Never Go Home Again, Pt. VIII || JJ Maybank x Reader

Words: 4102 (jeez, making up for a short last episode??)

Pt. Summary: Midsummers takes place as the pogues make headway in the hunt, Y/N struggles with her two friends’ enmity.

You borrowed your dad’s car, and dressed in the simplistic, elegant dress intended for your prom back in LA, you arrived at the party.

You found yourself surrounded in summery cocktail dresses and flower crowns, tuxedos that ranged from elegant dark blue to pastel pinks, a couple of floral patterns spicing up the mix. Soft lights hung loosely over the patio, lights hardly noticeable in the soft, bright hue of the evening, the sun yet to fall into the glittering sea stretched out from the view in the hotel. You worked your way through the silks, chiffons and satins. Drinks were pushed into your hand, tapas offered and awkward smiles shared. By the time you found Kie, you were armed with a glass of champagne and the feeling of not belonging. She laughed at your already exhausted smile, and had dragged you to find Pope. Once you were with Kie, it took twice as long to get anywhere, because everyone seemed to stop her and ask about her parents, the restaurant, or to offer criticism on her choice of friends, giving you side-eye. You were the one who spotted Pope, pointing him out and letting her drag you over to him.

“Excuse me, sir,” Kie mocked a British accent, “do we have to shuck these ourselves? ‘Cause it might mess up my costume.”

You all laughed, hugging him in greeting. “We wouldn’t want that now, would we?” Pope returned the joke, doing your pogue handshake.

“That accent was bad.” You shook your head.

“Yeah, it was. I was gonna let it go.” She laughed, “Y/N’s is way better.”

“Oh stop it!” you joked, in your British accent, pretending to blush, “You’re making me blush.”

“You ever seen this many kooks in one place?” Kie asked.

“Yeah, last year.” Pope grinned.

“We’re in the lion’s den.” You sighed. “Hey, have either of you heard from JJ?”

They looked at you sympathetically, shaking their heads.

“He’ll be alright.” Kie soothed. “He’s got the survival instincts of a cockroach.”

“In the month I’ve known him, this is the longest I’ve gone without hearing from him.” You sighed, and Pope looked down guiltily.

“This is my fault.”

“You didn’t do this, Pope.” you assured him, “Topper almost killed you, remember? JJ chose to, you know him, always putting others first. You can’t carry the blame, that’s not fair on you.”

You turned to the noise of an applaud, seeing Sarah and her family entering. You held back a snigger at the sight of Rose’s crown, but smiled at Sarah, who smiled back.

“Here come Lord Capital and the exploiters.” Kie sighed.

“She’s definitely gonna poke someone’s eye out with that.” Pope commented, and you looked back at Rose’s headdress, this time unable to contain the giggle.

You chatted for a while longer, finishing the lavish champagne and wanting to have some fun. You had practically dragged Kie to the dance floor, making her dance with you as a steady flow of drinks passed both your systems. Eventually, she was summoned to talk with her parents, leaving you alone on the dance floor. Before long, you found yourself dancing with Sarah, spinning her round, and exaggerating the both of your moves, mocking the way the adults were dancing. You went to get a drink after a few songs, and walked straight into JJ.

He was just as surprised as you, but you reacted quickly, pulling him down into a soft kiss by his collar. You looked over your shoulder, blushing at the sight of Pope and Kie clapping and giving you thumbs up. You turned your attention to him, tracing your thumb over his split lip and the bruises on the left side of his face. The dark cut contrasted the pink of his lips, and the bruises looked a painful, mottled purple that spread over his jaw and up to his cheek bone.

“JJ,” you murmured, “Did your dad do this?”

“My dad, got a nice right jab, ya know?” he tried to joke, seeing the worry in your eyes. The light he hoped would return to your eyes stayed gone, as anger took over your features.

“JJ, I’m gonna fucking kill him.” you seethed, “He had no fucking-”

“Y/N,” he said, cupping your face, “leave it, okay? It’s nothing that hasn’t happened before.”

“JJ that’s not making me feel any bet-”

He kissed you again, taking you off guard, and you smiled softly when he pulled away. “I gotta go,” he mumbled, “I’ll see you in a bit, I promise, babygirl.”

You nodded dumbly as he walked away, turning back to Sarah, and seeing her wiggling her eyebrows suggestively at you. You rolled your eyes at her, making an excuse to leave, and walked over to Kie, who started pestering you for details, which you supplied. Your discussion with Kie was cut short by the sight of JJ being hauled out of the house and into the garden.

“Hey, Mr Dunleavy, I see you got your drink. Good, that’s really nice of you. I’m actually gonna down that.” he took the drink, and, well, downed it. “It’s okay everybody!” he yelled, “Do not panic. Leave it to the men and women in uniform! Let’s hear it for them!” he shouted, making you and Kie smirk, trying to hide your giggles. “Rose! You look like lady liberty. Good to see you again. Hey, buddy, can I have one of those?”

“Let go of him!” You called, working your way towards him.

“You can’t just boot him!” Kie backed you, ignoring the warning looks you were both getting from her parents. He looked up at you, a tiny smile on his face. “I invited him here! I’m a member of this club.” she continued through her parent’s protests. JJ turned and pushed the guard into the crowd, stumbling in the opposite direction.

“Sorry about that! Hey,” he pointed at you and Kie, “mandatory power hour at Rixon’s, Kie, Y/N. Pope, you as well, alright? Rixon’s cove, let’s roll! A’ight Y/N, come on!” You grinned, he turned to Kie, “Workers of the world unite, throw off your chains!”

Kie and Pope ran ahead, both hugging John B, and you ran straight into JJ’s arms, letting him swing you around and kiss you, for once, not caring that everyone was staring.

“Hey, guys, so like, my dad’s already gonna kill me.” Pope said as you all settled around the campfire. “So what’s this mandatory meeting about?”

John B shot finger guns to JJ, who looked up, “Might as well tell him, man, before we’re all gaffed.”

“You ready for this? John B replied.

You and Kie looked at each other, “Yeah.” you said, in unison.

“So, the gold never went down with the Royal Merchant.” John B started.

“Here we go again.” You muttered, settling into JJ’s side.

“No, alright? Wait. Hear him out, alright?” JJ backed John B, and you frowned, shrugging and gesturing for him to continue.

“It’s been here the whole time. It’s on the island.”

“Are you serious?” Kie asked. “Oh my God.”

“I’d like to voice my skepticism.” Pope spoke.

“I’m sure you would, Pope, but can I please present you with my evidence, Sir?”

“Proceed.” Pope mocked.

“Alright, so, in my backpack, I have a letter from Denmark Tanny.”

“Who the fuck’s that?” You questioned.

“Denmark Tanny was a slave who survived the Royal merchant wreck. Check this out.” he handed Kie some paper, “So slaves weren’t mentioned as crew members on the ship, but my dad, he found the complete manifest. That was his big discovery. So Tanny used the gold from the Merchant to buy his freedom.” Kie passed you the paper. “After that, he bought his farm. Drumroll please,” you drumrolled on your thighs, “because that farm is… Tannyhill Plantation.”

“Tannyhill?” Kie affirmed. You passed Pope the paper.

“Yeah.” John B continued, “so after that, he used his money to free even more slaves. And then he sold a shit ton of rice, which pisses off all the white planters, and then they decide to lynch him. So on the day they were coming to get him, he writes a letter to his son as a farewell, and in the last line of that letter, he leaves a coded message about where to find the gold.”

“Where?” You whisper excitedly.

