For some reason I have spent quite some time doing some "world building" (if it can be called that) that I probably won't add in the comic, so, gonna dump it all here.

The school is not the best of all, not even by public school standards, if anything, the school is often a second choice, and most of those who enter there are mostly bc it has little requirements to get in, and is very lenient to special cases.

Some examples of these people would be Freddy (he enters after the classes started) Bon, Julian (both didn't enter the private school they were going to at the last minute, so they got "stuck" in that school, there's more to them later)

For the school itself, it's not that bad (there's a reason that many ppl prefer to go there as a second choice in comparison to other schools) the classes are fairly decent (though, some teachers are prone to not show up to class), and it has a bunch of academic and sports programs, even though it kinda lacks on the cultural aspect. Until a new benefactor steps in.

So, after Julian failed miserably during his entrance exams for the private school he was going into, his father got him into the school he is in now, and to "cover up" the incident his dad decided to become a benefactor of the school, and bc of that, now the school has more budget, with the condition of using it for the whole "art" section (idk how to call it). And out of the blue, the school now has an improved auditorium, a bunch of new material and instruments, and, of course, a variety of new activities for the students, starting with a brand new band contest where everyone can participate, who knows what might happen next, maybe there'll be an official school band, or a chorus or something, (this is all really just testing how the students might take the new situation)

**Julian exposition time again!. Let's go. He basically burned himself out for trying to study for the entrance exams, finish middle school, and all that. It was bad, like, forgetting weeks worth of studies the moment you start the exam bad, like staring at the questions for the whole 3ish hours of the test while none of the questions make sense bad, like, flunking so embarrassingly that it's basically a secret, to the point your dad makes up an elaborate plan to hide the true reason you're going to a certain school, and forces you to take a different path than the one he had already set up for you bc you couldn't keep up bad. Like, that bad. (Poor guy, every time I check on what his deal is, I add more to it. I'm sorry but I like it when the characters'actions are part of the setup of the story, idk how to explain but is Fun)

Now, onto the ppl behind the music contest.

Lana*- secretary- the one actually in charge of the contest

Vincent (yes, the waiter/presenter*) - intern teacher- the one who is supposed to do most of the work

Owynn- student 15 yr old- he helps out every now and then bc he has nothing better to do w no ulterior motives :)

Bon's dad*- music teacher (I'll get to that, hold on)- he has to set up practice sessions/ music classes for whoever enters the contest

[insert OC name here] (an oc wow)- student/intern 17 yr old- the one who ended up doing most of everything

*giving them roles bc I'm lazy 4 ocs, even [insert OC name] is almost the librarian, yeah he's another different character

The arrangement goes like this: Lana is the head of the project and the one who reports back to the boss (between the principal and Julian's dad idk). The planning of events, the coverage, and those administrative details get solved by Vincent, and Bon's dad is supposed to manage the music rooms and instruments, as well as make schedules for using those for practices. [Insert OC name] does most of the hard labor, checking registrations, putting up the signs, etc., since their job as an intern is basically to help w anything that needs to be done. And also basically doing all of Bon's dad responsibilities since he doesn't actually have the time to do his job as a teacher.

Figured I should make a pinned post so people know what I'm about and whatnot

I'm an aspiring author and maybe game developer if I can ever get through all the godot engine tutorials (and learn how to make good pixel art). She/Her, not a minor. I'll go by pretty much any variation of my username (Red, Ready, Panda, etc. whatever floats your boat)

I mostly just dump whatever random posts I like in this blog. I tend to go through fandom phases so expect to see a ton of posts about one thing followed by radio silence (it's not that I stopped liking that thing---I just have fairly short brainrot turnover) I also have a sideblog, @readydrone, just for murder drones content, but it's fairly inactive as of late (see aformentioned brainrot turnover)

In terms of writing, some genres and tropes I like are:

fantasy (easy to read, also fairly easy to write given my style)

science fiction (idk I guess at the end of the day I just think robots and aliens are cooler than elves and dwarves)

drama (ooey-gooey character drama is my real specialty, fantasy and scifi are just flavors of the world tbh)

really great characters and character interactions

romance? sometimes? (bonus points if it's dual POV)

non-human characters (I just think they're neat)

I have too many WIP stories to list here, but I'll give a brief synopsis of some of the ones that are more important to me/relevant (since I tend to jump around which WIP stories I'm working on)

Fantasy drama about a human and a siren starting a band:

The human can speak to the ocean and plays the lute

The siren, due to an injury, can't talk or sing underwater and is fascinated by life on land

ANYWAY it's like 4 am and I haven't been sleeping well since who knows but uh working on an assignment that I thought was due much sooner but isn't so I'm just taking a break from this to post some stuff I've made while I was inactive!

yo! lot's happened since i was last actively here. i turned 22 and graduated college!!!!!

i'm not doing much these days, as i'm waiting to find work once i move back up to where i used to live in august. new area but same general vicinity. so right now we're just going through the storage unit so that's ofc been taking up some time.

okay onto actually being here. i've been real down in the dumps about my art lately, feeling like i have no chance in the industry, leaving school with a portfolio i don't think will get me places. i kinda flip-flop on that when i actually look at my website, but i know there's so much more i can/have to do.

