Shigeo

hotness level: get away from me | meh | neutral | theoretically hot but not my type | pretty hot | gorgeous! | 10/10 would bang [Honestly, I feel a bit weird over commenting on the looks of my OCs ahdhd but, I gotta admit Shigeo is much of my type...but I mean, apparently I’m not alone on that? dshdfjFGJ So many have complimented Shigeo’s appearance now and I’m screaming. Y’all are making his ego grow.]

best quality: I said it once already, but I would actually say his loyalty is his best quality. Now, the number of people that Shigeo is loyal to is extremely slim but...well, it is a very strong loyalty. It’s just, again, it’s only few who earn that loyalty.

worst quality: lol. I could name numerous things in that regard. But as I also said once already, I guess his most fatal flaw is that he swallows up his fears, his trauma and a lot of other things in himself and never works through it.

ship them with: ShigeChi >; Chieko had multiple ship-options at a certain point, but Shigeo’s only ship options always Chieko and welp ahdh The moment I started fleshing Shigeo out more, their dynamic grew more and more onto me and she also sneaked her way into his character-arc so.

brotp them with: There’s Moe & Kiyoko, who are really close friends of his and I really love their relationships. But I also gotta bring up Suzume here. Suzume’s and Shigeo’s relationship makes me so happy, despite it not being exactly friendly ahdhd. It’s a lot of fun to think of their banter and interactions to me. Also well, Umino & Yamada deserve their mention as well, so here they go ahdh.

needs to stay away from: Ai Kabutoyama. Pls, don’t ship them.

misc. thoughts: If “Shokugeki no Kimiko” was animated and had it’s own soundtrack, Shigeo deserves to be having a jazzy theme for himself.

Erina

hogwarts house: gryffindor | slytherin | ravenclaw | hufflepuff

best quality: I really love how much of a Boss Bitch Erina really is, she steps into a place and she owns it and she knows it. But at the same time, her social awkwardness and also obvious care for Hisako, the PSD later on etc. also make her a cutie at the same time.

worst quality: This is really more on Tsukuda’s part, but I do not like how she’s written in BLUE Arc at all, and how she honestly keeps pushing Soma away while he goes out of his way for her multiple times...

ship them with: Soma is my favorite choice for her

brotp them with: Hisako !!

needs to stay away from: HER DAD. AND ASAHI. AND HER MOM MAYBE- IDK, give her a better family.

misc. thoughts: Takumi said in his match against her that if she’d be on the Elite Council “She’d be the zero seat”. And honestly, I kinda found myself wishing for Tsukuda just having run with that instead. Just establish a new seat extra for Erina because she’s that good. It still sounds kinda dumb yes, but not as dumb as making her actual headmistress. With 16. What also bothers me about her being headmistress is that it’s a very busy job, I’d imagine....Let Erina be a normal teen, could you? She was already robbed off a childhood, geez.

Eizan

best quality: Eizan is SO entertaining to me, you all have no idea. He’s so god-damn funny at times and I’m just ahdhd I love him. Meep, he’s intelligent and tactical and I like that in characters? I wish, we could have seen more of him being smart instead of having him being blinded more and more by rage and vengeance ;v;

worst quality: Lmao, do you want a list? His obsession for money? His unscrupulousness? His disregard of fucking...decency?? ahdh I could go on.

ship them with: //takes out megaphone// nENE KINOKUNI, LADIES AND GENTS. In my eyes, he legit seems to hold some sort-off respect for her and I hold the headcanon that Eizan is actually crushing on her a little ver since middle school. Come on, I do think it’s plausible that he’d find himself attracted to a person like Nene: She’s smart, she’s no pushover, she murders people with just a glance, her hair is green. One of the meanings attributed to the color green is actually...finances, profit, banks, moNEY-

brotp them with: The few interactions Eizan had with Somei legit cracked me up so...hdhd yeah, Somei. But also...Momo, being real. And of course, Isshiki & Kuga. Can’t forget them.

