ok check this. i know you said bakoda but i think u meant bakyada LSDKFLSDJF

modern au (with in-universe nations just modern...) and bato and hakoda were best friends throughout childhood in their little northern town

probably had crushes on each other and didn’t realize it was mutual

bato’s a realist and he moves on and dates others (and hakoda does too, but more in the meantime until he and bato magically somehow figure it out without hakoda having to introspect on his attraction or sexuality or future :) )

when they’re 17 and 18 (hakoda, bato respectively), they have a falling out. maybe over future plans, maybe bato confronts hakoda about being hostile to his boyfriends. the kind of argument that might be easily resolved in the participants weren’t irrational teenagers. in any case, they grow distant at the end of high school. think, mutual friends having to choose one or secretly maintain friendships with both situation

bato moves for university, and then joins the coast guard. hakoda meets kya and falls in love and they get married. he sends an invite to bato knowing full well he won’t/can’t make it

life goes on and while bato climbs the ranks in the coast guard, kya and hakoda have sokka and katara, and hakoda will catch himself telling a story about him and bato as kids and have to sit with how weird it is that bato is such a big part of his life and so is kya and that has never overlapped (kya being from another town here). let’s say she doesn’t know what terms they left on

it’s probably weird to see bato’s family around their small town, maybe bato’s mom asks hakoda if he’s heard x update or y plan bato has told her about in calls or letters (she might not realize just how big of an argument the two had had)

that’s how he finds out bato is being discharged with an injury. the next week. kya finds out too (small town) and suggests they have him over for dinner or something once he’s settled back in...

cue: 2 weeks of hakoda awkwardly looking over his shoulder to avoid running into bato unexpectedly. everyone who sees hakoda either mentions bato’s back in town or Purposefully Doesn’t

kya sees him first. he’s easy to recognize as he’s a foot taller than everyone else, has a sling and nice eyes she recognizes from pictures at kanna’s. she introduces herself as hakoda’s wife (maybe it’s at the grocery store, and she’s got baby katara, and introduces her too)

(ok don’t think about bato still having a crush on hakoda since he definitely does, and meeting kya and katara unexpectedly and um. hm dont think about it)

so kya tells hakoda that evening that bato is coming over for dinner the next night (so here’s the scene: kya proud of herself, hakoda trying to not visibly look like he’s freaking out, toddler sokka marching around like “daddy’s friend! daddy’s friend!” while katara claps)

so um. bato comes over the next night and kya probably realizes the tension about a half hour before bato arrives when she’s cooking and hakoda is trying to figure out what to do with his nervous energy

boom: they’re sitting at the little table in the open concept kitchen/dining room and kya is trying to stoke the conversation but bato and hakoda are giving little monosyllabic answers

bato good with kids? bato good with kids. katara starts crying and this time kya can’t figure out what to do but bato just takes her in his good arm and she just. stops.

so kya and bato hit it off and talk about kids. was bato a big brother? sure he was! bato always took care of younger siblings, while hakoda was the baby 🥺 so while bato is holding katara and chatting with kya, hakoda is just eating his food and trying to keep sokka entertained

kya asks bato how coming home after, what, 7? 10? years has been for bato. his kid siblings are all grown up, which is weird. his arm’s messed up so he needs help doing a lot of every day things. and most of his friends have moved on or...... /looks at hakoda.

so when bato is distracted playing with katara, kya is staring hakoda down like what do i not know here. actually i don’t care, bato’s my friend now. she invites him over for dinner the next week

kya going over to bato’s with the kids to help with things he can’t do. kya leaving a key to their place under the rug for him to come over when he wants. bato helping with the kids. hakoda was shocked to come home to bato on the couch the first five times but now he’s used to it and just scurries off to the garage or office

which incidentally gives him a lot of time to rethink what their argument even had been (really not that important) and his feelings for bato (which unfortunately have not gone away even though he is in love with kya...)

so scene: bato in the living room with the kids after dinner, hakoda and kya cleaning in up in the kitchen. hakoda gets snippy with her for a second about bato being over all the time and she just. throws a pot down in the sink and turns on him and finally just asks him what the issue is, since he’s been avoiding the conversation for weeks at this point

he says like yes it’s stupid but it’s been so long it’s just embarrassing and hard to try to figure out where they stand. (and kya is perceptive and saw through them during the first dinner and she tells him so

so kya puts the baby in a stroller and grabs sokka’s hand and they walk to the park and tells them to talk it out

right so two men in their mid-to-late-twenties who were best friends ages 2-17 sitting on the opposite ends of a couch. looking at each other and awkwardly looking away and back and smiling and starting to talk but stopping and starting again

bato is the first one to apologize though. he didn’t make it to the wedding or any baby showers or hakoda’s dad’s funeral, but also didn’t ever try to talk to him about their argument. but hakoda’s got to apologize for the same

ok so they’re on the cusp of having the real conversation about feelings, maybe just getting closure on all of it at once but kya comes back home (the awkward silence probably lasted kya’s entire walk to the park)

kya sitting herself and the kids right between them and they watch something sokka insists on and kya puts the kids to bed and kya comes back and asks how the conversation went because i think she’s a very direct lady.