“Harvest the wheat, in parcel nine, near the water. Except, there’s no wheat. You see, wheat is code for gold. Check this out.” he shows you another piece of paper, and a map. “The gold is in parcel nine, near the water.” you and Kie squeal, laughing excitedly, “All we need is an original survey map of the property, and we’ve found the gold!”

“Okay, so, this might have a small chance of actually being true.” Pope said, and JJ got up from beside you.

“Dude,” you laughed, “this is like, King Tut!”

JJ pulled John B into a hug, lifting him up. “Hello, fire! You’re near the fire. You’re gonna burn.” John B warned, and JJ put him down. “I’m so proud of you right now.”

“Thank you.”

“That’s really sweet of you.” JJ looked at you, “And jeez, Y/N, what is it with you and Tutankhamun?”

“4th Grade history?” You guessed.

“Okay, so, guys,” Pope brought the attention back. “What’s the plan?”

“Good question.” John B agreed.

“How long does this go on for?” you moaned, “Wrap it up, JB.”

“Sarah Cameron’s coming tonight.” he simplified. “And she’ll bring the original survey.”

“Hold on.” Kie stopped him, “Sarah? Wh-why Sarah?”

“This is gonna be good.” JJ muttered, and you raised your eyebrows at him.

“Sarah, um, she - she helped me into the archives at Chapel Hill yesterday, and that’s where I got the letter.”

“You were in Chapel Hill with Sarah Cameron?” Kie frowned, anger contorting her features.

“Are you guys macking?” you asked, a disbelieving smirk on your lips.

“He was mackin’ on her.” JJ confirmed, interrupting John B’s pitiful attempts at an explanation, and earning him a giggle from you.

“For real?” you asked John B.

“I wasn’t macking.” John B defended.

“You were totally macking Sarah Cameron.” JJ repeated.

“I wasn’t macking on her, okay? I was using her for access.”

“There was access, alright.” JJ mumbled, earning another giggle.

“Okay,” you piped up, “JB you should have consulted first, Kie, she obviously did something shitty, but JB, using her is pure shitty, so you better just be covering for yourself right now.”

He looked at you defeated, and you groaned. “Did you tell her about the treasure?” Kie asked.

“I was just trying to get into the archives!”

“Is that a yes?”

“I left out key details!”

“Yo, what? You let a kook in on our secret? What about Pogue Lyfe? What about the t-shirt company, bro?”

“I was just using her for information.”

“Why don’t I believe you?”

“I’m tryna make us filthy rich here! Okay, so that we can pay off a boat, or - or, uh, send you to autopsy school to study dead bodies! Look, you guys know me! Do I look like the kind of person who would fall for Sarah Cameron?”

You and JJ made eye contact, “well..” you started.

“Um.” he chuckled.

“Do you want us to answer that, or-”

“Just - just stop.” John B looked at the pair of you, defeated.

“Look, you don’t know her yet, I do! You can’t trust her!”

“Her brother did hit me in the back with a golf club.” Pope pointed out.

“Rafe and Sarah are different human beings.” John B countered.

“What did she do to you, exactly?” you asked Kie, wandering how she could hate your friend so much.

“She’s like a - a spitting cobra. First she - first she blinds you and then she-”

“This is a bad analogy.” you mumbled.

“Listen to me!” Kie demanded, “Whatever we get, she’s gonna try to take.”

You and JJ were lying on your bed, not having bothered to get changed before getting under the covers. You interlocked your fingers with his, snuggling closer, your eyes barely open. “What do you think Sarah did?”

JJ turned his head to look at you, he could tell it was tearing you up. “I… don’t know.” JJ sighed, defeated. “I’ve known Kie for years, and she’s never talked about it.”

“Sarah was super kind to me, I don’t understand why Kie is so against her. It’s so shitty, ‘cause they’re both my friends, and I want them to get on, but they obviously won’t.”

“They might?” JJ muttered, thinking.

“C’mon, Jay, you know it’s impossible. And I don’t even know what happened between them, so I can’t fix it.”

“You know it’s not up to you to fix it, right?”

“So why do I feel like I have to?”

“Because you’re an empathetic, kind, brilliant person?”

“Jay,” you groaned, as he kissed you, “Be serious!”

“I am.” he mumbled, kissing you again.

“You’re infuriating,” you giggled, “you know that?”

“It’s all part of my brand.”

“Your brand?”

“Oh yeah, super-hot surfer pogue, insanely funny, get’s the best weed on the island, you know, the usual.”

“You’re full of shit.”

“Hey! At least I have a brand!”

“Is that a comment aimed at me?” you mocked offence.

“I mean, your brand is ‘mysterious new girl’.”

“You think I’m mysterious?”

“I mean, yeah, none of us know, like, why you moved or anything about you.”

Your heart twinged, but you covered for yourself, mocking him, “It’s all part of my brand.”

“I’m sorry, you’re staying where?” Kie passed John B to get to the bar, the group having gathered in the Wreck.

“Tannyhill.” John B repeated, and you shook your head, disbelieving.

“So you’re living with Sarah Cameron?”

“Okay, look, the only reason I’m living there is because her dad bailed me out, right?”

“I still can’t believe you got pushed off that wooden frame thing.” You muttered, and he smirked, fighting down a laugh as you and Kie went to the group’s table.

“And it’s way better than foster care,” he continued, “which, by the way, where I was about to go if Ward didn’t-”

“Hey, so do you have membership to the clubs now?” Pope asked.

“I don’t know, Pope.”

“What about those little golf carts that they drive around?” JJ added, “You get one of them?”

“Does it come with a sweater-vest, or do you have to buy one of those on your own?” You add.

“Look, you promised.” Kie brought the focus back, like always. “You said you weren’t with her.”

“Bro, just own it.” JJ backed, “She got you.”

“Look if you wanna hang out with her, that’s fine.” Kie sighed, “I mean, Y/N sometimes hangs out with her. But I’m letting you know right now that I’m not doing anything with Sarah.”

“Do you guys see her here?” John B pointed out, “No, right. Okay. A little focus would be fantastic. We’ve got the map, right?”

“It’s all out of whack ‘cause the guy was ganja’d when he drew it.” JJ commented.

“No,” you corrected, “the coastline changed, dummy.”

“So we just have to look for landmarks that haven’t changed.” Pope clarified.

“What about the old forts?” John B suggested.

“You know, the more you guys talk, the more I realise that I know nothing about this island.” You observed, treasuring the feeling of JJ running a hand through your hair.

“Battery Jasper.” Kie pointed.

“Let’s go.” you stood up, leading the group out to the VW.

John B drove, none of you really paying attention until you reached the landmark.

The five of you looked out over the island, expansive green leading to expansive blue, you were at a high point. “We’re in battery, right here.” Pope points on the map. “So if this is parcel nine, then it’s somewhere northeast of here.”

“Somewhere over there.” Kie points, and you take JJ’s juul off him, taking a puff, then handing it back.

“Over there?” JJ followed the point. “Guys, that’s not Tannyhill, that’s a subdivision.”

“Tannyhill Plantation used to be the entire island.” reminded John B. “It got sold into smaller pieces over time.”

Pope inspected the map again, “So we’re just looking for an old stone wall.”

You ventured back to the Twinkie, following Pope’d instructions, again. John B took a sharp left, pulling up next to an overgrown stone wall.

“That looks like a stone wall to me.” JJ said, almost proud.

“This is it.” Pope confirmed. Your car doors clattered open as you hopped out of the car.

“Not the Crain House.” John B sighed.

“Are you kidding me?” Kie repeated the sentiment.

“Worst case scenario.” JJ confirmed.

“Why’d it have to be here of all places?” Pope asked.

