ouran high school host club fans, do i have the analysis for you…

im writing a comprehensive, large-scale analysis on the host club members, the anime, and the series as a whole (even diving into the manga)

currently it is sitting at 3k words and i fear im not even close to finishing it yet

my biggest rambling by far…

I finished this manga #Ahhhhhhhh I'm so glad I finally read it #You do not know how many times I rewatched it as a fourteen year old thinking to myself #'damn I NEED to read the manga. I NEED to know what happens with these dipshits'#The plot does just start throwing #I've been rewatching a lil bit of the anime on the side and maybe I'm biased bc I grew up with it #But compared to the manga it still stands up. I love how they rearranged a few things to develop the characters in the time they had #The manga just takes more time with it #They're both objectively hilarious #I do believe my sense of humor was forever altered by ouran #I've been losing my shit it's been great #Code talks

trying to divorce myself from personal bias here - I really think a Kyoya Ootori in 2024 would be openly gay and monetize it more than he already was….. with the numbers gays pull it’s simply the most logical choice

it is in fact so immensely cute to me that tamaki is so girly. like shes literally so cute. presented as the princely male lead but you read past that and its like she looks exactly like her mom and shes the one getting the typical shojo heroine doki dokis and shes the emotional heart/balm of the group and shes a tragic illegitimate princess trapped in a tower that has to be rescued by her prince charming and there are strangely deliberate comparisons to a trans woman and shes always looking for an excuse to get dressed in girl clothes and her whole arc is worrying about whether or not people will accept her if she acts true to herself rather than the mask she puts on omg! just go on estrogen already!
