music from the shops down the street.
“I wish you’d come back forever.” He mumbled suddenly.
“Why so soon?” You asked, “You get to visit me here, and you’re never home anymore anyway.”
“I’d bring you everywhere with me.” Joost’s tone was a bit too serious, “I could take care of you.”
You propped yourself up on your elbow, looking down at his face. It wasn’t fair, he was even handsome from this angle. “What do you mean?”
He was the one sighing and rolling his eyes this time. “You know how I feel about you.” he began, “You know I don’t see you as just a friend.”
The confession wasn’t that, but just putting the obvious out into the open. You’ve never touched Joost more than a hug, or holding his hand in the seventeen years you’d known each other. You couldn’t fathom how excruciating it would have been if you focused on the fact that you’d always been dreaming about his touch and finally have something besides this friendship, as much as you cherished it.
You could’ve mistaken his lips for strawberries, and when you’d leaned down and pressed yours against them they might as well have been from how much fruit you’d spoiled him with.
You kept the kiss brief, smoothing your hand down the softness of his cheek as you looked into his eyes, the blue much more magnificent and captivating than any ocean you’ve seen.
“Ik hou van jou.” You whispered, the way his face brightened and how he smiled was something you’d never seen before. You wished the memory would burn itself into your mind. “You’re my best friend, I love you.”
“Je t’aime.” He whispered back, wasting no time to bring you into another kiss.

AS THE WREN SHEDS HER FEATHER (ELIAS’S POV AFTER SEEING YOU OFF TO UNIVERSITY)
one of the servants unlocked the door to the manor and elias stepped inside, the peculiar quietness pressing down on him like an unexpected weight. it was strange—to be met with silence when he expected his little apple to come bounding downstairs or to be already lounging in the living room to greet him. he thought he’d have an easier time getting used to it, but now? he wasn’t so sure.
elias handed his tailor-made suit jacket to another servant, glancing at the framed picture on one of the mantles near the fireplace: you, as a young kid, perched on his shoulders, a grin lighting up your face. your mother’s arm is looped around his, a laugh in her eyes so identical to yours as she holds onto the two of you.
he could remember the day that picture was taken, but it wasn’t enough—just memories which grow blurry each day. so he went to his study, where he kept the home videos. the cabinet was hidden behind a stack of old books, almost as though he’d been trying to bury it. but tonight, with you miles away at yale and his heart feeling like it was suddenly too big and too heavy for his chest, he wanted to see her. he wanted to see both of you.
after a few minutes of sorting through the SD cards, he found one simply labeled, “to be remembered.” he slid it into the player, and the screen flickered, a bit staticky, before the familiar image of the manor’s living room filled the screen.
the camera was shaky at first, moving around as your mother laughed, “elias, you’re terrible at this. here, let me…” her hand appeared in the frame, reaching for the camera.
“no way!” elias’s voice, younger and far more cheery, filled with laughter, protested from behind the camera. “i’m the cameraman. you, mijn liefje, are the star.”
“oh, so you just get to sit back and watch, huh?” she teased with a fond roll of her eyes.
the camera settled, a little less wobbly, as elias zoomed in on you, toddling around with your hands outstretched for balance, your whole face lit up with excitement. you must have been barely two, still unsteady on your feet, wobbling a little as you reached for her.
“come here, sweetheart,” she said, crouching down to your level, arms open. “you can do it, just a few more steps.”
elias chuckled as he watched her coax you forward, a surge of warmth flooding his chest. he remembered how her face would soften every time she looked at you, the way her eyes would light up. and then he saw it again—how she laughed when you finally tumbled forward into her arms, her joy bubbling over.
the tape lurched forward in fits and starts, as if elias had just recorded whatever seemed meaningful at the time without thinking about how it would piece together later. the screen shifted to a birthday, candles on a homemade cake—your fifth birthday. you were wearing a crown made of a long balloon that you’d insisted on, sitting cross-legged at the table, and there were flecks of icing smudged on your cheeks. your mother was holding the cake, careful to keep it level, beaming as she leaned toward you.
“go on, make a wish!” she encouraged.
you closed your eyes so tightly, putting your hands together with exaggerated seriousness, lips moving silently as if asking the universe for something only a child could imagine. then, with a deep breath, you blew out all the candles in one go. the room erupted in cheers—your mother, your father, your kindergarten classmates, even some of elias’s business partners they’d invited over that day.
“what’d you wish for, apple?” elias’s voice asked from behind the camera.
“i can’t tell you, dada, or it won’t come true,” you said, grinning, eyes twinkling in the candlelight.
the camera lingered on your face, the pure joy and belief shining in your eyes. elias could remember how the moment felt then, with both of you so young and so certain that everything good could be held together just by love and laughter. he felt a pang in his chest, a memory too nostalgic to hold without pain.
the video cut to the christmas morning of 2009—your mother was filming this time, narrating with a chuckle as she zoomed in on the chaos of ripped wrapping paper and new toys scattered across the floor.
“look at this mess! who do you think is going to clean all this up?” she asked, mockingly stern, zooming in on you hiding behind the couch.
“dada!” you’d shouted, giggling as you peeked out from your hiding spot.
“wow, selling me out, huh?” elias’s younger self chuckled as he leaned into the frame, pretending to growl and chasing you around as you giggle and try to run away from him.
the frame then jumps to another clip of you in the center of the frame, small and wide-eyed, your tiny hands busy, your concentration fixed on hanging ornaments on the lower half of the tree. you were talking to yourself in that way only small children do, a quiet monologue about which ornaments went where and how important it was that they were balanced just right.
“that’s the glittery one!” your mother’s voice came through, rich with warmth and humor. the camera wobbled slightly as she adjusted the focus, trying to capture your handiwork up close. “are you sure it should go there?”
“mama,” you said, in that exasperated tone only a preschooler could muster, “i know where it goes.”
“oh, i see,” she laughed, the sound a warm, gentle ripple through the screen. she shifted the camera to capture elias as he stepped in, feigning seriousness, hands on his hips.
“is the decorating committee open to suggestions?” he asked, crouching down to your level with a grin.
“no,” you replied without missing a beat, making him chuckle.
he then reached over, lifting you off the ground in one swift motion, swinging you in a wide circle. you shrieked with delight, half trying to wriggle free, half clinging to him.
in the background, your mother could be heard laughing too, her voice just as bright and full of love as your giggles. as he lowered you back down, she moved closer, still holding the camera as she leaned in to plant a kiss on your cheek.
“who’s the little ornament expert now?” she murmured, voice so close, so impossibly tender. she kissed you on one cheek, and elias joined in, kissing you on the other, making you squirm between them, giggling with each kiss.
“stop, stop!” you squealed, caught between pushing them away and clinging to them. “you’re both squishing me!”
“we just can’t help it,” your mother said, a soft laugh trailing off as she kissed you again. “you’re so loved, my sweet baby, you know that?”
elias’s voice was quieter but equally warm as he added, “we love you so, so much, little apple. more than anything.”
he pressed another kiss to your cheek, lingering, his voice almost catching, as if he was holding onto the moment where he truly felt like he was the richest man on earth.
elias hit pause. the screen froze on her face—her smile bright, eyes crinkling at the edges. he swallowed hard, feeling the tears well up before he could stop them. the years had done nothing to soften the edges of her absence. the house still echoed with her laugh some days, in small ways that felt like nothing and everything. he let the tears fall, a quiet acceptance of how deeply he still missed her.
finally, he pressed play again, as if he couldn’t bear to stop watching. he watched you grow through that grainy screen: you with your first lost tooth, your first day at school, your proud insistence on making dinner—omelette burnt to a crisp that elias and your mother had eaten anyway, praising every bite.
and then the last video came, a quiet day at the beach. the camera showed you and your mother on the sand, the waves lapping at your feet. she held your hand as the wind whipped through her hair, her smile soft and quiet as she watched you point excitedly at the seagulls swooping overhead. she bent down, saying something to you that he couldn’t quite hear over the sound of the waves, but he remembered the feeling of that day, of everything feeling just right in that one moment, sun dipping below the horizon in a blaze of color.
he watched as the sun began to sink lower in the video, casting a warm orange glow across the sand. and then she looked back at the camera, at him, her gorgeous eyes meeting his through the lens.
“come here, darling,” she called, beckoning him with a smile.
the camera dropped slightly as he walked toward her, and for a moment, all that was visible on the screen was a blur of sky and sand. then he set the camera down in the sand, angled just so, and the three of you were together, laughing as you stood side by side, the waves lapping at your ankles, the horizon stretching endlessly behind you.
and then, just like that, the tape ran out, the screen going to static.
elias sat there in the silence, his chest tight, the memories pressing in on him, so beautiful and aching all at once. he hadn’t let himself revisit these moments in years, too afraid of what they’d stir up, but now the memories felt as vital as air. he could almost hear her voice, feel the weight of her hand on his shoulder, see the way her eyes had softened every time she looked at you both.
he leaned back in his chair, one hand covering his mouth as he closed his eyes, letting the repressed emotions wash over him. the tears spilled over, hot and unbidden, the kind that left him feeling vacant and full at the same time.
he never cried in front of you like this, too afraid that it’d break the fragile tape that held the dam of your devastation upright. but now, elias didn’t even try to wipe the tears away. he let himself feel it all, the bittersweet ache of love and loss, the memories that filled the empty spaces your mother had left behind.
the silence seemed different now though, less hollow, filled with echoes of laughter and whispers of promises he’d made, long ago, to keep always keep going—for you, and for her.

Parallel Parked
Tumblr media
Pairing: Spencer Reid × Wife!Reader
Fluff
For: @imagining-in-the-margins Kid Fic Prompt!
Summary: You two take your daughter to school for the first time, but you can’t make yourselves leave the parking lot.
Content Warnings: Leaving kids at school, worries of children growing up, pure fluff
Author's Note: Absolutely love this, I'm a full believer in girl-dad Spencer!
Feedback is always welcome!
Requests are OPEN
The bag was packed, the lunch was made, and your daughter was dressed and eager for her first day of school. Your husband had instilled in her a love of learning from an early age, attempting to teach her quadratic equations before she learned to walk. Even though she didn’t pick up on everything he was saying, the way she reached for his tie was cute enough for the both of you.
But that was the past. Now she was smiling from ear to ear as she ate her chocolate chip pancakes and watched the two of you get ready. Packing was always on Spencer due to his eidetic memory, but you still wanted to double-check that she had everything and sneakily add your own touches.
The two of you moved around with an unspoken sadness in the air, heavy with the knowledge that your daughter was no longer so little. Although she would soon be going off to her first day of kindergarten, you tried to keep yourself excited for her. After all, this was a great experience that could open up a gateway of learning for her.
She velcroed her shoes and stood up, straightening out her shirt and adjusting the large backpack she certainly wouldn’t need.
“I’m ready to go!”
Her cheerful voice cut through the dull atmosphere, and you both grabbed your keys and got ready to go. When you slipped into the car, she sat in her seat next to the backpack and turned on one of your husband’s favorite classical stations.
She looked excited, and you couldn’t blame her. That childlike wonder was one of your favorite parts about her. The drive was unusually quick. You’d gone this route several times before, and you swore it took twice the time.
She grinned even wider as she saw the school in the distance, kicking her little legs as if she couldn’t wait. As soon as the car was parked, she swung the door open with a burst of energy.
Spencer had to hurry to catch up to her as she ran towards the front doors. You grabbed her backpack and led her inside the winding halls, looking for the room number that her school sent out. She pointed it out for you, smiling proudly at her skills.
The two of you smiled at each other as she stood outside the classroom, waving at her teacher and making sure she had everything she needed. You both took turns hugging her, saying your ‘I love you’s and ‘goodbye’s. When she headed inside and took a seat at the table, you turned around and squeezed each other’s hands reassuringly as you headed back towards the car.
After unlocking the doors and taking your seats again, he just sat there in silence. You were quiet too, holding back bittersweet tears at the knowledge that she didn’t need you two anymore. He sniffled softly as well, staring at the doors of the school as the air thickened. You just sat together, sharing your sadness and pride in your daughter.
He took a deep breath, opening his mouth and voicing his concerns.
“What if she needs something and the school calls? We should wait here just in case.”
You nodded in agreement, wiping your tears and following his gaze to the front doors.
“She gets out of school at 11. It’s easier to wait a few hours. We can take her out for ice cream to celebrate.”
He squeezed your hand as you two relaxed, waiting for your daughter to return from her first day of school.

I came, I saw, I liked.
—★! NSFW, MDNI, AFAB! Reader is in too deep.
part 3 here!!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Just one stream was enough to captivate you, leaving your panties soaked and craving for more. The man on the screen was unlike anyone you had ever seen before, and the promise of seeing more was constantly flashing and tempting you.
Without a second thought, you stumble out of bed and rush to your purse, desperate to grab your credit card before the man's performance ends. Your hands frantically search through the velvet lining of your purse until you finally grasp onto the plastic key that will unlock GD's show for you.
You rush back to your laptop, snatching it up and quickly typing in your credit card information with a sense of desperation that surprises you. It's crazy how one man can make you act like such a hornball. But he's not like other men; there's something about him that draws you in, and it's not just his impressive size. It was the way he spoke so few words that left you dripping wet like a leaky faucet. By the time your payment goes through and the paywall disappears, the live stream is over and he's already gone. You can't believe you missed it.
