Dick Gumshoe completely, utterly, desperately oblivious to Phoenix and Edgeworth's relationship, missing every single clue that his boss is very much fucking the defense in more ways than one, happily walking on Edgeworth and Phoenix disheveled and flushed and looking sad "aww, were you fighting again? Come on, pal, you won the trial, you don't have to rub it in Mr Edgeworth's face ☹", completely zoning out everytime Phoenix and Edgeworth cross a new milestone in their relationship (very loudly, very publicly, the Judge still cries when he thinks about the wedding proposal), to the point it takes several minutes of confused misunderstandings and half of the police department for him to finally get what's going on when Mr Edgeworth is asking him to be his best man at the wedding.
VS
Dick Gumshoe somehow the only man in Japanifornia who knows Phoenix and Edgeworth are an item. From the first moment he saw them interacting he thought "dang, Wright got the best tastes in men, too bad I can't say the same about Mr Edgeworth". He didn't say anything because come on, that's not his business! Except he's the only one who thinks there's any business, everyone else is convinced Edgeworth and Phoenix hate each other's guts (including the main concerned for a while) or at best tolerate each other. Meanwhile Gumshoe regularly witnesses Edgeworth melting down whenever Wright is concerned, Phoenix going through hell to save Edgeworth, both of them working together like they're two halves of the same coin. "I hope someday there's someone who loves me like Mr Edgeworth loves Wright," he thinks fondly as the tribunal worries one of them is going to throttle the other. "Saw this and thought of you!" He jokes while giving a blue and red Valentine themed thingie to Phoenix, who's utterly confused. He bought them condoms once, and Edgeworth wrecked his brains for days trying to figure out how he could be so obvious, when actually Gumshoe didn't even think, his boss just seemed tense that day so he wanted to help. They're just that obvious, y'know?

Olive Green Couch | Spencer Reid
description: when your best friend drags you to a party to meet a boy she's been fawning over, you find yourself completely bored and unimpressed- good thing you've stumbled upon a strikingly handsome (yet awkward) young graduate student named Spencer who seems equally as unhappy to be there to share your misery with.
pairing: grad school! spencer reid x f! reader
content: uhh mostly fluff, drinking, reader is described as wearing a mini skirt and wearing high heels.
word count: 4,242
If I have to hear one more Weezer song I'm going to be sick. You think as the slow drums of Undone pour out over an all too expensive speaker system for a frat house.
The MIT frats were nothing like you experienced before, they were- for lack of a better term- a complete and utter sausage party. You can't remember the last time you'd seen this many men in a single room. If you weren't so bored maybe you would appreciate this as a reprieve from the usual maintaining "ratio" of the state school frat parties you'd been to. But even now you'd prefer that if it meant you wouldn't have to deal with another sloppily drunk man explaining the plot of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy to you. Rich, pretentious, too smart for his own good MIT frat guy or dude-bro, alpha male, business major state school frat guy- it didn't matter; they were the same side of the same misogynistic coin.
You look down at the shot-glass sized solo cup in your hand, staring at the clear liquid inside. Maybe just one more shot and you'd finally start to enjoy the state you were in. You hoped maybe six shots would be the perfect number of drunk to enjoy yourself. You screw your eyes shut and throw back your head as you lift the cup to your mouth. The cheap vodka burns the second it touches your tongue, and you wince as you feel it travel down your throat and to your stomach. Your body shivers involuntarily as the warmth in your belly grows.
You face forward again, looking across the living room for your best friend- the one who dragged you here in the first place. You had suggested bar hopping or trying to get into a club, you didn't buy her a fake ID for no reason. But she insisted on coming here instead. Here- to this sweaty house filled with... well... dorks. She came here looking for some guy- Michael... Matthew... Miles.... shit, you couldn't remember. It didn't matter, you were here now, and she had ditched you to fend for yourself.
You take a step forward and all the alcohol you had drank prior seems to hit you a once, "Woah" You can't help but say out-loud as you catch your balance and wait for the room to stop spinning.
You take a few more wobbly steps forward before acclimating to your new, tipsy state. You make your way through the dimly lit house, trying to find your friend amongst the crowd and rowdy conversations. Observing the bodies that populated the house you suddenly felt insecure, and insanely overdressed- why was everyone wearing jeans and a t-shirt? Maybe a mini skirt was the wrong choice for tonight.
You make your way to a back room of the house, occupied by maybe only 10 people by your inebriated brain's estimate. There's an ugly looking olive green couch in the middle of the room- it' had obviously been through a lot but and you hated to imagine what had happened on that couch over the years, but right now it looked like the most comfortable thing in the world. You walk over and plop yourself over onto the couch, the cushions having a lot less give than you expected.
The beginning riff of Someday by The Strokes plays just outside of the room, and you groan- turning to the guy who you had just realized was sitting next to you.
"Do you know who's Dj-ing this fucking thing- can you tell them to play some Britney or something?" The words fall off your tongue, sloppily.
The boy sitting next to you turns to look at you, a confused look drawn upon his face, "Huh- me?"
Shit. He's kind of cute- In a dorky sort of way. His brown hair is perfectly unkempt, and small curls form at the back of his neck. His jawline is sharp, and his hollow cheeks accentuate his prominent cheek bones. His eyes are dark, and he looks a like he hasn't slept in years- you figured with the workload MIT students probably have- it would make sense if he actually hadn't slept since getting there. Truth be told, all things combined he looked a little sickly- he was obviously lanky maybe scrawny was a better word- his button up shirt seemed a little ill-fitted for his body, and his tie poorly tied. Still- you couldn't help but notice he was hot. The first hot guy you'd seen all night.
"Yes, you, pretty boy." You smirk.
His face reads as even more confused upon your clarification.
"Oh um," He looks down at the half-drunken beer that sits between his legs, shakes his head before looking back up at you, "I-uh I don't know the DJ, and I- um, also don't know who Britney is." He responds, a small nervous tremble in his voice.
"Spears?" You let out a small laugh, "You know like- Hit Me Baby One More Time." You half sing.
"Oh-" He looks off to the side, "No" he faces you again.
"Go figure," You scoff, still, keeping a smile on your face. "Say- are you in this frat?"
He shakes his head, "Oh- no, I'm a grad student."
"A grad student?" You respond, your eyes widen in shock no shot the man you were looking at right now was any older than you. "How old are you?"
"21" He responds, almost nonchalantly- like it wasn't some insane feat. "Well," He clarifies, "I'm actually in my third graduate program, I already have a PhD in mathematics and chemistry, from Cal Tech. I'm working on my engineering one now."
"Jesus," You smile, "So what, you're like some sort of genius, huh?"
"Well, I don't believe that intelligence can be accurately quantified- but I do have an IQ of 187, and an eidetic memory, and can read twenty thousand words per-minute."
You stare at him in awe for a moment, "So, a you are a genius?"
He gives you a small smile in response, "Yeah- I guess." He nods.
You're suddenly intrigued, only twenty-one years old and already a doctor twice over.
"So what brings you here Doctor...uh..."
"Reid," He nods and presses his lips into a line. "Oh! But, don't call me doctor you can call me Spencer."
"Well then, what brings you here, Spencer?" You correct yourself with a smile.
"My friend- uh he wanted me to come with him, he's meeting some girl here and he didn't want to go alone. I kind of got dragged along."
"Well," You grin, "It must be fate that we're here together on this ugly green couch, because if you could believe it- I'm here for the exact same reason except my friend- she's uh, meeting a guy here."
Spencer takes a small sip of the beer he had been holding, wincing as the liquid touched his lips. You figured he probably wasn't much of a drinker, he probably had things much more important on his plate than getting drunk and partying.
"Not much of a partier?" You ask to confirm your suspicions.
"Mhh," Spencer hums, mouth still full of beer, he shuts his eyes tight as he swallows thickly. "No." He shakes his head violently. "What gave it away?"
"Oh!" You bite your lip... "Nothing!" You say, innocently, voice steeped in sarcasm.
"It's okay," He laughs, "I know I look like a dork."
His laugh is infectious, and you can't help but smile in response. And Damn- he's really cute.
"Oh! Don't say that," You swat your hand at him, "I'm sure you get tons of ladies."
Spencer tilts his head to one side, in obvious disbelief of what you just said,
"I don't really appreciate the sarcasm," He says, his eyes narrowing at you.
"Sarcasm?" You pout, "No- I mean it Spencer, what you're like a genius. And I mean- you're not bad to look at," You bite your lip, "Not at all."
Spencer shook his head, "I was a child prodigy in a Las Vegas public school, and until now, I've always been way younger than everyone in college- my experience with girls is practically in the negatives."
"Oooh!" You smirk, "Vegas," You raise an eyebrow.
"Mhm," He takes another sip of his beer, his face more relaxed this time.
"You think I'd make a good showgirl?" You wink
"Oh- um," Spencer is suddenly blinking rapidly as his head scans you up and down. You can't help but feel a little bad at the way you have him flustered,
"I'm kidding! You don't have to answer that." You reassure. "Negative experience with girls, hm?"
"Yeah- I-uh, I haven't even had my first kiss yet." He says, looking down at his lap, refusing to make eye contact with you.
"No?" You say, still shocked, even given his prior explanations of his experiences with women, "Well..." You start, pausing for a moment, "If you ever want that to change let me know." Maybe that last part was meant to be a joke, but truth is you kind of really hoped he said yes, right there, right now.
"What?" He looks back up at you, eyebrows furrowed, "No- I don't need a pity kiss. I don't even know who you are."
"It is not a pity kiss, and I'm y/n, I go to UMASS, the Boston campus- like 15 minutes away. I'm 20, and uhhh... Well, the rest you can find out later." You wink, "Now you know me!" You smile, perking up from your spot on the couch.
"Well- uh. Nice to meet you y/n" He gives you an awkward tight lipped smile. "Are you- um- enjoying your night."
"God no," You scoff. "Does that make two of us?"
Spencer nods, side moving his eyes to look around the room. It had gotten significantly more crowded since you'd came in here, you hadn't noticed, you'd been too focused on getting to know Spencer that you kind of forgot you were at a party to begin with. It didn't seem to matter now anyway, you were intrigued beyond belief and wanted to know more about Dr. Reid.
"So, why'd you leave Caltech? The weather is certainly a lot nicer than it is here," Your body physically recoils at the thought of having to go back outside to the brisk New England fall after the party was over.
Spencer shrugged, "You can only get so many degrees at one place before you need a change of scenery. I've been at CalTech since I was like- fourteen."
"Fourteen?" Your eyes widen, thinking about what you were like at fourteen. You certainly weren't CalTech material, that's for sure. "When did you graduate high school?"
"1993," He smiles and nods, "Twelve years old"
Spencer had a charming humility about him, he was the smartest person you'd ever met but he spoke in a way that made it feel like it was every day that someone could graduate high school at 12 and have two PhDs by 21.
"What do you plan on doing after college with that pretty head of yours?" You ask, your slightly intoxicated brain unable to stop you from instinctively reaching out and fluffing his hair. Spencer's eyes flick up towards your hand and he gives you an awkward smile paired with a small laugh.
"Well- I uhh... I've been in contact with this guy- well from the FBI, the BAU... Behavioral Analysis Unit. We came into contact after my second dissertation, he was shocked at how young I was, having done so much- he suggested I come to the academy when I was done with this one." Spencer explained, he talked in a way that made him seem unsure of himself, like he, himself didn't fully understand how it happened.
"God," You muse, "The fucking FBI? Could you get any cooler?"
"You know," Spencer remarks, "I think that's the first time anyone has ever used to word "cool" to describe me." The tone in his voice is light, it's clear he's happy about that fact, but you can't help but feel your heart break at the statement.
"Cool even sounds like a little bit of an understatement to me. But you know... I think I'm a little too intoxicated right now to think of a synonym, so cool it is!"
"Do you have any plans for after college?" Spencer asks, nervously running a finger around the rim of the glass in his lap.
"Nothing as cool as the FBI," You shrug, "Actually, nothing concrete, really. Has me feeling a little inadequate in a room full of geniuses."
"Oh trust me," Spencer scans his head around the room, "Not all of these guys are geniuses."
"Well- they're complete nerds at the very least." You giggle.
"I think I qualify as a nerd too." Spencer smiles back.
"Oh you definitely do," You say, scooting closer to him, taking the beer glass out of his hand, "But you haven't tried to talk down to me about some movie everyone's seen, or some album everyone's heard like I'm some dumb idiot bimbo yet." You huff, finishing what was left of the liquid in the glass with a single gulp. You slam the cup down on the coffee table in front of you, "And even if I was a dumb idiot bimbo- what makes them think I'd care about whatever they'd have to say about OK Computer. We've all listened to Karma Police, big deal!" You realize you're getting a little heated over this and cut yourself off, "Anyways," You smile, "What I mean is you don't seem like some self important loser."
"Oh," Spencer furrows his eyebrows, "Thank...you?"
"Do you want to get out of here?"
"Y-Yeah, Yeah we can go." Spencer nods.
You stand up from the couch, wobbling a little bit as your legs lift you up. The room, is blurry, for a moment all you can see are vague blobs of color instead of people. You shut your eyes tight, blinking them open to fix your blurry vision. You glance over toward Spencer, who's grabbing a tan suit jacket that had been draped over the back of the couch. He slinks the jacket on over his thin frame.
"You alright?" He asks, concern in his eyes. He must have been able to read the drunk all over your face.
"Y-Yeah I'm fine, lets go," You nod, reassuringly. You could handle your liquor, besides you hadn't drank that much tonight.
The two of you head for the door, wherever it is. Spencer was leading the way, and you hoped he had a better sense of direction than you did. The music is suddenly a lot louder as you exit the room you were in, and you suddenly feel a lot drunker. The sudden change in feeling causes you to stumble a little, bumping Spencer in the back. High heels and alcohol were never a good mix.
"Oh- hey," Spencer stops suddenly, turning around to smile at you, "Are you sure you're alright?"
You look around the room, at the hoard of people, the room thick with a combination of weed and cigarette smoke. You've never felt so lost in your life when did it get so crowded in here? The obnoxious yelling of frat guys mixed with the music turned to a volume you were sure would get the cops to show up is absolutely ear-splitting.
"Can you hold my hand?" You ask Spencer, needing his guidance more than you realized.
"Uh, yeah, yeah." He nods. You reach your hand out for Spencer to grab, and it takes him a few times to correctly slot his fingers between yours. You smile a little, watching him try to figure out the perfect hand-holding position. He couldn't be more pathetic if he tried- it was kind of adorable.
Spencer's hand is warm, a little sweaty against your palm. But his grip is tight and reassuring as the two of you walk the rest of the way out of the house.
As soon as the front door opens a brisk wind hits you, nipping at your exposed flesh. Goosebumps already dot up and down your skin, the only warmth you feel is Spencer's hand wrapped around yours, and you knew that warm sensation would end as soon as his hand got cold too.
With a little hesitance, you step outside to brave the cold. Your heels click as you carefully make your way down the concrete steps in front of the house. You stare down at your feat as you make each movement, fearing accidentally rolling your ankle or falling. You'd probably take end up Spencer down with you.
"Hmm," Spencer hums, noticing your trepidation, "Here," Spencer untwines his hand from yours and places an arm around your back, reaching to your other side, but barely touches your other arm, just holds firm enough for you not to fall.
You reach the bottom of the stairs, thankful for Spencer's help,
"You don't have to hold me so far away you know, you can pull me a little closer." You turn your head to look at him, "I mean it is kind of chilly out."
"Oh-uh," Spencer's arm pulls to hold you just a little bit closer, "Better?" His grip is still pretty weak around you, and you sigh.
"You know, Spence, I'm still pretty cold." You frown, staring down the suit jacket he was wearing.
"Do you want to go back inside? I didn't even have a full beer the entire time I was there- I can go get my car real quick and drive you home if you want. It's only a block or so away." Spencer responds, his voice quick, and nervous- it was obvious he was eager to solve the problem of you being so cold.
"No," You laugh, shaking your head, "I'm cold is kind of girl-code for, you should give me your jacket."
"Oh!" Spencer laughs, "Oh- I'm sorry, yeah- here, here have it." Spencer speaks earnestly as he slips the jacket off of his shoulders. He shivers as the loss of the fabric leaves him in only a thin button up and you can't help but feel a little bad for asking him to give it to you. But he hands you the jacket with a smile on his face, which lingers even after you put it on. It provides a marginal amount more of warmth than what you felt prior.
"Better?" Spencer asks.
"Mhm," You nod, "Thank you."
Spencer only gives you a tight lipped smile and a nod in response.
"So," Spencer starts as the two of you begin walking, his hand slipping into yours almost instinctually, it catches you a little off guard, and you feel your cheeks run hot at the gesture. "Where are you headed?"
"Oh- uh, back to Boston I guess," You squint your eyes, thinking, "I usually take the bus, the stop is up that way." You point up ahead in front of you.
"Let me go with you," Spencer says quickly, "I mean- not to your place, but let me ride the bus with you, I don't want you going by yourself."
"Why not? I'm a big girl, I can take care of myself." You retort, trying to hide the fact that secretly, butterflies are growing in your stomach at his eagerness to take care of you.
"I just want to make sure you get home okay." His hand grips yours tighter.
"Okay," A small smile draws at your lips, you don't want to fight him on it anymore, truth was you'd love nothing more than to spend a little bit more time with him, even if it was a short bus ride.
The streets of the city are utterly dead, not a sound to be heard except the whistling of the wind and collision of your high heels and the pavement. You wonder what time it even is, how long had you even spent at that stupid party?
The bus is just as empty as the rest of the city. When it arrives, nobody but you and Spencer are on, the two of you sitting patiently under the bright fluorescent lights for the bus to move. The lights are straining on your eyes, and the horrendously carpet-patterned seats might hurt your eyes even worse.
"What stop do you get off at?" Spencer asks, being the one sitting the closest to the button to let the driver know when it's your stop.
"University Drive."
The lights dim as the bus driver pulls away from the stop you'd been picked up at, and you're able to relax your eyes once more. You let your eyes relax until all of a sudden they're closed and then-
"Hey," You feel your head being jerked, "We're here."
"Hmm?" You grumble, slowly opening your eyes.
Your stomach drops, and you're absolutely mortified to see your head is rested on Spencer's shoulder. You whip your head off from where it laid and quickly stand up from the seat.
The bus ride was fifteen minutes, you couldn't believe you fell asleep. Much less fell asleep on some guy you barely knew. You're a mess of worry as you exit the bus, thinking about how awkward you probably made Spencer feel. You're so caught up in your thoughts you barely notice how cold it is as you step outside.
"Hey, look, I'm right over there." You say, pointing to the large dorm building behind you.
"I'll walk you to the door." He smiles, and your panic immediately slides away.
You walk with your head down, looking intently at the sidewalk under you as you head forward to your building, trying your best to keep in a straight line. You had to admit, you were pretty upset your time with Spencer would be ending in just a few short minutes from now. You tried to scheme up a plan to get Spencer to stay longer, but no ideas would stick to your brain. You sigh, crossing your arms across your chest as you approach the front door.
You whip around to look at Spencer who's trailing just a few inches behind you.
"Well," You sigh, "I guess this is it." You pull your mouth to one side in a small pout.
"Yeah- I-uh, I guess so," He shrugs, "I had a nice time tonight, thanks for, making my first party experience a lot better than i was expecting." Spencer's hands are shoved into his pocket, and he rocks back and forth while he talks, unsure of himself as his eyes dart all around you.
"Of course," You grin, letting your hands drop down at your sides, "Say," You cut yourself off, and shove your hands into the pocket of Spencer's coat, fishing, until you find what you were hoping for. You pull out a pen from one of the coat pockets, and grab Spencer's hand. "I want to see you again before you become some big tough FBI agent." You smile, scrawling the digits of your phone number on the back of his hand. "Call me sometime?" You hold his hand up for an extra moment, before letting it drop back down.
"Mmmhm, yeah," Spencer bobs his head up and down vigorously.
"Okay, good. Goodnight Spencer," You smile, giving him a small wave.
"Goodnight y/n" He smiles back, as the two of you turn around to go your separate ways.
You notice as you turn back around that you're still wearing Spencer's jacket, part of you has the urge to call out to him to give it back, the other part of you wants to keep it- if he wants to get it back, he'll have to come see you again.
"Wait! Y/n!" You hear Spencer from just behind you. You frown a little, thinking your plan to keep Spencer's jacket had been foiled and he was calling to get it back from you.
"Yeah?" You whip your head back around.
"Did you mean it when you said to let you know if I wanted to have my first kiss- and that you'd change that I've never um-"
"Uhh..huh," You responded, a little to eager as an uncontrollable smile began to tug at the ends of your lips, "Are you asking me to kiss you Spencer?"
"Maybe," His voice breaks, unable to look you directly in the eyes.
You raise one eyebrow, "Maybe?"
"Ahem. Uh- I mean- yes."
Before you know it, you're tugging at his tie, pulling him close to you. Your lips are on his, just a peck at first, Spencer is hesitant. He is unsure of what to do with any part of his body, his lips move carefully, his hands unsure of just where they should be, they rest on your hips- before they move right under your shoulders. You make the decision to tilt your head and deepen the kiss. Spencer's lips are soft with inexperience, he has absolutely no clue what he's doing, yet you can't get enough.
The two of you pull away slowly, neither one of you wanting to give up the kiss- but you eventually have to surrender to the night and to the cold. You place one final peck on Spencer's lips.
"Now you have to call me." You giggle, unable to hide your excitement.
"Yeah-yeah," Spencer nods, eyes wide, his lips are shiny and his cheeks a pretty shade of pink. "Absolutely."
"Goodnight Spencer." You say once more, before turning around to head inside.
A/N: whew! when I tell you I spent all day writing this i mean all day! that's okay though... im obsessed with grad school! reid. anyways..... thinking about making a (potentially smutty) part two to this ;-)

