SURPRISE!! "shuu" looks completely different!! and let me explain why. "shuu" is supposed to be a normal girl in this au and doesn't have to "be" a boy. so she looks different and looks like what she does back home.

"shuu" is very curious and afraid of quartz. when quartz tries to act normal it just comes off as fake and suspicious to "shuu". so she stays far away but will start to keep her eye on quartz. stopping her when she could kill Azul or someone else. if quartz tries to hurt shuu at all she would just block it or avoid it. then get quartz in trouble.

if "shuu" can find a ton of evidence against quartz she will use it. so best bet get her distracted then do whatever.

also if ur wondering why shuu is in quotes its bc no one knows her actual name just the nick name.

so now me!! so the reason that silly would even get involved with this is that she wants to learn more about quartz because she finds her a little weird and suspicious. the best way to find info about some one is becoming friends with them right? so that's what she does or tries to do. she will be around quartz a lot. bothering her to get new info. if silly becomes too annoying you could kill her. but then people would get worried wouldn't they?

"oh what happened to silly?" "where are they?" and since quartz was the person they were around the most.. people would get suspicious of quartz. I mean if you got close enough you could use her to get you an alibi if you needed it. maybe even help with murders.. but that's if you become friends.

Many hours must have passed since I started reading the documents–large piles of papers containing difficult strings of characters.

The nights were particularly long in the Demon World, and it wasn’t uncommon to waste an entire human day if you didn’t consciously check your watch every once in a while. When I noticed that my vision was starting to become blurry, I finally decided to lay down on the sofa.

“Ah… I’m no good at this after all.”

I sighed heavily. The strength drained from my arms as I did, sending the papers scattering to the floor.

I had wanted to take a look at the papers Karl Heinz had bequeathed to Eden’s medical school. My hopes were high when I started, but I hadn’t been prepared for such a large volume of papers with such complicated contents. My spirits had fallen right away.

What was Karl Heinz thinking when he ended his life? I thought I would be able to understand him better if I did some research, but…

“Ugh… I’m done. Time for a break!”

I stood up, out of my mind, and quickly headed for the door.

Come to think of it, I hadn’t seen her for a while. She had been so kind to give me space, but I wanted to see her face right away. I wanted to be spoiled by her.

My feelings came bubbling to the surface one after the other. With great force, I yanked open the door, and there was–

“...Huh? Kitten!?”

“I-I’m sorry for bothering you.”

For some reason, my lovely girlfriend was standing right there in front of the door. Was this a coincidence? No, fate? I hesitated to ask her about it since I could not quite make sense of it myself, but she beat me to it.

“Um… I thought you might need a break, so I brought you tea,” she ventured, holding a tray in her hands with a tea set on it.

“Really? Thank you! Come in, come in!” I was elated at her thoughtfulness. She had gone through all that trouble to bring me tea! I took the tray from her with one hand and motioned for her to sit with my free hand. 

I loved seeing her so flustered, face red all the way to her ears, when we sat down on the sofa together.

“Mm… It’s delicious!” I praised her while I drank all of it. The tea she prepared was the best-tasting tea in the world. 

I stared at the bottom of the empty cup for a moment, lost in thought. How had she already warmed my heart so much when I had been sighing non-stop only minutes ago? 

“Kou… are you okay?” Worried about my sudden silence, she eyed me with slightly glassy eyes. 

“Huh? I’m fine, but…”

“I’m glad. I was wondering if you weren’t pushing yourself too hard… I was worried about you.”

Oh, how she always saw through me right away. I grimaced internally, but at the same time, I was glad that she did.

She’s adorable. I like her. I love her. My heart overflowed with my feelings for her. Still, confessing all of this to her was quite embarrassing, so I beat around the bush.

“Ah, you’re right, I think I might be tired after all. So…”

Smiling mischievously, I enthusiastically lowered my head onto her soft thighs.

