dodge mason… the cowboy that you are. i need this man more than anything. something about that man just makes me wanna be a sweet innocent christian country girl lol. this is much more cheesy and cutesy than my previous submissions, he just makes my knees weak fr (but also i need him desperately)

im attaching this (hopefully it works) cuz its exactly how i picture him here

alright, picture me this, youve just moved with your dad to this nowhere town in texas. you know no one here, theres nothing to do, youve already graduated high school before the move. its just summer, in a strange place, full of strange people.

maybe youre kind of a farmers daughter type? youve moved onto a ranch, your dad is really into rodeos and he gets you your very own horse. but hell if you know how to ride a horse that big. youd only ever ridden ponies when you were little. its sweet of your dad though, at least now you have a friend to pass the time with.

on one particularly hot day your dad decides that you should go into town a grab a cool drink and enjoy some shade. you settle on the cute looking diner, very fitting for a town like this. if you happen to notice the cute boy behind the counter you dont say anything about it. just steal a couple glances at him, maybe blush a little pink when ordering your shirley temple with an extra cherry. (tihi)

if he notices how pretty your flowy little sundress hugs your waist or sits on top of your thighs while sitting in the booth, he doesnt say anything either. he simply makes a mental note to find out your name, he's sure youre new, he wouldve remembered you if youd gone to the school senior year.

some time later he meets your dad at one of his rodeos (competitions? idk, i am not a country girl yall). spots him in the crowd, sees his opportunity to find out your name. they get to chatting, your dads all too happy to talk about you, his pride and joy. he happens to mention that youre wanting to learn to ride your new horse. dodge happens to offer his assistance. how can he resist an opportunity like that? theres truly nothing he would love more than teach you how to ride... a horse, of course :)))

when your dad had told you hed found a cowboy to teach you how to ride, you had expected another one of your dads friends. already made peace with the fact that it would be slightly awkward but ultimately worth it. but then he shows up, the boy from the diner. a cowboy, huh? definitely not what you were expecting. but hes wearing the boots and the hat, he certainly looks the part. hopefully he can play it too. (also i need him to call me darling and tip his hat, i need to have it)

you try your best to get to know him while he's teaching you, but he's not big on answering questions, instead redirecting them back to you. he does laugh, a beautiful, intoxicating sound, when you make a joke about his name being very fitting. dodging all your questions. (legit giggling to myself rn) he tries to tell you about the town, but he doesnt know much more than you, except this weird game he's heard people are playing over the summer...

he asks a surprising amount of questions about your life, you had pegged him as the quiet, stoic type when you first saw him at the diner. but this charming cowboy whos teaching you how to bond with your horse - because apparently its important for her to trust you before you start riding her - is a totally different story. when you invite him in for some fresh lemonade, hes chatting away with your dad about rodeos and all the places nearby he needs to visit. it wasnt at all what you had expected from him.

he starts spending a lot of time around the farm, teaching you to ride your horse, your dad inviting him to come for dinner, or really any excuse he can find to drop by. hes totally enamoured with you, he even feels a little guilty about it. youre so innocent and pure-hearted, he really has no business flirting with you the way he is. hes sure you cant even tell most of the time, that same sweet smile on your lips every time he speaks. totally unaware of the way his gaze lingers, eyes wandering, glued to your ass when youre wearing those damned blue jeans.

it takes you a long time to learn how to ride your horse, but eventually you get good at it. the day you finally succeed at riding around the farm without his help, you both dread that it might be the last time he comes by. but the next time he shows up on a horse of his own. tells you that he wants to show you more of the area, he takes you around, you talk for hours. simply just enjoying each others company.

the time after that you're already waiting for him outside, that morning you had gotten up earlier than usual, just to spend extra time picking your outfit, styling your hair, blushing your cheeks. this continues for a while. your dad starts to notice, youre acting like a little schoolgirl around him. dodge can tell, hes basking in it, he loves it. his compliments become more frequent and more intentional.

eventually your dad insists on bringing you to one of the rodeos, youre hesitant, youd rather not end up trapped in a long conversation with one of his old friends. but when you realize that dodge will be there, competing, you immediately agree to go. youve never seen him in his element like that. you make sure to wear his favorite dress of yours and style your hair just the way he compliments it the most.

its not like youre together, but you want him to know that youre there for him. to see him. and oh he knows. the second he sees you, he knows. ugh he can barely contain himself. youre standing right there, dressed up just for him, watching him in awe as he hang on tight to the rowdy horse.