Their S/O Being Based on Deadpool (MCU)
Characters: Kagaya Ubuyashiki, Tengen Uzui, and Shinobu Kocho Inspired By: The new Deadpool movie A/N: The Reader is female in Kagaya's part since he does have children. Other than that, have fun! ⚠️ Spoilers/Trigger Warnings for: Mentions of spousal death in Tengen's part and threatening with a sword in Shinobu's ⚠️
╔══════════════════════════════════════════╗
╚═════ Kagaya Ubuyashiki ════════════════════════╝
🌸 When the Hashira had a meeting about Tanjiro, they were shocked to see you dangling upside down from the ceiling of the Ubuyashiki mansion, your eyes closed as you smiled underneath your mask
🌸 They knew that you were basically the polar opposite from your husband, but they didn't imagine it to this degree!
🌸 You landed on the ground and adjusted your dual nichirin swords before walking up and kissing your husband's head, making his gentle smile enlarge
"It is good to have you here once again, my love."
"It's good to be back, Kagaya. So, what's been happening while I've been gone?"
🌸 As your daughters explained everything to you, you noticed how the Hashira acted while Tanjiro laid there with confusion and slight fear in his eyes. He must be worried about this demon sister of his, how odd...
🌸 Kagaya merely nodded along with the girls and begin the whole scenario, being unaware when the young slayer jumped up and smashed his head against Sanemi when he attacked his sister in the box
🌸 To be fair, you would've done the same
🌸 As the whole ordeal ended, you looked at your husband and lightly grabbed his hand, and since you had taken your gloves off he could feel your slightly deformed skin with ease
🌸 You closed your eyes and leaned your forehead against his, making Kagaya sigh while the girls ran off to check in with your old friend and husband's caretaker, Amane Himorogi
🌸 While you picked up your husband and carried him back to your room, knowing he was going to have to take some medications here soon to help out with his worsening condition, and began to tell him about what happened during your nearly month-long mission to a town many miles away north
🌸 And as you recanted everything that happened, Kagaya noticed how you yawned and began to adjust yourself behind him before you stopped talking all together
🌸 Oh how he wished he could see your cute sleeping face like he could back when you both were younger... no matter, he'll see it once again someday

╚═════ Tengen Uzui ════════════════════════════╝
🔊 Your flashiness and his literally was the thing that drove you guys to speak a lot more
🔊 From your home lives, his being raised as a shinobi to yours being raised as a soldier serving an old -and now dead- clan, you guys just clicked. And it annoyed almost everyone
🔊 When he was about to head off for his mission to the Entertainment District, he had asked you if any letters from your wives had come through
🔊 You sighed sadly and stopped sharpening your blades, setting them down on the ground before standing up and hugging your husband, giving him your answer non-verbally, which was far from your normal nature. It was obvious this was affecting you just as much as him
🔊 Unlike Tengen, you had already lost a spouse just a few months after your marriage, so when you heard no word from your new wives, you just about lost your mind with the memories of your ex's death passing through
"I'll take this as a no." Tengen said, raising his hand to rub your back in a comforting motion.
"You'd be right."
"Damn. I hoped I wouldn't have to go. I don't want to leave you here alone."
"Tengen, I'll be fine. I have my friend's tsuguko and his strong-as-hell self here. Don't worry. No demon is getting past us, promise."
🔊 The Sound Hashira chuckled as you mentioned the young woman, while you rarely taught her, due to her breathing style being more of a explosion-force nature and not based on pure chaos like yours, you did treat her like a teacher would a student
🔊 Looking down at your masked face, Tengen lightly gripped the edges and pulled it up, allowing him a view of your lips and the ability to kiss them
🔊 As he raised his head once more and adjusted your mask back in place, the Hashira looked into your eyes and said his goodbyes
"Tengen. You better find the girls. If you don't, I'm not going to ever forgive you."
"Understood, dearie! See ya!"

╚═════ Shinobu Kocho ══════════════════════════╝
🦋 Shinobu and you were fairly different. She was always smiling and being kind to others while you were a lot less expressive (since you literally wore a mask everywhere) and more sarcastic/uncaring
🦋 She knew that you could care less for a majority of the world's safety, since you came from a rough home and had an even rougher growth, but the way you defended the very small amount of people you cared for was amazing
🦋 One day, you noticed that Kanao was a bit down, but instead of ignoring her like with pretty much everyone else, you sat down next to her and asked her what was up
🦋 Your longtime girlfriend just so happened to walk by and see how you let her lean against you and rest for a little bit. It was a sweet sight for her
🦋 Shinobu also liked to see how you attempted to be quiet and gentle with the butterflies around the mansion. Whenever one landed on you during your first few months there, you would normally squash them without a care, but now you would let them stand on you without a glance
🦋 And while you kept your more polite nature up for a while, when you were called for the meeting to speak about Tanjiro, who you just so happened to journey with for a bit, and saw how Sanemi had stabbed Nezuko's box... you snapped
🦋 Gripping your swords, you launched yourself forward before stopping abruptly, a huge gust of wind blowing in your fellow slayer's face
🦋 Sanemi stood there shocked as your glared at him strongly, ignoring the words of the others behind you
"Put the box down, Sanemi. Or else I may just have to treat you like the demon I slayed a few hours ago."
"Y/N. Calm down," Shinobu said.
"Not until he puts the little girl down."
🦋 Shinobu watched as Sanemi laid the box down next to you, allowing you to pick it up and lay it in the shade of the Ubuyashiki Estate. Though, you didn't move away from it, preferring to sit down next to it in an effort to relax the kind demon inside from the pain
🦋 The Butterfly-loving slayer kept her smile up, though there was an obvious sadness in her eyes as she observed you. You must have seen one of your past allies in her... like how she remembered Kanae when Mitsuri would smile sometimes
🦋 When the meeting ended, Shinobu had approached you, and instead of asking you why you threatened Sanemi, she just held your hand and ushered you back to the Butterfly Mansion kindly
"...Are you upset at me for that?" You asked.
"Oh beyond upset, but we must focus on the new slayers for now."
🦋 Oh you were in for it later...

But do you think the plan will work?
Oumota: tarot reading edition! I had this idea during Oumota Week and just got around to finishing it now 😔. At first I thought about giving Sun to Kaito and Moon to Kokichi (a la Reversed Sun by grayimperia), but I think it works better to have them both in each card, to highlight the parallels. (If you want more explanation of my design thoughts, I'll put it under a cut at the end.)
General tarot meanings:
The Sun: happiness, confidence, success, optimism, innocence/childhood, inspiring others, internal motivation, truth
The Moon: illusion, imagination, uncertainty, secrets, confusion, intuition/the subconscious, fears influencing you, insecurity
The Star: hope, regaining inspiration, renewal, healing, moving on, new purpose, calm after the storm (Reversed Star: despair, lack of faith, pessimism, boredom, anxiety, being overwhelmed by past problems)
.
I feel like while Kaito is naturally more Sun coded and Kokichi more Moon coded, they have some qualities of both cards. And Star vs Reversed Star is so temping to bring in for DR.
I was thinking of it as a past, present, future kind of reading, but also maybe situation, action, outcome. Starting out with high self confidence and some childish black and white thinking. (Maybe a little over confident and childish to the point of egotism and inflexibility, shades of reversed sun...). Covering for insecurities by projecting a fake persona to everyone around, doubling down on the lies and self-deception a la chapter 5. Finally, either coming through everything stronger, with renewed hope, or else crashing and burning, overwhelmed by unacknowledged issues that have built up.
.
As for the specific imagery...
Sun: I stuck pretty close to the traditional imagery here. The flag/banner has their respective prints on it, and I put Kaito on Mars while Kokichi remains on Earth. It's also sundown or sunset for Kokichi; is he moving towards the Moon or away? The horse is obv. very chess piece inspired. Kokichi gets his King Horse a la the mask on his bed, and I gave Kaito a pegasus because flying.
.
Moon: Moving a little bit away from traditional imagery as more of the canon situation seeps in, but still pretty close. The moon floats "outside" the cage, wearing their respective false faces. (We know from the ending that the skyline on those glass panels isn't real...) They both have an Exisal in the background in place of one of the towers, but Kaito has a bamboo grove a la Princess Kaguya; Kaguya came from the moon and she will go back, no matter how much people on Earth love her. Kokichi has one of the racks that sits beside shrines where you're supposed to tie bad/unlucky omikuji (paper fortunes) so that the bad luck doesn't follow you; living in purposeful denial of bad things, but they lurk there on the horizon.
They both still have at least one dog/wolf, but I gave Kokichi a fox because of their association with being tricksters. Also, wolves and foxes, as predators, are framed as villains in stories, but at the same time it's also not uncommon to see them as heroes (stereotype of predator/hunter vs stereotype of bravery/nobility and cleverness). Also, contrast of fox and hound, like the clash of Kokichi presenting himself as childish + annoying vs a genuine threat. Kaito has the dog, monkey, and pheasant that accompanied Momotaro, continuing his fairytale theme.
Everyone seems to argue over what the crawfish means in the original, but I went with the interpretation of moving from water to land, evolution, things coming to the surface. So, Kaito has a koi. I think most people know about the "koi climbs a waterfall and becomes a dragon" thing because of Magikarp, but here it is again just in case! Kaito's got an aquatic creature struggling against its nature in hopes of someday actually transforming into something grander. Kokichi has a poison dart frog. Already amphibious, so it can go between water and land freely, but visibly harmful to anyone who tries to get close.
.
Star: The least traditional imagery and the most V3 canon imagery. There's still a tree, but it's a pine tree. ...I dunno, no explanation for that, it just looked nice 🤷♀️The two jugs are replaced with the poison and antidote bottles. Originally, they're supposed to represent the conscious and subconscious and pour in two different places, but here they're mixing together directly. V3 resolves the "truth vs lies" theme by arguing you have to accept ambiguity. Also, Kaito and Kokichi's whole plan rests on them managing to work together to obscure exactly who is in the Exisal in the end.
There's a figure in the foreground in Kaito's jacket, but they're just a silhouette (a la the culprit); it's not either of them, it's both, and they're reaching beyond the bounds of the game. The star in the sky is ringed by the trial podiums, since all of their hope for the future rests in derailing the next trial. Can they win? Well, Shuichi and Kiibo are at the top, the two people they (or at least Kokichi...) know can be problems, but Tsumugi is specifically blocked from view, always overlooked...

episode seven: the bathtub
Steve sighs, “I just… I wanna help.” Maybe it’s his black eye or the pathetic way Steve says he wants to help, but the man comes down the ladder and hands him the dirty rag he had been using. “All yours.” Steve takes his jacket off and accepts the rag and climbs up, ready to get to work. He really does want to help, he has been trying to help. And Steve just really hopes that you can see his efforts someday, maybe even soon. He’s had a really rough week.
summary: your brother basically places himself on the fbi's most wanted list and el flips a van with her mind, now you have to create a giant salt tub because of course you do, nancy tries Talking About It but hasn't she read the title ? you don't have the time. sidenote: you've somehow become a steve defender during these trying times. typical. meanwhile: steve's inner thoughts are pathetic.

