Spoiler question but do you think you know who from this week's quest will become a you know what?
Will Amanda become a Guardian, I assume!
I don't think so. I don't think it would serve any purpose. Her story came to an end; we learned all we needed to learn about her and she went out the way she lived and for what she believed in. There's also nothing really pointing to her being that relevant to bring back. Like, purely from a technical standpoint; they removed her as a vendor and gave her a send-off, complete with her entire backstory. Making her a Guardian would just be making a new character with her model, but new. I can't see them doing that.
One thing that I also feel like people are forgetting, somehow, is that if she becomes a Guardian, she will not be Amanda. Like, that will be a new character. Nothing she's done before will matter. Crow and Savathun were exceptions central to the story to go forward so they had exceptional stories where they got their memories back. Amanda simply is not. She died and even if she becomes a Guardian, there's no more Amanda. It would be a blank slate. No matter what, all of her conflicts and relationships are over.
I just don't think we need a blank slate New Light Guardian right now or that Bungie would keep her in the game like this currently. I think this season was centered on wrapping up stuff about her, giving her a full scope of the backstory and basically letting us say goodbye. It does not read like a setup for a new Guardian.
Obviously, Bungie could have something extraordinary planned out that we can't possibly guess and that would make Amanda returning as a Guardian really compelling. Who knows! Maybe this is something that will happen down the line. As in, after this saga ends and some new story in the setting begins!
But right now? Until the saga ends? I just do not think Amanda as a Guardian is a storyline that needs to be told while we're scrambling to wrap up loose ends before The Final Shape. She was a human face to the war and a victim of it, something to remind us about our mortality and the fact that we're not invincible. Despite Guardians and all our powers, we are fighting for people who are mortal and fragile and those people also have the right to defend their home. Amanda took that very seriously and helped a lot of people, but ultimately at the cost of her own life.
Bringing her back could offer some potential stories, absolutely, depending on how you want to take things in the future. But overall, I just think it's not likely for her to be planned to return as a Guardian, at least not within the scope of the current story. Of course we can't really know what's in store, but from what we do know (lore-wise and meta-wise), the likelihood of this happening is very low.

Cait's sacrifice versus Vi's predictability
Tumblr media
I have issues with this scene/line. Or Cait's role in general at the beginning of this scene.
I have ranted a lot about how imo a big problem of season 2 is that to me (1) Vi really needed more combat effectiveness in Act 2 2.) it sometimes feels like the two most important people in her life and story, Jinx and Caitlyn, have decided that Vi doesn't get to make decisions.
(I feel like I have another rant inside of me on that, so that might still be coming)
I consumed one of the Amanda interviews and imo in one she spun a pretty good tale. I remember it as that essentially this is a big deal, this means Cait was giving Vi an escape, that she was willing to let Vi go, to give her up. That at that point, she didn't know that she would see Vi again or lose her forever.
And you know, I can vibe with that. That's the kind of thing I could get into. Caitlyn lunderstanding that Vi would try to get to Jinx. Caitlyn having seen Jinx's protectiveness of Vi after Vi got injured at least having enough trust that Jinx won't be a danger to Vi. Caitlyn leaving the tools behind for Vi to go and free Jinx. Caitlyn sitting back in her room not knowing whether Vi will choose to run off with Jinx (like was brought up during the season 1 dinner). Caitlyn going down and not being sure what she'll find. Caitlyn not knowing if she'll see Vi again.
Except that last bit? I don't buy.
Cait doesn't look surprised or relieved to see Vi is still there.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And every single line she says:
"I had a feeling I might find you here" "You really think I needed all the guards at the hexgates?" "Sorry to say, you've grown a bit predictable"
Just emphasizes that she knew what would happen and that Vi would be there. The opposite of "she was worried that she might have lost Vi and not see her again".
It makes her feel very in control (again specialy combined with "master detective and analyst Caitlyn" and we already had Caitlyn very similarly predicting Vi would join the enforcers especially if combined with certain leading actions from Caitlyn).
Again, that doesn't undo other aspects of the scene. There's still "Caitlyn knows Vi very well" and it's still a sacrifice there for Caitlyn because she's letting Jinx go free despite Cait's wish for revenge and over any fears that Jinx might hurt or kill more people when she's out there or any ideas about justice and punishment.