SO. i've decided instead of sitting on my ass and living in the sadness as i try to draw and have what i make leave me upset, i'm taking the step to do something about it! i'm gathering some resources and am just gonna start from the beginning with foundations.

i'm hoping to post my (almost) daily progress somewhere (as in here) just to have it out in the world and hold myself accountable somewhat. it's gonna suck, i know it will, but i have to remind myself that a bunch of terrible drawings will lead to something good.

i was watching a samdoesart video where he was talking about older creatives who're upset when they see these teen prodigies and he brought up a good point: those kids are likely spending every single day drawing for hours--they have more active art time under their belts. and looking at my k12 years and how focused i was on getting good grades, being president of clubs, and dealing with my own array of issues, i did leave art to the wayside at times. it got bad as i got older because more intensive work (honors/aps, yucky)--even during college i wouldnt draw much as I was modeling and 3D animating and all that!!

there's a lot of topics i wanna cover as an artist, which i know is frowned upon by some in the industry as you should have a designated, specified portfolio (for multiple reasons all of which make perfect sense), but i'll see what happens as i keep going through my learning.

anyway. i think im using this as an opportunity to not get started teehee SO LET'S GO

right now i'm going to be using line-of-action and drawabox. i've literally taken anatomy and figure drawing classes before and i loved them but uugghh. they're saying drawabox is tough and i'm like sure, but it's free and you go at your own pace. idk, i guess i'll see what happens. And I'm in the same boat, anon. There is not enough Fisk/Matt content, so I'm always having to make my own. lol. I see little surges of interest sometimes. Like when S3 came out, when Fisk and Matt showed up in the MCU last year, and when Daredevil was put on D+ this year. It always makes a few people go, "Hmmmm. 🤔" I'm hoping whenever Daredevil+ series comes out, some new shippers will manifest.

I have been shipping OTP since 2015 and Fisk/Matt had that radio call in episode 1x06. 👀 I didn't think I was actively going to ship anything in Daredevil, and then Fisk: "I'd like to speak to the Man in the Mask, please." (So polite, that crime lord.) I didn't even know I shipped it, but I was suddenly so excited as if I did. 😂 My exact reaction:

For further FM fic reading... idk. There's the short tag (half of it me pfft) on AO3 you've read. I have several WIPs in the fire, I just have to buckle down and finish them. 😅 I have gone into the Daredevil Kink Meme before when I've been really desperate for FM fics. There aren't a lot of prompts for them, of course, and even fewer that have been filled, but there's still some not on AO3.

ALSO! I am 24/7/365 accepting FiskMatt prompts in my inbox. I can't guarantee I'll fill a prompt or that I'll fill it in a timely manner, but I'd love to get one that tickles my interests or even just inspires me in other ways. ♥

And, to state the obvious, there's always the comics for more content with Fisk and Matt. Daredevil comics are 98% of the reason I have a Marvel Unlimited subscription. (But there are places to read for free. Let me know if you're interested.) None of it is overtly shippy (though I can read between so many lines), but it still contains really good plots and interactions.

Welp another week’s passed and I’m here once again with my dump of drawing’s I’ve done XD NONE OF THEM ARE REVOLTALE but I have something in the works thanks to an anonymous ask (also shamelessly gonna remind y’all that I’m perfectly open for random asks at any time, I may just be slow because I always wanna draw stuff for them and I’m a slow artist XD)

BUT YES, TODAY’S ART HAUL (the rest of my spiel is gonna be under a cut, this is long enough already)

I won’t go into it all too much as I have captions for all this stuff (and for my last batch, which I think I FORGOT TO MENTION AHHH) but I do gotta say a little because tagging is necessary.

First pic is ME!! But drawn, to use for... something. IDK yet. Likely as something to liven up my picarto stream looks XD

the next three lovely skele’s are @lavender-sans character’s Lavender Sans and Thistle’s Trickster!Virus versions, Pickles and Bacon respectively. (The other coloured version of Thistle is a recolour requested by a friend, I liked it enough to throw it in here too!) These were actually a bunch of fun to draw up and I’m really happy with the bright colours and how it all turned out.

The last few faces are all character WIP’s, some more in production than others (*COUGH COUGH* THE FIRST GUY *COUGH*)

So this is this week’s art haul! I’m wondering if I should make this more of a thing so that this blog’s more active with stuff of my own, even if it isn’t directly Revoltale related. I’d love to hear if you guys think that’s a good idea or not, though :D