-
When you finally get to the police station, exhausted and sweaty from running, an angry blond woman is following after Hopper as he guides Joyce, Nancy, and Jonathan towards his cruiser.
“Arent you going to do anything about that toothless kid and his weird friends?” She screams at the officer, but he just ignores her and instructs the others to get into the car.
A toothless kid and his weird friends? Gee, you wonder who the woman could be talking about.
You get to the car right as Hopper has started the engine. You knock on the window and he sighs when he sees it’s you. He rolls down the window. “Why is it always you?”
“I think it’s time you learn that wherever he goes,” you point towards Jonathan, who smiles at the chief, and then you point at yourself. “I go.”
“She’s right.” Joyce mumbles from the passenger seat.
Hopper places his head in his hands and sighs once more. “We don’t have time for this. Step away from the car. Now.”
You blink. “I’m sorry?”
“Leave, go home.”
Jonathan speaks up from the backseat. “Hopper, she has to come with us–”
“Where the hell are you guys going? Weren’t you arrested?” You ask, now even more confused.
“Not arrested, just detained.” Joyce corrects.
The officer groans. “Does any of this matter? We need to leave, now.”
“We can leave as soon as you let me in the car.”
Hopper stares at you. “You have no idea what you’re walking into, kid.”
“Try me.”
“Step away from the car–”
“The ‘toothless kid’ that the crazy woman shouted about is my brother!” You shout, entirely over this entire conversation. Like hell this bitter old man is going to stop you from following wherever Jonathan goes. Especially if Dustin is involved somehow.
“I told you, no-”
“I can and will hop on the hood of this damn car if you don’t let me in within the next five seconds.”
Hopper laughs. “Sure ya will.”
“One,” you begin counting.
“That’s not going to work.”
“Two,”
“Uh, Hopper?” Jonathan speaks up. “She’ll do it, you know.”
“Three,”
Hopper doesn’t listen, and now Joyce is getting annoyed. “Hop, just let her in.”
“I kind of want to see her jump on the hood.” Nancy says, causing Jonathan to laugh.
“Four,” you walk to the front of the car and pop your foot up, getting ready to start climbing. If Hopper thinks you aren’t being serious, then that’s his own damn fault. He starts shouting at you to knock it off while Joyce pleads with him to listen to you. Jonathan tries to get out of the car, but Hopper has locked them in. Everyone is arguing and yelling and you’re just ready to say fuck it and straddle a cop car.
Right before you can jump entirely onto the hood of the car, Nancy lurches from the back seat and screams through Hopper’s window, “Y/N, just tell the man about El!”
Everyone freezes; no one says a single word. Slowly, you lower your leg and walk over to the driver’s window once more while Hopper just stares at you. You can’t exactly read the look on his face, but if you had to guess, it’d be something like of course this kid knows about El.
“Who the hell is El?” He demands as soon as you’re back in front of the window.
“Buzzed hair, nose bleeds when she uses her powers, and hangs out with my brother and his friends. Ring any bells?” You ask, a slight smirk on your face because you know you’ve won. Bless Nancy’s quick thinking.
Hopper’s face drops and he lets out a tired sigh. “So, you know about the girl?”
You snort. “Yeah, I know about her. Better yet: I've met her, and I know something awful is about to happen. Let me into the goddamn car. Now.”
The two of you have a stare down for a couple seconds before he finally gives in and unlocks the door. “You’re the worst in the group.”
“Oh, just wait until you hang out with my brother. Now, let’s go for a drive, shall we?”
–
The slight amusement you felt earlier quickly dissipates as Hopper explains everything going on. He explains El, who is really named Jane, and how he had found her mom and learned that some guy named Brenner was conducting experiments on her while she was pregnant. Thus, he created El and her powers and ultimately kidnapped her, leaving her mother to believe that she was dead. Now El has escaped, causing Will’s disappearance, and unfortunately some other horrible consequences.
Said consequences include driving to Nancy’s house because this Brenner guy apparently really wants El back and has gone as far as faking a twelve year old’s dead fucking body. Now he’s currently tracking her and the boys down.
Who knew Hawkins could have anything as exciting as a shady lab and actual men in black coats?
“Y/N, I need you to tell me everything you know about this girl,” Hopper demands, glaring at you from the rearview mirror as you sit between Nancy and Jonathan.
You do as you’re told, but admittedly there’s not much to tell him. Sure, you know El and have spent some time with her now, but other than that you’re still a bit lost yourself. The details are fuzzy in your mind, a picture has almost formed, but not quite.
As you’re struggling to explain more about the Upside Down to a very frustrated Hopper and a concerned Joyce, a parade of Hawkins Power and Light vans fly past the car and turn onto Nancy’s block. Once again, everyone in the car goes quiet.
“Neighborhood power outage?” You ask, really hoping you’re right, but worry is now creeping in. God, you really need to just stop leaving the kids alone after this week. Dustin was just supposed to see Mike, apologize to Lucas, and have a nice conversation about how friendship is magical and all that bullshit.
It doesn’t look like they did that.
Hopper suddenly jerks the car into a different neighborhood and speeds down the block. The speed scares you and Jonathan grabs your hand, sensing your growing unease. Then, the car brakes and you’re thrown forward by the momentum. “Fuck!”
“Sorry, honey.” Joyce murmurs to you, but the view in front of you catches your attention.
Hopper has brought you guys to an overlook of Nancy’s neighborhood with a perfect view of her house being surrounded by a bunch of expensive cars and men in suits carrying items out from her basement. You see one man holding a stack of your comics with one of Dustin’s old hats on top.
You want to throw up.
Nancy reacts no better than you do and immediately bolts out the car, Hopper and Joyce not far behind her. The man whips out a pair of binoculars and scopes out the scene while Nancy just stands there, stunned. She begins to speak to him, demanding to go into her house, but he doesn’t let her.
You’re left alone with Jonathan in the car and you feel your own panic begin to settle in. Seeing all the cars, the fucking helicopters, after your baby brother… You really, really want to throw up.
You feel yourself begin to spiral. You think about how you’d left Will alone to bike home and how, because of you, he never made it back. Instead he got taken by a monster that’s big enough to kill a fucking deer. Will, small and sweet Will, is gone because of your inability to keep those you love safe.
And now Dustin and the boys are facing the same fate, all because of your stupidity. You left them alone, again, after they’ve spent the entire week sneaking off and getting into trouble. You have no reason to be surprised by their actions. You’re not an idiot, you should’ve known better.
You should’ve known better than to listen to Jonathan about not taking Will home. You should’ve known better about letting the boys explore those woods the night you found El. You should’ve reported the missing girl, called the cops, anything else rather than help hide her.
But because of your stupid, stupid, need to take care of everyone around you, to please everyone no matter what it may cost you, you’re in a cop car as your brother is being hounded down by what appears to be the goddamn FBI.
This is all your fault.
Hopper is saying something to Nancy now, there’s a commotion outside the car door and you know you should go out there and help, but you can’t. Jonathan, seeing the argument outside as well, turns to tell you that he’ll go and help, but stops when sees how pale you’ve gotten and that your leg is bouncing wildly.
He’s known you for years; he knows what you look like right before you have a complete breakdown.
He grabs you and you find yourself engulfed within his chest. His hands come up to your hair and he runs his fingers through it in a way that’s always calmed you down. You find yourself beginning to cry at the tenderness.
“I’m here, bug.” Jonathan whispers the words with his chin tucked atop of your head. He runs a hand up and down your back, drawing small patterns to try and distract you. You don’t fucking deserve the kindness.
You tighten your arms around him, afraid that he’ll slip away just like everything else has. “This is all my fault.”
“You’re crazy if you think that.”
“I was… I was in over my head.” A few tears slip out and you don’t bother to wipe them away. Instead, you bury your head deeper into Jonathan’s chest, ashamed. “This entire time, I should’ve–I needed to be better and I–I wasn’t, bee.”
Your words slur together as more tears come, but Jonathan is able to understand you regardless. He slides a hand up and under your chin, gently coaxing your head up so that he can look you in the eye. “None of this is your fault. You hear me?”
“But–”
“No. Without you, those boys would probably be dead by now. Nancy and I included. You’re the glue holding everything together, you know more than anyone else involved.”
Jonathan’s eyes burn yours, he’s so sure of his words but you know they aren’t true. You pull away from him and try to collect yourself. “There’s an entire swat team ready to hurt my baby brother… I fucked up, Jonathan.”
“Still up for debate, but if you really feel that way, then I’ll help you fix it. It’s as simple as that.” Jonathan shrugs, saying the words so simply, without any doubt or hesitation. He has such confidence in you, and you know he shares the same thought that you do: together, the two of you can do anything.
You think about your birthday gift from Will, with you and Jonathan battling a dragon together with the boys, and the thought brings you comfort. Together, you and the boys will get through this one way or another. You’re sure of that much, at least.
Plus, you have El and Nancy now.
You wipe away a few more tears and manage a smile, now feeling a bit better “Thank you, bee.”
He smiles back at you and ruffles your hair. “Any time, bug.”
The moment between you is broken by Hopper throwing Nancy into the backseat, cruelly bringing you back to reality. The boys, they’re in danger. Hopper turns to face the three of you with a crazed look in his eyes. “Look, we need to find them before they do.”
“The kids?” You stupidly ask.
“No, we’re looking for Santa’s reindeer.” Hopper deadpans, which you honestly had coming. “Yes, the kids. Do you have any idea where they might have gone?”
“No, I don’t!” Nancy still looks shaken up and you and Jonathan don’t look much better.
“I need you to think.” Hopper presses.
Nancy lets out a frustrated sigh. “I don’t know. We haven’t talked a lot. I mean… lately.”
“What about you, Y/N?” Joyce asks, her voice a bit more gentle than Hopper’s.
You wrack your brain for where the kids may have gone, but with all your exhaustion and overwhelming feelings, you can’t come up with anything. Your brain is fried. “I’m sorry, Mrs. Byers.”
“Is there any place that your guys’ parents don’t know about that they might go?”
You and Nancy look at each other for ideas, but you both end up drawing a blank and shake your heads at Joyce. She sighs, but seems to be more understanding. You really wish you could be of more use, but besides Mike’s house, the kids don’t really go anywhere except…
“The junkyard!” You exclaim, throwing yourself forward in your excitement.
“What?” Hopper asks, his interest now is on you.
“The boys went there yesterday with El, they had a fight and–”
Hopper cuts you off. “I don’t need the petty details, just tell me where this junkyard is.”
“I… can’t.” You deflate now, realizing that you have no idea how to access this damn random field in Hawkins. It’s not really an official junkyard, just an area with leftover cars and trash piled up over the years. The boys have never taken you there, it had been the one spot they’d kept all to themselves.
“You can’t?” The man questions, his usual annoyance with you is present once again.
Before an inevitable argument breaks out, Jonathan speaks up. “I don’t know what Y/N is talking about, but I think I know how to ask the kids.”
–
When you get to Jonathan’s to look for Will’s walkie, you’re a bit car sick from Hopper’s damn speeding. You get that this is an urgent matter, but holy shit you feel ill.
You, Jonathan, Joyce, and Nancy hop out the car and start heading towards Will’s room. Jonathan and Joyce guide the way and you’re right behind them until you see Nancy stop in the living room.
“Woah,” she breathes out, examining the room around her. You forget that she’s only been a part of your life for a few days now and hasn’t yet seen the state of chaos that is Jonathan’s house.
“Yeah, welcome to the Byers home.” You say, grabbing her hand to tug her along.
When you get to Will’s room, Jonathan is digging through his drawers while Joyce is on the floor searching underneath his bed. You immediately walk over to the closet and begin sifting through his numerous boxes of comics and drawings.
“I got it!” Joyce announces from under the bed and scrambles into the living room with the walkie in her hand.
You follow after her and sit next to her on the couch. Jonathan stands next to you while Nancy is on your right and Hopper is by the door. Joyce fiddles with the walkie. “Okay, now what?”
“I’ll talk to them.” Nancy says, but you shake your head at her.
“No offense, but I think they’ll respond to me better. I mean, they like me.” Hopper snorts across the room and you close your eyes. “I didn’t mean it that way.”
Nancy bites her lip but eventually nods, thankfully understanding what you meant. “Yeah, okay. You should go first, then. They’ve always listened to you more than me.”
Joyce hands you the walkie and you thank her. You look at Hopper and hold the walkie up. “Anything I should specifically say?”
“No, just find out where they are and we’ll go from there.” He commands.
You nod and take a deep breath, silently praying that the idiots will respond both for your own sanity and pride. Exhaling, you bring the walkie to your lips. “Dustin, it’s Y/N. Do you copy?”
Silence, no one responds on the other end and you feel everyone’s eyes on you. “They’re paranoid right now, okay?”
Joyce reassures you that it’s fine while Hopper groans, unimpressed. You silently curse Dustin, who would choose right now to embarrass you and not listen.
You take another deep breath and try again. “Hello? Earth to Dustin and co? Guys, it’s me and I really need you to respond. Immediately. I will start crying if I need to.”
Again, more silence follows. You want to scream and throw the walkie across the damn room, but you keep your composure and try one last time and square your shoulders. You’re aware of Jonathan and the others in the room with you, so you’re dreading having to say this, but you know it’s the only way to get them to respond. ”Mike, Dustin, Lucas, and possibly El: what you’re about to hear is private and so incredibly embarrassing but obviously I have to prove that I’m me so you idiots respond.”
Jonathan’s eyes widen. “You’re not really going to confess to–”
You shush him and keep talking. “Dustin, remember when mom told you that Mews peed on my bed and that’s why I had to stay in your room for the night last year? Well, surprise! It was me. I peed the bed because I had a nightmare after you made me watch Friday the 13th.”
Nancy makes a noise that sounds suspiciously like a laugh covered up by a cough and Joyce herself stifles a laugh. Hopper doesn’t even try to hide his laugh and you just really wish the ground would swallow you up. All Jonathan can do is offer you a pitying smile. This is fucking mortifying.
And yet: no one answers.
You let out a frustrated groan. “Listen to me! Either you answer or I have a very annoyed and rude Hopper who would be more than glad to interrogate you boys himself. This is your last chance–”
“Ya know, you really should’ve just used Hopper as a threat from the start. We would’ve listened.” Mike’s voice comes through the walkie, causing you to sigh out with relief.
“Yeah, now we know you peed your pants at fifteen.” Lucas adds.
Then Dustin’s voice carries through. “I’m ashamed to be related to you, Y/N.”
“Thanks, Dustin. You’ve always had my back.”
Hopper takes the walkie from you and heads towards his car while demanding directions from Mike. He leaves without saying another word to everyone else, simply leaving you with Joyce, Nancy, and Jonathan to wait for his return with the kids.
You wring your hands together, unsure what to do in this situation. So, you do what’s familiar to you; you take care of those around you. “Mrs. Byers, do you still have my baking supplies here?”
–
Steve was having a rough week.
It started with finding you crying in the middle of the road while you were on your bike. At first, he hadn’t been sure it was you, but as you had biked closer and almost hit him, he knew then that you were indeed Y/N Henderson. When you swerved into a ditch to avoid hitting him, Steve did what any rational person would do.
He helped you.
You had been hesitant of him at first, nervous and guarded and Steve couldn’t blame you. Up until then, the two of you hadn’t had the best interactions. He’d always seen you around in the hallways at school, knew about your obsession with comics and Spider-man, and he knew how kind you could be and had witnessed first hand how devoted you were to helping anyone you could, regardless of who they were.
When Steve was in eighth grade and you were in seventh, Carol had bled through her pants and Tommy had been laughing at her and calling her disgusting. Steve hadn’t been much better, honestly, the two of them had reacted how any other idiotic thirteen year olds would. When Carol started to cry, Steve finally felt bad and told Tommy to knock it off and help his girlfriend. It started a whole argument between the two of them, but as they were bickering you swooped in and offered to escort Carol to the bathroom.
He had watched as you delicately took the girl’s hand and said something soft and kind to her as you guys walked to the bathroom. A lanky boy, who had been with you, told you he’d wait by your bike while you were with Carol. You thanked him and then you were gone, the door to the girl’s bathroom closing behind you.
“Who was she?” Steve remembers asking Tommy. He’d been curious about you and your actions, because not even ten minutes before Carol had bled through her pants, she had been making fun of your scuffed sneakers in the lunchroom. She’d been especially viscous back then, and yet you hadn’t hesitated to help her.
“Y/N Henderson. She’s new, moved here a few weeks ago.”
Steve had kept watching the bathroom door, hoping to catch another glimpse of you. “And the boy?”
“Jonathan Byers.” Tommy snickered. “Poor family, complete nobodies. Guess Henderson likes a pity project.”
“Yeah. Guess so.” The door still hadn’t opened, so Steve sighed and motioned to Tommy to follow him. “C’mon, my mom hates waiting for us.”
So, yeah. Your very first interaction with Steve had been you watching him make fun of a poor girl experiencing her first ever period.
Not a very good first impression.
Ever since then, Steve had kept an eye on you. Maybe not consciously, but you’d always been in his peripheral. He’d seen all the times you helped someone, from teachers to the local stoner kid, Eddie Munson, who needed a pen for his exam so you’d given him your only one and ultimately couldn’t take your own exam. Steve had always wanted to ask if you regretted that, but he was sure you’d say no. It’s just what you did.
He watched as you and Byers grew closer, almost inseparable, and Steve decided that eventually the two of you would get together and live happily ever after. When your hair grew a bit longer and your scuffed sneakers turned into pretty mary janes, Steve figured it’d happen in no time.
Then Will disappeared and Steve had found you crying in a ditch after almost hitting his car with your bike, and everything seemed to change. He wasn’t exactly sure what, but he knew he wanted to make you smile. He’d never been alone with you before and he felt bad about Will; he knew how close you were with him, so he cracked a few jokes, pretended not to know who you were, and then you smiled at him for the very first time.
A real, true, beautiful smile that had left Steve breathless for a moment.
God, then you laughed and Steve swore he’d never heard something more genuine and pure. He had felt like a little kid on Christmas day, giddy over the fact that he had made you laugh at his stupid joke.
Immediately Steve was addicted. He vowed then and there to do whatever he could to help you, to get you to laugh and smile and flash him that annoyed look that seemed to make your eyes reflect everything good and lovely.
So he did.
Steve had helped you out of the ditch and watched as you biked away, lingering until he was sure you’d be safe. He had invited you to his house for a party, figuring that maybe you’d enjoy a distraction from life. Sure, you had rebuffed him pretty harshly, but he had deserved it. He had been an ass to Byers.
But then Byers had taken pictures of his naked girlfriend and Steve’s world had felt like it’d been flipped upside down. How dare he? Byers was yours, everyone knew that. Hell, the entirety of Hawkins knew that. Why the fuck would he need to take pictures of Nancy, his Nancy, when he already had you? Not only was it creepy and invasive, but it was a major offense to someone as selfless as you.
Logically, Steve had to retaliate, it just wasn’t okay. He had told Tommy the plan and then before he knew it he ended up waiting by Byers’ car to confront him, and then alongside him had been you. Of course you’d been with him. Steve should’ve expected that.
He hadn’t wanted for you to get dragged into it so aggressively, but he also had to tell you the truth. Steve knew there was no way in hell that Byers had told you about the photos, so he had to be the one to break the news before anyone else could. It had killed him to see you so upset.
When Tommy threw you onto the ground, all Steve felt was rage. You weren’t supposed to be the one getting hurt, and yet somehow you were. It enraged him that he couldn’t do more to help, but before he knew it you were on the ground and he had rushed over to help.
He doesn’t remember much else that had happened next, but when your back pressed against his chest to avoid Byers, Steve had felt his heart flutter a bit. Again, he had felt like a little kid on Christmas day, giddy and excited and warm. You had needed him at that moment, so Steve helped.
“See, you can tell that he knows it was wrong, but that’s the thing about perverts. It’s hard-wired into them. They just can’t help themselves.” He had placed his hand on your shoulder, a risky move he had been afraid would scare you away, but you stayed; you had been warm underneath his touch.
Steve hadn’t meant to break the camera, honest. It just kind of happened, his brain had been muddled by your presence. He felt bad about it, but Tommy had whooped all impressed and Carol had encouraged him on, so he had to pretend that it hadn’t bothered him.
But it had.
It had really, really bothered Steve.
He just wanted to help, to defend you, and yet he had gone too far. And he had felt awful about it.
So, when he had spotted you once again biking on the road, struggling up a massive hill the next day, Steve had figured that this was his chance to make it up to you. He thought that if he had offered you a ride, the two of you could talk. When you accepted, Steve had happily thrown your bike in the back and felt so fucking relieved. There was still a chance.
Then the two of you engaged in the banter that made Steve feel so alive and he knew that it’d all be okay, it had to be. He had teased you, gotten you to blush and laugh once more, and Steve felt like he was on top of the world being able to offer you some type of relief from the news of Will’s death. He had helped you, if even for a little while.
Somehow he had ended up confessing to you that he had been trying to make you laugh a few days prior, having pretended not to know your name. “Figured you wouldn’t want to talk about it and the least I could do was make you laugh. And voila, I did.”
He’ll always remember the shocked expression on your face, the way your eyes softened for a moment with vulnerability and Steve had found himself wanting to lean in closer to see if he could make you blush an even prettier red. He had refrained, though (barely).
But his good mood vanished when you had berated him about breaking Byers’ camera, which he had to admit was a selfish move on his end. He had already felt bad about it, but to hear you remind him that Byers didn’t have the money that Steve did, it hurt in a way he hadn’t been familiar with.
And yet, like you always seem to do to Steve, you had completely turned his mood around with only a few words.
“For what it’s worth, I don’t think you’re a bad person.”
Your words had hit Steve harder than he would've ever thought possible. No one had ever told him that, not even his mother who always insisted on calling him her beautiful boy. Everyone always called Steve various names such as King Steve, the King, Steve “the hair” Harrington, and every possible way to complement his appearance, but no one had ever told him he was a good person.
You had called him “alright”, and those words had been on his mind for the rest of the day, creating a new warmth in his chest every time he thought them. You, Y/N Henderson, had thought Steve was “alright.”
It felt like he had won the goddamn lottery.
Until Nancy started acting weird and ditching plans with him for some mysterious “project”, which sucked. He hadn’t been sure what he did, but he was sure he’d done something to offend the girl. He always managed to do something to hurt those closest to him.
Imagine his surprise when he had driven to Nancy’s and spotted you, glowing in the moonlight and lovely as ever, looking for the girl as well. Pretty fucking convenient, huh? Something was up, Steve could feel it.
And boy, was he right.
There Byers had been, his arm draped over his girlfriend, sitting side by side in her bed without a singular care for the people they were hurting in the process. Typical.
Again Steve had felt that anger deep within him, the same anger from when he saw those pictures of Nancy, because how dare Byers? There you had been, standing underneath Steve, worried about Nancy because you’re the best damn person he’s ever met, and yet Byers had been abusing your kindness and trust for his own gain.
No.
Steve was livid.
“You deserve better, Y/N.” He regrets yelling at you and pushing you away, but Steve had been so overwhelmed with his anger. You deserved everything and more, why couldn’t anyone else see that? Why was Steve the only one who could see this?
Hell, anyone could hurt Steve. He wouldn’t care, he always deserved it in the end. He wasn’t nice or good or worth kindness, but you? Hurting someone like you, someone as selfless and wonderful and genuine, was goddamn unacceptable.
Steve did the only thing he knew: he had to hurt Byers and Nancy for hurting you.
So he did.
And fuck, Steve really wished that he hadn’t, because now he’s standing underneath the Hawk’s sign with a black eye and a bleeding lip and really wishing that you were here to remind him that he’s a good person.
He also really hopes that you still believe this.
Steve had only been trying to help you, to get you to see your own worth and recognize how much of an ass Byers and Nancy were to you. But you had run away, back to that asshole, and Steve had been left to clean up his own mess.
“Need a hand?” Steve calls up to Byers’ boss, who is on a ladder trying to scrub off the cruel spray painted taunts of Nancy.
The man looks down at Steve, his face twisting into a sneer. “Did you have something to do with this?”
Steve sighs, “I just… I wanna help.”
Maybe it’s his black eye or the pathetic way Steve says he wants to help, but the man comes down the ladder and hands him the dirty rag he had been using. “All yours.”
Steve takes his jacket off and accepts the rag and climbs up, ready to get to work. He really does want to help, he has been trying to help.
And Steve just really hopes that you can see his efforts someday, maybe even soon.
He’s had a really rough week.