But as far as "Caitlyn was willing to give Vi up and didn't know if she had lost her forever" goes? I gotta go head canon rejected on that one. Yes of course there was still a potential chaos chance here, but if everything about the scene, everything about the dialogue signals that Cait knew Vi would be there, I just can't give credit. You don't get bravery points for betting on red when you know for sure red will come up next.
My theory is that the scene is the way it is because the focus is more on Vi. Caitlyn can't look glad and relieved because we start the scene Vi beating herself up about making the wrong choices and fearing Caitlyn will be angry at her and that she'll lose Caitlyn.
In the situation, Caitlyn's light and humorous touch likely is the completely right strategy. And Caitlyn saying and signaling "I always knew what choice you'd make and I'm okay with it, I wanted you to make it, this is a safe space for your choices" is probably exactly what Vi loves to here.
So it work for Vi and Vi's perspective in this scene. It's just not how I usually prefer my couples to be written. I always like couples best when to me they feel like a balance, two strong point of views, two strong stories against each other. Rather than "this is the blorbo and that is the blorbo being acted on" or "this is the blorbo and this is the blorbo being serviced".
(again this doesn't mean that not both Caitlyn and Vi have strong stories, just that it doesn't always congeal correctly for me in s2, but then again, how some aspects of CaitVi in s2 feel fanficcy to me and a good example of how fanfic dynamics can work but can also just feel off sometimes)

SPOILERS AHEAD Episode 4 Double Exposure Rapid Fire Thoughts After I Just Finished Two Route's:
A: I'm so conflicted on Safi. I like her personality a lot, and I do want her and Max to share passionate yet tender kiss, but the girl is a loose canon. And not in the "reckless but mostly harmless" way that was true for Chloe. Safi is reckless in the "The world hurt me so I have the right to burn it to the ground" kind of way, and that makes me nervous....It's also kinda hot though.
B: I'm about to be controversial on main I think...but I don't really like Amanda. It just gets on my nerves that every time Max does anything ever she's like "I don't like that side of you. :(" Okay. Girl. I don't think you like any side of Max other than her emotional unavailability.
C: I actually like Vinh a bit! Not as a romance option, but I think he's an interesting character with a lot of nuance. Plus, I do like his and Max's dynamic a whole lot. They just seem like fun friends.
D: Moses is still wonderful, but there was no doubt in my mind that would stay true. He honestly might end up taking my favorite character crown. (Also, his reaction to the gingerbread chimmy genuinely made me sad lmao.)
E: OH AND SPEAKING OF SAD Max talking about sacrificing Chloe/Arcadia Bay hit hard. "I choose the blue-haired girl" almost made me crawl up the wall because of the way Max said it.
F: I really didn't think Diamond or Reggie were going to be semi- important characters, so I don't pay much attention to them in Episode 1 or 2. When I replay the game I'm going to have to give them the focus they deserve.
G: I wasn't super big on any of the choices this episodes. They all seemed 1. Easy. 2. Like the game was pointing you in a specific direction. I feel like the Vinh/Safi choice should have been hard, but since the game basically grabs your shoulder and says "Safi needs to learn to solve her problems without her powers." the choice seems more clear than it should have.
H: I think I would rate this episode a 6.5/10 I think?? It felt really slow in certain places, but when the scenes finally got there they were pretty good! I really liked Max and Safi's talk along with getting to expose Lucas for his fuckary, but the final end scene just...didn't do it for me. Safi's Dad wasn't built up enough for me to care about it as a plot point, and Max once again back peddled on her development from the first game. So I feel conflicted about this chapter overall. IIIIIIIIII don't know where I'd rank this game compared to the others. I don't want to be a Debbie downer, but I am getting rapidly nervous that I'm going to come out of this experience going "Well. That was a game."

Swedish frustration: "Very easily bought"
HAMILTON/STOCKHOLM. Grumpy, whiny, free kicks and choppy play.
The Swedes were forced to resort to different methods to keep calm against Argentina.
- Instead of getting angry, I laughed, says Magdalena Eriksson.
Sweden did not have a pleasant journey to victory when Argentina was the opposition in the third group stage match in the World Cup.
The first half ended 0–0 and it was sometimes frustrated in Blågult.
- I think it was a bit too easy free kicks. In the first half, I think there were a lot of hiccups in the match and it was difficult to get a rhythm going. They throw themselves quite a lot and the referee blows for it, says Sofia Jakobsson.
