Tbh personally I think I'd prefer the story without Gregory? I mean of course its your decision and I'll love the fic either way, but I just don't feel like Gregory would really... fit. I'm sure you'd do it in a way that would make it work great, but that's just my two cents.

ohhh i thought virtually nobody thought this way because all i was seeing was people wanting gregory to be included. which, yes, is the initial plan i had when i first started, but i removed him because i thought he would be a detriment to the plot

#ask #anon #when it comes to major characters and plots etc i tend to go with that fucking uhh reduce reuse recycle model #and i reduce. a lot #if i cant adequately justify why i should add/keep something then i tend to just remove it #which was what happened to gregory #i just didnt see how he could contribute besides easier language learning #due to sheer virtue of being another human to talk to #also im pretty sure most people want the 'y/n stays on the planet with sun and moon'#from what ive observed #adding gregory will not get that ending. it will either end up one or both dying #or they both leave the planet #there is no staying with gregory around #you cant just keep a child on an isolated planet because you didnt want to go #i will also not be nice to gregory if i add him in #he will get hurt like everybody else #and the whole isolation thing too #its not as isolating because this is a sun and moon fic and theyre y/ns companions #but they are not human and theres stuff they cant understand #adding gregory would soften the isolation aspect
