#did you see all the white women thirst blogging about keir starmer?#i wanted to blow up the earth#white liberals making progressivism into celebrity worship and celebrity worship into progressivism is just#they all want a saviour and a hero to take away the need for personal accountability and the work of self-interrogation#i just know that it's the 'fiction isn't reality!!' and anti-purity politics white queers on here doing this#like fuck ship discourse and antis but the whole point of framing ethical media engagement into a this zero sum game about censorship#has always been a thin veneer for white racists to escape accountability and ethical and self-reflective engagement with media#that's also the point about making this behaviour into a white western-centric culture war between generational cohorts#white people and neoliberal identity politickers are driven by the need to deproblematize their personal moral landscape#establish innocence and distance themselves from complicity#instead of getting justice for impacted communities and victims and addressing structural inequality#it has fuck all to do with age and everything to do with protecting privilege and moral superiority over marginalized people#anti neil gaiman#white liberals#parasocial relationships#identity politics