need him to come out all sweaty and running high on adrenaline. picking you up and spinning you around, his pretty little thing, all dressed up for him, special for him. i need him to be so caught up in the moment that he put his hat on your head, kissing your cheek. luckily your dad had left with some buddies, because everyone at the rodeo knows what it means to wear a cowboys hat, everyone but you. you dont realize that hes staking his claim on you, making it clear to anyone who looks at you that you're his. not that you would have minded that part if youd known.

i need someone to make comment/joke about the cowboy hat rule, and dodge teaching you to ride, to which you enthusiastically, but oh so very cluelessly, mention that yes, hes been trying teaching you for a while now. but that youre only just starting to it right, something about it all being in the hips. i need you to look up at him confused when he just drags you away, mumbling something about that guy being an ass and promising to explain later...

TO MAKE MATTERS WORSE THEY HAD CRAZY GOOD CHEMISTRY AND I WAS LITERALLY SITTING THERE THE WHOLE TIME DURING THAT MISSION THINKING "Dang y'all make a good couple y'all got it goin' on" BUT NO OF COURSE NOT THIS IS CALL OF DUTY WHERE NO ONE IS HAPPY AND GOOD ENDINGS DON'T EXIST AND LOVE IS A LIE

I struggled for like fifteen minutes just sitting there on the pause menu trying to pick UGHHH but I ended up going with Helen in the end simply because I think she can bring slightly more value to the team (NOT TO SAY LAZAR IS USELESS HE'S EXTREMELY HANDY AND VERY COOL AND I LOVE HIM) just because of her connection with MI6 and her ability to gather intel and all that good stuff and I'm just ever so slightly more attached to her as a character and I also got the impression Lazar really liked her a lot so I would've felt worse saving him and knowing he missed her like a crap ton so in the end I think I made the better decision

HOWEVER COMMA THEN WE HAVE "BREAK ON THROUGH" AND I'M LITERALLY SO MAD BC WDYM ADLER WAS LYING AND I LITERALLY DON'T EVEN KNOW THE GUY AND I HAD A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT LIFE AND I WAS THE GUY ARASH KADIVAR SHOT IN THE BEGINNING IN THE MISSION WITH WOODS AND MASON AND ADLER LIKE WHAT?? Y/N closed the door behind her and sighed in relief. Finally she was off work. Her brain felt so fuzzy. She sat on the bedroom floor getting her phone about to text her girlfriend Rhea but she just looked at the screen.

She was slipping and didn’t know it.

Y/N felt sticky and gross. She went to the bathroom to shower. After she got out she dried herself off and she got an a big shirt and underwear. She started to bite on her fingers and went to look for her pacifier. She found a clean one covered in her drawer and put on Bluey getting her stuffed elephant and laying down. She felt safe now, like a breath of fresh air. But soon the little realized that she was hungry. She got off the bed and went out the room to get some snacks and put some apple juice in her sippy cup. She was humming the theme song blaring in the main room just carefree. She made sure that the cup was closed and grabbed some grapes and some crackers.

Rhea sighed pulling up coming home, she smiled seeing her girlfriends car. “Good she’s home safe. I can just chill with her.” She just got back from a whole day of rehearsals and practice with the rest of the roster getting ready for the next PPV. She walked in her house dropping her backs closing the door locking it. “Baby I’m home!” She heard rustling and the door slamming and locking. Rhea soon got worried and went to the back of the home but stopped at the kitchen. There was the apple juice and fruit just open. “Baby?” She got to the master bedroom and knocked on the door. “Baby what are you doing? Are you ok?” She heard the tv shut off next and rolled her eyes getting the door key and getting it unlocked quick. “Y/N?”

Y/N was hiding in the bathroom shaking not knowing what to do. Rhea has never seen her like this. And she’s terrified of what she could say if she found out about how she copes. She tried to get up from the floor of the bathroom quietly but a bottle of soap fell down alerting Rhea. She knocked on the door. “Y/N what is wrong with you?” She asked very worried about her girl. Rhea looked at the bed seeing coloring books and her small mason jar like bottle full of juice. She turned the tv back on seeing that Bluey a kids show was the recent thing she was watching. “Baby I really wanna see you right now…” Y/N sighed and she got up going to the door and peeking out seeing Rhea looking dead at her. “Baby are you ok?” Y/N opened the door nodding and rubbing her arm. She was nervous. “No your not, come here please.” Rhea sighed and Y/N grew more and more nervous. “No please..” Y/N soon had tears fall and started to sob breaking down. “Hey hey princess it’s ok…” Rhea got closer slowly and opened her arms offering a hug. Y/N got in the hug shaking. “Now what’s going on baby?”

