I can't handle Seregil having a soft spot for Ilar. I also wish there had been more between Alec about the almost kiss he caught between Ilar and Seregil. They didn't actually get to talk about it, it about Seregil's feelings regarding Ilar, before everything was...I don't want to say hand waved away because Alec letting it go and forgiving Seregil when he did made absolute sense because he thought they were going to die and he didn't want to die angry at Seregil and with a wedge between them. But, afterward I think they should have had a real discussion at some point. Alec only brought it up one other time and that was to Seregil's sister and not Seregil himself. And I didn't love the answer she gave, mostly because leaving it at just that sounds like an excuse for Seregil and a dismissal of Alec's feelings.

And I'm not even saying she was wrong. And in all fairness Seregil wasn't about to kiss Ilar, Ilar was about to kiss him and he froze. Given their past, that makes sense. And his internal thoughts about it made it clear he was pretty not okay with it. But he and Seregil didn't have a chance to talk about it. And they haven't talked about it since. I just would like it if they did, that's all. Barring that it would be nice if someone who was actually good at writing would write a fic where they finally have this long overdue discussion.

In other news, I wish Seregil had let Alec drown Ilar. ✌️