The cookies only take you thirty minutes to make, which is way before Hopper is expected to be back with the kids, so you awkwardly hand out a plate of them to Joyce, Jonathan, and Nancy before sitting in between the teens and pulling out a comic.
Nancy hesitantly takes a bite, but her uncertainty melts into bliss. “Oh my god, these are delicious.”
“Y/N makes the best oatmeal raisin cookies, they’re insane.” Jonathan says with a mouthful of his own cookies.
“Thanks,” you say, flicking through the pages of your comic and trying to remember where you last left off. You keep an assortment of comics between Jonathan’s house and Nancy’s basement just in case you’re ever left with a need for one. Thankfully you’ve always planned ahead, because this latest issue of Spidey keeps you distracted as you wait for Hopper and the kids.
You’re doing your best to keep your anxiety at bay, but it’s hard. Baking has always calmed you, though tonight you’re still left feeling jittery. You’ve never been a patient person.
No one speaks as you wait, the clock on the Byers’ wall ticks away at a maddeningly slow pace. You try to focus on your comic, but it’s useless. Eventually you give up and flop your head onto Jonathan’s shoulder, frustrated and anxious.
The second you hear Hopper’s car pull into the driveway you sprint off the couch and run straight towards Dustin. He’s in your arms before he’s even had a chance to fully get out of the car. “Geesh, Y/N!”
You ignore his complaining and hold onto him tightly. He’s alive and safe and whole. Thank god.
Nancy does the same with Mike. “I was so worried about you!”
“Yeah, uh… me too?” Her brother mumbles back.
You snort at him and reluctantly pull away from Dustin to only then pull Lucas into a hug, which he hadn’t been expecting. You squeeze the other boy tight. “Where the hell did you guys run off to this time?”
Before they can explain, you see Nancy eyeing El and you immediately rush over to the girl and engulf her into a hug as well. You haven’t seen her in ages, you’ve missed her and she looks a mess. “El! God, look at you!”
“Is that my dress?” Nancy asks.
You inspect El’s dress and realize that yes, it is indeed an old dress of Nancy’s. You raise an eyebrow at the boys, silently asking for an explanation.
Dustin smiles and gives you a thumbs up. “Who’s ready for an update?”
–
All you’ve managed to learn tonight is that Will is the only one in the group with any artistic abilities.
Mike has drawn a horrible recreation of what Mr. Clark had explained to them at the funeral a few days ago, the whole tale about the flea and the acrobat. While the boy is explaining the situation to everyone else, all you do is wonder how the hell he couldn’t even draw a straight line.
“Okay, so in this example, we're the acrobat. Will and Barbara, and that monster, they’re this flea.” Mike points to below the line he’s so poorly drawn. “And this is the Upside Down, where Will is hiding.”
You’re sitting in between Jonathan and Joyce on the couch and notice their confused faces, causing you to sigh. “Oh, just wait.”
Mike glares at you but continues with his explanation. “Mr. Clark said the only way to get there is through a rip of time and space.”
“A gate.” Dustin adds.
“That we tracked to Hawkins Lab.” Lucas then finishes.
“Don’t forget the compasses.” You mumble, trying your best not to butt in too much. You’re not really sure how much you should disclose about the fact that you’ve been in on the boy’s adventure without informing the literal cop who is in the room.
Hopper, who is seated across from you, narrows his eyes at you.
Yeah. Best not to push it.
“Right, the compasses.” Dustin leans in closer to everyone to make sure they understand what he’s about to say. “The gate has a really strong electromagnetic field, and that can change the directions of a compass needle.”
“Is this gate underground?” Hopper now speaks up, though his eyes are still on you. El softly responds with a “yes” and the man doesn’t look too happy.
“Near a large water tank?”
“Yes,” El says softly again.
“You’ve been there.” You conclude, now holding onto Hopper’s gaze. Seems like you weren’t the only person keeping secrets, then.
Hopper doesn’t break eye contact. “Yes, I have. And you’ve been playing double agent.”
You shrug. “Didn’t have much of a choice, did I?”
“You should’ve told the police, kid.”
“Like you would’ve believed me.”
“You let these kids run off on their own, does it really matter what I would’ve believed if I had known they’d be in danger?”
You can feel your anger beginning to resurface. You’ll never admit it to anyone, but Hopper manages to bring out an anger within you that only your father could do before. Facing him, you feel like a ten year old again screaming against her father. “I did what I could! I’d never intentionally bring them harm. Don’t ever imply otherwise again.”
“Y/N, Hopper, now isn’t the time.” Joyce interrupts, her face ashen. You feel your anger drain from you as it’s replaced with guilt. She’s right, now isn’t the time for petty arguments with a cop who has a weird vendetta against you.
Joyce then turns to El, her voice shaky and you grab her hand as she speaks. “Is there any way that you could… that you could reach Will? That you could talk to him in this–”
“The Upside Down.” El finishes for her and then gives her own response as a nod.
You notice Nancy nervously picking at her fingers, so you ask El your own question. “What about Barb? Do you think you can find her, honey?”
Nancy gives you a smile and mouths “thank you”; you nod your head at her, understanding.
Again, El nods and you let out a breath of relief. For the first time in days, it feels like you finally have a solid and functional plan. Things are finally starting to all come together and now it isn’t just you who has to glue the pieces down. You have help.
After the conversation you help set up everything El needs to contact Barb and Will. You help Nancy tear a picture of Barb and lay it on the table alongside a picture of Will. Mike has switched his walkie into static and the white noise seems to help the girl focus.
All of you crowd around El at the table, not saying a word. Joyce is seated while you and Jonathan stand behind her, each of you have a hand on her shoulder and she holds onto you both like her life depends on it.
You find yourself holding your breath as El closes her eyes and begins her process of contacting Will. You’re terrified that maybe this time she won’t find him, or worse… She’ll find him, but he’ll be long gone already. You’ve already come so fucking close, you’re worried that your luck will run out soon.
Static fills the air and the lights start to flicker. El opens her eyes; her face falls with despair and you immediately know that something has gone wrong before she even whispers, “I’m sorry.”
Joyce’s hand tightens around yours. “What? W–What’s wrong? What’s happened?”
El begins to cry and her voice breaks. “I can’t find them.
“Shh, it’s okay, honey.” You’re at the girl’s side in a heartbeat, crouched down so that you can look her in the eye as you try to soothe her. “Hey, look at me. You tried your best, it’s okay. I’m right here, my dear.”
While you comfort El, Jonathan comforts his mother. The two of you share a quick glance and through it you’re both able to convey the same message: I’ve got her, take care of the other. Without any other word, you gently guide El to the bathroom and tell her to take some time to herself and that you’ll be there for her when she’s ready.
“Thank you.” She mumbles, tears still in her eyes.
“Of course. Take all the time you need. None of this is your fault, okay? I need you to understand that.”
El nods before she closes the door, but you know she doesn’t believe you. You guess this is how Jonathan had felt earlier in the car when you confessed that everything was your fault and he’d tried reassuring you that it wasn’t. It isn’t easy convincing someone that they haven’t done anything wrong, not when they truly believe that they have.
You hear the faucet running in the bathroom, so you walk over towards the living room to check in on the others. Mike is explaining El’s powers when you catch the tail end of their conversation.
“Like, she flipped a van earlier.”
“El flipped a van?” You ask, staring at the boys in shock.
They all smile at you and Dustin eagerly shakes his head. “Yeah, it was awesome.”
“I left you alone for five hours, Dustin.”
“That was your first mistake.”
Now Mike butts in. “I also jumped off a cliff and El caught me midair with her powers.”
Your jaw drops. “I’m sorry, what?”
“Shut up, Mike.” Lucas nudges him with his shoulder. “What we’re saying is, she’s drained.”
“Like a dead battery.” Dustin confirms.
Joyce looks around helplessly. You know she’s doing everything she can to follow along. “Well… how do we make her better?”
“We don’t.” You say, having known El long enough to notice the limitations to her powers. As far as you’re aware, the only way for her to regenerate her strength is through rest. But who knows, maybe during those five hours you left the kids alone they somehow found a magical crystal that heals El.
Mike nods at you. “Y/N’s right, we don’t. We just have to wait and try again.”
“Well, how long?” Nancy is seated next to Joyce and she looks just as overwhelmed as the woman. Had you not had some time before this with El and the kids, you’d be equally as confused as them.
“I don’t know.” Her brother responds, head ducked in shame.
Suddenly El appears. “The bath.”
You run back over to her side and crouch down once more. “Hey, I told you to tell me when you were ready to come out. Are you feeling better?”
“Yes,” she smiles at you, and though she looks exhausted, you know it’s a genuine smile. “I can find them. In the bath.”
“The bath?” You ask, and later you’ll regret doing this.
–
Dustin is the one who thinks of calling Mr. Clark, though you’re a bit skeptical of the idea.
“It’s late, what if he’s busy?”
Your brother laughs at the idea. “Sure, Mr. Clark will be busy and you’ll have a hot date waiting for you tonight.”
“Dude, harsh.”
He waves you off and dials the teacher’s number and you’re choosing to ignore the fact that it’s inappropriate for Dustin to even have the man’s number. You stand next to him as he takes the call, ready to intervene if needed.
“Mr. Clark? It’s Dustin… Yeah, yeah, I just… I–I have a science question.”
You drop your face into your hands and sigh with disappointment. Smooth, real smooth, Dustin.
“Do you know anything about sensory deprivation tanks?” Dustin’s eyes widen and he quickly looks over at you, covering the phone so that he can frantically whisper, “he asked why!”
“Why are you looking at me?” You whisper back, equally at a loss for what to tell the man.
“You’re no help!” Your brother whispers back, rolling his eyes at you before returning to the phone. “Sorry, technical difficulties. Anyways, we need to know for… fun.”
Again you facepalm and Jonathan, who is standing behind you, rubs your shoulders to relieve some of your stress. You relax against him and remind yourself to calm down. Dustin can handle this, he’s always been better at this stuff than you have; he was practically made for this life of lying and mischief. You were made for cookies and comics.
There’s a pause on the other end of the line and you can faintly hear Mr. Clark ask to talk about the topic later, preferably after a school day, but Dustin insists. “You always say we should never stop being curious. To always open any curiosity door we find… Why are you keeping this curiosity door locked?”
The demanding tone causes you to stifle a laugh and you feel Jonathan doing the same. Yeah. Dustin was made for this.
Mr. Clark and your brother discuss the details of the tank for a while so you wander over towards the table and sit down. You hand Dustin a piece of paper and a pencil so that he can write down important information and flick through a comic as you wait.
As soon as he hangs up, Dustin throws the phone down and turns towards Joyce. “Do you still have that kiddie pool we bobbed for apples in?”
“A kiddie pool?” You ask at the same time Joyce responds, “Yeah, I think so?”
“Good. Then we just need salt. Lots of it.”
“I’m sorry, salt?”
You’re ignored once again as Hopper asks how much salt is needed. Dustin looks down at his notes and bites his lip. “1,500 pounds.”
“What the fuck…” You mutter under your breath, completely exasperated by the entire situation. A kiddie pool and 1,500 fucking pounds of salt? No. This is where you draw the line. You can handle monsters and alternate dimensions, but a kiddie pool full of salt to create a sensory deprivation tank is just too much. It’s your breaking point. “My life isn’t real.”
–
Somehow, amidst the diverging of groups to tackle everything needed to make El’s tank, you end up with Nancy in the shed at Hawkins Middle. You’re really not sure how it happened but one minute you were with Jonathan and Joyce, the next you’re in a shed with the girl you have very conflicted feelings over.
Mike is standing outside the door while you and Nancy struggle to grab the hoses from the shelf. The things are surprisingly heavy so it takes the two of you to get them down. You grunt as you throw a third one down into a barrel. “God, what do these things eat?”
Nancy chuckles. “No clue, but I’m sure Jonathan and Hopper are having a better time with all those salt bags.”
“Touche.” Then both of you are quiet again as you continue working.
“So… what’s up with you and Jonathan?” Nancy suddenly asks, which causes you to drop the hose you’d been holding.
“Shit!” You bend down to pick it back up, though you also do it to try and compose yourself because what the fuck. “And nothing. There’s nothing going on between us.”
Nancy frowns. “Are you sure? I mean, I don’t want you to think I’m intruding or anything.”
“Intruding?”
“I mean… shit, I don’t know how to word this.” She fumbles with her own hose. “I just– I want you to know that you have nothing to worry about.”
You know she means well, but Nancy’s words only upset you for a multitude of reasons. “Nancy, I mean this in the nicest way possible, but why does it matter?”
“Why does what matter?”
“How I feel about Jonathan. I mean, you’re with Steve. He’s your boyfriend, there shouldn’t be any reason for me to worry about you and my best friend.”
Nancy looks down at the ground. “You’re right, but it’s not like that. Nothing happened between Jonathan and I last night. I promise, I know he’s yours and–”
“You know, I’m really fucking sick of everyone trying to tell me what Jonathan and I are.” You spit out.
Nancy flinches. “I’m sorry.”
“It’s fine. Let’s just focus on the task at hand, okay?” The girl nods and places the last hose into the barrel, but there’s something that’s been on the back of your mind for a while. “Look, I know you mean well and I’m sorry for being so mean, but… Cheating is something I can’t get behind.”
“I’d never cheat–”
“I know, but a word of advice? Figure out your own feelings before you hurt those closest to you.” Nancy’s frown deepens and you sigh. “Don’t tell him I said this, but even though Steve can be an asshole, he’s still a good guy. He’s already really hurt over seeing you with Jonathan. I just… I don’t want to see him get hurt again, it wouldn’t be fair.”
“Didn’t know you had a soft spot for him.” Nancy says, a hint of something else within her voice.
“Believe me, I don’t, but it sucks knowing that the person you love may love someone else.”
“Woah, I don’t think he loves me–”
“Maybe not yet, but he’s starting to. So again, I urge you to figure out what you want before more people get hurt. Jonathan included. He’s my best friend, Nancy.” You take a deep breath and will yourself to be vulnerable. “Regardless of whatever I may feel for him, he deserves to be happy. You need to figure out your feelings before you’re in too deep. Okay? He’s been through enough to last a lifetime and he’s the best damn guy in this hellhole of a town.”
Nancy swallows and for a moment you think she’s going to refute you, but instead she straightens her posture and gives you a curt nod. “Yeah, you’re right.”
You finish up in the shed in silence. Once you’re done you wheel the barrel out and motion for Mike to follow. “Here, can you take this? I’m going to go check on Dustin.”
Mike makes a face. “I mean, I guess, but–”
You quickly hand the kid the barrel and run back inside the school. You’re a shaking mess from your conversation with Nancy and you need to get away from her as quickly as possible. The conversation replays over and over in your head and each time it’s like a punch. Were you too harsh? Have you revealed too much to her?
Whatever, you don’t have time to dwell on it.
You run back into the school and slam the door behind you.
–
It takes a while to set everything up within the gym. You help Mike hold the hoses as Jonathan and Nancy turn the water on. Lucas holds a thermometer and monitors the water’s temperature and when it’s time, you use your new switchblade to tear open the bags of salt alongside Jonathan and Hopper. Every five bags or so, Dustin drops an egg into the pool to check the buoyancy.
It’s a team effort, but eventually the eggs begin to float and you breathe out with relief. One task down, a million more to go.
Mike switches on the walkie and you help El put on her tapped goggles. Once everything is ready, you hold her hand as she carefully steps into the water. When she’s fully in, you step away and sit down between Jonathan and Nancy, a position you somehow always find yourself in.
As soon as El begins to float in the water, the lights start to flicker before completely shutting off. You feel the static that always seems to accompany her powers. No one moves, too scared to break El out of her concentration.
You wait for a few minutes, uneasy. You’ve never actually seen El’s power in action besides when she made your comic book fly up in the air, so you’re unsure what to do while you wait. Then, faintly, El mumbles, “Barbara.”
Nancy jolts to life and leans in closer to the girl. The lights flicker once more but this time you see El’s body tremble with fear.
“What’s going on?” Nancy asks you.
“I don’t know. I think… I think she’s scared.”
“Scared? I–” Nancy leans even closer to El now. “Is Barb okay? Is she okay?”
You pull Nancy back, not wanting to overwhelm El, but it’s too late. The poor girl trembles even more and repeatedly mumbles “gone” until her voice raises and she begins to cry out. Nancy starts to cry and you motion for Joyce to hold El while you handle Nancy.
Joyce reaches over to comfort the girl and you pull Nancy into your arms as she cries. “I’m so sorry, Nancy.”
She cries harder and you tighten your arms around her. All your anger towards the girl from your conversation from earlier has faded. Barb, Nancy’s dearest friend, is gone. You can’t imagine how she’s feeling right now. If you ever lost Jonathan… God, a piece of you would die.
Eventually Nancy manages to calm down and pulls away with a soft “thank you”, but you keep your hand around hers as you pay attention again. You know she’s embarrassed about her reaction, but you don’t blame her for a second. Later, after all of this, you’ll make sure to check up on her.
“Will?”
You hear Jonathan gasp next to you and he grasps at your free hand. You sit there in shock and feel your heart swell. Tears lump in your throat at the confirmation of Will being alive. Will, beautiful and sweet Will, is alive.
You squeeze Jonathan’s hand and the two of you look at each other. There’s tears in his eyes as well and you both let out a slight chuckle of disbelief. After this horrible week, everything that you’ve been through together to find Will, finding out that he’s alive by each other’s side only seems fitting.
“Tell him… Tell him I’m coming. Mom is coming.” Joyce instructs El, strength returning to her voice.
The walkie sparks to life with Will’s voice. “Hurry.”
You choke back a sob. “Little bee,”
Jonathan squeezes your hand again and you rest your head against his shoulder, completely sagging with relief. He’s here. He’s real and he’s alive and he’ll be in your arms once again soon.
“Okay, listen. You tell him to… To stay where he is.” Joyce is speaking with an urgency now as she hovers over El. “We’re coming. We’re coming, okay? We’re coming, honey.”
The sweet moment is ruined by the walkie’s intense static. El quickly sits up and tears her goggles off and begins to panic. She flings herself into Joyce’s embrace and you hurry over to console her as well. She’s just a little girl, she’s been through so much for someone so young.
You kiss her forehead the way Jonathan always does to you. “You did so well, El. I’m so, so proud of you. You’re incredible, okay? We’ve got you, you’re safe with us.”
Joyce echoes your words and the two of you hold tightly onto El as she cries. You look over at Nancy, who is staring off into space with her own despair in her eyes, and you feel such an intense wave of hurt hit you. You’re all so young. The kids are all huddled together in shock. None of this is fucking fair.
–
You opt to stay behind with the kids on the bleachers as Jonathan, Joyce, and Hopper discuss what to do next. Nancy has walked away, presumably to grieve, so you give her the same she desires.
El shivers, so you tighten the towel around her. Lucas rubs her arms to try and warm her up as well, something that brings a faint smile to your face. You guess the two of them sorted out their differences, then. Good. El needs more friends like Lucas in her life if she’s going to continue hanging around Dustin and Mike. They’re insensible, but Lucas isn’t so bad.
Dustin’s stomach rumbles and he lets out a sheepish laugh. “Sorry, ignore that.”
“Oh!” You gasp, suddenly remembering the cookies you packed in your bag. You had grabbed them before leaving Jonathan’s, figuring the kids hadn’t eaten all day. “Here, made these fresh today. You all get three, that’s it.”
The boys fight over who gets one first and you leave them to sort it out themselves. You roll your eyes at them; they’re such heathens. You focus your attention back to El, who remains pressed against your side. “Hey, honey. How are you feeling?”
“Tired,”
“Hmm, I think I can understand why.” You grab a cookie while the boys aren’t looking and offer one to El. “Have you ever had an oatmeal raisin cookie?”
She shakes her head.
“Ah, well then you’re in for a treat. You see, I’m kinda known for my cookies. Everyone loves them, see?” You point towards the boys, who are about to start throwing punches over the biggest piece, and El giggles.
Your heart brightens at the sound. “Here you go, try it.”
She accepts the cookie and takes a tiny bite. As she chews, her eyes lighten and she lets out a quiet “yum”.
“‘Yum’ indeed.” You agree with a smile.
Eventually the kids settle down and eat their own cookies in silence. You figure that the events from today have finally caught up to them, so you eat your own cookies in peace. You’re content to sit with them for a bit, relieved to have all your boys with you safe and sound. You’ve missed them.
Once you’re done eating, you wipe your hands off and gently nudge El aside. “Sorry, honey. I should go check on Jonathan. I’ll be back in a sec.”
She nods at you and moves so that you’re able to get up.
“Where you going?” Dustin asks with his mouth full.
You make a face at him. “Dude, don’t talk with your mouth full. You know mom hates that.”
He sticks his tongue out at you and you roll your eyes. “I’m going to go find Jonathan. Make sure no one leaves, alright?”
Your brother salutes you and you salute back before heading towards the gym doors. You’re about to open the doors, but then you see Jonathan sitting with Nancy against the wall through the glass panel.
You freeze, unsure if you should interrupt them. They seem to be deep in a private conversation, Nancy’s face is twisted with so many emotions you feel almost guilty for looking in. Like you’re intruding on something.
Then again, it always feels like you’re intruding when you’re with them lately.
Is this really what you want?
Your hand hovers over the door handle and for a moment you think you’ll pull it open, but you don’t. Instead, you turn around and walk back over to the kids. You’re not sure what you’re feeling as you walk over, but when Dustin sees you he seems to notice a change in your demeanor.
He frowns at you. “Is everything okay?”
“Fine.” You say numbly, sitting down next to him. Your shoulders are stiff, your leg is bouncing up and down.
Dustin looks over towards where you came from and he seems to freeze as well. He looks between you, then Jonathan and Nancy in the hallway, and he exhales. “Oh.”
“Yeah. Oh.”
You think your brother will leave the topic at that, but he surprises you. He grabs your hand and gives it a squeeze. You look up and see that he’s smiling at you and your heart breaks all over again for an entirely different reason. You look around at Lucas and Mike, who are bickering over the cookies, at El who watches in amusement, and then finally at Dustin who is holding your hand and offering you whatever comfort he can provide you.
Dustin knows you as well as you know him, he can sense a shift in your mood before you even can. He’s here with you, holding your hand because the boy you love has broken your heart once again, and Dustin is doing this without you having to tell him. He just knows, and you love him all the more for it.
You’re surrounded by so much love it takes your breath away for a moment.
You squeeze Dustin’s hand back, so immensely grateful that he’s your brother. “I love you, kid.”
He smiles that wonderful toothless smile that you’ve loved since he was a baby. “I love ya too, sis.”
“Are you two done? Can I ask Y/N for more cookies now?” Mike calls over, though his voice is kinder than usual. You guess that even he has noticed your mood change but doesn’t want to pry.
You wipe your eyes quickly and stand up. “So demanding. Let me check my bag, but I doubt it.”
“I’m your favorite, let’s be honest here.” He responds, trying to get you to laugh.
It works. “Sure, buddy.”
You walk over to your bag and rustle around, but you know there’s none left. You’re just thankful for the distraction, and you have a sneaking suspicion that this had been Mike’s plan all along. You look up and see him staring at you with a concerned look in his eyes and your heart swells even more.
You’re so surrounded by love; sometimes it feels like you’re even drowning in it.