Although you were disappointed, his profile was now open for your viewing pleasure. There were only a few videos available, and the dates between them were inconsistent. Some had been posted months apart, while others had nearly a year in between. He didn't upload content frequently, which left his fans eager for more and made his live streams a special treat for those who managed to catch them before he disappeared again.
You crave to hear his voice a little more, so you click on one of his latest videos. Once again, GD's face is not shown, only the lower half of his body and a long-sleeved shirt. He leans forward with a closed hand, examining a pair of delicate red panties. You can tell by the way he holds them up that he is inspecting them closely. A dark chuckle escapes him as he shakes his head in disbelief. "When I said I didn't mind receiving gifts, this was not what I had in mind, love." His words are directed towards whoever sent him their lingerie. He speaks politely, his gravelly accent resonating in the dimly lit room where he sits.
"You didn't have to, but I do appreciate it," he says with a teasing tone as he lays the fabric across his lap. His fingers playfully trail along the material, revealing a hint of desire in his actions. "Were you thinking about me when you wore these? That's not very good, getting such a beautiful pair all wet." He chuckles at the idea, and soon there is a visible bulge in his pants. GD showed no hesitation, he pulls out his thick shaft from his sweatpants, the glistening drop of precum on the tip a clear indication of how turned on he is.
In a matter of seconds, he wrapped the garments around his member, the beads of precum coating them in his sticky fluids. The lace was now stained with a darker shade of red from his essence. GD's moans and groans escaped freely from his lips, not caring who heard and knowing it only added to the enjoyment for his audience. "You naughty little thing, sending me these. Is it a turn on for you to see my cum all over them?" His words were pure filth, nothing compared to what you experienced on his livestream.
Ring, Ring, Ring.
Your phone alarm startles you, and you see that it's already 10:30 PM. You know you should be asleep by now; tomorrow morning will be a nightmare if you don't get enough rest. You quickly turn off your alarm and shut down your laptop, getting ready for bed even though you feel the dampness between your legs.
Tumblr media
Days had passed since everything happened, but the memory of GD still left you reeling. It was difficult to concentrate at work, as your mind would often drift to those videos. They seemed to constantly invade your thoughts, playing over and over again. You could almost hear his voice, whispering vulgar words that would make even a nun blush.
By the sixth day, you couldn't contain it any longer. After a long day of work, you quickly took off your pants, desperate for some sort of release from the mental torment that man had caused. Lying in bed with your laptop by your side, you clicked on a random video - anything would do, as long as he was in it.
The video was dimly lit and he wasn't in his usual spot. Instead, the camera angle was from above. On the bed lay a sex doll, only showing its waist down with visible hips, vagina, and ass. Its skin tone was similar to yours, but much more artificial and obviously made of plastic.
GD appears, and for once he was shirtless. His muscular arms are covered in intricate tattoos, and he even has a slight belly despite being in good shape. The broad expanse of his chest is proof of his fitness. The blur on his face only added to the mystery of the man who had captured your attention. You couldn't help but wonder what he looked like underneath.
He hovers over the toy, one hand engulfing his already hard cock. His fingers trace the curves and ridges of the doll's form, like a sculptor admiring his creation. "Such a pretty little pussy," he taunts devilishly, as if speaking to an invisible audience. But you know his words are meant for you, the doll a mere stand-in for your physical form in this fantasy.
What is he doing to you? You can't believe how quickly your body has responded; your hand slips under the waistband of your panties, eager to explore. Your fingers tease and caress your slick folds, already wet from anticipation. It's embarrassing how easily you get aroused, but you can't resist the urge to pleasure yourself while watching him on the screen.
He grits his teeth as the tip of his cock brushes against the entrance of the toy, letting out a sharp breath before plunging in with one forceful thrust. His hips collide with the toy's, causing his legs to tremble momentarily before he regains his balance. With both hands gripping the sides of the toy tightly, his fingers leave indentations on its surface as he moves forward relentlessly.
He's no longer gentle or teasing, but instead unleashes his hunger with unrestrained force. The man you saw on the live stream days ago is a far cry from the one in front of you now. His heavy breathing devours your thoughts, leaving you helpless. Your hand movements become more frantic, mirroring his fervent intensity. A shudder courses through you as he speaks through ragged breaths, "Fuck…you're squeezin' me so tight, dirty slag."
GD thrust ruthlessly into the toy, causing a slight bulge to swell in its plastic material. His impressive size stretched the toy to its limits, leaving a gaping hole each time he pulled back before slamming back in with a wet squelch. It was the kind of rough pleasure that could leave one sore and unable to walk the next day. GD slows down, letting out a frustrated grunt as he crawls onto the bed, his knees sinking into the soft mattress. He needs more pressure and better leverage to reach his peak. His large hands squeeze the toy firmly, as if trying to squeeze every last bit of pleasure from it.
His body stirs once more, this time with a slower and deeper thrust that hits at the core. If it were you the tip of his manhood would press against your cervix, it makes you wonder what it would feel like to have him inside you. You can see his expertise as he handles the toy, using his body like a skilled tool. A pleasurable tingle travels up your spine and you instinctively lift your hips to meet your fingers, which are now swirling delicious circles on your eager pearl.
GD's movements are precise and well-practiced, a result of countless experiences. He knows exactly what he's doing and how to bring himself to climax. If the toy in his hand were a real person, If it was you he would have you writhing under him within just three thrusts.
Tumblr media
But you are not like him; your endurance is weak compared to his, like a small pool trying to withstand crashing waves. As your legs shake with the strain and a shattered gasp escapes your lips, you continue to stimulate yourself with determined fingers. Finally, your orgasm hits like a flood breaking through a dam, causing your walls to clench and release around nothing. Sweat beads on your skin as you take deep breaths, trying to calm down from the intense pleasure.
You take a moment to close your eyes and savor the intense pleasure coursing through your body. It was the most satisfying orgasm you’ve ever experienced, all thanks to a man whose face you’ve never seen, but whose dick is the only thing on your mind. A deep growl from the screen catches your attention and you open your eyes to watch. GD is still going strong, his stamina seemingly endless. His movements become erratic and uncoordinated as he nears his own climax. He no longer holds onto the toy, instead using his hands to support himself on the bed while he reaches orgasm. His moans are loud and intense, sending shivers down your spine as you feel them reverberate inside of you.
With a sudden burst of energy, he reaches his peak and releases thick ropes of cum inside the doll. The warm liquid fills it to the brim, and he can feel it pulsating against his skin. He pulls out, but the sensation lingers, and he continues to paint the outer skin with his spunk. The doll's previously pristine exterior is now marked by his seed and a pool of semen slowly seeping from the abused holes. His breaths come in ragged gasps as he finishes, though not quite completely spent from his intense encounter with the doll.
You couldn't look away, even as he continued with renewed energy after his earlier release. The arousing feeling in your gut resurfaced, but you were already drained, giving everything you had. You sit up and reach for the screen to close it for the night when a message from the community page catches your eye, posted by GD.
“Top Donator next stream gets a private show.”

Us Again
Tumblr media
Sam Winchester x Reader
Needing help on a case you're forced to call in the Winchesters. You never thought it'd end with you and Sam finding your way back together.
It's like 90% smut
The solid wall connecting with your back knocked every ounce of breath from your lungs. You groaned and rolled onto your hands and knees, struggling to get air. You heard Sam and Dean both shout your name and saw the creature moving towards you. You grabbed your discarded machete and pushed yourself to your feet, eyes on the monster you yelled “GET THE KIDS. I GOT THIS”
This thing was something new, none of you had run across it which was why you'd called the Winchesters in to begin with. It was taking kids, feeding off their youth. You were hoping decapitation would do the trick. You flipped the long blade in your hand and waved a hand at it “C'mon then ugly. I don't got all night”

Tumblr media
You winced a bit as you followed Dean into the door of their hotel room. Yours was adjoining and you'd left the door unlocked between your rooms. Dean eyed you as he dug a first aid kit out considering he'd gotten a slice across the arm and Sam had gotten caught across his left shoulder.
“How ya feeling?” He asked and you nodded “Right as rain Winchester. Now sit down and let me see about that arm” you glanced back at Sam “and I need to check your shoulder too” Sam gave a sharp nod, lowering himself into a chair at the table opposite Dean.
—-----------------
You hadn't wanted to call them in, years had passed since you hunted with them. The last time had been about a year after you and Sam broke up. You could feel his gaze on your back as you began cleaning the wound on Dean's arm. It wasn't too awfully deep but it might do for a stitch or two just to make sure it stayed closed.
You busied yourself with the task at hand in an attempt to ignore the memories flashing through your mind. You still loved Sam just as much as the day you'd left but you couldn't tell him that. Too much time and too much pain had passed. The two of you had only recently gotten back to the point of talking as friends. You couldn't risk losing him again or Dean for that matter because regardless of how close you were with the eldest Winchester he'd choose his brother every time.
You finished Dean's stitches and taped over it so he could shower then stepped back from him “All done” he nodded, his eyes flickering between you and Sam. The question was clear in his eyes so you gave him a small nod before turning to face Sam “Ok, um you're gonna have to take your shirt off for me to check that shoulder”
He met your eyes for a second then cleared his throat and looked away before standing to take off his flannel then slipped his shirt over his head. It had been a while since you saw Sam shirtless and christ he'd put on more muscle than before not that he was lacking then. You had to mentally kick yourself to not stare at his chest.
He sat back down, turning the chair so you could get to his shoulder. You cut your eyes at Dean and he was watching the two of you with something near amusement written across his face. Damn him shouldn't he be playing the protective brother at least? You and Sam had broken each other's hearts at one time.
—---------
You gingerly touched the area of Sam's shoulder that was sliced. It was deeper than Dean's but should only take a couple stitches. “Just sit still, I need to clean it” you nearly whispered before grabbing the wound cleaner.
Sam sat silently as you cleaned his cut. The feeling of your hands on his skin was nearly overwhelming. He was glad Dean had stayed in the room because this entire hunt had been hell on his psyche, from the moment you called for help he knew it would be. The kids you all hadn't been able to save, the new creature that needed to be added to the lore, the way he felt seeing you get tossed to how he now felt with you bandaging him up like old times except now you wouldn't kiss the area after bandaging it.
“You ok?” You asked once you started stitching him. He nodded “Yeah, I'm good” he felt when you snipped off the thread and taped over it like you had Dean's. The fingers of your right hand lightly teased through the hair at the nape of his neck and he sucked in a harsh breath at the familiarity that wracked through him. Fuck he missed you.
—----------
You weren't sure what had driven you to run your fingers through Sam's hair but it was almost as if your body had run on muscle memory alone. You'd heard the way his breath caught and your knees had weakened. You needed to get a shower and go to bed so you could hit the road bright and early.
“You can um put your shirt back on if you want” you spoke then began packing up the first aid kit. Before you could finish Dean's hands covered yours “Uh uh sweetheart. You took a hard hit one of us needs to check you over” you met his eyes and saw the unspoken challenge there.
Either you put you and Dean both in an awkward position by having to take your shirt off in front of him or you ask Sam to check you. “I'm fine Dean” he raised an eyebrow then leaned up to speak around you “Sammy why don't you go in her room with her and check her back out. If something seems broke holler for me but I think it's better you do it since you have seen her naked after all”
“You're as subtle as a heart attack” you mumbled then looked back at Sam who seemed determined to look anywhere but at you “I'm fine Sam really” he finally raised his eyes to you “Are you afraid your boyfriend may find out?”
You felt your face warm at his words. You and Marcel had broken up nearly a year ago. You hadn't loved him, hell you hadn't loved anyone since Sam. Marcel and you were still friends even if when the two of you broke up his reasoning had been “Baby you never got your heart back from Sam. I can't compete”
“I haven't had a boyfriend in a very long time, Sam. You want to check me out and confirm what I already know, come on then” you grabbed the first aid kit and turned on your heel. Before you made it into your room Sam was catching the door.
—---------
“Go!” Dean urged Sam, who nearly jumped out of the chair, to follow you. You were single? Why had you broken up with Marcel? You'd seemed happy with him.
He followed you into your room and watched you slam the first aid kit down on the table then start to strip your jacket off. He shut the door behind himself then was acutely aware of your actions when you slipped your shirt over your head and stood facing him clothed in just your jeans and a dark green sports bra. It took everything he had to not let his eyes graze over your body.
“Sam? Are you gonna touch me or stare?” You asked after a moment and he knew he had blushed lightly. He hadn't touched your skin in a very very long time and wanted nothing more than to but the thought of touching you only to see if you were hurt then the two of you going separate ways come morning hurt.
“Yeah, sorry” he said and you turned with your back to him, moving your hair out the way. Purple bruises had formed across your back already so he started at the nape of your neck with intentions to work down, checking everything.
—-----------------
Sam's rough fingertips started at the nape of your neck. His thumbs worked the base of your neck, feeling for any cracks and effectively massaging the sore muscles there. Your eyes fluttered shut and you bit down on the inside of your cheek to not moan.
Damn him he knew your body so well even after this long. He worked down further, kneading the flesh and checking across your ribs and spine to ensure nothing was broken, asking every now and then if anything hurt.
When he reached the top of your jeans he tapped your hip “Everything looks good” you swallowed hard twice before turning to face him “Told ya”
His eyes went from your face down to your chest and the realization you were still in just your bra hit you “Guess on that note I'm gonna shower” he nodded “Ok” neither of you moved, frozen to the spot.