“Hang on a second.” You turned to your friends, your lack of apprehension standing out in the group. “It’s just a house. What’s the big deal?”

“I heard Mrs Crain buried her husband’s head on the property.” JJ told you. You all looked at him, the other’s in fear, you in skepticism.

“Well that’s bullshit.” you shrugged, taking a hold of the top of the wall and pulling yourself up, throwing your legs over and landing in the overgrown thicket. You pricked yourself in the brambles, and swore. The pogues on the other side of the wall immediately started asking if you were okay, making you giggle. “Just be careful of the brambles.”

Once they were all on the inside, you began to venture inwards. “Look, Y/N, you know whose house this is, right?”

“Some old lady’s?” you guessed, and were greeted with four unimpressed stares.

“Honestly, I don’t really believe the stories of this place.” John B joined your skepticism, but was shushed by Pope.

“Which stories did you hear?” JJ asked Kie.

“The one where she killed her husband with an axe and that she’s been holed up ever since.” said Kie, making you snort. “On certain nights, when the moon is full…”

You saw where it was going, and joined in with Kie’s mockingly spooky hand movements as she finished, “... you can see her in the window!” the pair of you giggled.

“No, girls, it’s not funny, ‘cause it’s all true.” JJ shook his head, as you and Kie made ‘Waah’ noises. “I swear to God guys, this is all real. I knew Hollis. Jeez!”

You smirked, “Yeah, jeez. Who knew you were superstitious? And who’s Hollis?”

“Wait, you knew Hollis Crain?” asked Pope.

“Who’s Hollis?” you repeated, ignored again.

“Yeah, dude.” JJ confirmed.

“Dude, how do you know Hollis Crain?”

“Dude, who is Hollis Crain?” you mocked Pope’s anxious movements.

“She was my babysitter, man. She told me all about it.” He looked around the group, “She told me the truth… about her mother and what happened in this house.”

“And what would that be?” You asked, still skeptical as you looked up to the unkempt house.

“So as a kid, she heard all the stories that her mother killed her father, and she was a murderer and all. Hollis didn’t believe it. Until that night.”

“What night?”

“It all came back to her.” JJ turned to look at the house, “When Hollis was six years old, she heard her parents arguing downstairs. So she goes downstairs to see her mom washing her hands in the sink full of blood. Her mother just says that she cut her finger. The next morning, she says her father and her split up. But then, Hollis noticed something. Her mother going into the parlour constantly, in and out and in and out with plastic bags. Weeks pass, and Hollis decides to use the outhouse. And as she’s using it, she looks down, and there, in the outhouse, is her father’s head, looking straight back at her.”

“God, you are so full of shit.” you and John B outburst in unison.

“Dude, I swear to God, man.” JJ shook his head.

“Did she call the police?” Pope asked.

“She didn’t have time.” you and John B started to walk on, only to be grabbed and pulled back by JJ.

“What?” you asked, confused. He turned to John B.

“You sure you wanna do this? She’s an axe murderer. You got a cast on.”

“I don’t give a shit if she’s an axe murderer, okay? I got nothing to lose, right? You comin’, or what?”

You follow John B through the garden, and he gathers you in a semicircle. “So here’s the plan. We need to look for the wheat near the water like it said in Denmark’s letter.”

“Okay, like, what kind of water?” asked Pope, “Like, pond water?”

JJ chuckled, “Bong water?” you slapped his arm lightly.

“It just said look for water, okay?”

“That’s the shittiest secret message ever.” Kie moved past John B.

“You wanna complain a little more, Kie? Nobody said it was gonna be easy.”

“I’ll search the northeast quadrant,” Pope started, addressing you and JJ, “you two search the northwest.”

“The decapitation quadrant?” JJ objected, and you took his arm, pulling him with you.

You scanned your area, coming up empty, then followed John B into the basement. You went in before JJ, who started singing a song about how Mrs Crain was going to kill you all.

You and Pope turned, shining your torches in his face.

“Can you stop?” You hissed, and he shut up.

You swung the torch light over the room, the broken and discarded furniture giving the room a horror-movie vibe. You’d never admit it, but you were beginning to feel creeped.

“This is the part of the movie where we get attacked by the old, half-dead blind lady.” You muttered, and JJ nodded, gesturing to you as if you had predicted the future, the others rolling their eyes.

“See any water?” Kie asked, five torches sweeping around the place. You felt a tickle on your arm and slapped, your palm coming away with the brown stain of squished insect. “Another dead end?”

JJ ran his hand on the pipes, “There’s not even water on the pipes.”

“There’s no water here.” Pope confirmed as you slapped another bug, noticing that it was a mosquito.

“Not a dropamino.” JJ continued.

“Know why we didn’t find it?” Kie piped up, “Bad karma.”

“Oh, God, here we go.” John B muttered.

“You know, we had a good thing going. And then you decide to rope in Barbie, and now the trail’s gone dry.”

“Literally,” smirked, “there’s no water.”

“Coincidence?” Kie continued as Pope and JJ sniggered, “Probably not.”

“This is exactly why I didn’t wanna tell you about Sarah.”

“Yeah?”

“Yeah.”

“What the hell’s the deal? What’s going on with you two?”

“Nothing.”

“Nothing? Is it because I kissed you? Is that the problem?”

Your eyes widened, your mouth forming a little ‘o’ as Kiara slapped him, JJ and Pope both calling out in surprise.

“Stop treating me like I’m some girl that’s obsessed with you instead of your best friend who’s actually trying to look out for you.”

The pair of them started bickering, slapping each other, using skeeters as excuses. You slapped your leg, seeing the brown stain of a mosquito, again.

“Why the fuck are there so many mosquitoes?” you fumed, slapping yourself again.

“Dude, I know, seriously. Tiny little vampire bats, just leave me alone.” JJ added, the pair of you slapping again, and again, and again. “Oh my gosh, can we leave? ‘Cause I’m already itchin’ to leave. Haha, punny.”

You looked at Pope, who was staring at the floor, his torch shining over it. You both stomped on the ground hearing the hollow sound as JJ tried to show you ‘Mrs Crain’s voodoo doll’. You picked up a stone, dropping it through the crack in the floorboards, and hearing the ‘plop’ as it landed in water. You and Pope scrambled, pushing the loose bits of wood out of the way to lift the board, opening up the well. Pope shone his torch down.

“Well, well, well.” he joked.

“Water great discovery.” You added.

“Great dad jokes, guys.” John B sighed.

“They built this part of the house right over it.”said Kie.

“This is where she hid the bodies.” JJ nodded.

“JJ, just stop.” You shook your head.

“No, I’m dead serious.”

“Yeah, you will be, because I’m seriously considering pushing you down that well.”

“It was never an outhouse.” JJ continued.

“She probably doesn’t even know it’s here.” Kie shrugged.

“So, we found water.” Pope looked to John B.

“We’re gonna need a really big rope.”

The leather straps were cooling across your chest; just as the strap was tight across your hips. You struggled, the buckles keeping you firmly stuck to the table. The white lights quietly warming the rest of your bare exposed skin. Your obliques teasing their way to the surface as you wriggled against your restraints. Cut here scissor lines decorated across the most common places women dislike about themselves. Crescents at your side, inner thighs, cupping your breast. Two figures hovering over you, crazed hunger filled looks scanning your being.

Lee Jooheon was stood over you in pale blue scrubs beneath a pearly white lab coat littered with scruffy black writing. He was stood menacing in the wielding of a scalpel while conversing animatedly with the person next to him. Im Changkyun was dressed to the brim in a perfectly fitted black suit wielding a clipboard with a picture of a barbie on. IM was shoving his fingers to the picture and then to you. Jooheon nodding intently in agreeance, scalpel still active in the air.