needs to stay away from: PSD, lol. I’d say Azami, but honestly Eizan seems to handle Azami fine? Azami just shows up at his work and is like: “What u doing owo?” and Eizan replies with “Are you bored or something????” like ahdhd WOW

misc. thoughts: Honestly...Is it plausible to assume that Eizan and Nene actually had a Shokugeki?...A Shokugeki which he won? I mean, somehow he had to earn that seat above her’s......right? (Would have been nice, if Tsukuda could have explained the new Elite 10 Ranking or show what got them there but nOPE)

Chieko

hogwarts house: gryffindor | slytherin | ravenclaw | hufflepuff

best quality: I do love Chieko for how feisty she can be. The girl will mouth off multiple times to one of the most dangerous people at her school and I think it’s neat.

worst quality: She does take longer to make her moves at times though, sometimes she’s just too careful and overthinking instead of stepping into battle.

ship them with: Shigeo Eizan. Both of them succeed mainly through intellect, booth in cooking and other areas of life. It’s kind off natural, that they’d get eventually interested in each other.

brotp them with: Yasu, Hideyoshi & Daisuke mainly, but the rest of PSD as well.

needs to stay away from: Shigeo, according to Yasu. I don’t know as of right now honestly ahdh

misc. thoughts: Funfact, but her wearing a hairband once she’s a 2nd Year is kinda inspired by Disney’s Cinderella haha

Kimiko

hogwarts house: gryffindor | slytherin | ravenclaw | hufflepuff

best quality: Kimiko is brave and also most definitely an actor!! And as someone, who’s neither of those, I always admire these qualities ahdh.

worst quality: Kimiko pretends that she can’t feel feelings like sadness for a good chunk of the story. She plasters a wide smile on her face, even if she’s really not okay and that’s not a good thing...I’m saying this from very strong personal experience.

ship them with: Hiroshi! It was a thing for me from the beginning on!

brotp them with: Mika and later on Kaori, mainly.

needs to stay away from: her brother, okay no ahdhd but well, the nasty part of her family she does not know too well to begin with I’d say

misc. thoughts: I’d LOVE to draw Kimiko more, you gotta believe me on that but her hair is super exhausting to draw ahdhd I love your twin tails Kimi, but they’re suffering.

Hayama

hogwarts house: gryffindor | slytherin(?) | ravenclaw | hufflepuff [I can also picture him win Ravenclaw]

best quality: I kind off love how he’s the straight man in every group of friends he’s in? Someone give the poor man a break ahdhd. But I also really love how determined and ambitious he is, it’s inspiring to see (Which is why I kind off hate, that his shown that he refused to go to BLUE, because he didn’t feel strong enough? Idk, I feel the Akira I met in the Autumn Election wouldn’t have passed out on such a chance)

worst quality: not.....Not a big fan of the Central!Hayama/Soma-Shokugeki being real. I did not really enjoy his performance during that ; 7 ; But that’s just how I personally feel ;v; I don’t really dislike the idea of him joining Central, I just think it could have been done better

ship them with: Hisako!

brotp them with: Alice and Ryo of course 😤!!

needs to stay away from: Azami, haha. (Also...Not into shipping him romantically with Jun. At all. It does kinda creep me out, ngl since I do see her as a sort-off mother-figure in his life...)

misc. thoughts: It’s kinda crime, how he basically triggered the bit of Character development Hisako had, yet they never truly interacted with each other again afterwards ever again?? Like...Why? Why would you do something like this?

twitchy mass effect squad thoughts: 1

some of my thoughts on the different characters in mass effect!

Commander Shepard: I only played as Femshep and so all my thoughts on romances, characterization, and so on is exclusive to that version; my Shepard custom look can wait, but my take on her is absolutely PURE, BLASTING PARAGON. Paragon Shepard is the only Shepard I like; I despise REnegade Shepard with a passion, and honestly most of the characterization options for Renegade Shepard make me uncomfortable. But Paragon Shepard? A flirty, all-loving heroine who fights for all living beings? Who defends the krogan when no one else will? Who insists the geth are victims of their own makers from the very beginning, who pleads with hostile AIs to see reason when everyone else says they are monsters? Who always extends a hand before she makes a fist, who believes in people, and that the best endings are the ones when you are brave enough to trust the rachni, the geth, and the krogan? HELL. YES. BEST PROTAGONIST.