- I like to play physically, but I also think that they are very loud and get down on almost everything and get the referee with them. So we just try to keep it up and not think about the referee and their whiny game so much, says Stina Lennartsson.
Schough's Wrath
Olivia Schough took it seriously when she criticized opponents and referees.
- It was... It was probably the worst thing I have ever encountered. I get a yellow card and absolutely, it's a free kick but they reinforce everything and this referee was very easily bought it felt like. As soon as they screamed they got it and it's hard when the referee doesn't get control of it at all. Then they just continue. That was the sad thing about the whole match, that there was no flow, says Schough.
What do you say to the judge then?
- (Caroline) Seger took and talked to her calmly and calmly several times but obviously it didn't help.
Amanda Ilestedt also sends a boot to judge Salima Mukansanga from Rwanda.
- There they have to make an analysis that it was not good enough, says the centre-back.
"Falls easily"
Anna Sandberg thought the game became choppy.
- It was boring with the easy free kicks, but I think we fight well and go into the duels hard. We show that we are not backing down, she says.
Magdalena Eriksson says that Sweden knew the Argentine tactics.
- Partly that it would be Argentine shoes that fall easily and partly a referee who is quick to blow, says Eriksson.
- We understood in the first five minutes that it would be like that. There was nothing we could do about it then and there and we were very good at spreading the message not to put energy on the referees, but to focus on our own game.
Eriksson's trick
Several times the players ended up in heated discussions with their opponents and Eriksson has a couple of tricks to not lose his composure on the pitch.
- That's something you learn over the years, to "don't get frustrated Magda". That's what I try to tell myself all the time. Instead of getting angry, I laughed to spread joy in my body. It actually worked, I managed to stay calm and not freak out. Because I also felt that it is important that I don't get a yellow card or do something stupid. It is totally unnecessary. So it was about coaching yourself to stay calm and spreading that to the rest of the team, she says.
Sweden defeated Argentina 2–0 .

I don't think that "we were interested in those characters (ie [my guess] Caitlyn, Jinx, Warwick, Viktor)" implies "we don't think Vi is interesting".
My suspicion is more that they saw it "Vi got her turn and now we also want to do those other characters".
Take Silco for example. My guess is that they enjoyed writing him, but they felt that his story came to a natural and so they killed him and didn't feature him a ton in season 2. They had gotten what they wanted out of him. Silco fans clearly felt very differently. But in the end, it is their call to make.
Writers will always make decisions about who gets screentime and hero moments and badass lines. Them making Vi the character with the most focus in season 1 in itself is a favoritism choice because from an IP point of view, all these charactres are pre-existing and there is no practical reason to make Vi the point of view character of season 1 when in game is is equal to Caitlyn and to Ekko and to Viktor and to Bliktzcrank and to Camille and to 100 characters that didn't make it into the show.
They chose her because they like her (favoritism) and because they had potential. But they also like other charactres and see potential in other stories.
. If Vi is not interesting for you to explain to us more then why did you make us attached to her?
I find that an approach I can't get behind. The same logic could be used by the Silco fans to argue "you made us love Silco now you HAVE to make season 2 completely about him". What if fans have decided they have attached to Heimerdinger or to I dunno, the SevikaxSalo pairing and now the writers OWE them. (also worth nothing, it seems season 2 was written in 2019? before Arcane ever aired to the general public)
In the end to some extent it is normal that the writers want to make you care about all the characters, but they will make calls about what to focus on.
Don't get me wrong, I DEEPLY dislike many of their decisions. I for example DEEPLY think that doing the whole Viktor glorious evolution stuff and making it the main threat of Act 3 was a strategic mistake.
But at the same time, reading/listening to the interviews I understand that it's a story he really wanted to tell and it's one the artists put tons of creative effort in and some fans are into it and others (like me) aren't.
In the end, they get to have artistic freedom. (and I'm glad that he's at least smart enough to want to step away and have the next stories handled by other people)
they made her a dumbass character who only understands fighting,
That's not the vibe I got from season 2. I see a lot of traces of Vi having good instincts about people (ie following Singed, Remi's people). Act 1 seemed to be about the moral instincts vis a vis Cait.