“CUT!” The director called. A bell vibrating round the warehouse. Jooheon immediately tearing the Velcro under the fake buckles and rushing to reach under the table for the large white dressing gown placed discreetly under the table. The basic black lace lingerie set was the only thing covering you as you hauled yourself off the table before coating yourself in white fluff.

“You good?” Changkyun asked lightly supporting you to your feet.

“All good” you affirmed.

“That was great guys, a clear cut. Scene done in one. We’ll get the stage set up and do the combined verse and Y/N’s solo then we’ll call it a day” The director confirmed. All you heard was

Suho and you were sleeping together for the last 3 year. You were in love with him but he was not. He just wanted to depend upon someone emotionally. You were okay with it, you wanted to be with him in whichever way you can. You were not his girlfriend but he never treats you less. One day he got married to other women because of business. You thought everything was over between you two but he came back to you. He spends his wedding night with you leaving his wife all alone.

You were facing toward Suho, he looks angry at the same time worried, his eyes were locked on yours for some moment, then he looked at his mother and said, “How did you call my employee here without my permission?” Mrs. Kim said, “Why do I need your permission for anything? Anyways, as you are here to let us discuss the date.” From beside him, he took the small glass vase and throw in the corner of the room and said with fury, “I’M TELLING FOR THE LAST TIME. IM NOT GOING TO MARRY HER. THERE IS NOT GOING TO BE ANY MARRIAGE.” He looks toward you and said, “Did you take my permission before coming here? How many times I have told you to take my permission whenever my parent calls you. Now let’s get the hell out of here.” You stand motionless. He came to you, hold your wrist tightly and hauls you out of the mansion. You were heartbroken, but you didn’t cry.

You go and sit next to him, put your head on his shoulder and said, “Do you remember what did you tell me after I confessed my love for you?” He put his head on your head and said “I won’t be with anyone else. ‘It is not a relationship, but I will never cheat and I will be only your’ I remember it clearly.” You sit up straight and said, “If you were telling me earlier is the truth, please come to me after she is gone.” You stood up and said “Suho, I’ll be waiting for you, but first I want her gone. I won’t be able to bear her sight.” He gets up too, put hands on your shoulder and ask “You don’t trust me enough? When I’m saying she is no one. Princess, there is nothing between me and her. She somehow got information about my mother, but I handle it.” You took both of hand on yours and said, “I do trust, but she makes me uneasy.” He understands you and tells everything. He promises you, to find the way out of it, not to leave and trust him. He also promised not to touch you until she is gone. After knowing everything, you were uncertainty, but you still believe what Suho promise and keeping fate at him.

The day was passing nothing coming out, your bed becoming cold and colder alone. Your neighbors also make fun to see you more offend. Between all of this, your birthday comes, keeping up your fake smile, you spend the day with your parents and friend, but your heart aches because Suho didn’t even wish you. Pain in your heart keeps growing day by days and Suho seems more and more stressed. You wanted to cease his stress by saying ‘let’s just end everything between us today’ or 'I will stay as you keep me’ but your voice was stuck inside you. There were not any conversations after that day, you keep working beside him like before but still feel far away.

Again, you were at the mansion but this time with Suho and Youra was there too. Mrs. Kim and Youra set the date, inform Youra family and happily discussing further. Suho stays quiet all this time. Mrs. Kim asks you to help with the arrangement. You try to say 'No’ but end up saying 'Yes’. Afterward, Suho drove you home, during the road you keep looking at him, he didn’t say a single word. You reach home, go straight to your bed and cry.

From the next day, you were working more making sure you are tired, go home and just sleep. You were hoping by a miracle this marriage is stopped and Suho comes back to you. Unfortunately, engagement day comes. Everything was perfectly set, media to the guest everyone has arrived. Youra was first to enter and go to the stage, she looks the unbelievable beautiful now everyone waiting for Suho. 30-minute passed but Suho doesn’t arrive, part of you got happy thinking he is not coming, he must have found the way out of this marriage. Just after 20 days after the engagement announcement, the wedding date was set. To move your mind and heart away from it, you started to overwork. If you stay without work for even a minute you start crying. Your health started to decrease, but you did not care about it.

Your mother comes to visit you, seeing your condition, she made you take the holiday from work and took proper care of you for 3 days. Your mind was not working, you cannot cry at home because of your mother, your pain was bottle inside. Seeing your different behavior, your mother keeps asking 'What is wrong?’ you just tell her because your boss is suddenly getting married there is a lot of work, which was partly the truth.

Mr. Kim called you in the mansion to give you a few important files. He asks “Y/N, are you taking your medicines properly?” You look up at him and said “I don’t need it anymore, I’m all good now” He laugh shortly and said, “You are not good at lying.” You give him a puzzled look and says, “You are not ‘All good’. Anyone can see it.” He pushes and continues "I’m sorry on behalf of my wife, she has given you the extra burden of handling this marriage. Just more 5 days after that you can take proper rest. I’ll make sure you get the proper holiday.” You nodded and said, “It's going to be difficult to get a holiday, I doubt Mr. Junmyeon will give permission.” He said, "Are you forgetting I’m his father.” You smile, nodded and say “Thank You, Sir” He stares at you with wide eyes and said “Sir? You are calling me 'Sir’. I guess you are really tired.” You look down to hide your awkwardness.

After the meeting Mr. Kim, Mrs. Kim called you to dress designer’s office, Youra and Suho were there too, to see the wedding dress fitting. Again, she looks too beautiful in white grown and Suho look handsome in the tuxedo next to her, like the perfect couple. You hardly keep your expression in control, pain in your heart was ready to leave from your eyes any time. Youra calls you and said to click the picture of both of them on her phone, Mrs. Kim pushes you forward. You click the picture and look at it, it was perfect, both of them smile of magnificent. You had enough, while they go and change, you excuse yourself. You cannot go home because your mother is there, she cannot see you crying. You keep walking and silent crying. After walking for hours, feeling tired, go home, got fresh and sleep hugging your mother.

Next day your mother goes back home, it gives you relief some extent. Only 4 days were left for the wedding and you need to be alone so you can cry at least in peace. Everything changed in just a few days, Suho who was crazy for you but now he didn’t even speak directly. And you couldn’t even look at him, scared to see happiness or any kind of love for Youra. Time was really going slow but the wedding day comes, you check preparation and Guestlist before going home. The wedding was at 6p. m you were leaving by 4p. m, not have an inclination for seeing marriage. Your team member coming toward you, Mark said “Wow, you look too good in jeans and an old T-shirt. You reach home and hope for time pass quickly; you were not at the wedding but by heart, you know the details of what time what will happen. As soon as the clock shows 6 you become hysterical. Sit in the corner and keep watching toward clock want to reach 10p. m soon so everything will be over, every passing second you remember memories and regret not saying a proper goodbye. If you have let him touch you for the last time, the last kiss, the last date would have been better. Crying and remembering a thing, you closed your eyes new imagination cross your mind, their first night it made you more miserable than you were. It was something his father can help with; he every day go to the mansion and ask his dad for help but he refuses. His princess still taking care of him, silently still it comfort him. Her birthday comes, whole day he was aching to wish her and give her a gift but he couldn’t bring himself to due to his date with Youra again, it was making him guilty.

He is failing, the announcement date is fixed and Y/N was there at that time, he can clearly see her pain, he also felt pain in his heart. He drove her back to her apartment, whole while she was looking at him, he didn’t have the courage even to say sorry.

