I got a little confused by the 4 day, may maybe you help me please? who is it? why we got the bad end staying the night in Ren’s apartment and he disappear of the home screen? I can’t understand “unset memory” game, sorry if I wrote smth wrong or smth sounds rude, I swear that I didn’t mean it if happened, I’m really a fan of the novel, I’ve been playing the game since day 1 or 2 I guess, probably day 1, english isn’t my first language, but I tried lol

You can only get the Dead End in Day 4 by staying at Ren's apartment — the rest of your choices before that don't matter. I'd also pay closer attention to the black smoke and Ren's reaction towards it!

Ren disappears from the home screen because he promised to help the player out (and stop them from getting the Dead End again). Try replaying the game again from the beginning for a surprise!

"Unsent Memories" was another visual novel (initially being written by @10chimes / @unsentmemory, though the project has since been dropped and handed back to me /pos) and is set in the same universe as 14 Days With You. Its storyline and characters are completely separate from 14DWY, so you don't have to worry about them while playing 14DWY.

I think the second most beautiful thing about Furiosa and Jack (the first, of course, being the "My Jack", "My Fury" scene that still hits me like a throat punch) is that they didn't try to shoehorn in a typical romance. They didn't try to force today's version of what a relationship looks like onto these two because it would have never worked.

They took Furiosa, a girl who lost everything so early, that had only been the object of powerful men, who was forced over and over and over again to relearn everything she knew at the behest of monsters dressed as leaders, and gave her the Praetorian Jack, a man in a position of power that never took anything from her at all.

Dementus took her mother, took her home, and took her voice from her under the guise of affection. She was not a person, but an appendage forcefully attached to him.

Immortan Joe, for as kindly (very loose definition of kindly) as he treated his wives, saw her as nothing more than a womb, an object that he could use to birth a boy to continue his iron rule over the Citadel. He took her personhood, her childhood, just as surely as Dementus did. They both kept her in a gilded cage that she had no hope of escaping.

Then, she became a boy, and she was still only an appendage in the great war machine of Joe. She worked with the War Boys and the Black Thumbs as a replaceable piece of his engine that would someday lose its function or die.

And when she finally, finally, gets a chance to escape, to try (and most likely fail) to go back to a home that she can't even be sure exists anymore, she loses that, too. Except, this time, the man who comes back for her doesn't offer her a cage but a key. He sees in her a picture of himself, someone who has learned to be savage by force and not by choice.

He gives her a place to learn to be a person again, gives her the tools and resources to survive, gives her the limited autonomy that his position of power brings, and eventually even gives her his own past without taking anything from her at all. He gives her all of this and then was completely willing to let her go, never presuming that he would be allowed to go with her, only wanting to help her get wherever that was. And when she chooses him, chooses to trust him with the peach pit, he looks absolutely gutted, like he never thought in his wildest dreams that she would.

Their relationship is ambiguous when you look at them through the lens of modern relationships, but it is so beautiful in the context of the world that they find themselves forced into because it is a relationship that they chose. It doesn't matter if they never kissed, or never said "I love you", because it was never about that. It was about choosing each other over and over again, trusting each other with their squishiest places, and knowing for a fact that they would never hurt each other.

Praetorian Jack was a mentor, a peer, and the only person that Furiosa had ever been allowed to choose and he chose her right back.

hello chat i um have a sort of questionn

i made these two banners; one to go under sfw posts, the other to go on under-the-cut nsfw. they're lighthearted but to the point. i generally have just fully planned to use these, but i realized i follow plenty of nsfw artists who post sfw art without anything like these. they ofc have the mdni in their bios, but nothing on specific posts. i know i'm definitely overthinking this, but i just wanted to get any sorta second opinion to see if it was a good idea to use these or not. any insight is heavily appreciated!!

Journey to Mor Pankh rerun already so I can write a piece on Kumar and Shamane and how they never could’ve been happy siblings but Kumar would’ve had a breakdown over not being able to direct her anger at him.

Shamane genuinely wanted nothing more than to be by Kumar’s side and grow up with her the second he found out she was his sister. In his flashback talking about her you could really tell that he was so dazzled like “huh I don’t really get why this cool researcher is here” but rationalized her as a friend of the family. Hell she IS his driving point. And he’s her driving point too. The second he found out that she was his SISTER? He ran away and that’s where his character story started. Which is such an important and noteworthy choice because not every character event is a backstory or tells you what a characters bond to another was.

And Kumar’s arcanum WAS strong. She MADE it strong. She wasn’t born with a gift like KB or Matilda and grew it, she had to start from what was implied to basically be nothing. Then she still became such an incredibly strong arcanists and diviner that she discovered a star far before anyone who was born with strong arcanum did. She needs more time and steps to channel a strong arcanum but KB inherited her techniques and her ability and she’s a POWERHOUSE. She throws a STAR at people and she learned that from Kumar!!! She didn’t start with talent but she built it up so far that it took basically two people on the level of someone she taught and raised from childhood to bring her down!! Even then Kumar didn’t suffer extreme of injury considering how bad a rebound on a spell like that has to be on the mental state.