Amanda Overton did an interview from which I got "We wanted to explore who Vi is if you take everything away from her/we see Vi's fundamental trait as being a protector and we wanted to explore who she is if she no longer has anybody to protect". To which I say ... okay... but it feels like the answer you came up with is something like "a shellshocked self destructive traumatized husk"?
I genuinely don't think that it's that much of a problem that they made Vi so heavily about physical fighting... it's that they did that and THEN made her fighting pretty useless? I wrote a lenthy analysis of the finale battle and I genuinely think that if Vi had gotten to be more heroic and successful, even just in a pure physical sense we would have walked away feeling a lot better about Vi. At least superficial satisfaction for "she's a figther and being a fighter is important and valuable and essential to this world".
Caitlyn and Ekko do heroic moves in the battle because of their smarts and their iron hard determination. Jinx and Jayce do heroic moves by reaching out to the baddie and doing heroic sacrifice. And what does Vi do?
I think it's one thing that let's say Vi fans wanted deep hurt-comfort exploration of Vi's trauma. I would say that was always unlikely to happen (I feel the same way when I see people the bemoan that the show wasn't about Zaun crushing Piltover in the dirt of Mel fans saying they wish the show had been only about schemes and politics and not action fighting). But imo they failed Vi even within the story they gave her.
I genuinely think Vi's story would have "rolled off the tongue" better if she had been down there with Caitlyn fighting back to back against Ambessa instead of Mel. Or if it had been her instead of Ekko smashing Viktor's mask.
Of it the show ended up on Vi finding the evidence that Jinx might still alive and not Caitlyn. (signalling = oh, Vi smart)
Or if the show had ended on episode 8. If it would have felt that the conclusion of her story is "okay, if you strip her of everthing, then Vi will choose life, symbolized by her having sex with Caitlyn". But instead we have:
1.) a whole episode where Vi does barely anything except watch in horror as other people die (after we already had that sort of in the Act 2 finale too)
2.) the looming idea that Jinx might be alive and okay ... so how would Vi feel about that? It leaves her story feeling unfinished in a particularly unsatifying way
(I compare that to Ekko for example, Ekko is strictly speaking in the same situation where if Jinx faked her death he doesn't know and his ending is very mornful and bittersweet-to-bitter. But I think it works better because his theme that arc was the whole "leaping forward while leaving something behind", so I personally walk away with a slighty better feeling for Ekko, like he would understand. But of course he also got "wins". He smashes Viktor's mask. He talks Jinx out of suicide. He is just a supporting character (outside of maybe episode 7), but you can still feel good about his character).
Vi was not devoid of good character moments. Her standing up to Cait at the end of Act 1 was an important moment. Her trusting Jinx and about Vanderwick was an important moment. The problem is that Act 3 doesn't manage to tie to together in a way that is satisfying.
"Dirt under your nails" isn't without merit. I guess it's supposed to signal to us, that no matter what you take away from Vi (original family, Jinx, Vanderwick) she will keep on fighting? But it just feels kind of meh, especially with how ill fitting she was in the big action finale.
I'm afraid the same writers will be writing the next shows.
They won't. For one supposedly the Noxus show has been in the works for a year while Arcane was still being finished. And Christian Linke had talked explicitly about how he wanted to find new people to tell those other stories. That they think of the new shows as representing the regions and him and Alex were the right people for Piltover and Zaun but they need to find somebody else for Noxus for example.
I wouldn't rule out that he might do another show (he has mentioned somewhere that he would like to maybe do more with the more whimsical parts of the IP, but to be honest, other parts of statement sound like they were pretty exhausted [and that was before the criticism over the finale was in] )
My guess is the Noxus thing will have a different creative team with their own priorities. (that said this approach with a multi character focus might by a likely side effect of League and of how League is structured).
For what it's worth, I don't think you and I ware even that much in disagreement about the flaws of season 2. i just don't think that switching Vi to supporting was necessary impossible to pull off. I think there's plenty of ways that could have been done and still have left her with a story that makes the fans feel reasonably good about it.