hiii idk if requests are open so either have this as a silly little thought or a request <33
lucifer and (ideally gn/male) reader have been flirting for a little while and then one day lucifer finally asks reader out, but they reject him
he’s super confused thinking he may have misunderstood their whole dynamic until he overhears reader telling someone at the hotel the reason he rejected lucifer is because reader feels like lucifer would never be able to love them as much as he loved lilith/doesnt want lucifer to use them as a rebound
overall i was hoping for hurt/comfort but whatever rows your boat, love your stories and i hope to see more of them in the future !! have an amazing day <3
.° ༘ THE OTHER WOMAN ᝰ.ᐟ .
#pairing: lucifer, x gn reader.
#cw: angst, fear of being the second choice, lucifers backstory with lilith, starting something new, accepting that relationships come to an end, happy ending 'cause im not that mean hehe (at least not yet).
#note: I LOVE THIS REQUEST SM, i haven’t wrote any angst in my blog BUUUT i love it, this request is mwuah.
everyone at the hazbin hotel knew that lucifer had been courting you for the past few months, everyone except you.
or, well, that’s what the sinners at the hotel thought, at least. you obviously knew that the king of hell had been flirting with you, and at the beginning, you almost fell head over heels for him, until indecisive thoughts started to fill your head.
"was he REALLY flirting with you?", "why would he still be wearing his WEDDING ring if he had been flirting with you?", "will he ever LOVE you like he loved lilith?", "will his daughter even ACCEPT your relationship?"
as soon as those thoughts started appearing, you started distancing yourself from the fallen angel, sadly for lucifer he had already started to get the courage to officially ask you out on a date.
the king of hell wasn’t an idiot; he noticed how you started to make up excuses to not talk to him alone or how you weren’t really responding to his flirting anymore, but decided to be stubborn and brush those thoughts off.
-
as soon as you received a text from lucifer saying he would pick you up around eight, you knew he was planning something, and as soon as you saw him all dressed up, nicely done hair and his prideful smile showing on his face, you knew what was coming, but who were you to not appreciate his efforts? if you knew that it was going to end someday, why wouldn’t you enjoy the moment? yes, you were being a fool for accepting his offer, but having a tiny crush on him wouldn’t hurt you, right?
after having a nice and really luxurious meal at a restaurant in hell, lucifer guided you to an actually peaceful spot where you could see all of the pride ring. ironic. who would even think that hell has a peaceful place, one where you should feel relieved, but why weren’t you feeling that way? was it because you knew what was to come?
"(name), is everything alright?" lucifer interrupted your thoughts with his angelic voice, or could you say demonic? at the end of the day, he was still an angel, just a fallen one. "mmh? yeah, i was just..lost in my thoughts i guess" you answered, admiring his glowing red eyes shining in the dark. "oh, okay" he said, letting a nervous laugh come out. "i think there is something i need to tell you, (name)" lucifer said, this time his voice had a serious tone. "i thought that after lilith I couldn’t get to love again, but heavens was i wrong. i had the chance to get to know you this past months, and…you've changed my life in that short time." he started, giving a sincere smile "would you want to be my partner?" he asked, fidgeting with his fingers as you stared at him.
oh, well, that question made you nauseous. "i-, i don’t think i want that, lucifer" ouch, that hurt his pride."I think it’s time for me to go, i’m sorry" you said in a quiet tone, standing up and leaving him there, and as much as you didn’t wanted to look back, you did, but the only thing you could see was lucifer in the same position as when you stood, this time though, he was hugging his knees staring at the view you both were looking at just a few minutes ago.
-
since his confession about his feelings towards you, he hasn’t been in the hotel, and the cast started to suspect that it has to do with the date you had with him. charlie was the most preoccupied, since she had been the one to encourage his dad to finally ask you out. she tried texting his dad to ask him about your response, but the king of hell just responded with a "it didn’t go as planned, but don’t worry about it, char-char."
after that text charlie obviously knew that his father was feeling bad about whatever happened that night, and would isolate himself from the others, so for her attempts to not let that happened she kind of tricked you into visiting him, she asked you about the date, and since you kind of lied to her by telling her that the date went as normal as a date should go, she then answered by saying something along the lines of "if that’s so, would you mind reminding him that he needs to come to the hotel?"
you could write lucifer a text message telling him to come to the hotel, but since you literally ran away that night, you forgot that your cellphone was laying somewhere near to where you both were sitting, so yeah, you did in fact lost it.
-
going to his mansion was a really weird feeling, what can you even say after rejecting someone? would he even open the door? as you were lost in your thoughts again, you heard the front door open, and as you made your way into his house it wasn’t really hard to find his bedroom.
as you knocked before opening the door, the first thing you noticed was how lucifer had his bedsheet covering him, it made you smile since you noticed how charlie did that too, so you could guess she got that from her father.
there was a silence as you both stared at eachother, until lucifer decided to interrupt the silence. "i-, i-i’m sorry about what happened, i think i might had misunderstood our relationship" he confessed, his messy hair and dark eye bags made you worried "it’s okay lucifer, and about that night..there is still something i haven’t told you about my answer" you declared, making him look at you with such hopeful eyes, oh hell, how can such a prideful fallen angel have so much faith in what you were going to say. "i said I didn’t want to take it further, since i still believe your heart belongs to lilith, and because of that i thought that rejecting you would be the best option." he opened his eyes at the mention of his past lover. "but, me and lilith haven’t been dating since seven years, (name) what me and her had is long gone" he reassured you, while signaling you to sit on his bed, the king bed who looked so comfy yet so empty. "lilith still is an important person in my heart, she has been with me since beginning of humanity and is the mother of my daughter, but the persons who’s my heart belongs now is you, my love" after hearing those words you could feel your eyes fill with tears, of course lilith was gonna be an important person in his life, but why would that stopped you from being in his heart as well, were you being selfish all this time? wanting to be the only person who’s important to him?
"and, this time i haven’t been at the hotel, i thought about why you said no, and i think i may have noticed something" he said, getting out of his bedsheets and caressing your face, you could feel your face burn at his touch, yeah, you really have missed him, "you were always staring at my wedding ring, weren’t you?" he asked looking at you with a glum face, yes, you do recall looking at his wedding ring while he looked at you with loving eyes, the ring that made you doubt so much about his feelings towards you, "i was a fool for wearing my ring while flirting with you, and if my ring has made you have those doubts about our relationship, you should know that i had decided to take it off" after hearing those words, you noticed that he was right, you haven’t noticed until now, you didn’t feel that cold ring against your face. "and if you still willing to try, i’m sure that soon enough i will be using a ring who will be showing who my heart really belongs to"
"that’s so cheesy" you answered chuckling, you tried to jokingly ignore the fact that he just said he would propose you, because if you took it serious you were sure that your face would be as red as the famous apple, actually, you were sure that if he offered you the 'fruit' you would have accepted, wait, were you even thinking about a fruit? but anyways your angel needed reassurance from you, that in fact, you liked his cheesy words. "yes, i still want to have you in my afterlife, lucifer" "well, if that’s my future’s wife/husband wish, then, who am i to object?" the fallen angel winked at you before starting to teasingly kiss your whole face, the moment he started doing this, you noticed something you didn’t thought you could, you felt like his first option, not just a rebound.
and yes , it will be a long journey until he really overcomes his past relationship with lilith, but since he's willing to do as much for you as you would do for him, you both will soon overcome your fears of past experiences.

everybody’s falling in love but me
⟿ wc; 2k+
⟿ Sakusa Kiyoomi x gn reader ; dramatic fluff, for me this is really a cute fic, hope you like it
⟿ have you ever felt like everyone’s been experiencing love and relationships as if it was a trend and you’re getting left behind? I wrote this fic because of that
He hears another rant from Atsumu. Hinata rushes to guess, and Sakusa doesn’t need to listen further to determine what this is all about.
Love. Again.
How long did Atsumu’s previous partner lasted? Two weeks? 6 days? A night?
He sat at the gym floor and sees Bokuto smiling cheekily despite his girlfriend coming over to scold him for overexerting given his shoulder injury. Hinata is on a call with Kageyama, grinning and jumping, as if practice was not tiring enough.
He passes on Atsumu’s request, heavily declining to stay up until midnight taking care of wobbly legs and liquor drowned cognition. And for a well-built set of athletes, it sure is a heavy work.
Besides, the topic will be the same. Atsumu vents, hogs all the drama, Bokuto and Hinata would comfort him while Meian tries to give a man-to-man advice. And when the night breeze grows heavy and their hazy eyes starts to cloud with brimming tears with a weird mixture of laughter, only tales of love would escape their lips.
Sakusa shakes his head and hurries packing up knowing the blonde setter would drag everyone out for a drink. And no matter what kind of opinion he says, his teammates would point out his own demise. Right, he is not even in a relationship.
All his friends seem to feel warm and giddy talking about the important people in their life. Sure, their partners had flaws, but all those details seem to fit the puzzle. Drawn back by time again and again, as if tethered by invisible threads of affinity, through complains and smiles, they keep coming back.
Like it was meant to be.
Even if it meant his heart would always be at the edge of heaven and hell all the time?
He likes his comfort zone as it is even if it means he is alone. Alone but not lonely, well, most of the time.
Sakusa can’t fathom the idea of how they can be willing to gamble on the table, hoping that their partner would show a card of heart.
Of all computed probabilities, love must be a question of chance.
Dumb luck. Fate. Destiny.
Whatever it is, his walls are tall enough for love to even take a peek.
Sometimes, confusion spreads over him, was he being left out? Is his heart just half a piece and there’s actually a need for someone to complete it?
Actually, he never liked putting much effort in liking someone. Simply, the time and attention to spend, he thinks it is not worth it.
He assumes several points, mostly illogical, but he thinks otherwise.
First, to get used to someone’s warmth and the eternal winter that would follow once it’s gone. Second, he doesn't want to be a memory in someone's past, archived and forgotten as though once upon a time, he was just a side character in a story.
Lastly, but of course you will never hear him admit it.
He feels scared. Once he ends up alone, back to how he always was, he does not know how to cope with such loss.
With that, he prefers not feeling anything, getting attached, or falling in love at all.
There’s the constant fear of being left alone and hurt. For a heart to get used to a rhythm and then long a melody of what your heartbeat used to dance to.
But of course, he knows it is more complicated than that. And it was never easy admitting it. It’s hard to express this feeling. Of hoping to love and be loved, at the same time still enjoying the peace of solitude.
It seems to be an ignorant bliss, when you don’t know love drawn along the lines of commitment. Sure, he can admire someone but not in a way there’ll be a ring on his finger someday and vows will be exchanged.
His feelings were often intellectualized, and the words just never materialize.
There’s another fear that lingers, that admitting his feelings means a promise. That he will never leave them too.
What if his feelings change along the way?
He admires the concept of affection and intimacy but not when it is about someone’s name to be carved in his heart.
It seems fun. No, fun is not the word for it. It’s difficult to describe, but loving and being loved must be something special.
‘Who am I to find joy in such experience?’ He often asks himself.
So, he will simply think about this for a few nights, or days, or during showers, in-between tv shows, just enough to acknowledge this feeling and let it go.
See, there’s a lot of issues he is still working on. And may it be a decade or a century, he wishes to be well prepared before he falls in love.
Because he knows when he falls, it will be like gravity had him on a chokehold.
“You’re meeting again?” Bokuto asks. Suddenly, everyone’s attention is on him.
It’s an early end for their practice today. It barely warmed him up. Although Sakusa protests, he plays anyway. He grumbles but still plays volleyball all too well. Hinata complains how he can hate and love a thing, and still be good at it.
“Right Omi, I wonder why’s that” Atsumu sneaks a remark, with a hand placed on his shoulder, eyebrows wiggling. His teammates are too good at jumping, often at conclusions.
“It’s for that case settlement” Sakusa replies.
“The house ownership?” Everyone pauses to listen as Atsumu speaks. “Wonder how someone did manage to scam you” Atsumu’s right. He thinks of himself as ahead of analyzing people, turns out he’s vulnerable when someone offers something with the label ‘sale’.
“Why not let it go? You’re rich, unless you want to keep going on those ‘case meetings’ huh”
Sakusa simply sighs. The scammer was caught months ago, but there wasn’t any progress on who gets the house. Sakusa Kiyoomi, who finally decided to buy a house, somehow ended up tangled with you.
Both of you paid the full amount for the house, caught off guard by the ‘sale’. Said it was 50% off (it never was). Truly, the scammer knows capitalism by its roots, selling the house to both Sakusa and you, presented as a bargain but gained twice the amount. And unfortunately, the money was gone in thin air. The positive side was, it was named after you and Sakusa but both of you have to decide how to settle the ownership.
The judge suggested two options:
a) one gets the house, the other compensated with money
b) sell the house, both gets compensated with money
However, both of you refuses to give away the house. It’s a perfect deal, both near your workplaces, spacious, newly renovated, completely furnished, and has that perfect aesthetic of the interior you both dreamed of.
Sakusa already told this dilemma to his teammates. He has no choice, it’s been months, and both of you kept meeting but ends up arguing. No wins, no losses. A perfect stagnant problem.
“Let Kiyoomi enjoy his dates—”
“It’s a meeting” Sakusa retorts.
“Right, and the sun’s a star” Atsumu rolls his eyes.
“It’s a star?” Hinata quickly replies, with furrowed brows.
“Well, whatever you call it, seems like you’re enjoying anyways” Atsumu shrugs. Bokuto and Hinata nods.
“They’re annoying at best” Sakusa replies, massaging his forehead thinking what chaos it will be again later.
“If you don’t like each other so much, why bother meet all the time?” Hinata asks.
“Specifically, at least twice a week” Bokuto agrees.
And Sakusa’s left defenseless. His walls came crashing down.
He ignores everything they say after, as he usually does. He finishes packing up and proceeds to check your message. He searches the location where your date will be—discussion, he smiles at his silly mistake.
On the other hand, you are getting uneasy how today will turn out although you are sure an argument will be present. It’s quite a joke you kept meeting someone despite your desire to avoid things that are a waste of time.
Meeting Sakusa is not a waste of time, isn’t it?
You deny the excitement building up waiting on him as he shows up in gym clothes compared to your academia themed outfit. It was like someone on a fitness journey was meeting up with a crumbling postgrad student.
With black sweatpants, an inch higher than his ankle, and his regular fitted black shirt, you spot Kiyoomi. As marvelous and nonchalant as ever.
Kiyoomi looks from outside the cafe’s window and pauses for almost a minute, thinking of something nice to say.
You also prepared a few phrases on your mind, something about the weather. How cloudy skies compliments the hue of his hair and eyes, captivating his features so well.
But the moment you meet, and words come out from your mouths, he was baffled how something about the weather turned into an argument about ecological footprints. Maybe because Kiyoomi kept on using his car despite the training venue being streets away. You point it out and Kiyoomi would never admit his purpose of hoping to drive you home sometime. So, he contradicts your words by the number of items you kept on purchasing and why consumerism keeps on depleting the earth’s resources.
After some lengthy banter, silence precedes.
But Sakusa wonders what remains loud, no one’s talking but something remains loud.
Then he realizes, there’s the beat on his chest.
He begins to get baffled by how many paradoxes can exist all at once.
Like how he can hate your guts but keeps making his days available just to see you.
How can he be so selfish of not wanting to give up the house just so he can hear you ramble about your life, why it was your dream house, how can it benefit your working hours, and how you hate pets are not allowed in your current apartment complex.
He hates this. How his practice tires him out but ends up coming back to meet you. Like it was meant to be.
You could also list your reasons to hate him.
You hate how he becomes silent suddenly. But his nonverbal gestures tell a lot and more than what you need to know. Like how his lips slowly lift when your reasoning was actually right. Or the way he orders for the both of you and never misses any detail, he gets it right without even asking you. Even the way he leans forward slightly just so he can hear you clearly and remind you he is listening whenever you share anything.
You begin to remind yourself, think with your head not that thing in your chest.
Of all computed probabilities, love may not be a question of chance…but a choice.
Dumb luck. Fate. Destiny.
Whatever it was, he might be slowly getting it.
You are not there to complete him. Neither he does. But simply sitting in front of him, with his pretty hair, and cute grunts. And all his snide remarks, the comments how your outfit suits you, remembering what your favorite coat is, his random sarcasm, how he remembers all the stories you told him.
His mandatory habit of collecting the receipt with your doodles, how he informs you ahead of his schedule making sure you are a part of it, and simply being with each other.
It is not just a question what this situation is. It is an enigma.
You hate him.
And damn right, he hates you too.
But you both say goodbye with smiles on your face.
Another meeting is set on a shared online calendar you previously both agreed on.
Also, the house still belongs to both of you.
a/n: I admit I get jealous of the "love experience" and I admit I never tried a relationship. Because like what I wrote, it was not the fear of love, it's the fear of losing someone you love.

