i swear we've only ever seen Ray be HAPPY around Sand. Like (when they're not making each other sad pff) they actually have FUN together and play around. Literally they click more than any other couple on this show. True, Ray is also kinda addicted to Sand (Sand called this correctly in the bath scene lol) but likely because Sand is such a true escape. Unlike anyone else Ray knows (even Mew) SAND GIVES HIM ACTUAL JOY. And Sand finds happiness in Ray as well. Darn if Ray could just stop dragging Sand around they could actually be so content together.