—----------------
“Sam” you spoke his name in nearly a whisper and the next moment your lips were crashing against his. You were sure who initiated it but his hands went to your hips pulling you flush against him as your hands slipped around his neck pulling him down closer to you.
When you broke away to catch your breath the two of you stared at each other, chests heaving “Tell me you don't want this. Tell me to walk away” his voice was deep with lust and made your stomach do a flip “No” you replied pulling him back to you.
He groaned into the kiss before picking you up in one fluid motion. His hands hooked under your thighs so you wrapped your legs around his waist grinding down against him. He carried you over to the bed and laid you down gently before slipping his shirt back over his head and tossing it.
You worked to kick your boots off as he did the same. Once you were both down to jeans he climbed onto the bed hovering over you as he claimed your lips in a bruising kiss. You barely remembered his injured shoulder as you clung to him, wanting him as close as possible.  You loved this man with everything you had, you'd left because he couldn't say he loved you and it hurt too much but being away from him for so long had hurt too so you decided to give yourself this.
He moved from your lips, kissing down your jaw then to your neck when he sucked on your pulse point hard enough to mark you your back arched off the bed pressing your breasts into his toned chest. His hand touched your bra and he glanced up at you for permission. You smiled and pulled it up and over your head, baring your chest to him.
He lowered his mouth to your left breast, rolling the nipple between his teeth and you moaned loudly. His right hand came up to knead the other breast, the action pulling another moan from you.  He knew you too well. His mouth, the size of his hands, the tickle of his hair against your skin. Everything had your nerves in overdrive.
He released your breast then kissed down your stomach, stopping at the top of your jeans. “Tell me you want me” He spoke against your skin, eyes holding yours. “I want you” you whispered and his eyes shut for a moment and you saw him swallow hard before he nodded to himself. When his eyes opened there was that same hunger there but mixed with a need you felt in your soul.
He made quick work of your jeans and panties before continuing his path. When his tongue barely grazed your clit your fingers flew to his hair tangling themselves in it.
—---------------
Sam wasn't sure what was sweeter, your taste or the sounds falling from your lips. He knew what it took to push you over that edge and enjoyed feeling your body shake and you came on his tongue. He worked you through it until you pushed his head away. He leaned back from you, slipping a finger into you to replace his tongue. You clenched hard around his fingers, cursing lightly when he added a second and curled them up to hit that spot inside of you that he knew would have you seeing stars.
Your hands gripped the sheets tightly, the sound of his name being moaned from you was everything. He could feel when you were close right before you came, soaking his fingers and the bed under you. When he pulled his fingers out he held your gaze and he slipped them into his mouth, licking them clean.
“Sam, take your fucking jeans off please” you begged and he could feel his cock twitch at your words. He stood up and slipped his jeans and boxers off. Your eyes trailed down his body and he saw you lick your lips “I want to return the favor but fuck I need you inside me”
—----------
He groaned at your words “I need to be inside you” he replied climbing back up your body. When he reached your lips you pulled him into a kiss, rolling your tongue against his, tasting yourself on him. When you felt the head of his cock teasing at your entrance you clenched. He eased into you, both of you moaning at the sensation “Fuck you're so damn big Sam”
He buried his face in the bend of your neck, laughing lightly against your skin “I'd say sorry but I'm not” after a moment the pain of the stretch gave way to pleasure. You rolled your hips up to meet his and he groaned “Fuck baby” you smiled when he looked up at your face “I've missed hearing you call me that” he grinned before leaving a rough kiss on your lips “Hold onto me baby. I want to feel that pretty little pussy come around me”
—-------------
The only sounds in the room were skin meeting skin and both of your needy moans. Your nails dug into his forearms as he drove into you from behind. You were on your stomach, pillows under your hips to give him just the right angle as he drove into you. He'd already made you come too many times to count. You were breathless and could feel your body shaking but you were taking everything he had to give.
His thrusts were starting to falter and you knew he was close. Sam had always had a remarkable stamina and the ability to hold his own release in favor of pleasuring his partner but you needed to feel him come, to have him fill you completely. “fuck Sam. Please tell me you're close” you sounded wrecked, completely fucked out.
He moved the hair from your neck, kissing your pulse point “getting tired baby?” You nodded “I need to feel you please” he groaned at your words his thrusts getting harder and harder “Fuck I've missed you…I love you baby fuck I love you”
Before you had time to realize what he said he buried himself deep inside of you, coating your walls as he came. The feeling pushed you over that edge one last time. You knew every muscle in your lower body would be jello. When he pulled out you gasped from the sudden feeling of emptiness.
He kissed your shoulder “Gonna clean you up” you felt the bed dip as he stood up. A moment later he was back and you felt a warm washcloth between your legs. Once he was sure you were cleaned he discarded the rag and helped you turn onto your side.
He laid down next to you, pulling you over on his chest “Need anything?” He asked and you shook your head sleepily. “Just sleep” he chuckled and kissed your forehead “Get some sleep darling. I'm right here”
Tumblr media
The first thing you felt when you woke was the delicious soreness throughout your body. Christ, you'd forgotten Sam's stamina. You moved around but felt a strong arm tighten around you. Memories of the previous night flooded your mind. Had Sam meant it when he told you he loved you?
As if your thoughts got too loud he stirred behind you so you turned in his arms to face him. The uncertainty on his face seemed out of place after how he'd fucked you the night before “Why'd you leave me?” He asked and you sighed “I thought you didn't love me. You would never tell me you did and after a while that wears on you”
He closed his eyes for a moment and when he opened them the sadness hurt your heart “I've always loved you just after Jess I was just so afraid to lose someone again” “I never wanted to force you into anything” he nodded then smiled “I meant it last night. I love you, I've always loved you and always will. If you give this a second chance I promise you'll never doubt my feelings again. You're it for me. My heart is solely yours”
You were silent for a moment then smiled “on one condition” he nodded “anything” “You always talk to me about what's going on in your head, you trust that I can take care of myself and if I get hurt you try not to blame yourself”  “Deal” you nodded “In that case kiss me” “Yes ma'am” he laughed before pulling you into a kiss.

neighbors (Matthew Sturniolo)
pt. 1
I slammed the door so hard I was sure the whole house shook. My heart was racing, and I could barely hear anything over the blood pounding in my ears. I turned to Charlie, who looked just as panicked as I felt.
“Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god,” she muttered, pacing back and forth, her hands gripping her hair. “What the fuck just happened? Why are they here?”
“I don’t know!” I snapped, my voice shaky as I grabbed her arm. “I feel like I just saw a fucking ghost!”
Without waiting for her to respond, I bolted up the stairs, dragging Charlie with me. We didn’t stop until we were in my bedroom, and I slammed that door shut too, locking it like I was trying to keep monsters out.
“Are we hallucinating?” Charlie asked, flopping onto my bed and staring at the ceiling. “Like, maybe we’re overtired or jet-lagged or something?”
“Nope,” I said, sinking to the floor with my back pressed against the door. “That was real. Way too real.”
She sat up suddenly, her eyes wide. “This has to be a fucking joke right.”
“Yes!,” I interrupted quickly, shaking my head. “I don't know how, but i'm picking delusions over everything”
“What are the fucking odds?” Charlie asked, throwing her hands in the air.
My phone buzzed on the nightstand, making us both jump.
“Don’t answer it,” Charlie said immediately.
“I wasn’t going to!” I snapped, crawling across the floor to grab it. I sighed as I saw my dads name on the screen.
“What do we do?” Charlie whispered.
“I don’t know!” I groaned, tossing the phone onto the bed. “I thought we left this behind us. Four years, Charlie. Four fucking years of silence, and now they're just at our door?”
Charlie flopped back onto the bed and covered her face with a pillow. “We came here to start over, I mean I knew there was a chance but come on we haven't even been here 24 hours. and LA is huge.”
She wasn’t wrong. It wasn’t supposed to include the ghosts of our past but we knew it was a possibility.
Another knock echoed through the house.
Charlie sat up, her eyes wide with panic.
“It’s Matt.” Don't ask me how four years later I could still tell it was him just by the aggressive knocking.
We made our way down the stairs. I could feel the lump in my throat growing as I stared at the spot where I knew Matt was standing on the other side.
“I need to say something,” I said finally,
“Don’t do anything stupid,” Charlie warned, her voice muffled by the pillow she was clutching.
I grabbed the doorknob, my grip tightening as I took a deep breath. “No promises.”
I wasn’t ready for this—seeing them, hearing them, being around them again. But it didn’t look like the universe was giving me much of a choice.
I unlocked the door and swung it open, my heart pounding in my chest. All three of them were standing there—Matt, Nick, and Chris—and the sight of them hit me like a punch to the gut. I wanted to immediately throw up. They looked older, but the memories they brought back made me feel like I was eighteen all over again.
“I’m going to be straight up with you,” I said, crossing my arms and staring them down. My voice was steady, but it took every ounce of strength I had to keep it that way. “I want nothing to do with you guys still. Sure, we can do the friendly neighbor wave if we see each other outside, but please leave us alone. It took a long time to move on from you people, but we did it. So can you agree to that?”
For a moment, they all just stared at me, and the silence was suffocating.
Matt’s jaw tightened, and his expression darkened. He looked like he was about to explode. “That’s it?” he snapped. “You’re not even going to try to have a conversation? After everything—”
I cut him off before he could finish. “After everything is exactly why I don’t want to talk. I’m not doing this, Matt.”
Nick stepped forward, his hands raised like he was trying to keep the peace. “I get it,” he said quietly. His voice was soft, almost apologetic. “You don’t owe us anything. We won’t bother you.”
I nodded once, appreciating that he at least understood, but I couldn’t bring myself to say anything back.
Chris, though, was another story. He looked like he wanted to crumble right there on my porch. His eyes were glossy, and he was barely holding it together.
“Chris,” I said gently, but firmly. “Don’t.”
He opened his mouth like he wanted to say something, but no words came out. Instead, he just nodded, his head hanging low like he couldn’t even look at me anymore.
“Goodbye,” I said, stepping back and gripping the edge of the door.
Matt glared at me, his fists clenched at his sides, but he didn’t say another word. Nick gave me a small, sad smile, and Chris… Chris just looked broken.
I closed the door before I could second-guess myself, locking it again for good measure. When I turned around, Charlie was standing at the top of the stairs, her arms wrapped around herself like she was bracing for impact.
“Well?” she asked hesitantly.
“They agreed,” I said, leaning back against the door. “At least, I think they did.”
“Do you think they’ll actually leave us alone?”
“I don’t know,” I admitted, my voice barely above a whisper. “But I hope so.”
I trudged upstairs, my legs feeling heavier with every step.
“Well, that was a disaster,” she muttered, throwing herself onto my bed.
I sighed and leaned against the door. “I don’t even want to think about it anymore. Let’s just call it a night.”
She nodded, sitting up to grab her phone. “Yeah, good call. We’ve got a busy day tomorrow anyway.”
I managed a small smile and headed to the bathroom to wash up. By the time I came back, Charlie had already changed into her pajamas and was scrolling mindlessly on her phone. I did the same, slipping into a T-shirt and underwear, and climbing into bed.
We didn’t talk much after that. The weight of the evening hung heavy between us, but eventually, we both drifted off, the stress of the day finally catching up to us.
The next morning, I woke to the sound of my alarm blaring from under my pillow. Groaning, I smacked the snooze button and sat up, rubbing the sleep from my eyes.
“Time to adult,” Charlie mumbled groggily from her makeshift bed on the floor.
“Yup,” I replied, stretching before sliding out of bed.
We both moved like zombies as we rummaged through our suitcases, pulling out shorts, tank tops, and sneakers. It felt surreal, living out of luggage in our new house, but today was the first step toward making it feel like home.
Once we were dressed, I threw my hair into a messy bun, and Charlie braided hers. After a quick debate over whether we needed coffee or breakfast first, we grabbed our bags and headed downstairs.
“Ready to spend way too much money on fucking furniture?” I joked, slinging my tote over my shoulder.
Charlie laughed. “Oh, absolutely. Let’s make bad financial decisions.”
With that, we headed out the door, determined to turn our empty house into a home.
Charlie and I spent the entire morning driving from one furniture store to another, armed with a notebook, our phones, and an ambitious list of everything we needed for the house. It was overwhelming, but in the best way.
First stop: beds. We wandered through aisles of mattresses, testing them out by flopping onto each one like children.
“This one’s too soft,” Charlie said, sinking into a plush mattress like quicksand.
I laughed, bouncing on the edge of a firmer one. “This one feels like sleeping on a rock.”
Eventually, we both settled on medium-firm queen mattresses, each picking out sleek platform bed frames to go with them. Delivery was arranged for later in the day, and we left the store feeling accomplished.
Next, we tackled the living room. Finding a couch was no easy task; we debated over colors, fabrics, and styles for nearly an hour.
“Gray is practical, but boring,” Charlie argued, running her hand over a plush sectional.
“Yeah, but white will be a nightmare to clean,” I countered, pointing at a gorgeous cream-colored sofa.
After much deliberation, we compromised on a deep navy-blue sectional with matching throw pillows. It was stylish but durable, and more importantly, it was in stock for delivery.
For the dining room, we agreed on a rustic wood table that could seat six, just in case we had company. We added sleek black chairs to modernize the look and splurged on a statement light fixture shaped like intertwined gold rings.