“Will you let me lay on your lap like this, Kitten?” I winked at her mischievously as I asked her. 

She giggled at first, but when she saw me pout, she apologised and gently stroked my hair. It felt like time stood still when her cheeks reddened. 

I was ridiculously happy, I thought, and then the two pictures on my desk caught my eye.

The first picture was of me, my brothers, and Karl Heinz. The second one depicted us four brothers and her. 

Both pictures featured us all smiling. Even if we were not connected by blood, and even if we didn’t know every little thing about one another…we lived a surprisingly mundane, happy life together. That’s all I ever wanted in a family.

When I turned to face her, I pulled her in close and kissed her on the lips.

“Hey… Let’s be together as a family forever, okay?”

I’ve spoke on this a little bit before - yesterday in my ramble about Shuu i mentioned my feelings about his character pre :re being viewed too cynically - but i sometimes think that the takes i have seen abt tg over the years feel overly pessimistic.

i think some people’s anger or discontent over tokyo ghoul’s ending comes from this kind of philia ppl have about it being solely tragedy, and not truly allowing room for an idea of hope or optimism. it feels doomeresque, i suppose. a lot of takes i have seen about the story and the ending specifically (hi tg reddit…) follow this pattern, and i think it limits one’s ability to analyse and engage with a story fully. there’s this idea that having hope or being an optimist can be a sign of stupidity, hence why so much pretentious ‘smart guy’ media is darker, and i find i have seen this in some tg analysis and conversation.

there has been the idea that the ending is bad because it ended happily. personally, i think the ending is ‘bad’ because the arcs far preceding it were rushed - despite my passioned defense of tg on here as a good story, the quality did very much suffer through much of :re - but the ending itself felt perfect for me.

it’s not like tokyo ghoul is a happy story. it’s not that i don’t not understand a pessimistic viewpoint or even dislike such an understanding of the story and characters. tg being tragic is heavily reinforced by the narrative, and it follows the story beats and flow of a tragedy - my qualm is not with this idea itself, but in how rigid i have seen some opinions be that tg could only ever end tragically, and i do wonder if that sort of thinking misses something within tg’s messaging. tokyo ghoul being viewed more nihilistically is not shocking. i think it appeals to people who have struggled with a myriad of issues that aren’t widely understood - i mean, i can and have written so much about how the story (one character particularly) has helped me feel less alone in my darkest moments. so this cynical takeaway is hardly a surprise - it’s not incorrect - but i think it is limiting.

i’ve seen it said (hi reddit x2) that tokyo ghoul’s happy ending was lazy and shallow, that Ishida’s alternative ending - killing basically every character - suited the story more and would have been better. i don’t feel like this is the case at all. i think killing all the characters would have been quite lazy, actually - i mean, how cliche - i think such an ending would have been dreadfully gauche.

it’s in this idea that intelligence = pessimism that people forget how difficult it is to be optimistic in a world that rejects you. and what is tokyo ghoul if not a story about learning to come into love and self-acceptance - of overcoming cycles of violence? if that is the case - and that is how i view it - then how could the story have ever ended horribly? like i say, dreadfully gauche.

a question i have asked myself lately - is tokyo ghoul really a tragedy, or is that just kaneki’s perception of his story? that particular train of thought is hardly new or original, but i think sometimes we ought to question ourselves with it. sometimes i think this story is taken at face value, despite how praised it is for possessing so much depth.

Waiting for Christmas

Chiyo sighed as she thrummed her fingers on the smooth surface of the counter. The clerk had left some time ago and told her to wait as he brought out the product that she had ordered. She was getting a little bit restless with how long it was taking — she was out on a secret mission after all.

Christmas was approaching and she wanted to gift Shuu something special. Before, they didn’t really pay attention to holidays like that, but even in Makai the human traditions were starting to become more and more popular.