(for what it's worth, I think Warwick's story was also extremely messy and similarly jumbled as Vi's even thought that was one of the new stories they wanted to tell. Or the Commander Caitlyn story was introduced with so much pomp in Act 1, I wouldn't say it was completely fumbled [it ends with Caitlyn's badass sacrifice of her eye], but I would argue it still wasn't as emotionally resonant as it could have been, this is my read of Jinx's ending btw and why I think it is meant to be uplifting by the writers [mileage may vary])
Vi season 2
Tumblr media
Saying this about Vi, considering the fact that fundamentally the very basis of the show is about the relationship between her and Jinx is INSANE. The description for the show literally tells the audience it’s a story about two sisters and because the writers grew uninterested with one of them, they sidelined her.
I’m happy she got her happy ending, and i do believe that her writing remained consistent, my biggest issue with Vi this season was that she did feel sidelined, THAT was very obvious. I love her as a character outside of her relationship with Jinx and Caitlyn, however we didn’t get to see that this season.
Regardless if the ending stayed the same, Jinx and Vi barely interacting in the last act felt off. It’s really disappointing to see that one of the shows main and most important characters get sidelined in favour of others
anyway yeah there’s my rant bc seeing this shit on twitter has been pissing me off

I still hate the way they have Garland so negative about Elliot and also Kat having a lot of frustration with Carisi. People talk about how these characters didn't "mesh" with the audience as much and I just don't know how to feel about that because both came from a very different place and tried to share more progressive viewpoints and it feels like a lot of people didn't give them a chance because of it. But at the same time I hate they were sort of challenging. Does this make any sense?
I don't hate the way they have Garland be negative about Elliot bc based on the information Garland has Garland should be negative about Elliot. Elliot is trouble. That's part of the appeal, and he's working his way back to proving that he is better than the legacy he's left on paper and he will prove that, but he's gotta get there and especially when he first turns up he is. Not there.
Kat's frustration with Carisi I can't speak to, bc I have only seen her arc once and I don't recall the details.
If the characters didn't mesh with the audience that's on the writers. I gotta admit I didn't love Kat, but she was new! She needed time to find her feet - I didn't care about Amanda right away, either. And I don't think bringing in the Chief character to be such a vital part of the cast was the right call, bc it pushes the focus away from the cases and onto like the behind closed doors politicking which was never the focus of the show; if they'd brought in the actor to play a seasoned detective who was transferred into the unit and created some tension that would have been more effective imo. There's a reason it was four detectives and a captain and an ada for so long; it kept the focus on the investigation and the trials, and kept the cast tight enough that everybody got a fair amount of screentime and the audience could connect with them. The Chief isn't going on the stand, the Chief isn't out in the field, the Chief doesn't really have cause to interact with the detectives, just with Liv. So spending screentime on a character who by definition isn't spending time with the others stretches the story out too thin. I liked Garland as a character but that role doesn't mesh - by definition cannot mesh - with the rest of the cast. I think it hurt Kat too bc she doesn't have a partner to play off of. Fin and Amanda were partners from the beginning, and they're the old hands, and Kat gets bounced back and forth between them and doesn't have a grounding, pivotal relationship to help us see who she is.
and it's sticky, too, bc how much of them not meshing is poor writing, and how much of it is middle america's racism? everybody has subconscious bias, to one extent or another, and it's important to examine that.

Okay let me start by saying in the two and a bit years since I joined Tumblr I think this is the first time I have actually stayed awake for an update to post.  An what an update it was.  2.4k words of beautifully written perfection and still the tears flowed.  But let's not get ahead of ourselves for that was towards the end.  The beginning, now that was a different story.
This first bit can so easily be summed up in one near perfect word … Amanda.  Oh how I absolutely fell head over heels in love with her.  Fiercely loyal and in no way intimated by this powerfully built biker, the whole restaurant exchange between her and Ari was just perfection.  Making sure to get her point across while also having looked into every aspect of his club, it would be easy for the reader to think of her as something of a meddlesome friend, but I think this was easily negated in the somewhat respectful manner both of them exhibited throughout their conversation.  I mean let's face it, from the glimpses we've seen of their personalities it could so easily have descended into a shouting match.  But cooler heads prevailed, an adult discussion appeared to take place and our reader could rest easy in the knowledge that the two people closest to her, if not friends, at least could accept each others importance in her life.  Now if only she hadn't acted like a mommy with that sandwich comment, she'd have been a goddess 😂😂
As for the next part, well what is one supposed to say about this?  So much of biker life is marred is bloodshed and violence that we don't always see the lives behind the leather.  This is captured here beautifully.  Vernon had a life. Though he had his demons which ultimately cost him in the end, he did have people who cared about him, who grew up with him and as we see in the following were willing to include him in their lives despite his flaws.