Decor shopping was the most fun. We wandered through aisles of wall art, throw blankets, lamps, and knick-knacks, tossing anything we loved into the cart. Charlie insisted on a funky cactus-shaped lamp for her room, while I fell in love with a vintage-style gold mirror for the entryway.
By the end of the day, we had a truckload of smaller items packed into the U-Haul we’d rented for the week. The larger pieces beds, couches, and the dining set were delivered earlier in the day.
As I pulled into the driveway, Charlie let out a sigh of relief. “I don’t want to step foot in another furniture store for at least a month.”
“Same,” I agreed, climbing out of the truck. “But hey, at least we’re one step closer to having a real home.”
Unloading the truck was a workout, but by the time we were done, the house was starting to feel less like a shell and more like ours.
After hours of unpacking boxes and assembling furniture, the house was starting to come together. Charlie was in the living room, arranging throw pillows on the new navy-blue sectional, while I wrestled with the gold mirror I’d bought for the entryway.
As I stepped back to admire my handiwork, a thought struck me. “Wait,” I said, turning to Charlie. “We forgot TVs.”
Charlie froze, a pillow still in her hands. “Oh my god, you’re right. How did we miss that?”
I groaned, rubbing my temples. “We can’t live without TVs. What are we supposed to do, stare at the wall all night?”
Charlie laughed, tossing the pillow onto the couch. “Okay, let’s take a break. I’m starving anyway. Dinner first, then Best Buy?”
“Deal,” I said, already grabbing my purse.
We decided on a small Mexican place nearby, where we devoured tacos and chips with queso, brainstorming where to put the TVs in the house.
“We’ll need one in the living room, obviously,” Charlie said, wiping her hands on a napkin.
“And one for my room,” I added.
“Same,” Charlie agreed.
After dinner, we headed to Best Buy. The bright lights and endless rows of electronics made my tired brain feel even more overwhelmed, but we quickly found the TV section.
“This one’s huge,” Charlie said, pointing at an 85-inch screen.
“Absolutely not,” I laughed. “We’re not turning the living room into a movie theater.”
After some back and forth, we settled on a 75-inch TV for the living room and two 50-inch TVs for our bedrooms. As we were checking out, something else caught my eye—a sleek silver macbook pro that seemed perfect for editing videos.
“I’ve been needing a new laptop anyway, I've had the same one since senior year… of highschool” I said, holding it up for Charlie to see.
“Do it,” she encouraged.
With our cart loaded, we left Best Buy and made our way back to the house.
“This is starting to feel like a full-time job,” I joked as we unloaded the car.
Charlie laughed. “But it’ll be worth it when we’re sitting in our perfectly decorated house, watching our perfectly mounted TVs.”
“True,” I said, smiling. “Now let’s get to work.”
Charlie and I stood in the driveway, glaring at the enormous box containing the 75-inch TV. It was heavier than it looked, and we had already tried—and failed—to maneuver it into the house twice.
“This thing is impossible,” Charlie groaned, wiping her forehead with the back of her hand.
“I didn’t think we’d need a forklift just to get a TV inside,” I muttered, trying to catch my breath.
As we were about to attempt another lift, I heard a car door close. Looking up, I saw Nick stepping out of an Uber in front of the house next door. His gaze landed on us immediately, and I saw his eyebrows rise in amusement.
“Need some help?” he called, walking toward us with his hands shoved in his hoodie pockets.
Charlie and I froze.
“Pros and cons?” I whispered to her.
Charlie nodded, leaning closer. “Pro: We get the TV inside without breaking it or ourselves. Con: We owe him for helping, and this might be the start of the interactions we’re trying to avoid.”
“Another pro,” I added quietly, “it’s Nick. Not Matt or Chris.”
“True,” Charlie muttered, weighing it over in her head.
“Okay,” I said through clenched teeth, turning to Nick. “If you’re offering…”
Nick smirked, walking up to us. “I am. Don’t worry, I won’t charge you.”
Charlie rolled her eyes. “Just get it over with.”
Nick crouched, lifting one end of the box with ease. “Wow, you two really thought you could handle this on your own?”
“Just shut up and lift,” I snapped, grabbing the other end.
With his help, we managed to get the TV inside in record time, placing it carefully in the living room. Nick dusted his hands off, grinning. “Anything else you need help with, or can I call this my good deed for the day?”
“Nope, we’re good,” Charlie said quickly, practically shoving him toward the door.
“Thanks,” I muttered reluctantly.
Nick smirked again but didn’t push it. “Anytime, neighbors.” With that, he walked out, shutting the door behind him.
As soon as he was gone, Charlie and I exchanged a look.
“Never again,” she said firmly.
“Agreed,” I replied. “But…at least the TV’s inside.”
I stood on my bed, carefully pinning string lights along the edges of the ceiling. The soft glow they cast was already making the room feel more like mine, even though there were still half-unpacked boxes scattered around. I stepped back, admiring my handiwork, when Charlie barged in without knocking, holding a bottle of water and looking exhausted.
“Okay, interior designer, I think it’s time to call it a night,” she said, plopping down onto my half-made bed.
I glanced at my phone. It was nearly midnight. “I just need to finish this corner,” I replied, pointing at the last stretch of wall.
“Y/N,” Charlie said with a laugh, “you’ve been at this all day. And we still need to go car shopping tomorrow.”
I sighed, sitting down on the bed next to her. “You’re right. But I want it to be perfect.”
“It will be. And besides,” she added with a smirk, “we’re vlogging the car shopping tomorrow. Can’t look sleep-deprived for our subscribers.”
I groaned, lying back on the bed. “Fine, fine. I’ll stop for tonight.”
Charlie stood up, stretching her arms. “Good. Now, let’s get some sleep before we embarrass ourselves trying to pick out cars on four hours of rest.”
I laughed, following her to the door. “That’s probably smart. Night, Charlie.”
“Night, Y/N,” she said, heading to her room.
I turned back, taking one last look at the lights. They weren’t perfect yet, but they’d do for tonight.
Charlie and I stood outside a sleek, glassy dealership with the LA sun shining behind us. I held the camera, while Charlie grinned and waved dramatically.
“Good morning, everyone!” Charlie cheered. “Welcome back to our channel! Today’s a huge day because—drumroll, please—we’re car shopping!”
I spun the camera to face me. “We’ve been dreaming about this for so long, and honestly, we couldn’t do any of this without you guys. So seriously, thank you for supporting us and making this possible. We love you!”
Charlie leaned in, nodding with a big smile. “Now let’s go spend our life savings!”
The camera cut to us inside a brightly lit Jeep dealership. Charlie was practically bouncing on her feet as a salesman led us to a lineup of Jeeps.
“This is it,” Charlie said, her eyes locked on a bright yellow Jeep Wrangler. “This is the one. I can feel it in my soul.”
I laughed, “You’re not even going to look at the others?”
She shot me a look. “What others? Nothing can top this beauty.” She turned to the camera. “Everyone say hello to my future car!”
“This is amazing,” she said, giggling. We were flying down the Los Angeles highway test driving her jeep.
Back at the dealership, I filmed her signing the paperwork, flashing the camera a thumbs-up.
“This is insane,” Charlie said, “Thank you guys so much for making this possible. You’ve literally changed our lives!”
The next scene showed us at a luxury dealership, me sitting in a sleek SUV. “Okay, this one’s nice,” I said, panning the camera to show the interior. “But it just doesn’t feel… right.”
Charlie filmed me this time, catching my indecision as I walked between several cars. “Y/N’s being picky,” she whispered into the camera, smirking.
“I’m not being picky!” I protested, pointing at her. “I’m being thorough!”
Finally, we arrived at the Ford dealership. The camera panned to a line of Broncos, and my eyes immediately lit up.
“This one,” I said, walking toward a forest green Ford Bronco. “This is the one.”
Charlie zoomed in on me running my hands over the hood. “You’re in love.”
“Absolutely,” I said, laughing. “Do you see this color? It’s perfect.”
“This feels so good to drive,” I said, grinning at the camera.
The camera showed me holding the keys, looking slightly overwhelmed but excited. “I can’t believe this is actually happening,” I said, looking into the lens. “Seriously, thank you all so much. None of this would be possible without you.”
Charlie popped into frame, throwing an arm around me. “Big day for the besties!”
We stood in the dealership parking lot.
“This has been such a crazy day,” I said. “But we are officially car owners!”
Charlie bounced around me. “We’re going to have so many adventures in these things, and we can’t wait to bring you all along with us.”
“Don’t forget to like, comment, and subscribe,” I added. “And tell us—what’s your dream car? Maybe we’ll manifest it for you.”
“Thanks for watching!” Charlie said, blowing a kiss to the camera.
Charlie and I were both drained from everything, but it felt so good to see the progress. For now, we were done moving furniture, and it felt like we were finally allowed to just relax for a bit.
We ended up in the living room, sitting on the couch in front of the TV. I had my laptop on my lap, working through some edits for the next vlog. Charlie was just chilling next to me, scrolling through her phone and half-watching a Brittany Broski podcast. We both needed a break.
“Hey, you think we should just call it a night after this?” Charlie asked, her voice a little quieter now that we were finally winding down. “We can actually sleep in tomorrow”
“Yeah, I agree,” I said, clicking through some of the footage I’d been editing. “We still have to go pick up the cars on Friday, too, so I guess we can finish everything tomorrow and take it easy tonight.”
Charlie nodded, letting out a tired sigh. “It feels so good to have everything coming together, though.”
We sat in comfortable silence for a while, the podcast playing in the background, and I kept editing. My mind was already thinking about what the next few days would bring. We’d pick up our new cars, drop off the last of the U-Haul stuff, and then we could officially call this place home.
After what felt like hours of scrolling and editing, I finally closed my laptop and leaned back into the couch, my body feeling heavy from exhaustion. “Okay, that’s enough work for today. Let’s enjoy the rest of the night.”
Charlie smiled and stretched, kicking her legs up on the coffee table. “Agreed. Let’s just enjoy some time to relax.”
We turned the volume up a bit, laughing at something Brittany said on the podcast.
As Charlie and I relaxed on the couch, the podcast still playing in the background, my mind couldn’t help but wander. Thoughts of Matt flooded my head. I hadn’t really let myself think about him much since seeing him a couple days ago, but now that we were finally settling into the house and things were calming down, he was creeping back into my mind.
I tried to focus on the podcast in front of me, but I couldn’t shake it. The memories of the way we used to be, how everything went down, the way things ended—it all kept replaying in my head.
Without thinking, I grabbed my phone and unlocked it, the screen lighting up in front of me. My thumb hovered over the TikTok app for a moment before I tapped it open. I knew I shouldn’t, but I found myself unblocking Matt’s profile.
I scrolled through his posts, my heart hammering in my chest with each video I saw. Then, I froze. There, on his arm, was a tattoo of a key—engraved with our old dorm number. The same one we had shared in those months of college. The same number that held so many memories, the room he left me in. My stomach turned. Seeing it now felt like a knife twisting in my gut.
I kept scrolling, trying to ignore the feeling creeping up my throat, but then something else caught my eye. His most recent TikTok. Posted one day ago, The sound playing  “I haven’t seen you in a while, you know I miss you, babe. When you hear this song, feel flattered it’s about your face and how I miss it.” The words hit me like a ton of bricks, and for a second, my heart dropped into my stomach. It was like he was singing directly to me. The weight of it was too much.
I was snapped out of my thoughts when my phone buzzed in my hand. I looked, and it was my boyfriend Leonard.
“Want to FaceTime?”
I stared at the message for a moment, trying to calm my racing thoughts. I couldn’t stay stuck on Matt. Not now, not when I had someone like Leo. I quickly typed back, a bit more quickly than I meant to.
“Yeah, sure. One sec.”
I took a deep breath and silenced my phone before looking over at Charlie. She was busy scrolling through her own feed, completely oblivious to the mess going on in my head.
I felt a twinge of guilt for letting Matt back in, even in my thoughts, but I couldn’t stop myself.
But for now, I pushed it aside, grabbed my phone, and clicked the FaceTime button for Leo.

Hi! Saw that your requests were open and wondered if you’d do something with Steve Harrington and reader where it’s based on season 4 and reader is catching the looks Steve and Nancy give each other so she confronts him and he reassures her there’s nothing going on?
only you
pairing: steve harrington x f! reader
a/n: I LOVE STEVE!! this was rlly fun to write :33 this request is so cute i love him eek!! also this is kind of inspired by the song ‘only you’ by yazoo bc i love that song heheh
Tumblr media
it had been a rough few days. the kind of rough that made steve wish he could crawl under his bedcovers and stay there until the world decided to stop falling apart. but hiding wasn't an option when the upside down was causing havoc in hawkins again, and certainly not when nancy was back in his life, running headfirst into danger just like old times.
you had been a solid presence throughout the ordeal, offering reason when everyone else seemed ready to unravel. steve always appreciated you more than he could ever put into words. you were his rock, his anchor in the storm, and he knew he was the luckiest guy in the world to have you by his side.
tonight, the group had gathered in the wheeler basement, trying to piece together the story of the latest victim that vecna had left for them. nancy was flipping through her notebook, scribbling notes furiously, while steve tried to keep up with the conversation. he glanced over at her a few times, mostly out of habit. they had been through so much together that it was hard not to look back on those memories with a tinge of nostalgia.
but he didn’t realize how it must have looked to you.
you were sitting on the other side of the room, comforting el, whilst trying to focus on max’s recount of her latest vision, but your eyes kept drifting to steve and nancy. every stolen glance, every shared look between them, sent a pang of insecurity through your heart. you knew they had history - everyone did. but seeing them together again, working so closely, it made you wonder if maybe that history wasn't as buried as you hoped.
later, after the meeting had dispersed and everyone was heading home, you and steve walked to his car in silence. the quiet stretched uncomfortably between you, filled with words unsaid.