She blushed when she remembered last year’s Christmas, when she didn’t bother with a gift and—

She shook her head to get rid of the embarrassing memory. This mistake was not something she was going to repeat, so for this year she came prepared. Admittedly, it had been hard to coordinate all of this so Shuu wouldn’t grow suspicious of her. It was weird enough for her to go out to the mall by herself as it was.

A while ago Chiyo had seen him on his phone, browsing deluxe boxes of a composer he was interested in lately; persuading him to wait with the purchase had been a challenge. Again, she hoped he didn’t become aware of her plans.

Since she had no idea how preordering things with a phone worked, she had to do it at the store itself. Now she was here to pick it up; her closet should work as a good hiding spot; Shuu would never bother to look inside.

Finally, after what felt like ages, the clerk came back with a box. It was thin but of slightly bigger size; the product was advertised to include an LP and a CD among other things, featuring unreleased tracks.

“Would you like for us to wrap this as a gift, Miss?” the clerk asked. Smart. Chiyo wondered whether this was an all-year-round kind of service or if it was special for the holiday season.

She nodded. This would save her the trouble of doing it herself; she was putting little faith into her skills in that department.

The wrapping paper was really pretty; she chose a yellow bow to go with the teal paper. Luckily, the bag her gift was put in was unassuming enough to not draw any attention to itself, so she wouldn’t have to worry about anybody asking her why she owned a bag from the music shop. After all, it’s been ages since she had been interested in her piano.

With light steps she made her way out of the store, maybe she should treat herself to a seasonal drink? As she was rounding the corner she almost bumped into someone.

“Ah—”

“Oh…”

Her eyes traveled from the ground, taking in the man that stood before her. Brown shoes, a dark beige coat and a very familiar warm yellow scarf in stark contrast to the piercing blue eyes that looked down on her.

“Shuu…”

Great, of course she would bump into the person that she tried to keep this a secret from! Shuu furrowed his brows.

“What are you doing here? Weren’t you going to meet that friend of yours to ramble about books or something?” he asked.

“N…nothing,” she stammered and quickly hid the white paper bag behind her back. “Something came up, so I decided to kill some time here.”

She said she wasn’t going to lie to Shuu anymore, but this should be fine, right? It wasn’t really a lie.

“What are you doing here?” she countered and saw Shuu hide something from her vision as well. If they both had secrets to keep, maybe he would let it go.

A slight smirk appeared on Shuu’s lips. “Nothing, as well…”

They stared at each other for a while before he spoke up again.

“Should we kill some time together?” He held out his hand toward her and she slowly nodded, taking it into hers.

As they strolled aimlessly around the mall, Chiyo couldn’t help but smile and lean into him a little. It wasn’t often that they went out together, so this already felt really romantic. Almost as if they were actual teenagers, enjoying Christmas break. Not that she knew much about romance, their relationship didn’t match those in the books with pastel pink covers. She liked Shuu, romantic gestures or not, but sometimes she couldn’t help but wonder whether these books actually were realistic. No matter how much she tried, she just couldn’t picture Shuu as a doting boyfriend that wore matching pajamas with her, not saying she really wanted that, it sounded like an awkward thing to do. Walking hand in hand was something she was content with.

There was a big display in the middle of the mall, with a gigantic Christmas tree, huge plastic presents and a photobooth. When they passed it, a couple was currently taking their photos. Curiously, she eyed the two people who were posing underneath a mistletoe, kissing for the camera. The green plant dangled above that couple as they did various cute kissing poses.

Not noticing how her step slowed gradually to keep looking at the two, she eventually came to a halt, forcing Shuu to do so as well. The teasing words she heard next shook her from her trance.

“Pervert…” Shuu mused, and she spun her head around towards him.

“Huh??”

His eyebrows were raised in amusement and his lips quirked upwards. “Do you get off on watching others kiss? Or do you want to do it too?”

She felt her face grow hot; her cheeks were probably flushed and tinted pink. Giving the photobooth a last wishful look, she turned back to him and shook her head.

“No, I don’t…”

Shuu probably wasn’t into silly things like that.

