Suddenly I’m really mad at dr3 again
#today it’s about hajime & chiaki again#listen them (and natsumi) were adorable and the absolute highlight of side despair#but. it completely undermines the entire point of sdr2#chiaki being an ai is Vital#bc she and hajime are parallels in the endgame#and the whole point is nobody will remember anything about her in the aftermath#hajime doesn’t want that for her & he doesn’t want that for himself#there are multiple gameplay sequences dedicated to this#also hajime becoming izuru For chiaki is a cute and tragic sentiment but also#like. yknow. the whole point is that HPA are unethical bastards taking advantage of teenagers#which they still ARE in dr3 but#well they really killed all manipulation from all aspects of dr3 tbh#like. i get hesitant over hajime and natsumi despite my love for them#bc the whole point is hajime being a teenager and HPA being manipulative and using their status#to abuse their authority and influence etc etc#i do think it’s an interesting connection between hajime and the sdr2 crew#and I liked that her death was used to emphasize how reserve students are treated by comparison#AND she was a rly great foil to hajime & chiaki’s relationship#i just dislike that chiaki exists as a real person so. it all dominos </3 sorry natsumi#don’t mind her death being a push tbh! that is canon in my heart forever#i just. gestures vaguely at chiaki