"hey," steve finally broke the silence as he unlocked the car. "y’okay?"
you nodded, but your expression betrayed you. steve could see the worry etched across your face. he gently touched your arm, stopping you before you could climb into the passenger seat.
"what's wrong?" he asked, his voice soft and full of concern.
you took a deep breath, looking up at him with eyes that threatened to spill over with tears. "i saw the way you were looking at nancy tonight," you admitted, your voice barely above a whisper. "and... and the way she was looking at you."
steve's eyes widened in surprise, and then softened with understanding. he stepped closer, cupping your face in his hands. "hey, no," he said gently. "there’s nothing going on between me and nancy. we’re just trying to figure all this out, just like everyone else."
"but you have a history with her," you whispered, looking away. "and i can't help but feel like, like maybe you still have feelings for her."
steve's heart ached at the sight of your distress. he tilted your chin up so you would look at him, his gaze steady and sincere. "listen to me," he said firmly. "nancy and i... we had our time, but it’s over. i care about her as a friend, and that's it. you’re the one i’m with now. you’re the one i want to be with."
he pressed his forehead against yours, closing his eyes. "you’re my present and my future," he whispered. "i love you. only you."
you closed your eyes too, feeling the warmth of his words seep into your heart. "promise?" you asked, your voice small and vulnerable.
steve pulled back just enough to look into your eyes, his expression full of love and determination. "i promise," he said. "i’m all in, with you. and I’m not going anywhere."
you let out a shaky breath, a smile breaking through the lingering doubt. "okay," you whispered.
steve leaned in and kissed you, slow and sweet, pouring all his reassurance and love into that kiss. when he pulled back, he rested his forehead against yours again, a small smile playing on his lips. "no more doubts, okay?"
you nodded, feeling the weight of your worries lift. "okay."
with a final kiss on your forehead, steve opened the car door for you. as you both settled into your seats and drove away, the tension from earlier dissolved, replaced by a comforting sense of certainty. no matter what anything or anyone threw at you, you knew you had steve by your side. and that was enough.

Heeseung:
“Don’t be a pussy, fuck me harder.” Looking in the rear view mirror, your moans was the only thing that was running through his head. “Just like that” He couldn’t help but get hard at the sight of your footprint on his window, you had texted him about how you ‘needed a good fuck’ which caused him to cave and pull up to your house, you both couldn’t even make it to the dorms so you pulled over in some random parking lot and hopped into the backseat. He came at you like a starved man, ever since you two broke up he has been having a hard time getting over you. Being with you was the only thing that made him happy, but now that he can’t have that. Being used by you was the best option. “No one’s dick is as good as your- fuck.”
Jay:
“What’s that?” The girl from the bar asked refuting to your footprint that had been left just a millimeter away from the bottom of the window, “It’s nothing, don’t worry about it.” he unlocked the car as the girl sat in the passenger’s side. “Listen I have way more respect for myself than to just be a quick fuck so i’m leaving.” Shutting the door behind her he couldn’t help but stare at the footprint, the way he was deep in your dripping cunt when you made that mark. “Jay, you fuck so good. Better than Heese-.” “Don’t finish that sentence.” Without realizing he started his car and started to drive to your house, he couldn’t live without you. He knows that you aren’t his anymore but that doesn’t mean that he doesn’t love you with every inch of his heart, every time he fucks you he hopes that you notice that spark that you got the first time you made love and get back with him.
Jake:
“S-so close, k-keep fuck-ing me like that.” Your nails dug into his back as your feet rested against the window and he pounded into you harder and harder, “Such a fucking tight cunt.” fucking into you deeper he whispered in your ear “Only I can fuck you this good.” Washing his car those memories of the other night was infused in his veins, he wanted to relive that moment and be with you for the rest of his life. The employee walked over to him, “Need help?” he shook his head at her “No thanks.” she inched closer to the car. “That from your girlfriend?” He knew what she was talking about yet acted clueless causing her to point at your footprint from the inside of the car, he shook his head once more. “Well whoever that was, let’s just say if I was someones fuck buddy I wouldn’t let some guy that didn’t mean anything to me, fuck me in the back of his car.” Her words ran through his head making him not be able to sleep that night, do you still want him like he wants you?
Sunghoon:
Walking to his car his co worker opened the passengers side and sat down, buckling up and waited for him to get in the car. “Thanks again, i really appreciate it.” She thanked him as he replied “Oh it’s nothing, honestly. Where do you live again?” “Just down the road.” she said pointing to the street away from their work. As he started the car she turned to him then out of the corner of her eye saw a smudged footprint, “Watch little kids?” his face was filled with confusion “No? Why?” pointing with her thumb she pointed to it as he looked in the rear view mirror. “Oh, yeah, m-my cousin.” She nodded and looked out the window, “Hoonie, you fuck me so good.” his fingers ran through your hair as he admired your features. Looking at you like you are the princess of his dreams, yet the ‘princess’ is laying down in his back seat being fucked like a slut. “So fucking gorgeous.” Dropping her off she waved at him as he got back onto the main roads, he wanted to just drive straight to your house but knew he couldn’t. He wanted you so bad. Needs you.
Sunoo:
Desperation filled within his body as he teased his tip at your entrance, one of your legs was propped up above his shoulder while you placed the other on the ledge of the window. “S-Sunoo please, nee-d you so bad.” A smirked formed on his lips, “God I love it when you beg for me.” “Hello, earth to Sunoo.” Jake waved his hand in front of his face as the girl in front of him looked confused, “She asked you a question.” he turned towards the girl “Are you single? Because if you are we can have some fun in your car later.” she said winking at him. “He is single.” Jake said as he nudged him, “Bu-” cutting him off she spoke again “Great, give me your phone so th-” he shook his head “I have a girl, see that footprint? It’s from her. You know when i fucked her in my car, plus she is way better looking than some slut begging for dick on the side of a restaurant. Let’s go Jake.” Jake stood there in shock making Sunoo drag him to the passengers side, hopping in he asked “Y/n?” he nodded as he looked down.
Jungwon:
“Fuck Y/n your cunt is dripping.” He said as his fingers ran through your glistening pussy, then brung his fingers up to his youth and tasted your juices. Moaning at the taste he swore he could’ve came just from the taste of your slick on his tongue. He swore at that moment as the memories of last night filled his mind, he could taste your cunt at that moment. He had gone to the bar with the members as their way to cheer him up from the breakup, a girl walked up to them as she placed her hand on Jungwon’s shoulder. Making conversations with them, “I’m gonna head out, just wanna sleep.” as she walked out of the building while following him to his car. “Where are we going?” She asked as they stopped in front of his car “I’m going home.” leaning in closer he could smell the alcohol leaking from her mouth, “Thought we should have some fun.” he shook his head while pointing at your footprint. “This, is from my lovely girlfriend so if you will excuse me.”

Mingi x female reader
Word Count: 5.1k
Another night. It’s all your current life was. The same night one after the other, forever chasing the feeling of the euphoria you once felt for life itself. Your enthusiasm was stripped from your precious center with only your mortal shell left in its wake. It was like you weren’t even alive, just simply letting the hours tick by as you tried your best to seem present in the moment, even though that was the furthest thing from the truth.
As you finished applying your gloss, you heard your phone vibrate. When you picked it up, a notification from your group chat flashed on your lock screen. Before opening the message, you looked outside your bedroom window and saw your friend’s car parked near your apartment building. You unlocked your phone, texting that you’d be out in a sec.
Walking out of your bedroom, you grabbed your favorite pair of heels and gazed over your appearance in the mirror you had placed out in the hallway. You smoothed out the fabric of your dress, fussing with the material near your stomach. You looked terribly enticing, something you prided yourself on these days because it was one of the few times you could actually feel something besides the imminent numbness that drastically took over your mind.
You walked into the kitchen grabbing a few bottles of flavored soju to pregame with on the drive to whatever bar you guys were going to tonight. Grabbing your purse from the couch, you walked out of your apartment locking the door behind you. Strategically you placed the bottles in one hand and balanced yourself down the stairs by leaning on the handrail. When you reached the bottom, you inhaled a deep breath focusing on the cool night air that rushed through your nostrils.
Walking to the car you watched the windows roll down as your friends catcalled you on arrival.
“Heyy, sexy.”
“Everyone shut up, my girlfriend is here. Hey Y/n/n.”
You smiled finally feeling something similar to joy, an emotion you could only find a distant memory of. You could always sense it but never get a full grasp of it. As you plopped yourself in the passenger seat your friend Lorelei simply moaned from the backseat. You couldn’t place whether it was directed at you, from the bottles of alcohol clinking as you sat, or both.
“Please tell me you have a plum in your hands.”
“When do I not have a plum in my hands?” You turned your head around smiling while handing her the bottle.
“I also brought strawberry, didn’t want too much going on before we got in the bar ya know.”
Your friend Fay chimed in from the driver’s seat giggling while observing the interaction.
“Y/n is definitely planning on getting drunk tonight.” Your mouth hung open in disbelief wondering for a moment if you were that predictable. “And before you ask, yes it is that predictable because that’s the only time you wanna pregame, babe.” Nodding and throwing your hands up in defeat you cracked open the other bottle of soju taking a swig before Fay pulled out of the parking spot.
The drive down to the bar didn’t even seem real. The windows were slightly rolled down letting a distinct spring smelling breeze overtake the car. Music blasting and the three of you laughing about random events that happened throughout the week when you guys weren’t together. You almost felt like yourself again but suddenly, the buildings you passed seemed so distant even though you had been in this area what seemed like a million times.
You turned your head fully towards the window so neither Lorelei nor Fay could see the smile that you felt beginning to pain your cheeks fade, and your mask slipped for a moment. It was like everything was passing you in a high speed haze. All you could think about was how you used to feel and if everyone around you could feel the change in your energy these days.
Were you hiding it well enough? Were they getting sick of you? Would this be the last time you hung out before they realized that you were going through another period of change yet again? Did they want you around or was it all out of pity? Before you could think of other unreasonable scenarios, Fay pulled into a parking spot near the bar. You reached down between your legs to grab the soju before handing it off to Fay to take the second swallow of it. The three of you passed around the bottles until they were both empty and you let them lay on the floor in the backseat.
Getting out of the car you guys walked maybe a block to reach the building. The night air cooling your now hot cheeks. The pain you felt on the tail end of the ride was something on the back burner right now. Right now you felt like you were in your own personal music video. Feeling every possible sensation you could all at once.
You were excited to enter the dimly lit and humid building. A sense of relief taking over because you knew at least for a few hours you could feel something. As you walked in you were almost stunned at how many people had crowded in already. You weren’t sure what happened in the past few months, but suddenly a lot more people knew about this place. A significant amount of bodies littered the walls and hallways of the bar leaving you feeling a little more charmed by the entirety of the night you had planned.
You and your friends wormed your way to the bar and ordered your drinks, all three of you double fisting two plastic cups before walking towards the main floor where everyone was crowded at. The music was loud and you could feel the bass thumping throughout your entire body. As you tossed your first drink in the nearest trash can you began gently sipping on your second, careful to monitor how you were feeling.
As much as you wanted to feel something other than nothingness and you were well on your way there, the last thing you wanted was to have to deal with being sick. Completely defeated the purpose of why you were out in the first place. You could feel your eyes get a little heavy and started to become aware of you getting a little more touchy with your friends. You were lost in the fluorescent lighting of the bar and the weightless feeling that was overcoming your body.
Before you could truly lose yourself, you felt a certain need kill your vibe. Leaning over to Lorelei’s ear you spoke a little louder than usual trying to beat the music without demolishing her ears.
“I gotta break my seal.” She looked over to Fay and mouthed ‘bathroom’ before she nodded and you all went to the bathroom. You left your drink on the toilet paper dispenser as you slowly felt yourself become just a little bit more sober feeling a sense of relief somewhere within yourself. As you came out of the bathroom, you set your drink on the sink counter and began washing your hands. After you dried them off, you finished off your drink, throwing the cup away. Fay looked at you as Lorelei came out of the other stall.
“You good?” You nodded a little more smiley than usual. “Think I’m gonna get some water though.” You all wandered out of the bathroom and luckily for you, there were three open seats at the bar. You slowly sipped on your water knowing you were almost at your limit for the night but still wanting to savor that euphoric feeling.
Fay was looking at you like she wanted to ask a question so you raised your eyebrows hoping it would be enough to prompt her response.
“Do you wanna smoke tonight?” You thought about it for a second but realized even though the idea sounded great it would be a little too much for you to handle right now.
“I think I’m good for tonight, but if y’all wanna smoke you can. I’ll call you if I need anything.”
‘You sure?”
“Yeah. I’m a big girl I can watch out for myself. Honestly, I’ll prolly just stay here unless I have to go to the bathroom.”
“Okay, we won’t be long.”
“Take however long you want, I gotta sober up anyway.”
Lie.
That couldn’t be further from the truth. If anything that was the last thing you wanted because this feeling you so desperately chased would fade away. As your friends walked out of the bar you swirled the ice in your water, with blissful moments of fabricated peace rummaging through your mind. Before you could get stuck in your thoughts there was a voice that pulled you from your head.