Amused, he wrapped an arm around her waist and pulled her closer. Chiyo’s eyes widened in surprise as she was pulled so close she had to grab his coat for balance. Face flushing, she jerked her head back. What was he doing, such a public place no less!

“Then... what do you want to do?” he asked, his blue ocean eyes flickering with mirth.

Chiyo could practically feel the stares of hundreds of strangers on her. Quick, she had to do something about it!

“Actually, I thought about going to a café…” she said quietly, and Shuu frowned, the amusement gone from his eyes as quickly as it appeared there. He probably thought it was stupid; why waste your time sipping coffee or tea in a crowded place when you can do the same thing at home?

Slowly, he let go of her again, letting her stand on her feet again. She frowned and tried to discern the look on his face, but she just couldn’t really place it. Did he dislike her idea?

“Let’s go then,” he said.

Chiyo blinked in confusion. “Huh…?”

He looked at her with a raised eyebrow. “Didn’t you just say you wanted to go?”

“Yeah, but...”

“Then let’s go…” He tugged on her hand that was still loosely hanging in his. God, why did that make her feel so embarrassed? She could feel him finding it weird how she acted too.

Get a grip, she thought.

The café was on the third floor of the shopping mall, several automated screens standing at the entrance, ready to take their order. Chiyo navigated through the menus rather clumsily; technology had never been her strong suit, but she did have to admit that it saved them the trouble to interact with the baristas.

Shuu’s hand closed over hers as he dragged it towards one of the winter edition drinks. White Hazelnut Latte.

“Take this one, it has no caffeine and it’s seasonal,” he said.

She looked at him and felt her cheeks flush again, did he figure out she wanted to come here because of the special winter edition drinks? The way he was being considerate for her made her heart race. Quickly she turned her head away from him and tapped on the screen to add it to the order.

Moments later she found herself sitting in the back of the café, leaning back into a leather seat, Shuu across from her, his elbows resting on the table as they waited for their order. Looking down she fidgeted with her fingers on her lap, toying with the hem of her skirt.

“You’re being weird…” Shuu said.

“This situation is weird.”

He raised his eyebrows for a second time today and was about to answer something when they were interrupted by the waitress bringing out their food and drinks. The young woman placed the coffee with whipped cream in front of Chiyo and the warm Yuzu tea in front of Shuu.

“We currently have a promotion going on. Couples get a matching set of keychains with our mascot~”

Chiyo blushed and wanted to protest but the waitress simply placed the keychains in their hands and took off afterwards. She looked down into the palm of her hand: it was a Christmas edition of the penguin mascot of the franchise, wearing a red hat and coat.

“Your face is as red as the outfit this penguin is wearing…” Shuu teased.

She grumbled. “What should I do with this anyway?” They didn’t exactly use house keys for the mansion.

“You put them on your phone,” Shuu said with a shrug.

“You know I don’t use my phone…”

Shuu sighed as he looked at his part of the accessory. It was a slightly different version of the penguin Chiyo got, with a green hat and coat. A tiny magnet was placed in the penguin’s beak, if you put them together, they would kiss.

“If you don’t like it, do what you want with it...”

The girl flinched; his voice sounded colder now. Did she mess this up?

“It’s not that I don’t want it...” she sighed and sipped on her coffee. The blue eyes were trained on her and didn’t let her out of their sight. After a while of silence, she rummaged through her bag and fished out the phone she almost never used. An embarrassed flush bloomed on her face as she handed him the device.

“Can you...?”

Shuu let out a single breathy laugh and patted the empty seat next to him. When she sat down next to him on the loveseat, he took the charm and secured it on her phone, as well as doing the same thing with his, then he moved his phone so the beak of his penguin would bump into hers. A quiet gasp escaped her when the charms connected, and she giggled softly. Shuu’s arm snaked around her shoulder and pulled her close.