From next day she becomes vex; she was working more than required. When regular work gets over, she finds an old file to read. On the announcement date, he got a clue his father knows something. Youra reaches stage but he didn’t go and wait for his father. After a long argument, he got on his knee in front of his father and said “Please dad. I cannot, I don’t want to marry her.” His dad said “Right now if you cancel, our goodwill will get hurt. We will talk about it later tonight. For now, go to the stage and let the announcement happen.” It gives him relief; he believed his father and he smile. He went inside the venue smiling, he has some good news to tell his princess and have her back to his arms.

After the engagement announcement without his knowledge his father announced an investment plan in each other company, it made him furious. He was looking for Y/N but nowhere to be found. Mark told him; she went home, he cursed himself for smiling like an idiot and hurting her. His father calls him at the Mansion afterward and told him, he has to marry to Youra, tell him how the whole company and his mother will get hurt if he doesn’t. Again, the long argument and then nothing. He challenges his father, he will find a way out of this mess before the wedding, his father warns him he cannot do anything as he never been manipulating a person. He hires the private investigator to dig dirty of Youra and his family.

He was seeing his princess distraction and he couldn’t do anything about it. She is losing weight and her make-up was getting heavier day by day. She was not doing the work properly; everything was full of the mistake. He wants to scowl, her for it, but looking at her damaged state, he couldn’t bring himself too. He didn’t understand why she took a job to handle this wedding and hurt herself more. It really worried him when she got sick and took 3 days off, hardly she uses to take one day off no matter how sick she is. He Thanks God because her mother comes and saves her a little. He was angry at himself for hurt her like this, he was not showing although he was in more pain than her.

He was being careful not increasing her pain, but unfortunately, his mother called her to the designer’s office. She was kept looking down, again and again, to stay in control. Youra being imbecilic, she asks Y/N to take their picture, it made him angry, but he couldn’t do anything considering his father warning to keep smiling until he finds the way out of this marriage. By the time he changes and comes back, Y/N was gone. He sends his mother and Youra off and goes looking for her. He sees her walking; he also walks with her from distant after hours she went back home then he did too.

He was working late tonight. First, he corrects his princess mistake in all of her work, then he looked at search result which private investigator has given, nothing major comes out of it, it was showing all small mistakes which have no meaning compared to his mother sin. Y/N come into his office, he didn’t look up, she said “Mr. Junmyeon, I have something to say” he didn’t look up, just keep working. She put an envelope on the table and said “I want to quit this job” It made him still. No, it cannot be happening, how I’m supposed to leave without even seeing her. He said her name in disagreement. She made an excuse to leave after my wedding, he is not going to allow her to leave and said, “You have to give 6 months notices before leaving, you know the company policy and…..” She cut him and said in the pleading voice “Junmyeon, please. I have to go. Please, I’m beg……” he cut her and said, “Leave when you get the replacement for you.” For now, he agreed, he cannot argue right now. When she left, he looked at the time, it was the same time and the same place everything had begun years ago, it cannot end like this.

He was looking out of the window, seeing his princess was working around the wedding venue. Suddenly thought run on his mind, if Y/N was the bride he wouldn’t have any issues to get married, earlier he never likes the idea of marriage. After failing, he can only do one thing, if he ends up in the hospital it will halt the drama but how? In frustration, he grabs his hair, his father entry his room and said “If you thinking about hurting yourself, it is useless and I don’t think I teach you to choose the easy way out” He rolled his eyes and huff. He didn’t a look toward his father still looking at her. When Mark gives her side hug, he got extreme jealousy. He knows nothing is between them. He didn’t have a good look at her and someone else is already being touchy. His father said “Only two hours left. Start getting ready” He saw her leaving from the venue, he turns around and said “What do you know about Youra family? And why are you getting blackmailed? I have never seen you get manipulated by anyone before” His father huff and said, “After everything you still don’t want to get married?”

He said a rough voice “No. I never wanted or want to. I’m telling you from the start and stop avoiding the question”

“Have you forgotten you are talking with your father. It is best for everyone, this marriage is best for us.”

“What is good for me?”

“Suho, they know too much about us, we don’t have any choices here”

“But you know how to stop them, then why?”

“My wife is on a stake; her image is at stake. You should be happy, Youra is a nice girl, even after knowing everything she respects and loving your mother”

He laughs and said “Is this a joke? You both cheat on each, don’t show me your fake love and CEO floor know about it, none of them disrespected mom”

“SUHO STOP NOW. You will get married to Youra end of the discussion. I tired of saying the same thing again and again. Now, get ready” His father reaches to the door, he said “If I go ought this marriage, forget you have a son” His father ignores it and go out, shutting the door behind him.

He got ready and waiting, a tear leaves from his eyes, thinking about his princess, she must alone in heartbreak. Someone knocks on his door, he wipes the tear and said “Yes” His father said “Come down in 5 minutes and don’t try to pull any stunt” He got up and go down.

While the marriage process was going on, his mind was full of thought. All the ritual was over and the ring was getting exchanged. When Youra leans for a kiss, hardly his lips touch her, he pulls away, it’s repulsive him. Now he wanted his princess anyhow, he cannot stay away, he doesn’t want to, even if she hates him, he would never let her go.

After a really long time he was seeing his 8 friends, they congratulate him and like him like a business person, not as friends. He doesn’t know how to feel, leaving him every one of them stick together and it hurt, only Y/N know how he feels about them. Around 9:30 his need at this wedding got over. He gets away from the guest’s eyes, removing his tie and throw it on the ground, ready to leave. Mr. Kim calls him “Suho, where are you going?” He smirks and said “Junmyeon. From now onward it is Junmyeon, I told you if I do get married to her, you lose your son. And I don’t care about anything, anymore. I will do whatever I want.” This drama was watched by his CEO floor employees and his 8 friends but he doesn’t care and leaves.

He drove his car and reach her apartment. He was a little afraid to knock at her door. Her neighbor came out of her place and said “You are Y/N boss. I heard you got married today, congratulations” He just nodded. She asks “What are you doing here on your wedding night?” ‘I want my Princess’ he thought, but don’t what to say loudly, Y/N opens the door. He saw in her eyes, he remembers his jealousy, his pain, his need, and unnamed emotion. He couldn’t control himself anymore, her neighbor again said “Excuse me, what are……..” he didn’t care. He cupped his princess' face and kisses her; she immediately kisses him back and her hand lock around his neck. Her neighbor must be stock by seeing the passionate kiss but they didn’t care. He pushes her inside her apartment, not breaking the kiss, one hand tightly wraps around his waist, pull her body on his and other closing doors behind.

arabella elise howard was born to a fairytale — her mother had been a professor with her round glasses hidden by stacks of books, while her father lived life without a worry, flying from country to country and enjoying the best money could buy. it didn’t make sense for their paths to cross, and it didn’t make sense for matthew howard to fall head over heels for the shy yet headstrong theresa wayne, but they did ; he did. and soon enough, he was whispering loving words to a big belly that housed the very product of their love.

but perhaps because it all seemed too good to be true, their happiness was short-lived. on the eve of arabella’s 3rd birthday, matthew’s car skidded along the icy roads, ending the couple’s life. too young to even notice their absence, arabella was handed over to her mother’s sister — she was a toddler reaching aimlessly for the same head of blonde hair that she’d known since birth. except this one wasn’t as kind, and surely not as loving.

leila wayne had loved her little sister, and had taken care of her when their senile parents couldn’t. growing up, there wasn’t one without the other. theresa was leila’s pride, the one wayne that would succeed and remember her big sister on the way up. that was until matthew barged in, corrupting her sibling, feeding her lies and stealing her away across the country. there wasn’t a day that went by that leila was sure theresa would still be alive if not for that man. him and his lies, convincing theresa that leila was too controlling, too obsessed, that she wanted her little sister to stay in the gutter with her.