“I see someone still doesn’t know their limits.” You turned your head a tinge of fear settling in your stomach, but that anxiety dissipated when you tilted your neck to see the tall blonde frame behind you.
“Mingi?!” You stood up wrapping your arms around him for a hug.
“What are you doing here? I haven't seen you since you left for your debut!” You had known Mingi since high school but you guys became kind of estranged as he prepared himself for his idol career. You’d touch base with each other occasionally but nothing elaborate came from it. And if you were being honest, you kept up with everything that happened even if it was from the sidelines. You had the biggest crush on him in high school but left it alone not wanting to interfere with his artistic endeavors. You had to admit, he just kept getting hotter and it was borderline painful watching him become the man of your dreams.
With his hair so short and dyed blonde, he had a certain edge to him that you hadn’t ever seen before. He commanded even more attention than usual and it seemed like he was relishing in his new look, a cocky overtone shining in his aura. You motioned for him to sit in the seat next to you so you guys could catch up.
It was slowly getting harder to pay attention to the words that were coming out of Mingi’s mouth, as you were distracted by the terrible beauty that was his face. You were paying more attention to the details on his face and how his muscles moved when he talked rather than the content of the conversation itself. You felt that haze wash over you again and a new feeling was overwhelming your body.
Your eyes were heavy again, you swirled the ice in your water with your straw looking at Mingi through your lashes, trying to hide your smile by rolling your lips around your teeth. Mingi paused his story as the bartender handed him his drink and his voice pulled you from your wandering thoughts.
“Y-You know you look incredible tonight…just saying.” You smirked at him, not dismissing the hesitation. You opted to brush off the validity of his statement by seeming unaffected but even a stranger could tell it stirred something up within you. In the dim lighting, you could tell his energy shifted and you wanted to see how far you could go.
“I see you’re still stuttering when it comes to the ladies.” You smiled knowing he’d try to defend himself, but as he opened his mouth you just held up your hand. “I’m just messing with ya, and for what it’s worth I think you look pretty incredible yourself.”
Chest puffed out and neck held a little higher, his timid nature was swallowed by something more arrogant. “Oh yeah, well what do you like the most then?” His smirk almost pissed you off but you were tempted with the excitement to insinuate something more. “Well I love the hair, but really I’m just a sucker for you.” You leaned forward nudging his shoulder a bit in a poor attempt to soften the blow of your honesty.
“C’mon, you’re just saying that cuz you’ve been drinking.” He took a swig of his drink not prepared for your reaction. You finished off your water and tossed it in the trash, newfound confidence surging through your veins. “Min, if you’re implying that I’m too drunk to tell the truth, I’ll have you know I’m still sober enough to remember everything by tomorrow AND this is the most honest I’ll ever be.” He laughed, his eyes scrunching and the echo of his sounds rang through your ears soaring over the music. His smile made flowers bloom in your darkest pits and you hated the feeling that was regurgitating its way up your throat.
That crush you had never went away. Why would it? He was everything you wanted and more. In fact, every time you had the chance to see him it got worse. Because somehow in the back of your mind, you felt you’d never be good enough for him or anyone for that matter. But fuck it. Why not pretend, even for a moment,  that you were? That you were worthy enough to at least get a taste of him.
You both stood up, your heels placing you at the perfect height to reach his ear. You shelled your hand around it and uttered a truth you previously were petrified of revealing. “And with that same honesty, I’m about to bare all my bones here. I want you in every way imaginable.” You stepped away, not wanting your heartbeat to give way to your anxiety. You needed to keep your cool.
Mingi’s eyes followed your body as you backed away, committing every part of you to memory. His pupils were blown but you were too far away to see. With an overwhelming sense of exultation and a devastating aura of lust, Mingi was in the palm of your hand.
He didn’t even respond, he just grabbed your hand and dragged you through the crowd of people, and led you to the upper level. Once you made it up the stairs, you were more than relieved to notice that the only people up here right now were the DJ and a few others looking over the balcony. While Mingi stared at the people hanging over the balcony, you swapped roles and you pulled him into the bathroom behind you guys.
You locked the door, thankful for the fact that the stalled bathrooms were only downstairs. The light was dim and seemingly on the verge of burning out. The bass of the music rattled the walls, the graffiti on them dancing with every pulse. Mingi pressed you up against the door, his frame shrouding you. Even though you were comparable to his height in your shoes, the way he was devouring you with his eyes made you feel incredibly small.
You looked up at him, eyes heavy with residual alcohol and blooming lust. Your hands wandered his upper body, finding haven at the nape of his neck playing with the hair that ignited this whole excursion.
“Kiss me, please. If it’s the only thing you do, I-“, he cut you off with his lips slamming against yours. It was messy and urgent, kissing you like you were gonna disappear at a moment's notice. His hands encased your waist, making you feel dainty in a way that you never felt before.
His hands ravaged your body, pawing at your skin trying to bring you closer in any way possible. His lips trailed away from yours allowing you the chance to breathe, but your breath was stolen just as quickly as he moved to pay attention to your neck and that special little spot right under your ear. Your body shivered and you unconsciously rolled your body into his granting you the knowledge of the growing bulge in his pants.
“Jump.”
You didn’t even give yourself the chance to think otherwise. Not letting any self-deprecating thought sour the moment. Your dress rode up as you wrapped your legs around his waist and his hands found comfort in squeezing the delicate flesh of your thighs. He turned both of you around placing your body on the edge of the sink.
“You’re so fuckin beautiful.”
It was a fact to him. He didn’t need to elaborate; he meant every word. His lips found yours again and rolled his hips into yours, desperate for some type of friction while he was slotted in between your legs. You pulled away from him, cupping his face in your hands trying your best to find sobriety so this wouldn’t just be a faint memory come morning.
Enveloping your lips on his, you were lost in the feeling again. That is until, you heard a vibration coming from the floor. Your phone. Reluctantly you pulled away, your intuition telling you it was your friends. Before you picked up you had a lie prepared. Reaching it out of your purse, Lorelei’s contact photo flashed on your screen. Swiping the call button you answered.
“Where are you??” You sighed amping up your fib. “I’m in the bathrooms upstairs. Wasn’t feeling too well.”
As you were crouched down hovering over your bag, Mingi saw this as a perfect opportunity to toy with you. He pushed himself off the sink and shrouded his body over your own, rubbing the sides of your legs before his hand trailed up your thigh and ghosted over your heat.
Your breath hitched igniting concern in your friend. “Y/n, are you sure you’re okay?” Internally trying to calm down your heart rate and arousal you found your voice.
“Yeah, yeah I’m fine. I promise. Imma just be a few before I come back down I’m s-sorry.” You almost could feel his smirk as you stuttered over your words. He picked up his pace, rubbing acute circles over your clit.
“Okay. Call us if you need anything we’ll be down by the main floor.” You hummed in response and ended the call as fast as you could, throwing your phone back in your bag. You wormed your way up out of Mingi’s frame and he followed your movements. You went to push on his chest but he was faster.
Backing you up against the sink again, he picked you up and wrapped your legs around him. He moved your dress up further so that your panties were exposed. His lips were on yours, urgency and heavy breaths being the only thing exchanged.
You moaned into him as his large hands palmed at your breasts over the material of your dress. Never did you think something so simple would be so restrictive. Your hands were back in his hair and you pulled away from his lips, dragging his bottom lip with you. Something reminiscent of a growl emanated from his throat as you wiggled the straps of your dress off, allowing your tits to be viewed in all of their tempting nature.
“I’ve wanted you so bad, baby.”
He moved his attention towards your neck, sucking a dark mark of him in memory of the moment he finally could lay his hands on you. His lips trailed down your body ending their journey as he wrapped his lips around your nipple. Sucking and biting gently at your sensitive skin as his fingers played with your other delicate bud.
You rolled your hips against his and you began to grow frustrated at the lack of contact. Snaking your hand in between your bodies, you tampered with his belt trying to get it out of its buckle as fast as you could. With the restraint of it falling limp against his pants, you undid the button and zipper and wormed your hand into his pants. Finally feeling something other than his lips.
Mingi’s mouth detached from your nipple,  moaning out something close to a whine just a little bit too loud. His breathing heavier, he looked up at you, his eyes blown black. His eyes were glistening with want and you stared back at him with equal intensity. Slowly adding more pressure as you palmed him through his underwear. Your lips found his again, biting and pulling away as he rolled his fingers around your nipple again.
Moaning out, you were suddenly violently aware of how your slick was soaking up against the fabric of your panties. With every move you made you felt the wetness between your lips become more and more unbearable. Pulling Mingi by his belt loops, you forced him to look at you.
“Mingi, please. I need you so bad I can’t take it.” He scoffed, letting his neck fall into yours biting at the skin. You didn’t care where you were anymore, your moans were louder and your desire was even louder. You needed something. Mingi’s hand slipped down underneath your dress teasing you through the fabric.
He began to kneel, separating your legs a little further apart. You felt his breath fan against your thighs and it sent jolts of excitement to your core. As much as you wanted to feel his mouth send you into various stages of oblivion, you were crunched on time and didn’t want your friends to start looking for you.
You threaded your fingers in Mingi’s blonde locks, committing the feeling of it to memory and you angled his head up to face you. His eyes were glassy with lust, lips swollen, and a faint sheen of sweat was cast on his skin. You were almost certain that if you were to turn around and face the mirror you’d look the same.
“As much as I’d love to have you like that, I’d hate for our time to be cut short. If I take too long they’ll definitely start looking for me.” Mingi rose back to his feet, his hands engulfing your face. His eyes told you he felt like this would be the only time he’d have you.
“We’ll have plenty of other times to explore that with each other.”
“Other times?” His brow cocked and a small smile began to pull at the corners of his lips.
“I’m not having you just once. I’ve waited too long for just once.”
Mingi’s lips were on yours in a flash and the passion you felt made you feel worshiped. Mingi tapped your thigh as a signal to lift your hips. Bracing yourself on the sink, he pulled your panties off and stuffed them in his back pocket. Removing his hot and salacious cock from its confines, he nestled his face into your neck biting at the skin.
You felt the head of his cock brush up against your folds and you whined and rolled into him. The anticipation being far too much to handle and left you more than needy. He looked up at you, features full of wanton mischief. He pushed his tip in, hand cradling your neck.
“Let’s make our first time one to remember then.”
Inch by inch he slid inside of you, the stretch of him feeling better than you could have ever imagined. As he bottomed out, both of you moaned out and kissed each other with equal fervor. His hips rolled at a slow pace, making you savor every inch of him. You were grabbing at every part of him needing more from him. You bit at his lip grabbing his attention, he looked at you eyes blown and heavy.
“Faster Mingi, please. I need more.”
Something about the desperation in your voice tipped something off inside of him. You felt him become domineering within a second but it was precisely what you needed in your current state. He slipped out of you and you whined out a tiny ‘no’ before he turned you around making you face each other in the mirror. There was a sort of sadistic and coquettish smile decorating his face as he reentered you causing you to moan out in pleasure—no time to moderate the volume of your sounds.
“You need more, baby? Wanna cum around my cock?”
Mingi threaded his hand in your hair gripping at the base so you could face him. Your brows were furrowed in desire, your breath heavy. You tried to find the words to respond but all that came out was a frenzied nod and your cunt occasionally squeezing around his length.
“Words, princess.”
“Please Mingi. Let me cum around your cock. Please move, don’t make me wait an~ah!”
If you begged anymore, there wouldn’t be much of a moment left between you two. His pace was unrelenting, your walls clinging to him like your life depended on it. “God you’re so tight, baby, fuck.” His head fell back in pleasure, his grip on your hair releasing and your head falling forward. You gripped the sides of the sink poorly trying to ground yourself as your knees weakened at the pleasure.
You raised your head, getting a glimpse of how completely fucked out you looked. Your face was flushed and tears were beginning to well under your lids from the overwhelming sensations you were feeling. Losing all sense of control when your eyes trailed up to Mingi.
“Oh fuck!”
You could feel a familiar warmth begin to pool in your core, your silken cunt sucking him even further inside of you. The music was still littering the building somehow adding all the more to the sensuality of the moment. You were brought from your thoughts as Mingi groaned and grabbed your wrists one by one bringing them behind your back. Lifting you so you were flush against his chest, this new angle had you stricken with zeal. Your walls were fluttering around him and you could feel your climax on the horizon.
Mingi groaned above you and the sound brought you right to your edge. You wrapped your hand around his neck trying to grab any bit of him. Panting you looked at him through the mirror, the sight of him something you’d know would plague your memory for the days to come.
“Mingi, I-I’m gonna cum!”
“Me too, baby, fuck. Where do you want me?”
“Inside Mingi. M-make me yourss~.” Your voice trailed off into a small squeak, too enveloped in the pleasure. Mingi moaned, his head falling back into the crook of your neck his breath sending chills throughout your body. “God, you’re so fucking hot y/n.”
Mingi let go of your arms and let you catch yourself on the sink. His thrusts were becoming more and more sloppy and you could feel his breaths quicken with each second. As he brought one of his hands down to your aching clit and brought you to your peak, the sounds that erupted from your throat were impossible to contain. The heat flooding your core finally exploded throughout the entirety of your body and left you in sheer euphoria.
“Fuck! Mingi! I’m cumming I’m cumming!”
“Me too, baby. Me too~uh!”