The sky was grey with clouds as they walked home hand in hand. All in all, it had been a successful day. Chiyo got to buy a Christmas present, drink some seasonal drinks and now she was walking home with the one she loved. He was smiling at her in amusement when she told him about the latest book the book club had been discussing lately. Well, book club... they really only were two people.

“And then he grabs her by the wrist, spinning her around and pressing her against a wall before kissing her,” she said, retelling a scene she read last. Shuu hummed, raising his eyebrows. “Sorry.” She cleared her throat and looked away shyly. “I got carried away...”

They were nearing the main entrance of the mansion now, as they walked up the snow-covered stairs, their boots making a crunching sound underneath their feet. It was crazy how the world became a paradise in white in just a few days since the temperature dropped. The red roses that lined the way to the entrance looked especially striking, half frozen, with the white covering the red. The world seemed so quiet too.

Shuu let out a soft sound in disagreement. “I don’t mind listening to you.” She gave him a small, grateful smile in return, her cheeks were already rosy from the cold, but she was positive they tinted a deeper shade of pink with how warm she felt suddenly.

“Besides...” he said, and she stopped halfway through the door, turning back to him. He reached out and tugged her wrist. Her body was pulled towards him, before she felt the hard surface of the doorframe against her back. Shuu’s breath fanned over her face in white, warm puffs as he dipped his head lower and lower until his lips almost touched hers.

“It’s good to know about it, so I can prevent those men from your books stealing you from me.”

As she gasped, his lips found hers in a sweet kiss. From the corners of her eyes, she could make out the soothing green of mistletoe leaves, before her eyes fluttered shut and she kissed him back.

Just like real teenagers.

This was originally supposed to be my main Christmas fanfic for 2024, which is why it's longer than the rest. But then I got the idea for the multiple parts story and decided to incorporate it. Thinking about presents that Shuu and Chiyo would give to each other I got inspired and actually bought for myself the thing that Shuu buys for her. Heheheh. You will find out in the last part~

Hii, I know I've asked this before but really consider an actor au for Raimon, be it accidental reverse or the original series. Because like imagine the shock of the others when one of them takes off their brightly colored wig and suddenly they look like an entirely different person and the others are just like- wtfwtf who are you, why the hell do you look like that?? But another thing to consider: the relationships. Which siblings would be real off set too and what friendships and duos/trios would still be real outside of filming.

Okay so I’ll be honest, I saw your ask before but I had a really hard time answering because I don’t really know anything about actor AUs. But I gave it my best shot, so I hope this is sort of what you had in mind? I kept it mostly to the main GO cast.

As for appearances, here's a few I could see happening:

Kirino wears hair extensions. His hair color is already pretty extreme, so I think he’d keep it shorter in reality, and the pigtails are just part of his outfit.

Hamano normally has his hair combed down around his face instead of standing up, and in exchange for his goggles he’s got a red and white bandana.

Shinsuke doesn’t wear his headband outside of filming. It’s part of his outfit because of his supposed resemblance to Endou’s character.

Shindou actually has glasses, although he also wears lenses. Kind of depends on his mood. I think it suits him!

Saru is just Tenma in a wig

As for relationships, whoa this is gonna be a wild ride. I had fun with it. So, brace yourselves!

The easiest: Haruna and Kidou aren’t siblings. They don't really look alike. Gouenji and Yuuka probably are siblings though, their eyes are quite similar.

Not so bad, hm? Well, here's where it gets weird.

One thing that comes to mind is, before I watched GO, I saw some clips on YouTube, and there was the moment where Tenma miximaxed with Shuu. Afterwards, Shuu’s kneeling on the ground and Aoi helps him up:

I remember thinking Aoi and Shuu look a little bit similar? That interaction made me wonder for a second if they were siblings (sue me, I didn't know anything about IEGO at the time). They look just similar enough that it works, same eye shape, blueish hair… it’s a bit far-fetched, but I think it’s funny. So, they’d be siblings!