the more she looked at arabella, and those dark eyes she’d inherited from her father, the more hatred festered in leila’s heart. she was the only living family that could take care of the orphaned howard child; how ironic.

growing up, arabella was almost fooled into thinking her home life was normal. the screaming at every mistake, the poor dinner comprised of day-old takeouts, the wasted mattress on the corner of the room that she curled into, whimpering as the lights went off and leila locked the door for the night. but still, some part of her knew deep down, that she had once known more; known better. and it was those blurry dreams of loving hugs and white-teeth smiles that kept the child, then teenager, alive.

she was often alone for most part of her teenage years, burying herself in whatever books she got at the school library. because she couldn’t relate to the rest of the peers her age, arabella focused all her attention towards studying and making sure she could one day get as far away from her aunt as possible. she got a competitive streak, often harboring anger and envy towards anyone that got a better grade than her, though it meant she was always pushing herself to do better — but not always better for her, but better than them.

teachers and counselors often considered arabella as a rare gem, supporting her all the way to college applications and assuring her there was no way she wouldn’t get a scholarship with her record. so it was really a slap to the face when everyone started getting acceptance letters but her. until she discovered them ripped apart and half burnt in the trash, courtesy of leila. when confronted, the older woman claimed she was just like her mother. so eager to get away, to act like she was a monster they had to run from. but she refused to let arabella leave, like theresa had. ( i’m sure there would be a way to reverse this but idk enough about american education so let’s just go w it for the sake of the story). it was a tipping point, the last drop of water that would send the vase tipping over. that night, arabella locked her aunt in the same room she had spent her childhood in, lights turned off, the only sound the faint rumble of cars passing by. no matter how much the woman yelled, slammed, begged, she turned her back and packed the little she had been given. two days later, as the cab driver hauled up her luggage in the trunk, arabella unlocked the door to a passed out and starving leila, and left without saying goodbye.

she ended up going to her last choice aka grandview, while living alone in her little shoebox apt that was all hers, with lots of light. and when the opportunity actually came to attend oakridge, arabella was the first to take it. while it wasn’t her dream college, it was still a prestigious one, and since ridding herself of the dead weight in her life, she’d started planning to rise as far as they would let her go. far enough that the whispers in the dark couldn’t get to her.

p e r s o n a l i t y and t i d b i t s :

very self-centered, only ever concerned about her and what happens to her and will this affect her ? really the last person to go to if you want someone to listen… that one girl that zones out when someone starts monologuing and comes back only when her name is mentioned. has a hard time feeling sympathy, especially if you’re rich.

always overthinks her words and waits 5 seconds before speaking to make sure it’s exactly what she wants to say and if it’s something bitchy then that’s just the way it is. but she’s more reserved than outgoing, so if she does say smth mean you just really asked for it. or it’s finals time.

driven and dedicated about her academics…. like obviously they all are but she’s a freak about it. i’m talking redbull intoxication feat. one of those pinterest pics of like a bunch of coffee cups just laying around like someone’s got time to spare. if she’s not studying, she’s reading…. likes classics but also occasionally reads NA in the middle of the night because no one will ever know.

is very scared of the dark. can’t sleep without a light on, or two on very hard days. once in highschool some kids decided to prank the teacher and turn off all lights and blinds in the classroom and she had a panic attack that led them all to detention. it was a very rough year, kids are cruel.

tutored ava for a while in english because it meant some cash on the side, but was about to quit before she died simply because ava was getting better grades and that was really a bitch ass of a situation. her first reaction when she heard of her death was that at least she didn’t have to have an awkward conversation with her about it. . . but then she was a shocked and a little sad, i promise. well, i don’t promise promise but. . .

majors in finance, hates it. she was definitely going for a english major but realistically decided it wasn’t worth putting herself in debt for it ( no offense for any english majors. ) doesn’t actually know what she wants to do with her life after she graduates. she only knows how to be a student, not an actual working woman.

in summary, arabella elise howard is a broke, over-achieving, cold twenty year old who’s only 5′3 and thinks she can still be intimidating.

“Let’s go big Bill!” Beverly was handling the radio while Bill Denbrough put the key into ignition. Stan was incredibly angry for being pushed to the back seat next to Mike then Ben. Richie wasn’t a fan of it either even though he was on the mattress again with Eddie.

“Okay muh-m-Mike, where are we off too?”

“We’re almost to New Hampshire so we should be driving for about 10 hours, not including stops, and we can take a break at this casino-hotel thing,”

“Finally! I’ve always wanted to gamble!” Richie yelled from the back.

“You’re an idiot,” Eddie said while putting on a different shirt that was white with yellow and blue stripes, Richie loved it because it was way too big on Eddie and he just looked so cute! Staring at Eddie made it all go away, almost like nothing ever happened with Mike.

“Turn it up!” Bev yelled. She was reading a stolen vogue magazine, which interested some of the boys, (not Eddie or Stan since they were gay while the rest were bi, pan, poly, you name it). She got excited when Bill got that cute little grin on his face and let the song “You Got It (The Right Stuff)” by New Kids on the Block. Bev looked back at Ben who was blushing and playing with his book page. He looked up and they met eyes, she did her signature wink and Ben grinned at her while they mouthed the words to each other. Everyone in the car was smiling to the sound of those stupid songs Ben would make the losers club listen to at the quarry or on bike rides.

Richie looked over to Eddie and saw the way he tapped his finger to the beat while playing sudoku from a page Richie ripped out of a magazine for him at their last haul. What Richie didn’t know was that Eddie was catching glances of him too. Eddie always thought it was cute that Richie had a couple of Bev’s hair ties on his wrist from when she had braided his hair. Eddie blushed at the thought of braiding Richie’s hair but quickly looked back to his sudoku page and filled in a number.

Richie had this urge to lay on Eddie or at least set his head on his shoulder. He kept hesitating until he glanced at the row of seats in front of them. Mike was air-drumming to the beat while Stan watched him and laughed. After that he laid his head on the boy real quick. It almost hurt from how fast he was, but Eddie’s heart still sped up and his breath hitched. Richie didn’t know why but after a few seconds of laying his head on Eddie’s warm chest he started to get tired and closed his eyes to fall asleep.

“Bill speed up.”

“What? Buh-b-bev?”

“Speed up!”

“Oh my god…” Stan looked back and saw the red and blue lights flashing as a police car turned into their lane.

“SHIT!” Eddie started to shake. He couldn’t go to jail. What are we gonna do?

“Eds! get your head down!” Richie pulled him against the door, under the windows and squeezed the small boy. Eddie squinted and clenched onto the taller boys sweater with his head pushed into Richie’s chest.

“Bill!” Bev tugged on his shirt sleeve.

“Oh god. Oh god. Oh god.” Ben clenched the arm rest and the empty bag of trail mix in his other hand.

“Bill turn here!” Mike spoke up. Bill frantically turned the wheel and pulled into a parking lot for the thrift store GoodWill. Stan kept looking back and made sure they weren’t followed. Luckily, the police car drove right past the turn and kept on. They all took deep breaths and tried to calm down.

Bev looked up and noticed the big store. Her voice shook but she puttered out, “Anyone up for shoplifting?”

Bev came out of the car first. Even before the murder she loved thrift shopping and fashion designing but she never had the money to buy herself clothes to experiment with. She looked the part though; she was wearing a white shirt with a design that was covered by long overalls that were a bit small on her and short with rips on the knee and one of Bill’s flannels and black converse. Stan wasn’t too happy about the flannel part but he was wearing Mike’s silk bomber jacket so he tried to shrug it off. They all walked in the store looking like suspicious teenagers, so not much was new. Richie liked the feeling of being intimidating even if it’s only to some 40 year old cashier.