But still future best man when Ari finished designing your ring.
“Wish you could see it,” Ari muses bitterly, tears in his eyes, bowing his head. “You’d understand this decision I’m about to make. I know you would. You told me I’d give it all up for her. You’re right. I’m gonna miss you, buddy.”
But the exchanges between Ari and the reader, now these hurt.  Heart breaking, gut wrenching hurt.  Oh sure, now one will probably say that this is a prequel so reading National Anthem gives a wider view of things for these two.  But taken as the piece it is, one can't help but want to reach out and comfort Ari.  Losing his president, his childhood friend, his club. All of these must be hard enough to take, but his girl?  Just this section alone was tear-inducing:
“You’re my family,” Ari tells you, shaking his head at your comment. “What are you doing?”
“You can’t promise me that you are always going to be safe if you take this job.  If I lose you, I will never recover. So I need to -”
“No,” Ari argues as you nod.
“Ari, please, I just -”
“No, this isn’t up for discussion. I haven’t made a decision yet.”
“But if they ask you?”
There’s a long pause.
“I have to do the right thing,” he answers.
“Then I can’t be here. I love you so much but I can’t do this.”
“Sweetheart, just,” Ari breathes, watching you stand as he follows suit. “Please don’t do this.”
“I love you,” you respond, kissing him before you sniffle, turning away from him as you pick up your keys and head to the door. “Don’t follow me, please. I need a… a day. A day, okay?”
The pain he must feel at this exchange paling in comparison to what's to come.
A single tear rolls down your cheek as your focus never wavers until your eyes close when the casket is out of view, your mouth setting into a straight line, swallowing hard.
“I love you,” you tell him softly, reaching up to kiss his cheek. “Remember that, please.”
Your fingers slip away slowly, almost in slow motion before the cold air cools off your warm touch, Ari standing alone as the club members bow their heads as you pass. A Queen without a crown, still commanding respect as if you weren’t walking out of his life.
One really feels for both of them in this moment.  And how could one not when the emotion is captured so well and their pain is so evident for all to see.  Still hope springs eternal and as stated National Anthem does exist to provide some more insight.  But it in no way diminishes this outstanding emotional roller-coaster and I for one never though I'd enjoy an Ari fic let alone fell sorry for him, but here we are and all I can hope for now is that we might get to spend a bit more time seeing where the open road takes these wonderful characters.
West Coast
@americasass81's ask got me thinking and all of a sudden I got so inspired. I hope you enjoy this prologue of how we got to the beach bonfire in National Anthem. I've sprinkled some hints in this so if you read it already, I hope you enjoy them.

Summary | A bad decision leads to fracture in your once safe space.
Tumblr media
Even though Ari all but swallows up your side of the table, Amanda keeps her eyes on him as she sips her iced tea, blinking at him while you hold your breath. Your best friend meeting your boyfriend for the first time shouldn’t be that big of a deal. Except that she’s done enough research on her own as her eyes fall back down to the patch on his kutte that makes her place her drink back down.
“She’s never even had a ticket,” Amanda says after a beat, lifting a brow. “Can you say the same?”
“No,” Ari says confidently, a smirk on his lips. “I can’t.”
Amanda’s tongue works her mouth, a slow nod that makes your stomach flip. You know Amanda wants to say something, the twitch of her lips has you wondering what she will say next. In this small restaurant, you know people are still staring at Ari, stealing glances as the sound of utensils ping on plates, the various conversations going on around you all but drowning out the sound.
“Bikers are trouble,” Amanda announces, crossing her arms over her chest. “Especially your club.”
“You’ve done your research,” Ari commends her, leaning forward. “So then you know all about our charitable contributions.”
“And the fact your club president can’t be trusted.”
Ari’s pleasant expression fades, your eyes widening at Amanda as she waits for his response.
“He’s going through some things,” Ari mutters. “Outside of the club.”
“Hmm,” Amanda responds, leaning back against her seat. “So you aren’t involved with his little arguments with a rival club?”
“No. That’s on him, not on me or the club.”
“But it could be something. Sounds like conflict.”
“And if it is, I’ll handle it. She’s safe with me.”