As Mingi lifted his head from your neck, you looked at him through the mirror still feeling the aftereffects of your orgasm. Pleading with him with your eyes your voice hoarse you sent him over his precipice.
“Cum inside me, I need it so bad, baby. Wan’ feel you.”
With a string of expletives leaving his mouth, you felt his seed spread throughout your saccharine walls. You milked him through his orgasm, watching him unravel in the mirror. The bathroom was humid now and the stench of sex filled the air. As Mingi pulled out of you, you felt his cum begin to dribble out, but before it could escape your pussy, his long fingers pushed back in as much as he could. Your messy cunt sensitive to the action.
Your body was tired, Mingi turned you around and cupped your face before he found his lips on yours again. The kiss was much less urgent than the ones you shared previously and you relished in the softness of it. Before you lost yourself in the kiss, you felt his cum begin to trail down your thigh. Pulling away you went to grab a paper towel, but he was one step ahead of you. Reaching behind him he grabbed the towel and wet a part of it, gently wiping up the mess on your legs.
Tossing the towel, he placed his hand under your chin looking at you with an intense softness. “You okay?” You nodded, a small smile crossing your face. As Mingi situated himself, you waddled to the toilet letting the rest of him drip out as you peed. As you got up to flush, you turned to Mingi.
“Can I have my underwear back?”
“Nope. Keeping it as a souvenir.”
“Seriously?” He nodded, lips rolling around his teeth obviously pleased with himself. You shook your head somewhat surprised by his admission. Washing your hands, Mingi was standing behind you watching your every move. It flustered you and you let out a small giggle to yourself trying to quell your nerves.
“What is it?” His voice made you smile to yourself and you knew you were in far too deep than you expected.
“Nothing, nothing.” Drying your hands, he came up behind you hugging you from behind.
“Tell mee.”
You turned around to face him, “Really, I was just thinking about you.” Looking up at him you wondered how you were ever gonna come back from this. Your mind was rattling with so many different questions and it was translating to your face.
“There’s a lot more goin on in there besides me, y/n.”
“This isn’t the last time we’re gonna see each other, right?”
“Definitely not. Was kinda hoping I could follow you home actually.”
Your eyes lit up elated that he wanted to spend more time with you outside of this moment. Picking up your bag from the floor, you fixed yourself in the mirror one last time before turning to grab the knob.
“Let’s go home then, I’m pretty sure they’re sick of waiting on me.” Before you could open the door, Mingi placed a quick kiss on your cheek and you bit your lip trying to lessen the smile that was about to spread. When you opened the door, the air was significantly cooler. Your stomach dropped when you saw your friends sitting on the bench near the bathroom and you realized the looming body behind you was in plain sight. Lorelei looked up from her phone noticing the light peak out from the bathroom.
“No fucking way.”

PAIRINGS: Tom 2014 x Female reader CONTENT: ANGST + FLUFF SYPNOSIS: During an argument Tom brings up something really touchy from the past as an insult, you're heartbroken and hurt from his words, he instantly apologises and tries to make it up to you. A/N: AHHH WARNINGS: yelling, !!!!VERY GRAPHIC MENTIONS OF SUICIDE AND A SMALL MENTION OF RAPE!!!!!!!!
Me and Tom were yet again in an argument, I got upset at him because he's been neglecting me, staying out late, not even touching me or holding me, nothing.
I brought it up to him this morning and it just exploded into an argument, him being defensive as usual.
"I'm so sick of you being so fucking controlling y/n!" he grunted, storming up the stairs. I scoffed and followed him closely "don't walk away from me Tom! You always do this, always running away when confronted with the truth!" I yelled.
"Because you take things so seriously! I just wanted time alone is that so hard to ask for?" he sighed heavily.
I grunted, him clearly not getting the point, "it's not that I don't want you to have alone time it's just that you're basically avoiding me!" I followed him into the bedroom, he was trying to find something to do to disract himself.
"Listen to me!" I grabbed his arm and turned him to face me, my eyes staring deeply into his, rage washing over them. "There's nothing to talk about!" he pushed past me, going into the bathroom.
I kept on yelling at him, following him into it, he turned around, hand on the doorframe and yelled "no wonder why your friend killed himself, he couldn't fucking stand being around you and neither can I"
My heart shattered instantly, the memories of my best friend killing themselves, him being in my arms as he died.
LISTEN TO TV BY BILLIE EILISH PAST THIS POINT I SWEAR IT MAKES A HUGE DIFFERENCE
6 years ago my best friend Arnie died, he was a gentle soul. He was gay and was heavily bullied about it, drowned in the toilets, food thrown at him, followed home. Arnie had learned to have thick skin, not allowing that to get to him, he knew they were just miserable with their lives and I loved that about Arnie.
The last straw for Arnie was when he was raped at a house party in 2008, the last time I saw him happy was when we seperated, I was hooking up with a random boy and he wished me goodluck. When I finished and tried to find Arnie, he was sprawled across a bed, bleeding from his back side.
I rushed to his aid and discovered that he was raped. Arnie was different after that, didn't insult back, was super quiet, didn't hang out with me after school like we usualy did.
I tried to offer help but nothing worked. One day I went to his house, he wasn't answering my calls or texts and his parents were out of town for the week. I found it weird that the door was unlocked, I went inside and into his bedroom.
I wish I didn't see what he had done, everyday it replays in my mind. I have nightmares about it every few nights.
I walked into his bathroom, he was in the bathtub, wrists on the edge of the tub, cut so deeply. I stood there for a second, shocked, trying to take in what I saw. After 10 seconds I screamed, running to him and holding him tightly, examining his wounds. 7 deep cut wounds, he was bleeding so much, the bathroom tiles covered in them.
My knees smudged the blood around as I held him, sobbing uncontrollably. "No no no..arnie you're ok.." I whispered, stroking his hair gently. He looked at me briefly, the life draining from his eyes "i'm sorry...i love you.." he muttered before taking his last breath, dying in my arms.
I screamed for him, my vocal cords ready to burst. Some neighbours called the police from my screaming, they came in and rushed to the scene, practically ripping me off Arnie.
"No! No no no! He'll be ok!" I sobbed, trying to get back to him, "ARNIE!" I screamed, the female officer held me close, stroking my hair softly, "he's gone baby...i'm sorry.." she whispered softly, I looked up at her, a tear falling down her cheek.
I buried my face into her chest, her vest cold and hard on my face.
They carried his body out, I couldn't bare to look and just stood there frozen. Later on the police women gave me a note he wrote, it read:
Dear my beloved Y/N,
I'm so sorry you have to read this, I'm sorry for even doing this. I know it's stupid and I know i'm supposed to have thick skin but I can't do it anymore, after what he did to me I haven't been able to eat, sleep or do anything properly, it runs through my head all the time, that memory of what he did never leaves my memory. It's driving me crazy Y/N, I wanted to stay strong for you, I wanted us to grow up and see each other get married, have kids, go through breakups together, live our 20s to the fullest, party like theres no tomorrow but I can't do it anymore. I wanted to be your best friend forever, be friends until we die, but I guess my fate is early. You know I love you more than life itself, you showed me it's ok to be me. You helped and guided me through everything but it's time for me to go, I love you and I'll be watching over you. Keep being your weird self and never forget me
Your soulmate, Arnie.
My heart was shattered into a million pieces, I still have that note to this day, I can't leave the house without it near me.
I got a tattoo of the last line, in his handwriting, 'your soulmate, arnie'. (inspired by evieskiess book my one and only <3)
BACK TO PRESENT:
My eyes widened, heart breaking into a million pieces, the heartbreak from that night coming back. My body went stiff, frozen in place. Unable to say anything.
Toms face instantly softened, he rushed towards me and started to apologise profusely, "oh honey no..i'm so sorry, I was just mad and I wasn't thinking straight, you know I didn't mean it", I looked at him, a stray tear falling down my cheek.
"Don't touch me.." I whispered softly, pushing him off me and walking to the bed, sitting on it. I bursted out into tears, sobbing uncontrollably, the tears unable to stop. All the pain I had tried to forget coming back.
He rushed to my side and held me tightly, "no baby..I'm so sorry, I'm so so so sorry" his voice thick with emotion, I could tell he was telling the truth but I was just so shocked, so hurt by his harsh words.
"Why.." my voice broke slightly "why would you say such a thing.." I choked out a sob, covered my mouth with my hands, they were trembling violently.
"I don't know..it was an in the moment thing, I didn't mean it at all, I'm so sorry baby I will do anything to make it up to you I swear, I love you with all my heart" he started to cry, tears falling down his cheeks as he buried his face in my shoulder.
My heart ached at him crying, I really wanted to forgive him but my heart just couldn't. I stood up and sighed, "I'm sleeping on the couch.." he nodded, standing up and brushing stray hairs from my face, kissing my forehead softly.
"I love you baby..." he whispered before letting me go, I turned my head to look at him and sighed "i love you too.." before walking off to the living room.
I sat on the couch, staring into nothing, my heart heavy and my eyes red. I rolled up my sleeve and stared at the tattoo, grazing a finger over it. I grabbed the note from my pocket and held it against my chest, laying back onto the couch, slowly falling asleep.
A few hours later I was woken up by soft arms wrapping around my waist, holding me close. I turned around, placing the note in my pocket and looking up at Tom.
"I know you didn't mean it baby..but I'm still hurt" I mumbled, he nodded slowly "I know baby..I know..i'm so sorry" he rested his chin on my head, stroking my hair softly just like the female officer did. I felt comforted, safe in his arms, again, just like I felt with the female officer.
"Do you want to go back to bed schatz?" he said softly, I sniffled and nodded, getting up and holding his hand, walking towards our shared bedroom. I grabbed one of his shirts and put it on, slipping into bed.
He smiled softly and slipped behind me, pulling me closer and wrapping his strong arms around my frame, keeping me warm and safe. "I'll make it up to you..I swear" he sighed, kissing the top of my head lightly.
"I'll be home more, I'll take you to band practices, I'll take you out with me, I'll do anything for you baby, I'm sorry I neglected you, treated you so badly.." his voice shaky "I love you, you're my world, my beautiful wife, my light. I'll do anything it takes to change, anything at all" I slowly turned around again, looking up at him, looking into his eyes for any sign of deceit, but all that presented was sincerity. Pure honesty. His eyes soft and gentle, willing to do anything for me.
I tucked a stray stand behind his ear, kissing him softly. "I love you..thankyou for that.." I smiled softly.
"I've always wondered though, why do you always keep his note with you?" he tilted his head, genuinely curious. I chuckled softly, "I don't know, it's the only thing I have left of him, something to remember him by" I frowned, tears welling up in my eyes again, "it's a reminder to me that he loved me and to keep going without him" Tom winced at my pain, stroking my hair gently and nodding.
"I understand..I'll keep it safe for you always" he kissed me softly, I smiled "thankyou baby.." I muttered before falling asleep in his arms.
E/N: I sobbed so hard while writing this no joke

Alastor x reader
FEATHER chapter III
Tags: fluff (for now ) enemies to lovers, kissing, being protective, cuddles, sleeping problems, flirting, possesive reader is an angel, fem reader
Tumblr media
He needed a new plan, something that would change her mind about him. He had always been able to enchant women, making them fall for him completely. Maybe that's what he needed now; since the fear of Adam wasn't enough, he needed something deeper – love. It was a strange word for him, when he tried to imagine it, all that came to his mind was a deep desire and craving.
Y/N was definitely one of the things he desired most throughout his afterlife, a gateway to freedom. Escape from the curse he brought upon himself.
The memory of her momentary outburst of anger made him blush, and his hand instinctively went to the ear she had touched.
He was not angry, her touch and closeness weakened his contract, unlocking dormant potential. It made him feel like he had a radio playing in his chest.
This cute angel had to desire his presence enough to bind her soul to him for eternity.
"Vaggie, my dear, how do you feel?" a cheerful radio voice filled the room. The fallen angel quickly scanned the room, looking for his spear.
"Calm down, sweetheart. I just need some information from you," he said, sitting on the other side of the bed, twirling a cane in his hands.
"What do you need, freak? And what are you doing in my and Charlie's bedroom?" she questioned.
"As I said, it's a matter of great importance, and I need information.
Speak before I wake up enough to kick you out."
"What does Y/N like? Generally, what do angels like, what do you find appealing in others? Why did you fall in love with Charlie?"
Vaggie needed to rub her eyes and analyze what the uninvited guest had just said. Why this sudden interest in Y/N? What did he want from her? She was an angel too, there must be something only Y/N could do.
"Listen, I don't know what you're plotting with that devilish smile, but nothing will come of it. She's an ANGEL, and a higher-ranking one at that. Why would she stoop to your level?"
"Let's say that majestic little angel charmed me from the first glance. So, what made you fall in love with Charlie?"
Vaggie couldn't comprehend this sudden alastor interest in love.
"I don't know if you'd understand even if I told you."
"So let me try," his tone sharpened with growing impatience.
I fell in love with Charlie because she was full of love."
This answer didn't help him at all, it even confused him more. Someone being full of love was the complete opposite of him, and yet, many had fallen for him before.
"I told you, you won't understand. She is an angel, she loves goodness, harmony, people ready to help and love."
So, he needed to become a lovely person. Nothing he couldn't do.
She sat behind the bar, helping Husk, occasionally lifting Niffty to dust the shelves, and with one wing, she created a breeze to dry freshly painted Angel nails. She was definitely full of love. Her long white hair tangled in the midst of these various activities.