They all went to different sections to find some clothes and of course the lovers always “found” their way into the same aisle as each other and Mike wanted his turn. Stan wandered to the back of the store where there was old furniture and tall shelves filled with knick knacks and old dolls (which creeped everyone out) and on the back wall there were old TVs and radios, (the TVs were always on static instead of an actual show). He sat down on the edge of a brown couch when he saw something in the corner of his eye. Something red was peeking out from the floor of the aisle to the side of him. He stood up and slowly made his way to the entrance on the shelf. He looked at the ground and saw red blood scattered on the floor and on his hands. As he looked up the section turned into the Marsh’s old apartment. Stan stood there wide-eyed almost about to cry, but no sound came out. He backed out of the aisle and clenched his hair, “stop,” he whispered, “Stop!” he cried, “STOP!” His back hit the back wall which was now covered in the same wallpaper as Beverly’s old kitchen. He looked down at his feet and saw a knife, the knife he used, covered in blood, “no…” He kept walking backwards in attempt to get away from the visions. He whipped his head left and right to search for a way out, when the front door opened.

“Mike?” Stan said. He ran to the figure in the “doorway” and hugged him.

“Stan? What’s goin’ on?”

Stan opened his eyes and he could see the end of an aisle and he let go of the hug. There was no blood on his hands and the floor was clean, “I… Sorry… I just saw…” His voice broke and Mike could tell he was about to tear up so he put his hand on Stan’s shoulders and said, “Hey it’s okay,”

Mike looked at Stan and admired him. Stan did the same. Their eyes locked. Until they both slowly closed them and leaned in. Their lips touched softly.

“Holy shit…” Richie whispered to himself from the end of the aisle, “You motherfuckers… You motherfuckers!” Richie stormed off.

Richie walked outside where the losers (except Eddie and Bill who were in the bathroom. They got situated in the car until Richie saw Eddie walk out the store and ran to him.

Eddie noticed he was angry and walked to him “Richie! What’s the matter?” He frowned when he got no response but a blank stare past him, “Rich?” Eddie clutches into his jacket and shook him but Richie yanked his arm out of his grasp when he saw Bill, then realized his mistake.

“What the hell?” Eddie said.

“Eds! I…”

“What the fuck is going on?”

“I- I need Bill”

“What- Bill? What’s wrong?”

“Just one second!” Richie yelled and pushed past the smaller boy.

“Richie!” Eddie stumbled back. He was visibly angry.

“Wuh-w-What’s going o-on?” Bill walked up behind Eddie in alarm.

“Bill!” Richie didn’t know how to word this, “I- uh… I saw…”

“What?” Eddie and Bill looked at him confused.

“Break up with Stan!” He blurted out. He squinted at his stupidity.

“What!” Bill looked at Richie like he was monster, he loved Stan.

Eddie look at Richie “What the hell Richie?!”

“Wuh-w-wuh-What a-are you tuh-t-talking ab-buh-bout?”

“Bill… I…”

“Ruh-R-Richie! W-What are you tuh-talking about?!”

“Look Bill I’m so sorry,” Richie reached out for him but he stepped back.

“What happened?” Bill said it sternly without stutter and it made Richie feel terrible. How could he tell him this.

“Stan cheated on you.”

“W-wuh… What?”

“Richie what the hell?” Eddie said from behind.

“No… he-he didn’t! You’re luh-l-lying!” Bill pushed him.

Once Richie caught his balance and yelled, “Look Bill! I’m sorry! He- He kissed Mike!”

“Stuh-Stop it! Stan- He wouldn't duh-do that!” he choked on a sob.

“Bill you have to listen to me!”

“Tuh-Take it back!”

Richie’s eyes went wide. He’s heard those words before. “Bill… Please!”

“Take it back!” no stutter.

“I- I can’t!” Richie kept walking back as Bill continued forward.

“Richie!” Eddie yelled, he knew what was going to happen. His best friend against his boyfriend, it was all too familiar.

“Denbrough! Listen to me! I don’t know what happened! But they- They!-“

Bam

They all knew it was bound to happen. Bill punched him straight in the jaw.

“BILL!” Eddie screeched. He pushed past the taller boy and kneeled down to his “boyfriend” with the bloody lip, laying in the street. Heads around them were turning and the rest of the club came out from the car, including Stan and Mike.

“What’s going on?” Bev yelled, “Richie! Oh my god!”

“Bill?” Stan hurried to him and left Mike behind to help pick up Richie.

Eddie parted from his boyfriend when Mike and Ben lifted him up, “What the fuck Bill?!” Eddie pushed Bill back. He only stumbled a couple of steps.

“Hey! What happened?” Stan went between them and held onto Bill.

“You’re a piece of shit, Uris!” Eddie spat.

“Eddie!” Bev yelled

“What happened?” Ben repeated.

“Is ih-it tuh-true?” Bill said parting from Stan's arms and holding his hands.

“What?”

“You fucking kissed Mike!” Eddie yelled.

Stan’s eyes went wide and Mike looked down.

“I- I…”

“Oh muh-my god…” Bill said. He backed away from the group.

“Bill,” Bev had Eddie in a comforting hug.

“Bill wait!” Ben yelled. Richie squinted while his ear started ringing from the noise. Richie was able to stand alone now and Eddie ran to hug him.

“Bill!” Beverly ran towards the boy who started running away from the parking lot and back into the forest.

“Bev! Wait!” Ben yelled, but he was too late.

A/N: Crap sorry it’s so late you guys, I was trying to edit as fast as I could I swear! But if there are typos my bad lmao Anyway I feel like this one is a bit short but I hope you enjoy nonetheless!

I woke up with a jolt and a cold sweat, feeling like the entire room was still spinning; physically feeling like I got hit by an eighteen wheeler. I brushed some of the mess of hair from my face and through half lidded eyes I tried to look around the room to make sure I didn't end up in some stranger’s place; thankfully for my dignity I wasn’t but unfortunately for my ego, I wasn’t.

“Ugh what time is it?” I groaned reaching for my phone on the nightstand. Fumbling around the nightstand the only thing my hand was met with was the touch activated lamp that blinded me with a bombardment of light. “Argh no!” I threw my arm across my face. I frantically hurried to shut off the lamp that felt like it was emitting the rays from the sun. Only managing to open one eye I looked around for my phone and discovered it was strewn on the floor with a mess of clothes and shoes. I groaned again not wanting to leave the comfort of the bed, I outstretched my hand nearly falling off the bed and quickly nabbed my phone and hauling myself back into my previous position under the covers. Re-reading the last exchanges between us my heart felt like it started beating so fast that it was bound to burst right out of my chest any second. ‘Fuck. Fuck, fuck, fuuuuuuuuuuck. How could I have been so stupid?!’ I thought to myself. Normally I’d say I don't care but that is far from where I am mentally. Suddenly I was brought out of my thoughts by a loud knocking on my door. Still paranoid with the thought of J-him seeing me I climbed out of bed and approached the door carefully. The closer I got to the door the more anxious I became; that mixed with the killer hangover that hit me like a ton of bricks was quite possibly the worst combination of things that could happen at a time like this. The knocking started to feel like the noise was pounding against my skull, wanting to rid myself of this monstrous beating on my brain I opened the door without hesitation. Only to be met with the last person I would ever think would show up at my door.

“Alex?” he raised an eyebrow.

“Tim?” I reciprocated.