Tachimukai and Kinako would be related - they’ve got similar bangs! Similar hair! Similar eyes! Obviously Tachimukai in GO would be ten years older, so maybe Kinako’s his niece or something.

I mean, it works.

Okay, and now my personal favorite. Taiyou wears a wig and is related to the Tsurugi brothers.

…yeah it sounds weird I know, BUT! He’s got literally the same eyes as Yuuichi, just a different color, and he’s super pale too, just like Yuuichi and Kyousuke.

I mean, c’mon. Tell me you don’t see it, I dare you. Give Taiyou spiky navy hair, and they’d totally be related.

Not convinced?

I mean, come on. I’d even say that in facial features, Taiyou looks more like Yuuichi than Kyousuke does.

I’m crazy uwahn asylum!!! I don’t need to talk about the “Reasoning” side, as I already have. Only now, an hour after, is the cards of the solving scout truly hitting, though I had already been late to the drop of the cards themselves since I surprisingly forgot it was the day. The concept of cross theme scouts is so fun so far for the very first one (frankly, I’m happy feature scouts have been put to rest as a concept for now! It would be nice if they returned someday, the dedicated outfits that are special and just for one character are a fun concept, but I hope it won’t be soon. Clearly the designs themselves were a product of how tired it had become, although a lot of the FS2s were a hit in my book, to be quite honest.) & I was so excited to get to see Yuzuru in full!!!! I didn’t expect ITSUKI SHUU & SECCHAN TO BE THERE.

Oouh, ouuuh. Just like the other side I really like this side, too. Does the bottom of Sena’s hair look far darker than usual or am I crazy? Somehow I notice the shading far more than in the past, and with the theme and the outfit it looks good, and the pipe… Sena smoking… Okay. Mutual made a tweet about it and I had noticed too and it made me a little crazy. I really like this Shuu, too… the thinkeerrr. I don’t know he looks good. I wish he looked more frustrated, somehow. I know he probably got I don’t know botox or something or simply became conscious of his wrinkles (my twisted mind) and that’s why he isn’t as expressive as he used to be but I miss it nonetheless.

Yuzuru… the star of the show. I looove love love his expression. The choker looks good on all of them but on him it’s like Hahaha Hahaha… wow. My chest feels a little light. Is it just me? Um, cough. I now notice it borderline seems like a leash, akin to the ones the majestic magic outfits had, but he is so unhinged looking & clearly not being held back by anyone which is fucking awesome. I like it a lot. It has been compared to Noble Game in nature, and, yeah. Not to mention, the cards simply look good together, as much as they are serving in a different light regarding the style of their outfits, clearly they are displaying similar sides of him.

They have been reborn. Actually, I wonder if the scout story (stories?) will make a reference to the tour they shared as 4☆? … Either way, I love when Yuzuru is armed. While Kaoru looks playful in his card, taunting, Yuzuru almost appears as though he’s hunting you down, though his grip on that cane seems ever graceful. Yuzuru is also far more, [swallows], Exposed. To say the least. Just as in the past! The mirroring certainly feels intentional, but I’m unaware on if it’s actually true or mere coincidence?

Gosh, I hate these theme scouts for kind of making me want to pull for Both. That’s their tactic, isn’t it?! Well. I won’t give in. I’m stingy. But I’ll be thinking about it. Someone had made a tweet joking about the birds looking like/being Shuu & Mika and it means nothing, he’s not here, it’s stupid to even say that & Mean it. But it’s funny that Shuu appeared 😭 and on the Mika bird side, too… cute. Which is also the side that has their breasts out, scandalous in my opinion. But judging by the scout he was in with Sena in the past, I wonder if he has any standards at all. No, I shan’t shame him. Kaoru & Yuzuru are an interesting combo. It’s not like it’s the first time they’ve been together. They’re both stunning cards for all they’re worth.

Laito: ...So, if he’s working together with the Church, does that mean that this Kino we’ve heard so much about also participated in these activities...?

