Hi, you were looking for people to send you asks reguarding the show, so here I go. Well I unfortunately don't have any questions about Inanimate Insanity as I havent seen it, but I have questions about hfjONE, as I havent found anyone to talk to about the show with.

OH JOY TIME TO YAP!!!

Fav ONE character: for like "serious" favs Liam, Bryce and Airy. Love Amelia too, but I'll explain my thought process with why i picked those 3. First i fear i constantly fall in love with the main characters of shows, but to me Liam is different. It can be so easy for him to be characterized as the always caring wants to help everyone main character. But he just isn't that, he gets mad, he gets frustrated, he argues back with Bryce. And i really love that??? He has a heart of gold but he will beat the fuck outta airy if he gotta, and he did. With all of that and him being our main character he's still mysterious, like I'm going to be thinking till the day i die about why he didn't see anyone in The Waiting Room. For Bryce, if I'm being honest I'm not always a fan of asshole characters but he has so much depth in my eyes it makes me not well. He can, like Liam, could easily just be "always the asshole one that hates everything" character but he really isn't like that at all, he's immediately caring to Bryce and Amelia, he just puts his foot down to the obvious upsetting situation he was forced in. he left ONE like it was a bad dream and tried to move on like it was one, he found purpose and he moved on, he wouldn't have known that they were still in there after a month or so. he didn't see stone write those notes, after he finally has stability (if it is just running a fast food place) then more then half a year later some random fucking "dream" guy knocks at his door telling him to do things. And omg don't get me wrong Bryce is still an asshole, just a understandable asshole, and only one cause of the situation he was forced in. For the themes of the show, i love that he is a little selfish, people aren't perfect, people can and will be selfish sometimes (that also goes back to airy's character but i look away). his development out of any character was amazing, the "I'm not in the suburbs anymore" line makes me scream and cry every ONE rewatch. Airy is just the perfect villain for a show like this, i can go on about how the writing of the "people" characters are so rich and have several layers of depth that my little autistic brain wants to pick. But this is already long and i have 4 more questions. for a show that has a concept theme of life and emotion, the villain being one that lacks emotions is just SO good it makes me want to claw on the walls. Still with that he still has SOMETHING, he helps Liam, but he also was the one that trapped him. Is he good? is he bad? well for a show that actively tries to NOT put characters in a box of "the nice one and the mean one" those types of questions are very shallow. did airy deserve what he got? was there a better way? well there's always a better way when you're looking from the outside, but inside, airy was just broken (literally haha). there's no forgiving, why would you, what airy did was awful. but you can understand, if only a little. the last line in the whole show being "when you got nothing better to do you'll find anything to occupy yourself" was so good i can keep writing paragraphs about airy but I NEED TO MOVE ON OMG. (fav non-serious characters are atom, subway seat and whippy creamy)

Favorite moment of ONE: For s1, it has to be the end of episode 4, but not the part of stone leaving, Amelia snapping at Airy. First time watching ONE i actually started tearing up at that scene, and it made me realize "oh shit this show is something different". All i wish is that the show explored Amelia more, even though i know that's the whole thing with the show, leaving things up for the audience to figure out. but i feel she got a little TOO much for us to figure out and basically nothing on her. For s2, it has to be the intro on ep 18. Every single time i watch that scene i tear up a little, Bryce's voice actor did AMAZING during that scene (and that says a lot cause the voice acting is amazing through out the whole show). The dread of already knowing what's gonna happen, the music, Bryce basically yelling at airy like he's an angry god. like OUGH it makes me freak out every single time i watch it.

Thoughts on airys death: When i first watched it i was definitely shocked, but i trusted the writing enough to know that it wasn't just "oh random shock value" moment. I love how bitter sweet it is, i love that he went back to the Waiting Room and now it looks like the exact place he trapped other people. He got his karma for what he did, now he has to sit and basically start over, fine another place or sit there and rot like toothpaste had to do. i like to think about if it was an accident or on purpose a lot, obviously it was an accident (at least to me), but was he thinking about it? why did he make the bridge so unstable? he's been there for 10 years, he made a whole house, but not a safe bridge? was he actively being careless? my friend pointed out to me that he does have a very new injury, that might have messed up his brain (even more), or his vision. I just love bitter sweet endings, i love thinking about "what next", and getting to see it, lets my brain start running.