“Jesus H--no offence but Saige wasn’t kidding when she said you might look like you crawled out of Hell this morning”

I clenched my jaw “Just come in before anyone else has to endure my ugly” I slammed the door shut behind him causing myself to wince at what sounded like an explosion went off in my brain.

Trailing behind him I watched him maneuver his way over the mess that was all over the floor; just clothes and shoes in different piles scattered in every square inch of the room.

“Jeez, you didn’t want to clean up first?” he said finally making it to the bed.

Too exhausted to argue I rolled my eyes and plopped back on the bed beside him.

“Man, guess you had a good night last night?” he smiled leaning back on his elbows.

“Ugh, if this is what this hangover from Hell is indicating...I wish I hadn’t” I covered my eyes with my arm “When did you get in by the way? I thought you were going to be in Japan until tomorrow? And not that I don’t love you but why are you here in the first place?”

The older man stopped in his tracks causing the maknae to slightly bump into him “Seungri we’ve all been friends for longer than ten years, don’t you think if he actually wanted you dead he would have done it by now?” he smiled and continued walking.

Seungri stuck in the spot that he stood thought before he spoke “You know that’s not actually very reassuring!” he called after his Hyung.

Young-Bae now at the end of the hallway shot Seungri another smile but this one evoking an eye smile along with it. The maknae picked up his pace and swifty jogged to the older man’s position. Both now staring down the door to Ji-Yong’s condo they both were thinking about the repercussions of actually waking the dragon. Young-Bae not wanting to take the first blow pushed the younger man in front of him.

“Well go ahead, knock on the door” he gestured with his hand.

Seungri dramatically pointed to himself “Me? You want me to knock on the door?”

The older man nodded.

“Hyung were you not listening to anything I was saying back there?” he stared at Young-bae incredulously “Wow. you all must really want me out of BigBang, well it was nice knowing you”

“Yah” the older man smacked him behind the head “Don’t be so melodramatic and knock on the door would you? And besides we can't afford to lose you. You're too important”

The younger man rubbed the back of his head “Wah. do you mean that Hyung?”

“Yea if we lose you then who else are we going to pick on? Dae-Sung? Not on your life” he said with a smug smile on his face.

The maknae looked to the heavens and closed his eyes, cursing at his Hyungs in his head; the only place he was safe to do so.

“Yah!” another smack to the back of the head “Quit being a dick in your thoughts and knock on the damn door!”

Seungri went wide eyed; guess he wasn’t so safe in his own mind after all. He shakily raised his fist in the air toward the ever menacing black door. What laid beyond that threshold could either be a nice Ji-Yong welcoming them into his home or the actual Ji-Yong who was going to rip Seungri a new one for waking him. The maknae took a deep breath before he gave three small knocks.

“Hyung?” he whispered.

Young-Bae side eyed him “What human being in your right mind is going to be able to hear that?” The older man grabbed a hold of the maknae’s fist and raised it to pound on the door.

“No, Hyung wait!”

With not even a full knock, the door swung wide open. As if it were some cartoon, the two stuck both their heads over the threshold and looked inside.

“Hello?” they said in unison.

The two stood up straight and began to walk over the threshold at the same time only to get halted by squashing into each other. The older man glared at the maknae and shoved his shoulder to get by. Seungri merely rubbed his shoulder and closed the door behind him. Looking around the living room gave no impression of anyone actually living there, everything was perfectly in its place making it look like it was some kind of eerie museum. “Ji-Yong-ah?” Young-Bae called out peeking into every doorway. Seungri having already accepted his fate decided to go rifle around his Hyung’s things in his living room; picking up a sculpture here, touching a nicknack there, leaving fingerprints on his vinyl records...whoops, breaking off a piece of said sculpture. “Yah” Young-Bae called out to him. The maknae quickly put down the abstract sculpture and shoved the broken piece behind some books on the bookshelf. He looked to his Hyung who was whispering ‘he’s in there’ and pointing to the door that was left ajar. Again as if the two were in some Scooby-Doo cartoon, they carefully tiptoed into the sleeping man’s room. There sprawled out all over the bed, with half of the sheets and comforter dangling off the bed, was the sleeping form of their best friend. With his mouth parted and a slight trail of drool coming out of his mouth Ji-Yong let out a loud snore that startled the maknae causing him to step back onto a squeaky cat toy; Young-Bae slapped him on his shoulder. “Yah! Are you trying to to get us killed?!” he whispered loudly. “I thought you said you had nothing to worry about!” Seungri loudly whispered back. “I don’t! I’m just worried about you” the two of them continued their whisper argument only to be startled again. “Yah! If you two are done pretending like I can’t hear you, you can both kindly get the fuck out” Ji-Yong lifted his head up sleepily. “Sorry” the other two said in unison. “What do you even want at this hour?” he said plopping his head back into his sea of pillows and tangled bed sheets. “It’s three in the afternoon” they said again in unison. Ji-Yong dazedly lifted his head again looking toward his window “No it's not there’s no sun” Walking to the window Young-Bae pulled the curtains back “that's because you live like a vampire and have black out curtains “ “Yah!” Ji-Yong struggled to bury himself under his sheets “What are you trying to kill me?!” “Ok enough” the dreaded man walked to his bedside “we dealt with your drunk ass last night, it's all been fun and games but now it’s time to wake the fuck up” he pulled him by the only foot that was sticking out of the covers. Ji-Yong clawing at his bed like a cat protested. “Come on man just get up!” “Do we have a photoshoot?” he asked in a muffled voice with his face firmly planted onto the mattress. “No?” “Music video shoot?” “No?” “An interview?”

Young-Bae simply leaned against the furthest wall and looked down at his feet, still fuming about his little spat with his best friend. Seungri, even in everyday situations, made his way into the kitchen last. He caught a glimpse of his Hyung’s laptop screen and immediately stopped mid-step. Ji-Yong raised an eyebrow “what did some porn pop up or something?” he asked lighting his cigarette “N-no. just a picture of” he cleared his throat “Kim Tae-Hee popped up” he gave a weak smile.

The older man gave him a questioning look “Ahh ok?” and turned to ash his cigarette in the ashtray before him. His fingers slightly trembling from the actions of the previous night caused him to accidentally drop his cigarette into the sink. “Aish!” he hollered as he threw his now soggy cigarette into the bin and turned away from the other two to light another one. The maknae, wide eyed, looked to his other Hyung as a plea for help. Trying to subtly beg the dreaded man with his eyes that he needed him to distract Ji-Yong while he closes out of the webpage on the laptop’s screen; needless to say his actions were lost in translation. Young-Bae not understanding what the younger man was trying to tell him raised an eyebrow and mouthed ‘what?’, Seungri balled his fists in silent frustration and turned the screen toward his oblivious Hyung and emphatically pointed to the news article that blatantly held pictures of ‘DO NOT CALL HER’ in the arms of a man that wasn’t Ji-Yong and at the same exact club they were at the night before no less! Young-Bae went wide eyed and quickly dashed in the direction of the unsuspecting man before he could turn back around; he put his arm around his shoulder. Ji-Yong feeling suspicious about his two friend’s actions wasn't sure what to think; truthfully he didn’t want to think at all he’d much rather be back in bed ignoring everyone. The maknae glanced as his two Hyungs talked it out and as Young-Bae took it upon himself to have a death grip on Ji-Yong’s shoulder forcing him to look out the window as he poetically described the meaning of their friendship to him. Seungri acting quickly turned the laptop back toward him and carefully closed the article but not before looking at all the pictures and reading the headline. ‘Alexandra McMahon Out Partying in Seoul With Mystery Man: Keep reading for pictures below’.