You sat in the lair living room with everyone watching a movie, trying to relax after a long and grueling week at work, but it was growing increasingly difficult as you felt a hazel set of eyes watching you from the corner of the room.
The hairs on the back of your neck tingled as his gaze lingered over you uninterrupted, his brothers and Splinter too preoccupied with the movie to pay any attention. Donnie sat the farthest away from you, which you were initially grateful for, when the flick had first started. It had been harder lately to control your thoughts around him, to stop yourself from dipping into deeper waters.
You thought back to last weekend's movie night, when he had bumped into you in the hall outside of his room. He had caught you so off guard on your way out of the bathroom, the sudden jerk of your body careening backwards would've been embarrassing...if he hadn't caught you in his arms.
A look of surprise had been plastered on his handsome face, and as he leaned over you his glasses had slipped a little down his snout, but he didn't move to push them back into place. The two of you were frozen in time inches away from each other, the feel of being in his arms making you a little breathless. You had felt the blush creep over your cheeks as he held you in place, his firm muscles taut against your body. Donnie pulled you to him a little more, pressing you into his plastron. His head had started a lean in to yours, but he'd stopped himself and stood you back up on two feet before heading back to his room. You were left, chest-heaving and confused in the hall.
A loud explosion from the screen brought you back to the present.
"He's your friend. Quit it."
You chided yourself as you tried to ignore the feel of his eyes on you. It had been years of knowing the turtles, and years of daydreaming that Donatello would finally notice you. You knew it was a one-sided crush, and hopefully you would get over it someday, but you couldn't risk your friendship in the meantime. Even if he was all you thought about. Even if his gaze was making you hope.
As the group laughed at a funny moment in the movie, you couldn't help yourself as your eyes flicked to him.
He wasn't even watching the movie.
The smile still warmed your face as you made eye contact, his golden eyes sparking in the glow of the lights on the screen. A smirk spread across his lips as he leaned deeper into his chair, still observing you.
As he lifted his glass of scotch to his lips, a tingle shot through your spine while he continued to watch you over the rim of his cup. Donnie rose from his chair, mumbling about a refill, and left the room. Leo nodded, not looking away from the screen at the action scene playing out. Your phone went off a few moments later.
D: Are you enjoying the movie?
You smiled at the small screen in your hand and responded.
Y: It's okay, not my favorite. Why?
D: You seem distracted.
Heat erupted in your face as you read his text. Holy shit. You quickly glanced to his brothers to make sure you didn't have an audience.
Y: So do you.
D: I might be.
Your heart was beating out of your chest as you fought back a squeal. You weren't sure where this was coming from, but you were so. damn. happy. Before you could text back, he sent another message that shot an urgent, gnawing heat to your core.
D: I left my door open, if you'd like to find out why.
"Where you goin', shortstack?"
Raph called over to you as you had tried to quickly and quietly sneak out of the living room.
Frickin' ninjas, noticing everything.
"The bathroom. Don't worry about pausing the movie though, I'm not super invested." You laughed over your shoulder at him, walking as casually as possible while your heart was going a mile a minute. Raph shrugged and turned back to the screen, and the guys continued without you. As you rounded the corner hallway with Donnie's room in it, you heard a song filtering into the hall.
I ain't playin' no games, every word That I say is coming straight from the heart, So if you tryna lay in these arms
I'ma leave the door open
A smile blossomed over your lips as you walked into his room and shut the door behind you. Donnie was leaning over his desk, looking at something when he had heard you and turned, smiling back as you leaned on his door. He had shed his gear and was clad only in his favorite joggers that rode deliciously low on his hips, that you loved and stolen many glances at when you were sure that he wasn't paying attention. His eyes gleamed against the purple lights of his room, hidden only slightly behind his glasses and mask.
He was so handsome, you thought.
"Hey."
You let out a nervous breath.
"Hey yourself."
Donnie leaned back against his desk and let his eyes drag over your face, searching for something.
"Nice song."
He smirked at you.
"I didn't know how much more obvious I could get."
You blinked in surprise at him from the door, confused. He shook his head and chuckled lowly before looking at you again and crooking a finger at you.
You moved slowly, still so sure it was a dream, and you would wake up on the couch any moment.
Donnie noticed your hesitation and extended a long arm to you and took your hand in his, pulling you close to him. His other hand pressed against your lower back, firm and sure. You lifted a hand to his plastron, gently touching the plates on his chest, still not sure this was real but savoring every moment. You flicked your gaze up to his, and he smiled down at you.
That you feel the way I feel And you want me like I want you tonight, baby Tell me that you're coming through
He let go of your hand and drew his up to your face as the song played in the background, and Donnie tilted your chin upwards as he leaned down to you, his face so close to yours.
"Can I- kiss you?"
His voice was husky as he breathed his question over your lips, skin just barely brushing over yours. Your response tumbled out of you.
"Please, yes Donnie. God yes-"
Donnie's lips crashed into yours, all the want and need bottled up for years released in one moment. His kisses were firm and passionate, and a soft moan rumbled from his chest when your tongue entwined with his and deepened the kiss.
His hands left your face and trailed down to your hips, gripping them tightly and pulling you in closer to his body as his tongue danced with yours. You were adrift in desire, practically vibrating with want as he kissed you and kissed you.
Donnie kissed you once more before ducking his head down to your neck, kissing and nipping a trail of bites before you were melting into him, pleading.
"Donnie, please-"
Not stopping his torture, he lifted you up into his arms, hand gripping underneath your ass and walked you to his bed in the corner, laying you gently down as he followed closely.
Gazing down at you, he smiled at how lust-drunk and glazed over your eyes looked. He kissed you again, savoring the way your soft lips felt against his. You hummed softly, small hands sliding along his shoulders and arms as he slotted over you. Another gush of want dripped from you as you felt him shift, and felt him rub against you.
Donnie paused, drawing back from you slightly and nostrils flaring. His eyes were blown black, almost all traces of hazel gold gone.
"Fuck," He swore under his breath.
He rubbed his face, and let out a shaky breath. You lifted a hand to his cheek, rubbing the skin with your thumb, and he leaned into your palm and closed his eyes.
"We- we don't have to, Donnie. Don't get me wrong, I want to...I just don't want you to if you're not ready or want to or-"
"That's not-." He interrupted you, eyes flicking open and locking with yours. "I just wanted to make sure you were sure."
You nodded, smiling. He smirked back at you.
"And I needed a second, because you smell so good I was close to ripping your clothes off."
You gasped, unbelieving that Donatello of all people just said the filthiest thing you'd ever heard. Your sweet, quiet Donnie. Before you could comment on it, he kissed you again, his tongue scrubbing over yours in the most erotic kiss of your life.
In moments you were panting and breathless again, the want and hunger gnawing deep inside as lips and tongues crashed and met together like waves on the shore. His hand began roaming over your body, tracing lines like tracks over your ribs and hips.
Donnie ducked his head again to your neck, kissing and nibbling while his finger teased circles at the skin beneath the hem of your shirt. You breathed out his name in a trembling whine.
"Can I take this off?" He tugged at your shirt gently.
You whimpered softly, nodding and pressing your hips against him. He grunted low.
"Careful."
Donnie helped you sit up, sitting back on his heels and slinking a hand around your back as he lifted your shirt up. He huffed at the bra underneath, and as you laughed, he ripped the offending material in half.
"Donnie!"
"I'll buy you a new one." He purred in your ear as he laid you back down. His breath at your ear melted more sensations down to your core, tingling along your spine.
Donnie looked at you in the glow of his purple lights, your eyes gleaming back at him with hunger. His gaze lowered to your breasts, beautiful mounds of flesh just waiting for his attention. His hand gently squeezed one, then the other, pulling a soft whimper from you.
He moved to lay back down next to you, sliding a leg over yours as he grazed a pad of a finger over a nipple and watched you writhe in pleasure. Bending his head down, he flicked his tongue over the mound closest to him, sliding over the firm nipple and ripping a choked gasp from your throat.
"Don-nie-"
"Yes?" He looked up lazily, too lost in lust himself.
"Plea-se. Donnie-"
"Please, what?"
"I need you, Donnie. Please."
Your pleas did not go unanswered. A dark look glazed over his eyes as he lifted up and lowered himself to your bottoms, pulling them down with one hand. You were left on the bed in your panties.
He leaned down over your abdomen, kissing lower and lower, before changing direction and palming your thighs open. You watched as he placed kisses up the inside of your thighs, stopping just before nearing your center. You wanted to scream. You wiggled your hips as he got close to you again on the other leg, and he shot you a dark look.
"Impatient, are we?"
Smirking, he finally brought his attention to your aching center, already slick and ready and wet through the cloth. He bent his head to you, breathing in deeply and closing his eyes. You could hear a low rumble as he opened them again and looked at you, desire evident in his features.
"You smell so fucking good."
He pulled your panties off, throwing them somewhere, and laid back down in between your legs and hooked an arm under your hip, pulling you closer to him. In a moment you felt his breath against you, the heat of it making your toes curl.
His first swipe over your clit with his tongue made you jolt into him, moaning openly. You wouldn't last long.
He swirled over your clit slowly, in agonizing circles of his wide, flat tongue. You could feel your entire body buzzing with pleasure and want, so needy for Donnie to push you over that edge. Your fingers clawed at his skin as he worked, earning pleased hums from the terrapin.
As you felt him lap at you and the orgasm on the horizon grow closer, Donnie circled a finger at your entrance and pushed into you. You bit back a scream, still aware of his family in the next room, but barely hanging on to your sanity. His digit was thick in itself, and the burn and stretch felt amazing as he finger-fucked you.
"Hnngg-"
Your eyes rolled back into your head, and Donnie smirked into your sex. He lifted his head for a moment, and arched his finger against your g-spot as he spoke.
"Are you doing all right?"
"Do-nniee, pl-easse-"
"Are you sure?" He asked as he shimmied out of his pants and kicked them off, leaving himself exposed against the bed.
"Ple-ease fuck me-e, Don-nie-" you panted in between thrusts of his hand, trying to maintain your composure.
"Yes, ma'am."
He pulled his hand from you, licking his finger clean and shuddering. As Donnie rose up to align himself, you glimpsed his beautiful thighs and hips rising like a mountain, making a mental note to kiss them later. He stroked himself along his length, thick and stunning in the purple lights, as he lined up with you and rubbed over your clit again with the head of his dick. The thrumming buzz of want pooled in your stomach as you watched him, drunk in the display.
He slotted himself back over you, gripping your hip with one hand as he pressed into you. A strangled gasp escaped as you forgot how to breathe. He was just so big, and you could feel him in the back of your throat.
Donnie slowly rocked back and forth, gently pressing further into you until you finally felt the edge of his plastron at your abdomen. He kissed your temple, and it took a second before you realized he was speaking.
"Are you okay?"
You nodded, shifting your hips and adjusting to feeling so full.
He kissed you, gently at first, then more urgently as his length started to stroke in and out of you.
You could feel the edge of pleasure build back up as his pace quickened, pumping his thick cock into you as you mewled into his shoulder. He gripped his headboard tight as he shifted his hold on your hips so you were looking at each other, the fucked-out look on your face the most beautiful thing in the world to him.
"Fuck, you're so gorgeous. I want you to come on my cock, baby. Please."
Donnie shifted his hips again and pounded into you deeper than before, tipping the edge and crashing your orgasm like waves over you as you screamed his name.
Watching you come on his dick sent him over his own peak, moaning as he arched into you, pleasure so intense that he had to steady himself against the headboard above you as he came down from his high.
As both of your bodies buzzed in the afterglow, he reached down and brushed a stray hair away from your face and smiled when you blinked hazily back him.
"Donnie?"
"Yeah?"
"Am I dreaming?"
He laughed, snorting a little, and let himself fall on top of you, showering you with kisses.

"can you read the letter for me?"
It’s been years.
Four years to be exact.
Eddie left and he didn’t come back, he didn’t even visit, he barely even called.
And he certainly never called Steve.
So the letter showing up with a return address in Chicago confused him.
Chicago wasn’t even that far away. Eddie could have come by, he could have stopped in for Christmas or something.
He kept the letter on his bedside table for days, glaring at it, ignoring it, picking it up and starting to open the envelope only to set it back down.
Robin wasn’t gonna let him keep doing it though, not when she saw the want in his eyes.
“Okay. You have to read it.”
“I don’t want to.”
“I don’t care.”
“Can you read the letter for me?”
Robin sighed, but reached for it.
She opened it quickly, didn’t want to give Steve time to back out.
Stevie,
Sorry it’s been a while. I’m not sure why I let it go this long without writing or calling or visiting, but it just felt easier.
I don’t know if you keep up with the band or anything, but we’re taking a break while I get my head on right. I worked myself too hard, ended up in the hospital. I’m okay. Or I will be. I’m trying to be.
Part of my break is supposed to be visiting Hawkins. Wayne insisted I stay for at least a few weeks so I didn’t want you to be surprised to see me around town.
I know things didn’t end well with us. I know I hurt you and that I kept hurting you by not talking to you. I know I owe you more than one apology and I owe you more than what’s written in this letter, but I hope this is a start.
I’m sorry for thinking that I couldn’t have you and the band at the same time. I’m sorry for not telling you how important you were and are and always will be to me. I’m sorry that I’ve written entire albums about you and haven’t bothered to call. I’m sorry that I put myself in this position and still hope for forgiveness.
I’m sorry for being too much and not enough at the same time.
I hope we get a chance to talk in person. I want to tell you I’m sorry in person, but I understand if you don’t want to. I want to be able to see you, but I know that’s not a right anymore.
Hopefully see you soon,
Eds
“Well, that’s certainly a letter,” Robin said.
“Yeah,” Steve choked out.
“You never told me what happened before he left,” she said softly, not pressuring him to talk, but curious.
“Not much to say. We were talking about a future. Getting an apartment. Telling everyone about us. Maybe someday trying to adopt kids! But then suddenly the next week he was telling me he had to move with the band and take a chance. I offered to come with him and he said no, so. Here we are.”
“Oh. Wow, I hate him.”
“I don’t. That’s the problem.”
“So you’re gonna try to talk to him when he’s here?”
Steve considered it.
He deserved answers at the very least. He deserved to know why he wasn’t worth more effort, why the band was more important, why everything they talked about went out the window.
“Yeah. I think I need to.”

More Sherlock & Co Headcanons
Because y'all like the first ones so much.
Mariana is one of those heathens who eats the kernels at the bottom of the popcorn bowl and enjoys it.
John and Sherlock have a rotating cast of answers to the age old client question, "So are you two...?" which only serve to confuse the asker even more. It's an incredibly enjoyable sport. Sherlock often just plays dumb, to John's enormous amusement. It's their favorite inside joke.
When he does actually eat it, Sherlock's go-to breakfast food is a boiled egg and soldiers. Fight me. I will not stand for boiled eggs and soldiers slander they are amazing and Sherlock knows it.
John keeps a collection of bloopers/funny moments he's recorded during cases in a folder on his computer. When he's feeling down, he puts in his earplugs and listens to them. He never fails to get a laugh out of it.
Speaking of language headcanons in the last post, Sherlock speaks fluent Spanish (because of course he does). Sometimes he and Mariana have innocuous conversations in Spanish just to mess with John. He finally gets what it's like to be a stranger watching them all converse in BSL.
Sherlock has a strong appreciation for the musical arts. Once, after a particularly sour case, John took Sherlock to the orchestra to lighten his mood. Sherlock didn't express much outward enjoyment, still drained from the previous week's labor, but the next day the pieces they'd heard rang out through the flat as Sherlock's touch brought them to life from memory on his violin. John found this version infinitely more beautiful than any orchestra. and he even glimpsed the ghost of a smile as Sherlock lost himself in the music.
You know how everyone has a different little doodle they do when they're bored and they've got a pen and a bit of paper around? Well, Sherlock does mandalas and circle scribbles, John does little smiley faces and zig zags, and Mariana writes peoples names in calligraphy.
@obsessed-sketches and I both agree Sherlock wears a really heavy, well-worn coat for the deep-pressure stimulation. And a scarf, because those are absolutely splendid to play/fiddle with and being all wrapped up just adds a whole nother dimension to it all.
John uses Microsoft Edge as his default browser. Mariana's exasperated protests have been completely futile in convincing him to switch and to be honest, who knows if there's any hope left for him anymore.
Speaking of browsers, Sherlock would be such a boss at the 2048 game.
Someday I'm gonna have to write a dance lesson fic, because the idea of Sherlock teaching John to dance for a case lives in my head rent free for literally every SH rendition but these two especially. Sherlock freely infodumping about the history of each song he plays as he shows John how to waltz, John filling the silence with nervous rambling, that rapport setting in and them just falling into step after a few minutes and forgetting time is even passing... I know I mostly HC them as a QPR but dear god the intimacy in that may kill me.
Mariana once introduced Sherlock to the National Day Calendar. National Cellophane Tape Day, National Life Insurance Day, National Raspberry Popover Day, and the likes are now slipped happily into conversations at 221B under Sherlock's firm belief that each one is on par with Christmas in terms of their significance in the public eye. Slay, Sherlock. National Days are awesome.
John makes the cutest sleep noises.
Yk how i said Sherlock likes rainbow sour straps. If you've ever eaten sour straps, you'll know there are two ways to eat them: whole, or by tearing the colours into strips. Clearly, as a civilised human being, Sherlock does the latter.
SHERLOCK WOULD TOTALLY WRITE AWESOME POETRY AND READ IT OUT AND JOHN AND MARIANA WOULD BE STUNNED INTO AWESTRUCK SILENCE
Mariana wears those really big hoop earrings. You know the ones.
AAAAH i should stop before this becomes a mammoth block of text. Maybe I'll make a part three.
Thank you kindly for being unwillingly subjected to my opinions coming to my TED talk.
#please i have too many they are literally exploding out of my head#the innocuous domestic ones are the worst i see them EVERYWHERE#NJKGLG AAAAAAA#i probably need help#ive not proofread this post at all but yk what im posting it#sherlock and co#sherlock & co#jonk watson#sherlock holmes#john watson#mariana ametxazurra#johnlock#jonklock#podlock#sherlock and co headcanons#arter speaks

beautiful in white / lee heeseung
synopsis: what could possibly go wrong when you take your boyfriend and best friend to dress shopping?
pairing: bf!heeseung x reader, bff!jake, love triangle?
warnings: love triangle, insecurities, tension, lmk if i missed anything
wc: 600
You nervously checked your reflection in the mirror, smoothing down the fabric of the white sundress you'd chosen for the family event. It was a big deal, and you wanted to look perfect. You could feel the weight of Heeseung's and Jake's gazes on you as you turned around.
Heeseung's eyes widened as he took in your appearance. "Wow, you look amazing," he said, his voice filled with genuine admiration.
Jake nodded in agreement, a small smile playing on his lips. "Yeah, you really do. That dress suits you perfectly."
You couldn't help but blush at their compliments, feeling a surge of confidence wash over you. "Thanks, guys. I'm glad you like it," you replied, twirling around to give them a full view.
Heeseung stepped closer, reaching out to gently adjust the strap of your dress. "You're going to knock everyone's socks off," he said, his touch sending shivers down your spine.
You shared a smile with him, feeling a warm flutter of affection in your chest. "I hope so," you said softly, leaning into his touch.
Jake cleared his throat awkwardly, drawing your attention. "Um, yeah, definitely. You're going to be the belle of the ball," he said, his tone slightly strained.
You frowned slightly, sensing a shift in the atmosphere. "Is everything okay, Jake?" you asked, concern lacing your voice.
Heeseung shot Jake a questioning look, his brow furrowing with concern. "Yeah, you seem a little off," he added, his tone gentle.
Jake shifted uncomfortably, avoiding your gaze. "I, uh, I was just thinking about… um, the future," he stammered, his cheeks flushing slightly.
You exchanged a confused glance with Heeseung, unsure of what Jake was getting at. "What about the future?" you asked, your curiosity piqued.
Jake took a deep breath, steeling himself. "Well, I mean, I was just imagining… hypothetically speaking… if, uh, if you were to get married someday," he said, his words tumbling out in a rush.
Heeseung's eyes widened in surprise, his jaw tightening slightly. "Jake, what are you—" he started, but Jake interrupted him.
"I mean, if you were to get married, I can't help but imagine… you in a dress like that," Jake blurted out, his cheeks turning a deeper shade of red.
You felt a knot form in your stomach as the implications of Jake's words sank in. Heeseung's expression darkened, his grip on your hand tightening slightly. "Jake, that's enough," he said, his voice low and clipped.
Jake looked apologetic, realizing he'd crossed a line. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to… I'll just… yeah," he mumbled, stepping back awkwardly.
Tension hung heavy in the air as an uncomfortable silence settled over the room. You looked between Heeseung and Jake, feeling torn between them. "Guys, please don't fight," you pleaded, your voice barely above a whisper.
Heeseung sighed, running a hand through his hair in frustration. "I'm not fighting, YN. I just… I need a moment," he said, his tone strained as he turned away from you.
You watched him go, feeling a pang of guilt gnaw at your insides. You knew Heeseung was sensitive about the topic of marriage, and Jake's thoughtless comment had only made things worse. "I'm sorry, Heeseung," you whispered, wishing you could take back the last few minutes.
Jake shuffled his feet awkwardly, looking equally remorseful. "I didn't mean to upset him," he said, his voice tinged with regret.
You shook your head, offering him a weak smile. "It's not your fault, Jake. I think we just… caught him off guard," you said, trying to diffuse the tension.
Jake nodded, his expression somber. "Yeah, I guess so. I'll, uh, I'll give him some space," he said, edging towards the door.
You watched him go, feeling a heavy weight settle on your shoulders. The excitement you'd felt moments ago had been replaced by a sinking feeling of unease. "This was supposed to be a fun day," you thought to yourself, feeling a surge of frustration.
But as you looked at yourself in the mirror once more, you couldn't help but hope that maybe, just maybe, everything would work out in the end.