Thoughts on investigation mini-series: OH I LOVED IT, it's more story building but it leaves the ending the same. more stuff about Taylor (the mini-series made me love her more), and background characters. it's just more of cheesyHFJ flexing his character writing and i'm here for it i will EAT IT UP!!!

a/n: so this one means a lot to me as when I was a kid, my dad always used to play the guitar for me before I'd go to bed the same way his mother did for him. When his mom died, he stopped doing it. i was a kid so i didn't understand how much it hurt for him to even hear the sound of a guitar, but now that I'm older i understand it much more. I understand it even more now that's he's been deployed for over a year and half and even the sound of guitar makes me sad. He facetimed me the other day and played for me when he learned I was having a hard time sleeping, and i instantly burst into tears. My mom hasn't always been the best, but my dad has. So this one goes out to him even though I would rather die then show him my tumbler account. also, just rewatched the nanny diaries because scarlett johansson, and i remember how much i fucking love that movie so if you havent seen it, watch it.

The day you told Wanda about your childhood was the day she realized she loved you. It was weird timing but it was the way your eyes shimmered as you talked about your parents and siblings that made something inside her change. It was a look of far gone happiness, one that she wanted to make come back. You’d been dating for six months at the time, and she had recently told you about her brother and parents. “They sound like amazing people.” You’d told her, and she appreciated the way you didnt add a, “they were”. It's strange, but something breaks inside her every time someone reminds her they're dead. 

You told her you felt the same way as you told her about your father, and she’d replied with, “It’s because you love him. No matter where he is, no matter what changes in your life, that’ll never change.” She understood it in a way nobody else in your life did, the same way you understand her.

She’s never really believed in soulmates, but if they did exist, she's sure your hers. When she told you that one night as you guys were getting ready for bed, you just smiled and kissed her. You’ve known she was yours since the very beginning.

She was recently sent on a week-long mission, and she’ll be back just in time for your one year anniversary. You both agreed on getting something small for each other, so you bought her a few books she's been talking about recently and some new rings. She’s not a big jewelry person, but rings are something she cannot leave the house without putting on.

The sound of the front door opening takes your eyes away from the TV screen, and you jump up from the couch to run to her. “Wanda!” “моя любовь!” She catches you as you jump into her arms, holding you up with two arms and closing the door with her foot. You move back a bit to look her in the eyes, and it’s silent as you stare at each other with admiration. She has a small cut above her eyebrow, and a bit of dirt on her. Other than that, she seems fine.

She doesn’t drop you as she leans in to give you a kiss, but she does gently set you down as she takes off her shoes and tells you, “I missed you.” 

“I missed you too witchy.” You say. You guys stand there in the entryway for what feels like forever, embracing each other in silence before she decides to go take a shower.

When she comes back, she practically forces you to sit down and relax so she can serve the food even though you tell her she should after a mission. Wanda’s always been like that. Caring, even when she really just needs to be cared for.

You guys eat dinner while you talk, the previously silent room being filled with laughs and sighs of contentment. She doesn’t talk about the mission, as she always says she doesn’t like talking about work during her moments with you. She always tells you about them as you guy’s get ready for bed, and you listen to every word no matter how tired.

You guys always split the duty of dishes. She washes, and you dry and put away. It’s a boring process, but doing it with her always makes it worth it. The redhead then leads you to the living room as she uses her powers to turn on your favorite movie. She goes to grab something from behind the couch, probably a present, and you immediately stop her, “Can I go first? Please?” She nods without hesitation, almost like she's relieved she doesn’t have to go first.

Sprinting to your guys bedroom and then back, you join her on the couch and hand her the back. It’s sparkly green- her favorite color, even though everyone thinks it’s red- with white tissue paper. She basically throws the tissue paper behind her with a smile, which turns into a full on grin when she reads the titles of the books you got her. One thing about the witch is that she's easy to shop for. When you first started dating, a list of the books she currently wanted was placed on the fridge right next to the grocery list. You had simply laughed it off, but she continues to update it over time and it's become increasingly helpful.

Then she sees the rings, ones she had pointed out in a thrift store a few weeks ago. She slips on her fingers, and it takes everything in you to not make a comment about how hot her hands are. One is made up of tiny fake pearls, and that one goes on her pointer finger. Then a skeleton bone one, which goes on her ring finger, a small gold one with a red stone on it. That one goes on her pinky. Then a white one with a gold line going through the middle, which goes on the pointer finger of her other hand. She seems happy, and that makes you happy.

