#i just really feel the colette flanoir scene works so well

Thinking about that poll with the Flanoir scene, I do pick Colette (unsurprising) but I genuinely think the Flanoir scene between Lloyd and Colette there is so, so good for Lloyd's development and his own trauma that he has to deal with. We've gone through much of Colette's journey and what she's been able to overcome with Lloyd's help, and the Flanoir scene shows this in reverse, where it's Colette's words that help Lloyd deal with the fact that Kratos is his dad as well as on the enemy's side, and his own conflicts with wanting to understand Kratos more.

Much of the scene is exploring Lloyd's hangups and Colette showing so much patience and understanding, even pointing out all the good Kratos has done for them so that Lloyd isn't overwhelmed by his feelings. I always thought that was what Lloyd needed to hear from someone, and who better than Colette who always tries to see the good in so many people and is really perceptive in her own way? Everyone else doubts, questions or accuses Kratos in that scene, but Colette gave hope that I think Lloyd genuinely needed.

A lot of the other Flanoir scenes also has Lloyd having to navigate the other person's troubles and misgivings, or their own trauma. Colette however does the opposite, she's the one that gives Lloyd a helping hand and tries to lift him out of his doubts, or gives him a place to vent. It hits so good narratively and also how far they've come together ever since the infamous coffee scene.

And just, I have to pick that scene every time because it's just done so well and beautifully. It's such an important scene for them both and the growth they've shared together since the beginning.