god ok what im getting at is hakoda and bato re-friending each other and kya getting to be best friends with bato and bato helping with the kids and eventually kya mentioning to hakoda that she wouldn’t mind smth more with bato

nothing sad happens and bato moves in with them. king sized bed!? :)

god fizzled out at the end i am obsessed with the premise but the resolution is um less important

user jeonwon basically just films his daily life

he doesn’t need a special theme or planned out adventures because his crazy friends are enough entertainment

videos of them going ordinary places but being attractive funny as hell

his most viewed video is of him and the other twelve guys going to an amusement park

his second most viewed is of him and the others entering an online gaming tournament just imagine all the screaming and the zoom-ins omg

his third most viewed actually isn’t really what you’d expect but it’s something you watch every day

it’s just wonwoo

sitting in front of the camera in a fluffy sweater and round glasses

and his hair is a little mussed up, as if he had just woken up, and he looked

wonwoo’s favorite video of yours is only one and a half minutes long

your close friend had a short film project to do for their class and had asked you to be their model

so the video is just a collage of clips of you out in town, at the beach, enjoying the day, laughing with your friend

and wonwoo just loves watching it so much, seeing you so happy brings a warm feeling to his chest and his cheeks

needless to say, you’re his youtube crush

and imagine the way wonwoo’s heart backflipped when you mentioned him in a q&a lmaooo video you did

“‘have you heard of jeon wonwoo?’ of course, I love his videos.”

paused the video, sat his laptop on the floor beside his couch, and lay back down staring at the ceiling with his eyes wide for like three whole minutes

he just couldn’t believe it

it was only half an hour later before like soonyoung was bursting through his front door, screaming at him to watch your latest video

another half hour later he was on a groupcall with like half of them as they convinced him to send you a message over twitter and ask for a collab or something, because even if he didn’t mention you much, they knew about how much he liked you

wonwoo’s shaky fingers as he hesitantly types out a message to you

it’s soonyoung who hits the send button because wonwoo was too nervous to do it himself

soonyoung ends up getting smacked

anyways he messages you telling you he’d seen your latest video and wanted to know if you’d like to collab sometime soon

and you’re like omg what is this real am i being pranked

but you click on his profile and see the little verified check so ur like well heck

y’all end up meeting at a cafe a week later to discuss ideas because y’all suddenly conveniently live in the exact same city i

wonwoo was a little shy and nervous when you first introduced yourselves and you could say the same for yourself, but after talking for a little while

you drifted from the topic of collab ideas and ended up just talking about anything and everything

wonwoo paid for your drink(s) as well as his and you ended up sitting and talking for a good few hours, all nervousness fading away into excitement and eagerness to get to know each other better

and you were shocked when you realized the sun was already setting

so you said your goodbyes and double checked that you had swapped numbers before departing, but ended up texting long into the night as well

your collab video was posted a week later, a little series of mini physical challenges that lowkey neither of you could do but you had fun nonetheless

slams fists down on table

the romance

nobody knew that you and wonwoo were dating

like,, y’all are shockingly scarily good at keeping things on the dl

it even took the rest of the boys and your close friends like a month or two to figure it out

“seriously, wonwoo, you still haven’t made a move yet?”

and wonwoo just snickers

“waiT A SECOND-”

but yes the fans are oblivious, though there are a lot that ship you two

it’s when your six month anniversary is coming up that you decide to let it go public

and so you both take all the behind the scenes footage you have

all the clips between activities you did that you had to crop out

all the times that you’d have to pause because you wanted a kiss or two

or because wonwoo wanted to give you a hug because you’re just so darn cute

or when you’d stare into each other’s eyes and tell the other how much you love each other

it was all pieced together in a short little video that wasn’t too excessive, but it showed just enough to display how happy you were together

papa jeons and whatever your fanbase is called is now one big happy family

and videos went from simple little challenges and whatnot

to cute little dates, milestones as a couple

wonwoo took you on vacation to an island for your one year anniversary and you bet he caught every moment of you swimming with the dolphins

even short little 30 second uploads of him holding you on his chest after a night out

or him whispering to the camera as he figures out how to prepare a nice breakfast in bed for you while you’re asleep down the hallway

all in all i’m real soft y’all are like the social media goals that every person like ever has i love y’all everyone loves y’all we gEt it it’s fine

I’m suprised that you guys follow me with all the stuff I spam sometimes... but thank you.

Also My cat Littlepip has been having the time of his life running around and climbing over all the christmas decor. It’s nice to see him having fun.

and well I’m very shocked that so many people liked my last draw! It’s kinda overwhelming haha. But it’s cool that people liked it and I think it turned out alright.

I have a few thing I on my draw list some examples would be like drawing my own Rarity christmas icon. A sexy looking Lamika sitting at a bar, Maybe a pony lewd... tho im not too sure on that. The Master’s Sword from Zelda resting in it’s pedestal, Maybe a really hard outfit or something super risky for Lamika for christmas. So yeah that’s a fair amount of stuff I’m going to attempt to draw.....

Also....I’m kinda close to hitting a milestone for my art blog even with tumblr falling apart at the seems... So I might do something for you guys but I don’t know what.

Anyway I’m prob going to head to bed soon so you all have a good night/day.

Ahhh so I have gotten a lot of new followers lately?? I don’t know what the occasion is but welcome! and also love love love to all of you who have bothered sticking with me here for any amount of time :D:D

things about me and my blog you may want to know!

im a queer, married, over 30 adult. to me this is not really a talking point lol but to some people these sorts of things matter. if you are young and bothered by adult content or not comfortable in like solidly adult spaces, no harm done just slide on along.

my primary fandom content is morseverse (inspector morse, endeavour, lewis and the colin dexter novels). i write fanfic and make gifs! i do kind of just live and exist in all mystery shows tho... and spooky stuff

im also a gamer, a comic person, a dnd person and i got them hot sticky anime roots

my queue posts every 1.5 hours. if that’s too frequent for you, just letting you know. i do also post on a whim but i try not to ever flood!

i do read my comments! i may not always reply cause.. you know.. energy. but i see all for the most part!

i try to avoid posting social justice discourse, news/politics, (too much) shitposting, etc. i also don’t follow that sort of thing. i just like a lot of pretty pictures and fun convo specific to my niche interests. i may occasionally go on a fandom rant when all the grime builds up.
