i get so confused when i see people say sonic should treat amy better. not because i think sonic should be a jerk to her or anything but because hes ALREADY nice to her. theyre really good friends? what are you talking about

#and i Know its because sonic was always ignoring or turning down amys romantic advances #back when she was really obvious about her crush and always trying to get him to date her #which is really stupid. because theyre not dating why should sonic have had to tolerate or play along with that stuff #just because you like someone doesnt mean they owe you romantic affection.#not even if theyre your friend. not even if theyre nice to you. not even if youre nice to them #(not saying amy thinks shes entitled to a romantic relationship with sonic but the people im talking about seem to think she is)#and from what i remember even when amy was at her worst with that kinda stuff sonic still wasnt mean to her?#the worst he would do is tell her no when she asked him to marry her or whatever or be visibly uncomfortable with whatever she said or did #which are not unreasonable reactions to have to something like that #and in the more recent stuff sonic isnt even doing that because amys crush is almost never brought up anymore #so they just have a completely normal friendship like they would have with anyone else.#and to be clear im not complaining. i like seeing sonic and amy be best friends without annoying romance stuff getting in the way #i just dont know what more these people want. sonic doesnt have to be nicer to her because hes already nice to her