Ashley Williams: Yeah, I’ll be blunt; I really don’t like Williams very much. For the most part, I wouldn’t if she wasn’t an isolationist xenophobe that is casually speciesist, but her bigotry towards aliens is a big part of her character. (And it’s more notable when she’s implied to not even having met aliens at the beginning of the games, and seems to be putting on a front.) And her isolationist attitudes are, just. a bad idea. If they didn’t have that aspect of her personality at all, she’d honestly be likable, but as is, going to a place like the Citadel and talking about how all the people look like animals to her is really off putting. (I genuinely have no idea WHY she doesn’t endorse groups like Cerberus or Terra Firma, since she’s just saying the same things they do.)

Kaidan: Kaidan is likable enough... except that if you play paragon (which is also where romance options come in), he’s obnoxiously pushy and comes off as a textbook Nice Guy, to the point that I am genuinely uncomfortable getting friendly with him. Otherwise I would like him, with his open attitude to aliens despite his experiences with a nasty turian, and his vaguely Paragon outlook, but he’s mostly kind of... eh. overall he suffers from the problem of the human squadmates in mass effect; most of them feel very lacking or bland compared to the aliens, perhaps because the humans tend to be based on broad sci fi archetypes and take much of their characterizations from those assumptions, while the aliens are much more fleshed out and well-rounded characters.

Garrus: MY BOY!! THE MAN, YOUR BEST FRIEND. SHEPARD’S HUSBAND. IT IS HIM. I love this guy, love his voice, love his romance, I love him!! he’s always a delight to have around, his character arc always touches me deeply, and he’s amazingly good as a squadmate to boot; I only ever romance him, since his romance is one of the most heartwarming things in the game. He’s also a living embodiment of my favorite kind of alien characterizaiton, because he looks like an alien velociraptor man with mandibles, but in person he’s a charming dork with a bit of a bruiser streak. I have a big fondness for AUs that slap him into a powered armor suit that can fly. GIVE GARRUS A MECH SUIT, YOU COWARDS.

Tali: I like Tali a lot... except whenever the geth are involved. Sorry, Tali, but the quarians are VERY OBVIOUSLY the bad guys in that scenario. Apart from that, she’s one of the most likable characters in the whole series, and she’s fun to spec for blastiness. (I refuse to acknowledge the ‘canon’ of quarians actually being purple humans, though. that’s ridiculous.) She’s also interesting in that she’s often played for the sweet, lovable and delicate angle by the fandom, but in-game she’s actually very serious (if full of wonder) and she’s one of the more ruthless characters when it comes down to it.

Wrex: URDNOT FUCKING WREX, EVERYONE. It’s funny; I played the 2nd game first and emphathized with the Krogan BEFORE i met him, but his arc still has one hell of an impact; he’s funny, he’s charming, and he’s a burned out and embittered wreck who has suffered over a thousand years of watching his people die from the inside. Seeing him raise his people up and return to the galaxy is one of the most sincerely touching things I’ve ever seen. I don’t hold much grief to Wrex for his hatred of salarians and turians; they personally wronged him and destroyed his people, and they’ve been constantly racist against him since. “Want to see what genocide looks like, Vakarian? Go see a krogan obstetrician.”

Liara: I want to like Liara, I honestly do, but I just have a really hard time connecting with her. Reading between the lines, she honestly feels similar to what I hear the original concept for Spock was like; a science officer with a stern and straightforward demeanor; it helps that the Asari are very similar to the Vulcans in broad archetype. The game REALLY pushes a liara/shepard romance, which is off putting and to be honest, I really don’t get that much of an appeal. Her character development is great, but for the most part, it just doesn’t really hit for me, y’know?

ok literally no one asked for this but im going to be putting my opinion about each of the splatoon 2 bosses under the readmore (to protect ppl from spoilers)

remember its jus my opinion so it wont match yours, i jus wanna post my thoughts on em!!