She gives you a small kiss and then mumbles against your lips, “Thank you my love.” The redhead sits up straight again, giving you a nervous smile and reaching behind the couch to grab something. She brings out an acoustic guitar, one similar to the one that your dad would use every night when he would play you a lullaby. In fact, right down to the tiny spot of blue paint marker your brother put on the side of it when he was five, it's the exact replica.

“So I um…..I tracked down your aunt.” Your girlfriend begins, not quite meeting your eyes as she fiddles gently with the strings. When you were a teenager and your father first died and your aunt came to pick up his things as she said you and your brother couldn't keep any of his stuff, you wanted to scream at her and rip the instrument out of her hands when she grabbed it. You don’t feel that way about Wanda holding it.

“After a polite conversation and a little bit of threatening, she handed over the guitar.” You giggle, bringing a small smile to her face. “Then I went to Clint and Laura, who spent a very long time teaching me how to play.” Your smile grows and she begins playing a familiar tune. The one your dad played. “They got very frustrated with me very quickly but they said since it was for you, they’d help me learn the song your dad made you. So I went to your aunt again and kind of stole the sheet music. I’m not very sure if that woman likes me.” “That’s okay honey. She doesn’t like anyone.”

You both quietly laugh before she clears her throat and says, “So I’m going to play it for you. I just hope you don’t hate it.” You don’t have time to tell her that you could never hate a gift from her before she's playing the chords. She messes up a few times, but it’d really be no obvious to someone how did not grow up hearing the song. Her honey-like voice fills your ears and it's like you're right back there, laying in bed with your favorite stuffed animal and watching as your dad easily moves his fingers over the frets.

“Sweet pea, apple of my eye. 

Don't know when and I don't know why.

You're the only reason I keep on coming home.”

Her voice is different from your dads, but that only makes it ten times better. You can quickly feel tears begin to form in your eyes.

“Sweet pea, what's all of this about?

Don’t get your way, all you do is fuss and pout.

A few weeks ago, Wanda had laid with you in the dark and quietly asked as she was falling asleep, “What the hell is the Rock of Gibraltar?” You had tiredly told her what it was even as confused as you were, and it makes a lot more sense now.

She is out of control sometimes, but you know how to bring her back. Actually, you’re one of the only people in her life that can.

She lets the tune ring out into the silence as she concludes the song, and she doesn’t meet your eyes until she hears you sniffle. You have tears streaming down your face, and she instantly panics. “Why are you crying my love? Oh god. I’m so sorry. I didn’t mean to make you cry. Was it that bad?”

You send her a smile despite the tears and shake your head. “No. Happy tears Wands.” She sighs in relief, wiping your tears with her sleeves as you take a deep breath. “That was beautiful.” You lean into her touch as she caresses your cheek. “When my dad died……i hated the sound of music. I wondered how something so amazing could exist  if something as great as him couldn’t.” She nods in understanding. “My siblings would try to play for me, and I literally broke a piano once because of how much I hated the sound of instruments. As I got older, I got more used to hearing music, but I didn’t exactly enjoy it. It was mine and my dads thing. He would go to work for a long time and I’d barely see him but I knew that at the end of the day, every single day, he’d be there to sing to me. So many things changed over time but that never did. Until….well until it did.”

She listens as you talk, humming everyone in a while to show she's listening but also stays silent so you can talk. You run your fingers gently over the wood of the guitar as if it’ll break if you touch too hard. “But when I met you……you played music everywhere. In the car? Music was playing. Making dinner? Music was playing. Hell you get in trouble constantly for wearing earbuds on missions so you can listen to music. And at first, I struggled with it. I wasn’t going to admit it because I knew how much you loved it and I’m happy I did it. Because now, I don’t associate music with how mad I am at the universe for taking my dad, but with you. My favorite person.” Her eyes sparkle in a way that makes you want to wrap her in bubble wrap and protect her from anything and everything.

“You’re my favorite person too.” She says as she leans in to hug you, burying her head in your neck. “And I love you.” Your girlfriend adds as she places a gentle kiss on the side of your neck. “I love you to Wands.” You mumble.

