Maybe it's the way it so naturally rolls off his tongue, maybe it's because the nickname is paired with his pretty golden, lovesick eyes looking at you like you've hung the stars or perhaps it's the way that nickname is always paired with physical touch. Hands gently wrapping around your waist or his thumb smoothing over your cheek. But you melt at the way he calls you doll and sweetheart. At this point, he probably uses it more than your name and just thinking about the first time he chose the nicknames over your actual name never fails to make you flustered.

It wasn't even said in a flustering setting but oh did it make your breath hitch and your heart beat a little faster.

It took place on an early morning, after your first night at his place. Your body was still warm from sleep, not fully awake when Shuji walked in, sat down beside you, softly stroked his thumb over your cheek, and pressed a sweet kiss to your forehead to wake you gently. That's the worst (or best) thing, he knows exactly what he's doing and at times like these when you're swatting his hands off of you and opt to hide your face from him, A little chuckle cannot help but escape his lips.. He's a menace<3 it's what he does best. If you really want him to stop, he would, but seeing as you haven't outright told him to, and you keep giving him these adorable reactions every time, he's not stopping anytime soon. You're his sweetheart, his pretty doll and you will be until you decide not to be anymore.
