i always feel so bittersweet when i think about harry and blm
#and its bittersweet bc im cpnstantly reminded of how white this fandom is and lowkey it gets to me#and hearing about the project that started it all made me so happy bc ppl are gonna have him talk about his other fans#bc as wild as it sounds.. poc like white artists too.. and hearing that att these ppl who promised to hold up blm signs at the pit for him#just fucking bailed?? but were so happy when he waved a rainbow flag it hurt me a lot#you cant call yourself an activist if you never pay attention to more than one issue and racism is big in this fandom yall#not only hearing that white fans abandoned the project but harry ignored the handful who decided to go through was painful as hell#i highkey felt sick to my stomach bc ppl started jumping to his defense trying to make up some excuse for him#and then all these big bloggers pretended to care for black fans for three hours until he posted a vague ass pic on ig#and ppl straight up forgot it happened after his little speech on loving everybody#so thats the bitter.. and im still very bitter to this day about the tone deafness#the sweet was his stupid ass finally listening to us who put his ass on blast about that mess#and finally making a mf effort to show up for us.. its cute that he empowers women and loves his queer fans but all that aint shit#it aint shit if you’re openly supporting my queerness but refuse to acknowlege my blackness.. or my gender identity#now dont get me wrong him making these mistakes doesnt make him a terrible person.. it just means he has a lot of work to do#i want his shows to be more inclusive than they already are#when he said yes it does to a black girl holding a giant blm flag during sott and put it on the screen?? that shit was powerful#i just want him to do better.. make hs2 smth else#ok im done ssgsfvsgbm