You don’t see it, but she lets one arm release you and places it in her hoodie pocket, squeezing the black ring box tightly. If she wasn’t sure before, she is now.

i cannot emphasize how much i havent had time for it recently but by god i need to rewatch/watch the last few episodes because there is so much i love and find fascinating about Deanna's character but also don't feel right writing actual meta about it when I'm still operating on half knowledge. But like!!!!! Deanna hears about "Maybe its our sins coming to roost" and immediately says "no, i think- they're scared. it wasnt anything we did." She asks- are you okay? She hears this man speak about feeling alone, for the first time, cut off from an ever present light he was accustomed to for so long, and tries to reassure, presses 500 gold in his hands and lightly jokes about how she's a hero, its fine.

Dead, and come back. Rested, gone, and brought back in the name of love with none of the soft landing. To a world that had moved without her, a gift unwanted to the point of a curse- and still, asking: Are you fine, are you good? Angry, when it matters (rightfully so), working through regrets and hurts, watching her beloved companion have a crush and congratulating him for it, so deeply overjoyed.

im thinking about how i left off my replay of tov in the middle and never came back to it and i hate having to continue games i havent touched in a long while so i usually just create a new save file but that would be counter productive with vesperia because the first half of the game is the part that i remember the most and with pinpoint precision meanwhile the second half is really foggy and well i dont like the battle system very much + im already in the middle of replaying octopath 2 so maybe ill pick up where i left off by watching a playthrough except im already scheduling my next 2 months and filling it with naruto rewatch and code geass rewatch so i dont have time to do that but i REALLY REALLY REALLY want to think about tales of vesperia right this INSTANT!!! so needless to say im in a lot of mental anguish. AND i just remembered my playthrough of tsukihime has ground to a halt but at least with vns im fine with picking them up after not having read them for a while but still thats even more on the table here. and higurashi on top of that. basically can you guys stop watching and reading and playing things and then talking about them for a bit i have to catch up

I DID REREAD THE X-TALE COMIC AND REWATCH THE X-TALE SERIES THO AND OH MY GOSH I FORGOT HOW MUCH I HAVE FEELINGS ABOUT THE X-TALE COMIC, ESPECIALLY THE 2ND HALF OF IT LIKE OH MY GOSH I FORGOT SO MANY LITTLE DETAILS THAT MAKE IT SO MUCH MORE DEVASTATING BRO WHY DO I NEED REREAD THIS MORE OFTEN WHAT AM I DOING?!?!

Anyways, that was fun! I guess in a way it was kinda fun having not read it in a while cause like I got to be surprised by some things I forgot. Like Cross almost killing Frisk in the very beginning and then panicking about it and feeling awful. The slow build up of his suspicion of Frisk. And the whole deal with Papyrus secretly protecting Cross from his blasters to make Undyne and Frisk think he killed Cross. I had been thinking that Cross saved himself for a while now. And you know what? You know what that does? YOU KNOW WHAT THIS MAKES EXTRA DEVASTATING?! YOU KNOW WHAT OTHER KNIFE TWISTING DETAIL I FORGOT?! CROSS INITIALLY SPARED PAPYRUS! DO YOU REMEMBER THAT?! DO YOU?!?!?!? CAUSE I DIDN’T! I FORGOT! BUT AFTER CROSS KILLED EVERYBODY HE LEFT PAPYRUS TOTALLY UNHARMED AND WAS LIKE “Papyrus wants me happy 🥰” AND PAPYRUS IS JUST LIKE STANDING THERE AND THEN HE’S LIKE HES LIKE “yeah but like maybe you went like a little too far-“ THEN BOOM HES FUCKING DEAD. CROSS KILLS HIM! LIKE URGHHHHHH IT HURTS IT PHYSICALLY HURTS ME! AND THEN LIKE WHAT HAPPENS DIRECTLY AFTER? LIKE I FORGOT ABOUT FRISK TRYING TO GIVE CROSS THE HEART LOCKET AND THEN CHARA ACCIDENTALLY KILLING FRISK!!! LIKE I HAVE I ROBBED MYSELF BY NOT REMEMBERING THIS ANGST! IT MAKES CROSS’ REALIZATION THAT HE CAN’T ACTUALLY BRING EVERYBODY BACK EVEN MORE DEVASTATING!