Ugh he was doing it again, observing her from the shadows when it was time to act. He teleported in front of the counter.
Hello, everyone. What's with all the commotion?"
Charlie said she had a new plan to defeat the attack, so they were preparing for her speech - Niffty explained.
Alastor knew exactly which plan they were talking about, specifically his cannibalistic plan, slowly being put into action. Maybe if he suggested to the little angel that he killed Adam deliberately for her, she would fall at his feet?
Well, she would quickly flew back to the heavens. The death of Adam was no longer an option. A sudden, indescribable fear and shiver ran through his body at the thought. What if she truly left, and he never saw her again?
"Alastor." Snapped out of this sudden panic, he looked directly into bright blue eyes.
,,Alastor, you've turned pale. Is everything okay?" Her hand on his forearm made him feel better.
"Yes, don't worry, sweetheart. It's just a momentary weakness. You, on the other hand, need a little help."
She looked at him disoriented.
Remembering his last thoughtless move, he decided it was better to ask.
,‚Can I?" - pointing to her twisted hair.
Embarrassed by this fact, she turned around, trying to locate the tangle. Indeed, she should tie them up for cleaning. Long fingers in black gloves conjured a thin, decorated comb. Alastor began to slowly and gently untangle her hair, humming an unfamiliar jazz tune under his breath.
The atmosphere became quite specific and romantic, which Angel dust quickly noticed. Quietly, he grabbed Niffty's arm and signaled Husk to go with him to the exit. Some time ago, he noticed that Alastor behaved strangely in the company of his new friend. Especialy when he returned from work and caught him holding one of her lost feathers to his lips. Of course, he pretended to be too high to notice.
Alastor and Y/N didn't even notice that they were left alone, lost in their own thoughts. Y/N couldn't remember the last time someone had combed her hair, let alone so gently. Her attention was drawn to the sudden silence when the demon finished humming behind her. She began to feel awkward, trying to find some point of contact.
"I put a gift from you in the room," - she mumbled.
Alastor looked at her as if awakened from a dream - "Oh, that's great. You like it?"
"I like your touch too; it always makes me feel calmer."
"I'm glad to hear that."
Wait, what did she say? His touch always made her feel calmer. The only time Alastor could remember touching Y/N before was in the hallway when she was furious with him. The only direct touch he remembered.
Alastor swallowed.- "What do you mean, always?"
"Oh, you know, your little games with my feather. You know when you're sleeping with it, I also feel company in my bed ?
He didn't know what to say. She could feel that, every single time he kissed, touched, or bit that little thing, she could feel it.
"Y-you knew? Why didn't you just take it back?"
"Maybe I didn't want to take it back and stop you?"
For the next hundred years, Alastor wouldn't feel as embarrassed as he did at that moment.
Y/N looked at him with those pure eyes, clearly flirting with him. Was that enough? Showing some heart and affection to make an angel fall for you?
She leaned closer to him, their breaths almost touching, and he tightly gripped the edge separating them.
What could he do? No sensible answer appeared in his mind, and he couldn't just turn away or escape. So, he did something he always saw in those cheesy romantic comedies his mother used to watch.
Not knowing exactly what he was doing, he gently and quickly kissed her. It was like the first innocent peck in kindergarten, even though it was his first.

Unchain my heart: Part 1.
Tumblr media
Unchain my heart series. Logan Howlett x oc!fmale Summary: Mia Green has grown up in a lab, subjected to numerous experiments due to her status as a mutant. When she manages to escape, Charles Xavier takes her in at his mansion, giving her a new life and helping her regain her memories. However, the arrival of a new resident at the mansion threatens to destabilize everything she believed.
Warnings: Violence, foul language, a mix of various canons, X-Men movies, X-Men animated series, X-men comics.
Prologue, Part 2.
Part 1. When the man comes around.
“Focus, let’s go,” Charles’s voice resonated in her mind, like a calming echo.
Mia gritted her teeth. “It hadn’t occurred to me, Professor. Thanks for the advice,” she thought sarcastically. It was hard not to be consumed by frustration. Every time she failed, it felt like she was moving backward instead of forward. She took a deep breath and returned to her task.
The atmosphere in Xavier’s office was thick with tension. Mia sat across from the mahogany desk, her gaze fixed on the Professor. Her eyes burned with intensity, weary from battling against Charles’s interruptions. Every time she thought she’d won the battle, her concentration shattered.
Everything around her felt overwhelming—the students’ voices on the other side of the door, the hum of the machines, even her own breathing.
“How long is this going to take?” Jubilee interrupted from a corner of the room, her tone bored and slightly irritated. “It’s really dull watching them glare at each other in silence. Are we going to spend the whole afternoon watching them stare each other down?”
“You’re the one who wanted to be here, Jubilee. No one forced you,” Scott replied, crossing his arms and frowning.
“I thought this was going to be way more epic. Come on, two telepaths? I’m just hoping something happens. She hasn’t blinked in five minutes.”
Mia took another deep breath, trying to block out Jubilee and Scott’s noise. Their voices blended in her mind, making it harder to concentrate.
“Now that I think about it, what is she supposed to be learning?” Jubilee asked, looking at Scott. “Isn’t she supposed to be a teacher?”
Mia felt the mental barrier she’d built begin to falter. Scott’s storm of thoughts was on the verge of breaching her consciousness.
He shouldn’t say anything. It would betray Mia’s trust. Would she be angry if I told her why? She’s just a curious kid. Scott’s thoughts were a torrent Mia could barely contain.
With a sigh, Mia felt Charles seize the distraction to tear down what she’d worked so hard to build. Her mental barrier crumbled, and she let out a frustrated growl. Again.
“Damn it,” she muttered to herself, her breathing heavy and her fists clenched.
“Watch your language, Mia.”
She was on the brink of giving up, of telling Charles that she’d had enough, that she couldn’t take it anymore, and that teaching teenagers had completely worn her out, but she bit her tongue.
Mia made a decision. She gently touched the stream of Scott’s thoughts, a soft gesture, almost like a touch on the shoulder. Scott, recognizing the sensation, allowed her into his mind. It was something Mia always did: she asked for permission before intruding into someone’s mental space, a courtesy she considered essential.
Suddenly, everything was overwhelmed by her presence, her feelings, even her scent. Summers took a moment to compose himself, and though he was used to mental intrusions, he felt overwhelmed at first. He’d always been fascinated by how different her mutation was from Charles’s.
Tell her, it doesn’t matter. She just wants to understand.
“Mia arrived at the school at seventeen without knowing how. She had lost all her memories, didn’t even know her name,” Scott explained aloud, his words reflecting what Mia saw in his mind. “Charles has helped her recover some of what she lost, but there are still things locked away in her head. Even the Professor can’t access them. He’s teaching her to unlock them.”
“Wow, if she’s already omega level, imagine what she could do with all her memories. This chick is cool. Pretty scary,” Jubilee thought, her thoughts buzzing with a mix of admiration and fear.
“Jubilee, please. Don’t bombard me with your opinions. I’m trying to concentrate. It’s hard to block you out when you think so loudly,” Mia said, a hint of irritation in her tone.
“I’m not bombarding you with anything, Professor,” Jubilee replied, surprised.
“Of course you are. I’m not going to give you a harder test just because you know my past.”
Jubilee fell silent, trying to control her thoughts, but Mia could still sense the agitation in her mind, the fear and discomfort. It was a common reaction when others realized how deeply she could delve with her powers.
“I think that’s enough for today, Mia. You’ve held out longer this time and with distractions,” Charles said, his voice calm, but Mia detected a hint of pride in his words.
“No, I can do better,” Mia insisted, her voice filled with determination.
She gritted her teeth, closing her eyes tightly, her fists clenched until her nails dug into her palms. She felt the thud of her heart, the weight of her mistakes, and the desperate need to improve.
Charles tried to dissuade her, but Mia stood her ground, and Charles watched her in silence. This time, she decided to close her eyes, focusing on her mind. Mia knew her telepathic abilities were different from Charles’s—more raw, more instinctive. But today, she was determined to push beyond her limits. She visualized a glowing line connecting her consciousness to Charles’s, a line that shone brightly with energy. Resolute, she extended her awareness towards that line, trying to sense Charles’s mind beyond the barrier. She pushed with all her might, making her breathing rapid and a slight tremor run through her body.
Scott felt the urge to rush to her, to touch her shoulder to bring her back to reality and pull her away from the training, but Charles stopped him with a look, feeling the mutant’s progress.
The lights in the room flickered, and the onlookers were stunned. Mia had shown no signs that her mutation extended beyond telepathy, but when she concentrated too hard, the electrical devices around her reacted inexplicably for a brief moment.
With one final effort, she fell into Charles’s consciousness. A whirlwind of information and voices overwhelmed her. Everything was utter chaos, a maelstrom of data. She tried to focus on something, anything. She concentrated on the relationship they had forged and searched for herself amidst the storm of memories. And then she saw it. Fragments of her own past, distorted and confusing images. She saw a laboratory, bright lights, faces she couldn’t recognize. But what struck her most was the feeling that Charles knew more than he had revealed. There was hidden knowledge, a certainty in his mind that made Mia’s heart tighten.
And then, like a flash, a fleeting image appeared before her. A man with metal claws, fierce and wild. She didn’t recognize him, but the image was etched in her mind. She didn’t recognize him, but something about the image unsettled her. It was as if a part of her, something very deep and hidden, was reacting to that image. The feeling was strange, almost familiar, though she couldn’t understand why.
Before she could process what she’d seen, a sharp pain pulled her out of Charles’s mind. She opened her eyes abruptly, feeling a trickle of blood running from her nose. The effort had been too much, and her body was paying for it. But despite the pain, Mia couldn’t stop thinking about what she had seen.
Before she could delve deeper, a word echoed in her mind: “Weapon X.” It was like a flash, an echo lost in some forgotten corner of her memory. She didn’t know where that association came from, or why she knew that name, but the sensation left her stunned.
Scott’s hands were already on her shoulders, anchoring her to this world. His scent pulled her away from the sensations she had just discovered. She leaned more into Cyclops’s touch and let herself be comforted.
“She’s exhausted. She’s come too far,” his voice resonated in her head, and she cursed herself for not having gone further.
She was dazed, the voices around her seemed distant. It was strange that they were discussing her limits as if she weren’t there. She understood less and less of what was being said around her, a disjointed ebb and flow that made no sense.
Mission. Mutants in danger. Ororo. Magneto.
She felt herself slowly disconnecting from the conversation until she became unconscious. Her limp body alerted Scott, who tried to move her to see how she was doing.
Concern shaded his face as he saw her completely out of it. He shook her gently, but there was no response. This wasn’t the first time Mia had lost consciousness while training with the Professor, but it didn’t make him any less worried.
“Take her to the infirmary, she needs to rest,” Charles ordered Scott.
“What do you think she saw? The last time she ended up like this was when she remembered her parents.”
“I’m not sure,” Scott replied, but there was tension in his voice. He knew exactly what Mia had seen, but he didn’t know how it had affected her neural network. Mia’s past was a dark abyss that could consume her if revealed too soon.
Summers lifted Mia and carried her out of the office, suspecting that the Professor was hiding something from both of them.
...
Mia awoke in the infirmary feeling disoriented and confused. The room was bathed in a soft, warm light, and the air was tinged with a familiar medicinal scent. She slowly sat up, a persistent throb in her head pulsing with each beat of her heart.
She took a moment to adjust her vision. The room was quiet, with several beds and machines around. The sounds of the infirmary were soothing, but a constant buzzing in her ears hinted at something more going on.
A low murmur pierced through the pain that made her eyelids heavy. Her mind scanned the room and found it—a new thread of thought. As she focused on it, it seemed like a tangled skein of threads struggling to unravel. Even before she had delved into them, she could taste the pain on the tip of her tongue. She pushed that feeling aside and tried to steady herself.
Once she felt more stable, she stood up carefully, removing the IVs. She wasn’t sure how long she’d been out this time, but her muscles felt stiff, indicating it had been quite a while. She stifled a groan of pain and struggled to get up.
As she approached the other bed, her breath caught in her throat. Damn. It was the guy with the metal claws she’d seen in the professor's mind. Something inside her twisted with recognition, but she couldn’t place the feeling.
Maybe it was connected to her past. She bit her lip, debating whether to invade the privacy of an unconscious man she didn’t know or to wait and resolve her doubts once he woke up.
Weapon X. What if he was dangerous? She needed to find out. Although the professor wouldn’t have let him into the mansion if he believed him to be a threat.
She closed her eyes, and the tangled threads of thoughts and pain reappeared before her. Tentatively, she extended her consciousness towards his, ready to dive in, but a hand, gripping too tightly, seized her wrist, making her gasp in surprise.
“Where the hell am I?”
The mutant moved quickly. Now she was trapped between the bed and his chest. Her eyes caught a glint near her neck, and the metal brushed against her throat, scratching the area lightly.
Fear surged through her, and the lights in the room began to flicker uncontrollably. Logan looked around in confusion, not understanding what was happening. Despite the blinding headache, Mia projected a simple command into the mutant’s mind: Let me go.
The contact vanished instantly, as if she’d been slapped. She fell to her knees, still weak from the strain of the training. Her mind hadn’t fully recovered, and even such a simple command had taken an extreme effort.
She heard the door slam shut and let the darkness envelop her once more.