Y/N explained her regression, what she does it for, why is it important, when she does it and why she kept it from Rhea. After that Y/N feel into a deep non-verbal state. “Hey, if you want, we can watch Bluey together..” she smiles and picked up a coloring book. “Hey you made this?” Y/N nodded some. “Baby you did an amazing job.” Rhea smiles examining the sheet. “Can I put it on the fridge?” Y/N nodded actually a bit happy but she was still unsure, last people weren't having it with her little space. “Hey, you know you never have to be nervous around me. Or keep anything from me. I love you and if it helps you I support it. As long as it doesn't harm you.” Rhea smiled. She unpaused bluely and lifted Y/N up back on the bed giving her the stuffed animal and she hugged it close smiling. Rhea smiled and she went to get ready for her shower. “I'll be back sweetie.” Y/N nodded and she started watching tv again.

Rhea spent the night learning about her girlfriend. But from a different prospect. When she's little she loves pink and flowers and chocolate. When she's regular she hates the sight of pink, likes dark chocolate and roses. It was different and honest easy to keep up with. Y/N started to get sleepy and lay on Rhea. “Sweetie you tired?” she whispered and wanted to lay her in bed, but Y/N started to whine and hold on to her. “Mama...” she sniffles. “Ok ok don't worry baby.” she smiled and started to rock her some playing with her hair. “I got you.” Y/N didn't take long and started to fall asleep. Rhea smiled and kissed her forehead. Rhea whispered low as she turned the down the tv holding her close.

ooh i like this question a lot. i won’t lie i mostly if not exclusively read lgbtq+ stories, especially leaning towards mlm couple since i myself am gay (and trans but it’s harder to find books w transmasc characters, though it makes me so happy to find them!!) soo a list of faves..

- the first to die at the end & they both die at the end - adam silvera (both so good, both left me sobbing)

- radio silence - alice oseman (one of the few books i’ve reread and god it’s so great. i used to be a huge heartstopper fan a couple years back and aled was my favorite character, so seeing a book based mostly around him made me so happy. not to mention him being demisexual, which probably played a part into me realized that i was)

- i wish you all the best - mason deaver (can’t remember all the details since i read it a whiiiile ago and for some reason it always mixes up with radio silence in my head? but im pretty sure i liked it a lot. one warning though, the mc’s parents don’t take them coming out as nonbinary* well at all and kick them out, so warning in case that’s something you aren’t in the headspace to read rn!!)

*im pretty sure they come out as nb but once again, i read this book possibly up to two years ago and my memory isn’t that great

- meet cute diary - emery lee (it’s not like omg the best most inspirational piece of literature i’ve ever read, but it is pretty good from what i remember. one thing though, unless i somehow misread it the main character (trans man) goes swimming in a chest binder at one point?? which is obviously something you should not do!! that left a weird taste in my mouth but besides that it’s good from what i remember. and i believe there’s a character that uses neopronouns as well which was really cool to see!!)

^^ i also read café con lychee by the same author and i believe it was good? enemies* to lovers which ive always thought im not a big fan of (though i haven’t read almost any) don’t know how good the representation is as far as cultures besides what i know from being hispanic myself (one mc is puerto rican, the other is i believe japanese?) but im not puerto rican either so.. don’t really know 100% but i think i liked the book

- the honeys - ryan la sala (unlike the previous books, not a romance book, but SO SO good. the mc is genderfluid and i believe has a slight romance with another character at one point but it’s in no way the main plot of the book. i think the genre is horror/paranormal which isn’t my usual but it is SO GOOD!! also read reveries by the author and i can’t remember it too well but the author is very talented and im pretty sure i liked it too)

this list is getting really long so for the rest i’ll just give titles, especially since a lot are by the same authors

- in deep waters & so this is ever after & spell bound - F.T. lukens (much more fantasy than any of the others on this list, didn’t think i’d be a huge fantasy fan but the storyline, pairings and writing is incredible and makes it worth it. can’t remember for the first two but i believe at least spell bound uses multiple character pov’s which i LOOOVE so a huge plus for me (im pretty sure the others do too, just not entirely sure)

- cemetery boys & the sunbearer trials (hispanic rep!! also holy shit just found out sunbearer trials sequel is out now omg i’m gonna have to read it soon)