the kissing booth 💋
„Bestie, you love me right?“
You didn’t need to turn around and look at your best friend in order to know that she was batting her eyelashes and seducing you with her macaroon Bambi eyes.
„Nope“, you answered flatly.
„Y/N, what the fuck?“, she asked out in agony.
You turned around laughing, looking into her offended face.
„What do you want?“
She jumped up in excitement, eager to tell you her plans.
„Okay, so, I want to go to a kissing contest and I need you to come with me. Moral support and such…“, she confessed.
„A kissing contest?“, you asked bewildered.
„Yeah, it’s for Eun Woo’s new music video. He actually wants to cast a nobody and they need to check if there’s enough chemistry.“
„You’re telling me that you are getting in line with thousands of other girls in order to kiss Eun Woo? Are you out of it?“
„Y/N, nooo! You know how much I want to become an actress. This could be my stepping stone. Please! I can’t do this without you!“, she begged.
„What do you need me for? Carry your chapstick?“, you rolled your eyes.
„For once, yes. But I also need you to hype me up. You know how insecure I get with all the competition out there. Please. Please. Please?“
„Fine“, you huffed out. „But for the record, I don’t think you need this. You are so talented and someday someone important will stumble upon your talent. You hear me?“
„Yeah, yeah, yeah, thank you!“, she cried out in excitement.
A couple of days later you found yourself waiting in a big mall complex with thousands of other girls, eagerly waiting for their shot at - whatever they would call it.
The crowd was mixed - fangirls, vixens, influencers, shy girls, confident girls, wallflowers, girls that came for Eun Woo, girls that came for fame, girls that hoped this would be their breakthrough in the world of entertainment.
And amidst all of that were you.
Not giving a fuck about Eun Woo, or entertainment at that point.
„Ladies, welcome! Thank you so much for participating in this kissing booth. Eun Woo will be here shortly and then we can get going!“, a staff member called out.
„Can you imagine how dry his lips will be if he kisses all of us?“, your friend asked astounded.
„Oh please, as if he will kiss everyone in here. Is this your first time?“, a voice next to you answered. She was a beautiful girl - tall, thin, porcelain skin and natural make up. She looked like someone Eun Woo would kiss deliberately. „His manager will select a few, watch“, she further explained.
And just like she foretold Eun Woo’s manager appeared and selected a couple of girls.
„Shit, what if he doesn’t select me?“, your friend asked panicked.
„Of course he will select you. How could he not?“
You watched his manager make the rounds and choose the most beautiful girls, the ones that were made to be kissed by Eun Woo.
You felt your friend panicking more and more as the manager walked into your direction. Like a reflex, you took her hand into yours and squeezed it, signaling that everything will be alright.
„You“, he said as he looked at your best friend. Both of you sighed out in relief.
„And you“, he said as he looked at you.
„What, me?“, you asked confused.
„Oh my god, we are doing it together, y/n. So cool!“, your friend jumped up and down excitedly.
All of the chosen girls were ushered into a private section of the mall, waiting for Eun Woo to arrive. The girls’ faces were filled with excitement and hope, whereas yours was filled with confusion.
„Which number did you get?“, you asked.
„47“, she answered.
You looked down at your plate - 100.
„Am I the last?“, you mumbled under your breath.
Minutes after the guest of honor finally arrived - welcomed by chaotic screams of his many admirers.
„You know, he isn’t my type but he is so fucking handsome. Wow“, your friend remarked.
For the first time ever you took a good look at him. Your friend was right - he was a very handsome man. Tall, lean, a bit of muscles. Sharp gaze with sharp features, long full hair and a charismatic smile. You could easily see why every girl was falling for him. And yet, you were not convinced.
„Don’t you think he looks uncomfortable?“, you whispered.
„What? No way. He loves getting all the attention. Look at him.“
And you did. But no matter how hard you tried you couldn’t overlook the fact that his million dollar smile didn’t reach his eyes. To you, he looked uncomfortable.
„Okay, get in line please“, the staff advised you all.
Eun Woo sat down behind the counter, waiting for the girls to get ready.
You were watching this whole ordeal with mixed feelings. His body language was tense, his muscles looked stiff and you worried if this was really the right thing to do.
„Okay, wish me luck!“, your friend said before she went to kiss Eun Woo.
„You got this“, you mouthed at her, showing your support once again.
You were the last in line and after a couple of other girls it was finally your turn.
Eun Woo looked relieved as he realized that you were the last one.
„Hi“, he smiled at you warmly.
„Hi“, you said politely.
He leaned over and perked his lips but something inside of you begged you to stop this. So you did.
„Hey, uhm, is it okay with you if we just hug?“
His face fell, not understanding why you would refuse this once in a lifetime opportunity.
„You don’t want to kiss me?“, he asked, a pinch of sadness in his voice.
„No, I’d rather just hug“, you explained flatly.
Within seconds his face lit up again and he came in front of the booth, holding his arms out to you.
You smiled as you hugged him, wrapping your arms around his torso for a short moment of time.
He was soft and smelled amazing, so you were grateful for your risky choice.
„Okay, let’s go. We’ll have to choose the winner now“, the staff advised.
As you were ushered into the waiting room you were confused about your feelings.
You never really liked him, pretty boys were never your type, yet somehow you felt attracted to him.
You sat down and waited, overhearing the conversations of the others.
„I am telling you, when we kissed, it was like angels were singing. He is so into me, I just know it!“
„Our kiss was so passionate. I stuck my tongue down his throat! He was so surprised but so into it!“
„I love him. I just love him. How is he so beautiful? I need him in my life. I need him to be mine.“
„Pretty sure he will pick me. He looked at me like he wanted to rip off my clothes.“
„His lips were so soft. I want to kiss them again.“
Hearing all of this made you sick - they were treating him like an animal in a cage.
Did no one else notice how uncomfortable he looked doing this?
„This waiting is the worst“, your friend sighed as she sat down next to you.
„Yeah, it better be worth it“, you smacked her lightly.
Before you could playfully banter you were interrupted by the staff entering the room.
„Okay, everyone. Thank you for participating in this kissing contest. I hope you had a great time today.“
The girls cheered and applauded, eager to know who would kiss him again.
Shortly after, Eun Woo entered the room, smiling brightly.
„Hey girls“, he shyly greeted.
„I want to thank you for showing up today. I know this is a special occasion and you all did well. However, you know we can only have one winner…“, he mumbled.
You looked around, every girl was hanging on to his plush lips.
„And the winner is… number 100, y/n.“
The girls’ faces instantly fell, but they still applauded you on your victory.
„Oh my god, you won“, your friend cheered for you.
„Me?“, you asked in disbelief.
„Yes you“, she confirmed and pushed you to the front.
Eun Woo’s face lit up as he finally saw you, making you suddenly feel all kinds of things. He held his hand out to you and smiled warmly, inviting you take it and follow him.
„We are not shooting today, if you’re worried about that“, he explained as he looked into your concerned face.
„It’s not that…“, you admitted.
„Then what is?“
„I just don’t understand. I mean, why me?“
He looked at you intensely, his eyes boring into yours.
„I chose you because you were the only one that treated me like a human being.“
Your eyes widened in surprise as you heard him.
„I didn’t want to do this but my management forced me into it. I don’t know if you can imagine what that’s like but basically I am their slave. So, if they tell me to kiss hundred girls, I have to do just that. Some think I’m lucky, but I feel abused.“, he confessed honestly.
„I am so sorry, Eun Woo“, you answered truthfully.
„Thank you. But I guess that’s the price I have to pay… for all the fame and fortune.“
„Still, you shouldn’t be forced to kiss strangers like that…“
„You saw right through me, right?“, he asked curiously.
You hesitated to answer.
„That’s why you didn’t want to kiss me, right? Because you saw how uncomfortable I really was? That’s quite rare, y/n.“
„People rarely see you for you, right?“
He shook his head.
„No, it’s always Eun Woo, the star. Eun Woo, the actor. Eun Woo, the pretty face. But no one sees Eun Woo, the person. Well, no one but you.“
His eyes sparkled as he confessed all this to you.
Suddenly, a warm feeling spread through your whole body, making you painfully self-aware.
Is my lipstick smeared? Do I smell? Did I put on perfume? Is my make up okay?
„I’d like to take you out, y/n“, Eun Woo suddenly proposed.
„Me? Why?“, you asked dumbfounded.
The most heartfelt laugh escaped his lips, he definitely wasn’t used to this answer.
„Because I’d like to talk to you. Human to human, that is. What do you say?“

the one that got away...then came back
jungwon x f!reader ☆ first love ☆ childhood friends to lovers! ☆ wc. 1k ☆ warnings: none
Jungwon was your first love. At the tender age of 10 you weren’t completely sure what love really was, but to you, in your eyes and mind, it was Jungwon.
You and Jungwon met at the age of 3 and had become attached at the hip.
You never went anywhere without Jungwon, Jungwon never went anywhere without you.
Growing up together there was never a dull moment.
You know that you and Jungwon are meant to be together.
There was no one else for you.
In Jungwon’s eyes, you were it for him.
Everyone saw it. Hell even your own parents saw it.
You knew there’d come a time where you could call Jungwon yours. It may not be now, but someday.
For now, you’re content with the way things are.
Except for one thing. There’s one thing you’ve wanted for a while, and you were hoping to get it.
You and Jungwon sat underneath your favorite tree. You call it 'your' spot. You carved both of your initials into it.
“If I asked you to do something for me, would you do it?” You asked, playing with a dandelion.
“I would do anything for you.”
“Then close your eyes.”
Jungwon looks at you confused but does as you say.
Seeing nothing but darkness, he feels you come closer to him, your breath hitting his face.
Then he feels your lips connect with his.
It’s quick, only lasting for a couple seconds, but after you part his eyes open in shock.
“You’re blushing,” you giggle, going back to your dandelion as if nothing happened.
“You…you kissed me!” Jungwon squeaks, a hand coming up to feel his lips.
“That I did. You said you’d do anything for me, that’s what I wanted.”
“Why?”
“Because I wanted my first kiss to be with someone I love and trust.”
Jungwon can feel his cheeks heating up even more than they already were.
“Oh…okay. Well, I’m glad mine was you too.”
You don't speak about it after that. But you notice that Jungwon becomes increasingly clingy as the days pass.
You thought that Jungwon would be beside you always, until that day he came to your door, crying.
“What’s wrong?” You ask him, pulling him in for a hug.
“My parents just told me we’re moving.”
You’re confused. “Like.. moving houses?”
“More like moving across the country.”
“What? Why!” You feel your own eyes begin to water, and before you know it, fat tears are rolling down your cheeks.
“They said my dad got a new job opportunity. We leave in a week.”
“For how long?”
“I don’t know, but I don’t wanna leave you.”
You pull Jungwon closer, hugging him tighter.
“I don’t want you to leave either.”
“Promise me, you’ll always be mine?” He asks, putting out his pinky finger.
You link it with yours, twisting them, “I’ll always be yours, and you’ll always be mine.”
You and Jungwon spent your last week together at all your favorite places. The arcade, the park under your tree, the ice cream shop.
As he sits in the back seat of his parents car, you begin to cry as he does the same.
You wave goodbye, him following as the car departs.
You stand there for a while, crying, sniffling as your parents hug you.
That was 8 years ago.
The first year apart, you guys kept in touch. Facetiming and texting everyday.
But that started dissipating to once a month.
Before you knew it, you and Jungwon had stopped talking completely.
You made other friends, people you’d call your ride or die, but Jungwon still lingered in the back of your mind. You wondered if you lingered in his.
Here you are, 18 years old starting college, still thinking about your childhood love.
You’re anxious walking on campus. Your friend Hanni beside you is the only thing keeping you somewhat calm.
“Be excited! We’re finally starting college, we get to go to parties and have wild times.”
You chuckle, “The only wild times I’ll be having is in my dorm.”
Hanni pouts, “Come on, you should let loose, have fun while you can! Maybe find someone along the way.”
The thought of having someone has crossed your mind before, but it’s never been a priority for you.
“Don’t tell me you’re still hung up on that Jungwon guy.”
“I’m not hung up! And he’s not just some guy, he’s someone very important to me.”
“Even now?” Hanni asks, looking at you solemnly.
“Even now,” you confirm.
You and Hanni find a seat on a bench, going over your class schedules.
Thankfully you have 2 classes together, so you won’t be alone.
Hanni is looking around at other people in the courtyard when she gasps.
“Cute guy at 4 o'clock.”
You look and see a group of guys, hanging out at one table.
“Which one?”
Hanni points to one wearing a gray hoodie with loose, acid washed jeans.
You recognize that face, and before Hanni can stop you, you’re getting up and walking in that direction.
She calls out your name but you don’t hear her, focused on what’s in front of you.
In seconds, you’re behind the gray hoodie guy and his friends are all looking at you, confused.
You feel tears start to form, “l never thought I’d see you again.”
You see his form freeze before quickly turning to face you.
“Y/N…”
Before you know it, you’re being crushed in a tight hug.
You wrap your arms around Jungwon, squeezing him just as tight.
You stay like that for what feels like hours, but was in fact only a few minutes.
“Look at you,” Jungwon says, standing back to look you up and down, “My pretty girl. You don’t know how much I’ve missed you.”
“Not as much as I’ve missed you.”
Jungwon cups your face, “Just let me look at you.”
You blush profusely, “Jungwon, stop.”
“What? I can’t look at you? I can’t admire how beautiful you are?”
“I guess you can, if you let me admire how handsome you are.”
Now it’s his turn to blush.
“Can you do something for me?” He asks.
“Anything.”
“Close your eyes.”
You do and soon feel his lips meeting yours.
It’s soft and slow.
You can faintly hear his friends whistling and clapping in the background.
When you separate, you’re both blushing up to your ears.
“You kissed me,” you say quietly, looking down at your shoes to avoid meeting his eyes.
“It was only right. I’d like to make up for lost time.”
“I’d like that too.”

A classic tale of fucking your ex at your friends wedding. We’ve all been there, I think.