(also tell me what your favorite and least favorite splat 2 boss is in the replies!! once again ppl who dont want spoilies, dont look at the notes on this and dont look under the readmore!!)

BOSS 1: the bread dude

pretty creative!! i thought its kinda silly but also its a kids game so its allowed to be silly. still its interesting!! its not very difficult, of course, its the first boss. pretty intimidating though, at first!! i think maybe it should kinda rush you to get to the top of it in its final phase though, 1st and 2nd i will excuse bc once again, its the first boss, and its in a kids game. so ppl need to get the hang of things this early on.

overall, i give it ★ ★ ★ ★ ☆ 4 out of 5 stars!!

BOSS 2: samurai dude

a very interesting concept, very unique attacks, but very weak. he’s the 2nd boss still, so its not going to be super strong, but its by far the easiest boss in splatoon overall. i think they couldve made him so he didnt flinch (probably not the right term to use here but its 1 am and im tired) when you hit him a lot, and since he’s a samurai, give him actual armor? i think they could do something similar to boss 3, give him armor that you have to hit a certain spot to remove the armor and then attack him. a very interesting concept, but he doesnt really live up to the samurai part of his title, and is far too easy.

★ ★ ★ ☆ ☆ 3 out of 5 stars!!

BOSS 3: angry gamecube 2: electric boogaloo

its him!! it was nice to see a boss return and then have the difficulty added!! overall a really good and enjoyable boss. my only complaints would be that he doesnt use the gun much except for one time in the 2nd phase. a nice, healthy challenge, you can ink a little bit (depending on your weapon) of the buckle, but not all of it at once unless you have the timing and distance right. the other complaint would be that its easier to climb up his side, instead of the parts falling off like they did in 1. but i’ll let that slide bc maybe they got better technology to build him or smth.

★ ★ ★ ★ * 4 and a half stars!! (i dont have a half star ok. im sorry. accept that instead.)

BOSS 4 realsies this time: shower dude

well. ive had THE worst time with this guy. he’s difficult to reach with most weapons. after playing thru this stage with every weapon, i’ll admit i got the hang of it at the end a bit there. but still, difficult to reach. his attacks arent very strong, so its not that i have a problem surviving, its decent attacks!! i’ll give him that. the sting ray is also a nice touch. a proper 4th boss, attack-wise. but jus. trying to reach the octocopters. its really difficult, especially on the last part of his battle!! its very stressful, i really dont enjoy fighting him because the fight is too tedious imo.

★ ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ i’ll give it 2, because attack wise and creativity n stuff, its very good and interesting, i just think its needlessly complicated because of how hard it is to reach the octocopters.

BOSS 5: return of octodad (oh and callie is there, too)

Well.

Well... unpopular opinion... the music really wasnt that good? but im not going to let that effect my scoring on him. jus personally a bit disappointed with it. it wasnt as good as splat1, i really enjoyed octavios theme from that, and im sad that they didnt even reference it at all. he doesnt collab well with callie... dj, in splatoon 3, lets go solo again, buddy... i miss u

OVERALL, the fight is good, the punching machine and how theres spinning punches. if you dont have your hero shot upgraded, its very difficult. i died. but after i upgraded it, it was significantly easier!! easier than the 4th boss, honestly. i feel like it couldve been a LITTLE more challenging, maybe more bombs or something for the bomb rush? the takoyaki orbs were pretty cool, they dont do much tho. his ink shower attack thing is pretty good, predictable and easy to dodge, but good.

callie tho... she doesnt really like. serve a purpose other than singing? its kinda disappointing. i thought maybe we were going to fight her or smth, that wouldve been cool for the first or maybe 2nd phase. all they gotta do is add octoling AI to her, they have octolings with multiple weapons, so she couldve used mostly anything and it wouldve been neat. i think its a bit of a wasted opportunity tbh?

the rainmaker part is pretty good tho, it was REALLY difficult to get the hang of, but after you know what youre doing its really cool!!

so, overall, ★ ★ ★ ☆ ☆ 3 out of 5 stars. couldve been better, couldve been worse, its interesting and has a bit of a challenge, i just wouldve liked for callie to have a bigger role other than singing.