Shuu: Yeah. Probably...

Reiji: I can only assume that he won over the Church by flaunting his identity as Father’s son. 

Kou: But why would he do that...? I mean, he’s a Vampire himself, isn’t he? 

And why did the Church start hunting Demons at this point anyway?

Ruki: ...They might be taking advantage of the unstable situation in the Demon World. 

I believe that they came to the conclusion that now that Karlheinz-sama has passed away, it is as good of an opportunity as ever to permanently get rid of all Demons in the human world. 

Shuu: ...That might not be the only reason.

Subaru: ...What do you mean?

Shuu: Perhaps the Church doesn’t simply want to get rid of all Demons in the human world...But they’re actually hoping to conquer the Demon World as a whole.

Reiji: ...Ridiculous. So you want to claim that one day us Demons will have to surrender to mere humans?

Kou: There’s just...no way, right? They don’t stand a chance against us without any magic...

Ruki: Not under normal circumstances. However, right now, they have a powerful magic user on their side.

That’s why they rarely ever leave Rotigenberg.

Hello! Am sending a questions about your Ascendence of a Bookworm x Resturant to Another World AU.

Which was you favorite part to write so far?

Has anyone traded goods such as plants or meats from Yurgenschmidt (hope I remember how to spell that) to Nekoya yet?

How well known is the restaurant among the merchants and commoners of Yurgen?

I find it fascinating to think of what the restaurant can make with the plants and meats found in each duchy that cannot be found on Earth.

I like how you managed to show the differences of culture, what the nobles expect to experience vs their real customer service experience, and the way the people who become regulars adapt to it in their own way.

I especially like how you’ve incorporated the regular order nicknames to each person. Once I remember who is who, it’s interesting to think of how the scenarios will play out with those present.

How did you come up for the favorite meals of other characters and do you have a list of them?

Ok so from top to bottom:

My favourite part has to be writing about the Nobles meeting Mestionora, there just this delicious sort of (idk what to call it, karma maybe?) Thing in the air where Nobles are getting treated the same way most of them would treat the commoners you know what I mean, if face of a metaphysical cosmic entity they are *nothing* and the realization of that feels like such a juicy thing to write.

Yes, Mako and his fellow chef Leo are always trying to find ways to incorporate local food from Yurgenschmidt and the other world into their resrurant menu, Rozemyne traded a few fruits and veggies for cacao and coffee beans in the beginning when Alexandria's country gate wasnt connected to the land of sand. Now Rozemyne only imports cacao and about a kilogram or natto every week.

It's a bit of an Urban legend amongst merchants, especially travelling merchants, some don't belive it, others swear they saw it, benno makes a lot of money from all the new exotic foods Rozemyne brings with her to Alexandria and traveling merchants (atleast, the ones who found it) make it a point to find and label all (or as many) Nekoya doors they can find on their way (because food is essential to traveling merchants and their families) tho it's mostly not mentioned in the story itself cuz its a bit irrelevant to the plot (aka: I can't figure out a way to incorporate it without sounding forced it)

I haven't made a list of them. Also I put a bit of thought into the names because that's the least amount of effort I could atleast put into the characters, example:-

Shuu - he's a Vtuber, meaning many sleepless nights, meaning he needs a lot of energy boosts to go about his day such as caffeine, so I chose melon soda because melon soda seems to be pretty popular in Japan.

Dojima is genuinely making progress. He's mature enough to see his own stagnation and that if he lets it happen, Nanako will grow up without him. And at that point, I don't know if the chasm between them can be bridged.

There is another SLink event around now as well, where Nanako needs to get her dad to attend Parent-Teacher night and she automatically assumes he won't come, and Reverie promises to help her ask him. LIKE!!!!! This is such basic shit, and it's like pushing a boulder uphill. I'm hoping, like with a boulder uphill, once we reach the peak, the whole thing will roll on at speed.
