i do think that having a bio kid would be nice cause it's just so cool to see similarities among your relatives, like when you look at baby pictures and have to think for a minute to remember who that is, or when you realize two of you have the same taste in music even though you developed that interest completely independently. yeah it's nice feeling to look a lil dude and see yourself reflected in them but all that stuff is so superficial? like what does it matter if my child doesnt look like me or we have really different personalities. im gonna love them for who THEY are, not for how much they remind me of myself. how fucked up would it be to base my decision of being a parent on something like that? why would i spend so much time, effort, and money to create a biological baby, when i can instead focus that energy on giving a family to a child who already needs one? i mean, if you don't think you could love an adopted child the same as a biological child, then yeah, please do NOT adopt, those kids deserve parents who love them. but if you're not able to love your child unconditionally, then i dont think you should become a parent at all.