Warnings: 18+ pls, minors will be blocked! Not proofread which is defo a warning, lmk if you spot anything ive missed. Smut. Oral f!recieving and protected pinv. Alcohol and drugs are mentioned slightly.
Little authors note sorry: Hey everyone i am actually alive lol. 5 months later i return writing for someone new… not out of character for me. I watched succession for the first time recently (late asf to the party i know) and i read some amazing stewy fics so i thought i’d add my piece because i’m obsessed with him. Sorry to all my tommy miller babes on here, i swear i tried writing for him again but my inspiration for tommy fics seems to have gotten lost. I really struggled when i tried finishing my half way done tommy series lol. But when i started writing this one it just floooowed and i finished it in like a few hours. Maybe my tommy love will come back someday but for now…. This. Hope someone out there enjoys lol <3
You’ve felt eyes on you all night. Everywhere you go you end up meeting his eyes across the room. Eveytime you look over at him, he’s already looking. He should be the one that's embarrassed, you’ve caught him looking at you multiple times, but you’re always the one who ends up looking away first and feeling your skin heat with the embarrassment of being caught. While he shamelessly stares at you over the rim of his glass, that awful fucking smirk gracing his lips and he watches you squirm. Honestly, it’s kinda creepy. And you almost hope he approaches you so you can tell him that.
Towards the end of the night he starts to close in, starts inching closer to you. He starts making conversation with the people around you, people at the bar next to you, and eventually your friends. Asking them how they are, how it’s been such a long time. Then, he finally gets to you. He takes his time looking you over before he speaks and you’re determined not to be the first one to talk, so you let him stare. Both of you standing in silence for a few seconds before he finally speaks.
“You look great.”
”Thanks.” Keeping it simple seems safe. You want to tell him he looks good too because fuck, he does. He always does. He notices your eyes drifting over his suit and tie and he chuckles.
“What are you doing?” You ask.
“Uhm,” He trails off - pretends to think. “I’m at a fucking wedding, and i’m enjoying myself.”
”Yeah?” You ask, he nods in agreement. The way his eyebrows raise tells you he’s still being sarcastic, still mocking you. “Watching my every move all night is how you enjoy yourself?”
“Actually, yes.” He confirms. “Watching you squirm all night was pretty fun.”
”I wasn’t.” You attempt to defend yourself, downing your drink. “I was just-“
“I’ll get you another.” He cuts you off, snatching your glass out of your hand - not even bothering to ask. You almost try to protest, but you don’t see the point. You know him too well, you know how stubborn he is, once he gets an idea it’s hard for him to let it go. If the idea he’s got tonight is paying for your drinks, then so be it - who were you to complain. You sit down on the stool next to you, watching as Stewy makes the bartender laugh as he orders your drinks. You're kind of pissed that you still can’t figure him out sometimes, you know him better than most people - maybe better than anyone, but he still confuses you. It has been a while since you last saw him, but you conclude that he hasn’t changed much.
When he comes back with your drinks he puts yours down in front of you and asks: “Still your favorite?”
You nod, kind of pissed that he got it right. You try to convince yourself that he didn’t actually remember that small detail. That he’s just been watching you order them all night during your staring competition.
“So, how’s your family?” You ask, cringing at how lame you sound. You just don’t want to let him start a conversation you don’t want to have.
He smiles, because he knows what you're doing. “They’re fine. I still don’t see them much, but they’re good.”
”You’re still too busy to see your family?” You joke.
“Mhm,” His smile almost looks genuine as you joke with each other. “I’m always busy.”
“Busy stealing people's money?”
He laughs then, a genuine laugh that makes you laugh as well. God, you don’t want to admit that you missed him. But everyone else just seems so boring after him, you’ve never found the same thing you’d had with him with anyone else.
“You never really understood business did you?” He laughs.
“I understand perfectly.”
“Sure,” He agrees. “I explained it to you enough times.”
“Yeah, and bored me to death.”
”Is that why you broke up with me?”
His question completely catches you off guard and you almost choke on your drink. You almost want to ask him if he purposefully said that while you were taking a sip, but you’re too busy trying to supress your coughing.
“Jesus, it was just a question.” Stewy laughs at you again, his warm hand coming to rest on your back as he watches you almost choke.
“Fuck you.” You say pointedly, after getting yourself back under control. ”You know why we broke up. Also, I broke up with you?”
”You did.”
“Stewy, it was amicable.”
“Was it?” His face goes serious again and you instantly miss the sound of his laugh. You just sigh, taking another sip of your drink. This was exactly the conversation you didn’t want to have.
“I thought you said you were enjoying yourself,” You say after a few moments of silence. “Don’t ruin it now.”
”I lied.” He says. “I always hated those two, I can't believe they actually got married.”
”Match made in hell.” You agree, both of you laugh softly again.
“You know I also lied earlier when I said you looked great.” He says, surprising you. You brace yourself for whatever joke he’s going to make about you, you shouldn't have pissed him off, he can get mean when he’s pissed off. It’s not his fault, it’s just his defense mechanism - but nevertheless you brace yourself for his comment - and he surprises you again by saying: “You look fucking incredible.”
You open your mouth to speak, but no words come out. You opt for another sip of your drink instead and he watches you in amusement.
“I only came because I hoped you would be here,” He continued. You still can’t tell if he’s being serious or not, that damned smirk on his face makes you think he’s making fun of you, but those big brown eyes look so sincere.
“Stewy, stop.” You sigh.
“Come on, baby.” He murmurs, he leans forward in his chair and places his hand on your knee. The nickname makes you tense up. Makes a familiar heat spread through you. “Let me get you another drink and take you up to my room.”
Fuck. He’s fucking good at this, and he knows it. He knows exactly how to get you. You’re trying to think, but the alcohol and the way his thumb is rubbing your knee is clouding your mind. He waits patiently, watching as you look down at his hand and back up to his face. Your eyes stop at his lips before meeting his gaze.
“Alright,” You say, you swear you can actually see his eyes light up. “Go get me another drink and show me your room. Then I'll decide.”
“You got it.” He grins and practically jumps out of his seat. When he returns he holds out his hand to help you off your stool, the heels you decided to wear and the drinks weren’t a good match. He hands you your drink, although you don’t really want it now. His hand finds its place on the small of your back and a fire lights up somewhere inside of you. His touch feels so familiar - comforting. He leads you out of the bar and to the elevators. Punching in the right number before the doors close, leaving you both alone in the small space. It suddenly feels too quiet.
You want to touch him, but once again you don’t want to be the one to make the first move. You don't want him to know how desperate you are for him, although you think he already knows. He’s watching you in silence, his eyes dark and wanting. A look you’ve seen a million times before - a look that makes you excited. The elevator ride is short, Stewy isn’t the type to kiss you in an elevator, and you know that, so you’re not disappointed when the doors open and he hasn’t touched you or said a word.
He gestures for you to leave first, putting his hand on the door so they don’t close on you, or him. Some people would find this strange, the silence, but it’s a game you’ve both played with each other before. A game you both enjoy. He guides you to his room with a hand on your back, just like before. When he unlocks the door and opens it for you, you suppress a gasp. As usual, Stewy needs to have the best of the best. The bride and groom's room probably isn’t even this nice. They probably couldn’t afford it - Stewy can.
“Well?” His voice sounds from behind you.
“Hm?”
”What do you think? You said you would decide when you saw the room. Is it good enough for you?”
”Uhm,” You pretend to think as you set your drink down on the dresser, turning around to dramatically inspect the room. It earns a playful eye roll from Stewy. He knows what impresses you and he knows he already has you. He already had you down at the bar.
“I think it’s okay.” You conclude, turning to face him. He hums in sarcastic agreement, looking you up and down. He’s playing the game again, who is going to end it first. Who is going to lose. You don’t like losing, and neither does he. But honestly, haven’t you already lost? He has you in his room for christ sake. He has you standing in front of him, already dripping and all he’s done is touch your leg a little and look at you the right way. So you put aside your pride and step towards him, you bring your hands up to his cheeks and roughly bring his face down to your, finally connecting your lips.
His hands immediately find their home at your hips, pulling you tightly against him. The kiss immediately turns from an innocent kiss to a hungry and passionate one, his tongue dominating your mouth. You both know each other's bodies so well, there's no need for taking it slow or asking questions.
“Fuck, Stewy.” You sigh as he backs you towards the bed, gently setting you down and climbing over you. Kissing every inch of your skin.
“God, I missed that.” He groans, marveling over the way you sigh his name. “I missed you, baby. I can admit it. I want you so badly.”
You moan softly at his words, at the way his lips feel on your neck - at how right this feels. You had missed him too. He catches you off guard when he pulls away to ask, ”Have you been fucking other people?”
“Sorry?” You giggle, “Why are you asking me that now?”
”Have you?” He presses.
“I ju- maybe.” You stutter, already missing his lips.
”Maybe?”
”I know you’ve been fucking as well.” You accuse, suddenly defensive. You push yourself up onto your elbows, despite still being trapped underneath him.
“Yeah, I have.” He says coolly.
“So?” You ask, irritated. Why was he doing this?
“So, none of them were as good as you.” His words earn an eye roll from you. “Nothing can compare to this pussy.” He adds, his hand sliding down to roughly grip your thigh and bring it over his waist. Oh, shit. His half hard cock is pressing perfectly against your pussy in this new position, the material of your dress and his suit pants keeping you apart. “And, i bet none of those guys fucked you the way i do.” One of his hands comes up to grip your chin, his other keeping him above you. He forces you to look him in the eyes as he asks, “Did they?”
“No.” You practically squeak. “None of them were like you. No one is like you, Stewy.”
You’re not even lying, after having sex with Stewy for so long nothing compared. You had gotten accustomed to a man who knew what he was doing, to a man who was generous in bed. You had gotten used to a man who could make you cum. No one had achieved that after him. Your answer obviously pleases him, he grins and leans down to kiss you again.
He ends the kiss and stands up leaving you spread out on the bed, you whine underneath him, chasing for more. He ignores you and slips off his suit jacket. He makes a show of undoing the top button of his shirt and loosening his sleeves in order to push them up to his elbows. Fuck, he looks so good. You almost want to tell him, but you don;t need to. He can see the way you're watching him, that look in your eye. He knows what you look like when you’re turned on - and this is it. He grabs your thighs and pushes your dress up to your waist, getting a good look before sliding your panties down your legs, throwing them over his shoulder somewhere.
“I’m gonna fuck you like you deserve, baby. I know what you need. I can’t wait to taste you.” He rambles as you whimper in anticipation, he presses a kiss to your ankle as he watches you buck your hips.
He has his mouth on you before you can respond. Just as you remember, he is painfully and infuriatingly good at it. He still eats pussy like it's his second nature. He still looks up at you through his gorgeous lashes as he traces your clit with his tongue. He has to hold back from grinning against you as you writhe and whimper. He groans as you sigh his name and run your hand through his hair. You remember how much you love it when he’s like this, when he's animalistic and loses his composure.
Your legs tighten around his head as he digs his fingers into the flesh of your thighs. It’s fucking embarassing how quickly you barrel towards your climax, but it has been a while. And no one else devours you like this, no one else is this good. You should have expected it. He recognizes it immediately, breaking away from you for a second to speak.
“Are you gonna come for me, baby?”
“Yes! Please, Stew.” You moan, your hands grabbing at his hair attempting to push him back down. He smiles wickedly, licking his lips as he watches you.
“God, I love it when you beg for me.” He mumbles before diving back in, allowing you to push his head down and maneuver him.
"Please make me come," you groan, arching your back. “I'm so close, don’t stop.”
And he doesn’t stop, he continues to lap at you and work you though your orgasm as you come against his mouth. His beard delightfully scratches your sensitive skin, leaving behind a delicious burning feeling. He’s painfully hard now, after watching you come and hearing you moan his name. You begin to push at his head when you come down, usually he would tease you a little now, knowing how sensitive you are and make the most of it. But he’s so fucking desprate for you, he has been all night. He’s been dreaming about being inside of you for hours now.
He’s instantly on his feet, undoing his belt and undressing. You follow suit, weakly sitting up - doing the best your legs can do when they feel like jelly, you lift your dress over your head and throw it on the floor with his clothes. He’s climbing back on top of you, kissing you hungrily. His lips and chin are still wet with your juices and you moan into his mouth as you taste yourself on his lips.
“How do you want me?” You ask breathlessly, fully prepared to submit to him- to do whatever he asks.
“Fuck,” He groans at your words, having to pause for a second. “Can you turn over for me?”
You smile, leaning up to kiss him one more time before turning over and crawling to the middle of the bed, pushing yourself up onto your knees and holding yourself up on your elbows, so your back is deliciously arched the way you know he likes. You grin as you hear him groan behind you, his hand petting your ass before he delivers a light slap to it. He steps away from you and you hear the rustling of a condom wrapper, did he have that in his fucking pocket? His words from earlier repeat in your head, ‘I only came because I hoped you would be here.’
“Plese fuck me, Stewy.” You moan softly, knowing exactly what he wants to hear. “I need you.”
”How bad?” He teases. The head of his cock is ever so slightly pressing against your entrance, he’s hardly holding back as he waits for your answer, pushing in slightly.
“So bad,” You sigh, pushing back on him so he slips easily inside of you. You both moan loudly, you love that he’s so loud and shameless in bed. He stays still once he’s bottomed out.
“Yeah?” He says through gritted teeth.
“Yes! Please move. I need to be fucked properly, only you can do it.”
The sound he makes behind you is heavenly, you knew that would work. He pulls out of you before pushing back in slowly. He always does this, he starts slow and then builds up to a bruising pace. All you can do is whimper beneath him and beg for him to fuck you faster. Your pussy sucks him in greedily, his cock pushing against that spongy spot inside of you with every thrust.
“You take me so fucking well. Like you were fucking made for me.” His voice is deep and raw.
”I think I am,” You moan. “You feel so fucking good!”
“Are you gonna come for me again, sweetheart? Gonna soak my cock?”
All you can do is furiously nod your head and moan beneath him, the sounds of your pussy squelching as he fucks you is almost embarassing. You don’t have time to think about it because he’s pulling out of you and gently flipping you over onto your back. He lifts your legs and rests his knees on the bed, throwing your feet over his shoulders and he leans over you. He guides his cock back into you and dives down to kiss you, his tongue pushing past your lips in a messy kiss. You’re both moaning into each other's mouths, not minding when your teeth momentarily clack together.
“Come on gorgeous,” He groans, he’s breathless - pressing kisses to your face between his words. You can tell he’s close too. “Come for me. Squeeze my cock. Let me fucking have it.”
He feels you tighten around him as you come, his name leaving your lips like a fucking prayer. Your hands tightening around his neck, nails digging into his skin.
“Fuck, that’s it. You look so beautiful, baby.” He talks you through it, still fucking you as you come around him.
“Oh my god,” You moan. “Come inside of me, Stewy.”
You know he’s wearing a condom, but the dirty talk is hot. He thinks so too, because that's all it takes for him to come. His head is buried in your neck, his teeth biting into the soft skin under your ear. No doubt leaving a mark, but you’ll worry about that tomorrow. Right now all you can think about is how hot he sounds when he comes, you love that he isn’t quiet, that he isn’t afraid to groan your name into your neck.
He stays still for a second, lifting his head and kissing you - gently this time, before he pulls out. You rest for a minute while he discards the condom. You hear rustling and sniffing while he’s in the bathroom and you almost want to yell out to him - this is why we broke up. But you ignore it, getting up from the bed and breezing past him as he leaves the bathroom. You close the door behind you, taking the hotel robe off the back of the door and cleaning yourself up, doing what you need to do. You wonder if you should shower, but decide you should probably go back to your own room to do that.
When you leave the bathroom he’s sitting in the bed under the covers, the tv remote in his hand. Your dress and underwear have been picked up and folded on the chair beside the bed. It makes you smile, how can someone be so thoughtful but so selfish at the same time. That’s why you broke up, you need to keep reminding yourself.
“So, I guess I'm gonna go back to my own room.” You say as you gather your things. You’re on your way back to the bathroom with your clothes when he speaks up.
“Okay,” He says, respecting your decision. “Why?”
”Why?” You repeat, stopping your tracks. “Don’t you want me to go?”
”No. I want you to watch tv with me.”
”Seriously?” You laugh before you realize he’s being serious.
“Yeah, seriously.” His face is impassive, and hard to read. But you can’t resist those big brown eyes and you drop your clothes back onto the floor and slip into bed with him.
“Hey,” He whines as he looks at your dress. “I picked that up and folded it for you and you just threw it on the floor again.”
“Sorry, how rude of me.” You laugh at the mock pout on his face. You’ve sat pretty far away from him and he eyes the space between you.
“Come here.” He says lifting up his arm so you can cuddle into his side. God, you shouldn’t be doing this, you should have left. But he smells good and this bed is so comfortable.
“Will you stay the night here?” He asks quietly
”I shouldn’t.” You sigh.
“I know.” He agrees.
Of course you end up staying the night, Stewy is very convincing. With his promise of round two and a warm shower in the morning, it’s hard to resist. He also promises an expensive breakfast after the shower, but he says, ‘only if you behave yourself.’ You spend the whole night talking and laughing with him. Not only is he the best fuck you’ve ever had, he’s also the funniest person on earth. He’s got the kindest eyes you’ve ever seen but he’s also the biggest assole you’ve ever met. He’s so confusing, but that night you decide that maybe taking a little more time to try and figure him out won’t be so bad - only time will tell.

Can u do jealous law 🥹?
hiya papaya!! absolutely ㅡ I hope that this is to your liking!!
Law's beginning to regret letting you convince him to leave the Polar Tang. You'd been insistent that it was good for him to relax every now and then, to enjoy the smaller, simpler things in life ㅡ and then you'd thrown in those damn puppy eyes.
Sometimes he wonders about having you handle negotiations when needed for how sweetly you're able to manipulate him ㅡ but then again, it may be that it's him in particular who's susceptible to you. (It is, and everyone but you knows it.)
Case in point, he's not sure there's anyone else that he'd willingly go into a café like this with, the store front window displaying an array of various baked goods and smelling of sugar and coffee. But he'd been unable to say no to you, determined not to sour that smile of yours.
(Trafalgar Law is as whipped for you as a man like him can be, no doubt about it.)
"This place is so cute," you remark, studying the menu before you. Cut of thick paper, there are heart-shaped holes punched out at the corners ㅡ befitting of the almost story-book quality of the café. "What are you going to get, Law?"
"Not sure yet," he answers, "have you decided?" You shake your head, and Law finds himself watching you rather than examining the menu again, the slight knit of your brow as you weigh your options. For a fleeting moment, he lets himself imagine that someday, the two of you can do things like this freely and without worry.
He wants that kind of future more than anything ㅡ one of peace and absolute safety. It's the kind of future that you deserve, and he'll do what he has to in order to ensure it, whether he's involved in the end or not.
"Excuse me." The both of you look up and over at the arrival of a waitress, blinking in surprise as she sets down a cup in front of you. Steam rising off of it, there's the scent of chocolate ㅡ hot cocoa, complete with the soft swell of a marshmallow bear atop it.
"I didn't order this," you say, confused as the waitress smiles.
"It's compliments of the gentleman over there," she says, and you look where she points, finding a well-dressed man a couple tables over, watching expectantly and smiling when he notices you looking.
Perhaps it's because you've spent so long being appropriately wary of anything and everything, but there's hesitation in the way you study the drink.
"It is cute," you admit as you prod at the tip of the bear's muzzle with a fingertip, "but..."
"Don't drink it." Law's voice is low and sharp, and he stares at the man, trying to figure out if he recognizes him or not. Acts of kindness are not uncommon, he knows that ㅡ but it bothers him in more ways than one. He knows that he isn't overtly obvious in his feelings towards you, that your relationship remains mostly unknown to anyone besides your crewmates ㅡ but he would've thought the implication of being in a relationship to be clear, even here.
Either oblivious to the daggers Law is mentally aiming his way or simply unbothered, the stranger seems hardly deterred by the way you haven't touched the hot chocolate, because the waitress returns, this time with a pudding carefully shaped like a rabbit.
"This is getting a little uncomfortable," you remark, tapping at the creature with the spoon and watching it jiggle. "Do we know him or...?"
"No," Law answers, "we don't." There's an edge to his tone now, thinly veiled irritation blazing in his eyes. He usually prides himself on having a decent handle on his temper, but he's never wanted to use shambles on someone so badly before.
"Maybe we should go," you say, watching the irritated drum of his fingers on the table and knowing that he's reaching his breaking point. Law doesn't say a word as he gets up to follow you, the marshmallow bear half-way to a melted mess and the pudding untouched. Once the two of you are a fair distance away, you sigh. "That marshmallow bear was cute. Kind of looked like Bepo."
Law grunts in answer, and you glance over to find him staring ahead, jaw taut. Stepping closer, you reach for his hand and slot your fingers between his. "You're cute when you're jealous, you know."
Law stiffens. "I was not jealous. It was just suspicious." You can hear it though, the unspoken sulk to his tone that makes you squeeze his hand and come to a halt, reaching to snag your free hand into his coat when he turns towards you, tugging him down.
The press of your lips to his startles him, belated as he kisses back before you pull away just enough that your lips barely graze his as you speak. "You don't have anything to worry about, you dummy. I'm yours, from now until the end."
It never fails to make his heart constrict, the ease with which you say such things, the conviction in your tone ㅡ that yes, someone like him deserves someone like you.
He doesn't know how to put into words that he feels the same way, that there's nowhere you can go that he wouldn't try to follow, hopelessly as devoted as he is to you.
There are no words he can find to say how much he loves you, but your smile and way you look at him says that you know.
(And if he decides to kiss you, over and over until his jaw aches, well. That's between you and him.)

Translation of part of the story from the bravern bd novel
I've only translated the part at the end about bravern. I might go back and translate the other parts later but right now I'm in Japan on a study abroad I don't have much time.
Spoilers for most of Bravern!
Translation:
In the beginning he said, "let there be light(Isami)"
I was him and he was me. In the end, we became one and the same.
It's because Isami was there that this was able to happen. It's because Isami was there that the world was able to be saved. This is something I wrote in the instant while my life was flashing before my eyes when the death drive of wrath, Ira, hit me with a surprise attack and I began to lose consciousness.
I'm already not sure whether it was me or him that wrote it. However, our feelings towards Isami were one and the same.
That's why I(Bravern)...... I(Smith)...... wrote this for Isami.
I'll make you explode with bravery
Written by: Bravern, who has gone to the stars
When I first met you, you were crying, weren't you?
But because you're a strong person, even though you were confused, you still responded to my request.
When you shouted the name of the special attack...... it was because of your shout that I was able to fight.
And then when you asked "what's your name?" I answered.
I said, "My name is Bravern".......
The next time we met, you were scared.
Of course you were. I made you suspicious, was pestering you, and on top of that I was telling you to fight.
I don't think you could have ridden me even if you wanted to.
The way you kept me in suspense at that time was really charming.
But even still, you rode me once again.
And it's because of that I became sure.
I said, "Oh, Isami. You're my true soulmate"
After that, you stayed inside me all the time.
I thought I was so lucky.
But you were just brooding, weren't you.
You were shocked when you heard me say soulmate, weren't you? At that time I didn't try to understand your feelings at all.
But, but, you know, Isami,
I'm sure you will understand someday. How wonderful fighting together with our burning souls is.
Isami, seeing you get angry and showing your emotions so openly is beautiful, but there's no need to be angry.
Lulu will become a friend who fights with us.
Right now she might only be looking at him, but she'll see your appeal before long Isami.
Just as I was drawn to you, she'll be drawn to you as well. Though, it's understandable that you don't know that now.
So rage, rage. Show your emotions. There's no reason to keep your emotions all to yourself.
You've tried so hard, Isami. You've really freed your mind.
He, and everyone, are really pulling out your emotions.
I only played a small part in making that happen.
When you dove into the sea I was really surprised, but that sea breeze after you came to an understanding with everyone really felt good didn't it?
The large ship we were on board was heading toward the land of the rising sun at battle velocity.
Saving you was honestly really difficult.
There is a poem written by Shiki Masaoka as a gift to his friend headed into the navy.
"Even in war, don't shy away from anything. On your voyage, when the wind blows, blow, when the waves rise, rise."
――――Do your best, Isami
Isami, at that time I was really moved.
I was going into battle with you and him to save the land of the rising sun ―― there's nothing better than this.
The calls from your friends―― your fellow countrymen, were able to reach them.
Due to our brave actions, the uprising was a success.
The sunrise we watched with everyone at that time was beautiful.
And isn't it so―― so great, Isami?
Your comrades, who had the same feelings as you, were still alive.
You'll definitely be able to free the world. And just as you have been wishing, we won't let anyone else die.
Hoping for things is easy. Actually making them happen is difficult.
And you made it happen. It probably would have been impossible on your own. It was something you were able to do with him and your comrades at your back. You're amazing, Isami.
Also, thank you for caring about our new friend superbia.
Starting now, we're traveling thousands of miles to free the world.
Before that, you have to say a very painful farewell, but...... I'm sure you'll be able to overcome it.
Finally, the time had come.
At that time, just as you were fighting with your full strength, I was fighting at mine.
I couldn't make plans for it or prevent it.
If I had done that, I could probably have saved a life. But you know, Isami, I just couldn't do that.
If I did, I might not have been able to meet you. And we wouldn't have had the chance to save the world.
I hope you'll be able to understand that.
That he(smith) had to leave your side, while expressing such strong emotions at that time.
Isami——.
Isami——.
No matter how many times I shouted your name, it wouldn't reach you.
Honestly, at this time I was struck by a sense of unease.
The world beyond this point is a world I don't know. We have to go into it together. So please―― Isami. Hear my voice.
And then, you responded with bravery.
An explosion of bravery―― that's right, an explosion of bravery.
Just as he said at that time, his explosion of bravery was the one and only way to create a path forward for you and me.
Let's go, Isami. His bravery, his explosive feelings, will always be with us.
That's what brave explosion bang bravern is.
Isami, at that time, you were already a hero.
But there was something you didn't do quite right. Something that even I didn't realize. And then Lulu corrected you.
Perhaps his dying words resonated with her too.
That's right, you have to come back alive too.
Let's go, Isami. To the final battle.
Alongside sperbia and lulu――
Isami.
Since you're a strong person, I'm sure you'll be able to do well without me.
You're not just strong, you're also brave.
Sperbia and lulu will be with you. I'm sure you'll be able to save the world.
I'm sad I won't be able to go along with you, but please don't get depressed and move forward somehow.
Isami――Isami――...... I love you, Isami.
When I woke up, Isami―― you were glowing gold.
I thought I'd never see you again. But I was able to see you again.
Bravery fusion————
That was what you got on the other side of your explosion of bravery.
You became me. And I became you. And he (smith) also......
And the lulu (I can't believe she was a soldier from the future!), also fused with superbia and became our sword.
This is yours and his——our true form, bang brave big bang.
This is where my job comes to an end, but if you or him, or everyone else needs me, I'm sure I'll be able to come back. Surely. Surely——。
Let your bravery burn. That, that is what—— the explosion of bravery is——......
New York times square, EST 10:40 PM
In the city that had been rebuilt after the death drives had been defeated, screams of people and the sound of guns are once again ringing through the city.
At that moment, a light lit up the night sky.
And then he appeared.
There was a giant robot with emerald eyes and a red and white mechanical body with gold horns on top——
it was Bravern who had saved the world along with the ATF——.