Shamane was driven to the city purely because he sought out Kumar who sent him that letter. After living and learning his entire life out there he went out to find and her and I can only imagine how stoked he was. Cause he likely knew that Kumar would’ve resented him and looking at how she turned out he was the first one to understand and accept that the bridges between them were already burnt.

At the same time I can’t imagine how Kumar must’ve felt learning that the prodigal child her family tossed her aside for left them. I couldn’t begin to explain the kind or visceral bite that news must’ve had. She could’ve had everything with them and in a way she must’ve built up her arcanum, at least at first, so they might accept her one day. I would’ve grown to hate everything too.

My thoughts on TED (the planet) and its people (just headcanons)

I had some thoughts/headcanons about TED (the planet + its people).  (Slight spoilers for s2 of Midnight Burger?)

It’s been established that:

An algorithm rules the TEDs. They trust it, and (allegedly) have no real leaders.

They worked on this algorithm for a long time until it learned to improve itself

The education system is geared toward people’s strengths, and the algorithm and presumably authority figures steer kids in the direction of a fitting career, and that will help push the Empire forward.

There used to be rainforests like the ones on earth

THEREFORE (and this is where my headcanons come in)

I think maybe industrialization took hold. They were the Earth before Earth in that way.

The difference is that because they’re a much more advanced civilization, it looks cleaner. They clean up nice and decorate their cities with artificial (and maybe electric/mechanical) trees, plants, etc.  This helps keep the younger population's morale up, while the workforce works to find a solution for their rapidly depleting resources. The algorithm works to train the younger generation and push them toward what they do best individually in a way that helps the workforce continue.

NOW we get into the good stuff

The TEDs got desperate and started looking for....more questionable solutions. 

Eventually, someone gets an idea. It's drastic, and they do some small tests. But it works. 

They start working on a larger model immediately and announce their success to the population; a way to connect their planet to others like it. An age for diplomacy and cultural exchange. Of planets helping each other. A bridge of sorts. My guess is that they were very open about their system of scanning for life on different systems because the corruption hadn’t taken hold yet, at least not completely. Everything would be okay if they followed protocol. If they stuck to the plan. 

A team had already departed to get a head start on construction.

MY THOUGHTS ON THE TEDs AS A PEOPLE/SPECIES (based on my Ted (singular) design and my inspirations behind it)

Building and tech have always been a lot easier for TEDs. Evolutionarily speaking, they can transfer small shocks of electricity from one place to another simply through touch. They're an electric bunch, like electric eels.

My good friend @mostdeviouswizard asked if the shocks are affected by emotions, and the answer is YES! So in my Ted design, his scales/freckles light up, along with sparks from the ends of his antennae. This also applies to other strong emotions and is a defense mechanism (evolutionarily speaking, against prey and such).  

Becoming an Earth expert was a great way for the TEDs to use his expertise to help find resources. He always loved the forests of his planet (or what was left of them). When he realized humans were chopping down their forests and burning through their natural resources, he could see them going the same way they were headed--only they didn't have the advancements of the TEDs. They would doom themselves, and those beautiful resources on their planet. That would explain why he has such strong feelings about life on other planets, especially their forests & other flora. 

I was just drawing and had the cute idea of possible small electric shocks bc I made his little scales/freckles glow blue and then went "......Why do they do that tho."

So naturally, I IMMEDIATELY came up w this lore.

The scent of pine and woodsmoke hanging heavily in the morning frost and the crunch of snow under her boots felt almost meditative. Lyanna pulled her heavy fur coat tighter around herself, the chill seeping through her clothing, nipping at her skin, but she didn't mind too much.

Over the past few moons she'd grown fond of the rugged landscapes of the North. A change she welcomed with grace after the organ of unease and melancholy that her House was. Isvann seemed a polar opposite to the Marleyan metropolitan view, where her home used to sit amongst walls and turrets–even though she never thought of it this way or called it her's. Before war devastated everything, she used to feel sorry for it's walls and surfaces.

Marleyan architecture conveyed cramped asymmetry, structures slouching one on top of another. Her family's was one of the nicer ones, spaced off from the rest, a masonry that seemed to have took form seemingly overnight, two to three generations ago. A contagion, cultivated under clean lines and ornate frames, infected everything and everyone within its confines, spreading and festering under it's gabled roofs and plaster moldings, just to slowly gnaw on the bones of the House to brittleness. Lyanna did leave before she was consumed. Or thus she wanted to choose to believe. Then the war came and everything was extinguished and now she carries it around, a burden with mutable form. A House that eats and pleads and kills.

The northern drawl of a familiar accent cut through her thoughts, bringing her back to her feet. Vito. The warm smile across her face pushed aside her reverie as she approached the tall burly man.

"Up and about early I see, can't let your sisters think you're slacking off?"

I guess I have a writing/update schedule for @sparrow-flight now! New stories every Saturday/Sunday I guess? We'll see if it'll last over 2 weeks?

In other words, the next story is ready! :) it just needs its last round of editing in the morning. It's the story that's been through the most change and has had the most work put into it, since I submitted it for my short story class. It's one big character sketch of the dysfunctional family that the Vorobyevs are as they are try their best to not be dysfunctional in their own ways. I think there are some fun dynamics in there, espscially with Hrodwyn being the eldest child? I can't wait to put it up tomorrow :D