So uh yeah I had a very fun time rereading the comic. And then I rewatched the X-Take series like the next day and OH MY GOSH IT WAS EVEN BETTER HAVING JUST READ THE COMIC LIKE IT JUST HITS SO MUCH HARDER AND I should probably stop there before I jump into another rant. This post was not supposed to be this long oops. I’ll just summarize what I was going to say by saying that this series gives me Feelings and Emotions.

BUT I STILL HAVENT WATCHED THE NEW UNDERVERSE EPISODE! I’ve being holding off for a day when my family is out of the house for long enough for me to rewatch all of Underverse Season 2 plus the new episode cause I want to try and see if I can put it on our television. BUT GUYS I DONT KNOW IF I CAN WAIT ANY LONGER! I THINK IM GONNA CAVE! LIKE I DON’T NEED TO WATCH IT LIKE THAT!      Laying on the pool table yet again in the Hotel Obsidian after your brother and other sister died. Can't seem to fucking escape this place. It's like Hotel California. Great now I’m gonna have that song stuck in my head. Laying on your back, head against the lip of the pool table, you admire the necklace Fei had got you when you were a teenager. Yours had said ‘Best’ while theirs said ‘Friends’. Originally they were black with white lettering but due to time, they had faded to a bronze color with black lettering from the years of filling them in with sharpie. Tearing up you curl into a ball and start to sob. My fucking family is dead, my fucking best friend is dead. Now in the fetal position, you full-body sob, not caring if anyone sees. 

     Ignoring the ongoing argument in the other room, you go to the buffet trying to find something small to snack on, finding an apple. Using your knife you peel and slice the apple, cutting it into little cubes. The thought of cubes breaks you again, dropping your knife on the floor and dropping to your knees. I want my family back, I want my fucking family, I NEED them. I need Alphonso’s shitty jokes, I need Jayme’s daily existential dread talk, I need Chris’ happy disposition, I need Fei. Sobbing you slide down the wall silently munching on the apple cubes. After a cry sesh, your arms fall to your sides, brushing the matted-down carpet. Looking forward all emotions drained out of you, feeling empty. Deciding to see what the other idiots are up to you head back toward the balcony.

     Before walking into the room you hear Ben and Diego arguing. Leaning on the column you watch them argue, numb. “Hey, you guys done? The universe is disappearing outside. So you can keep rearranging the deck chairs of the Titanic if it makes you feel better. But the fact remains that we are too late,” Five says. “Come on, Five,” “It's over Luther, we failed.” “Come on. It cant be over over,” Viktor says. “Yeah, come on, Five. We gotta figure this out, man,” Diego insists. “Okay. How about we take a step back? Look at the big picture here. Most of us have spent the last 28 days trying to stop the world from ending. What exactly have we accomplished?” The room goes silent, the Umbrella’s reflecting on their past 28 days. 28 days ago I wasn't in this shithole and had all my siblings. Walking from your column you stand next to Ben, his arms wrapping instinctively around you. Normally, this would make you smile but not now, not after half of your family died. “Well, we made some friends along the way,” Luther says positively. “Incorrect! You know what we’ve done? Nothing. We made things worse every single time,” Five corrects Luther. Leaning closer to Ben your head leans against his bicep sighing. “Don't save the world.”

     “Well, on that…super happy note, we’ve um--oh, what the hell,” Luther says as both he and Sloane stand. “We’ve got a little announcement to make,” “We’re engaged!” they say in unison. “Kill me, Jesus,” Ben mutters making you smile for the first time. Taking the flask out of his hand you take a long drink before giving it back. “Now?” Allison asks. “Yeah. Look, we realize the timing is less than ideal. But, obviously, it's now or never. Am I right, Five?” “Don’t drag me into this, please,” Five says while looking away. “What…Whatever time we have left, we wanna spend it with all of you. So we’re super pumped if you would join us in the banquet hall at 6:00 p.m. for a celebration of our love, and the official union of what's left of our two great families,” Sloane explains. “Dress code is creative black tie.”

     Sloane goes around handing out their wedding invitations when Reggie and Klaus return after being gone for days. Klaus explains that they were tangled up in a father-son end-of-the-world road trip. Klaus’ long explanation ends with him saying that he’s now immortal. Huh, so that's what Diego was talking about. After accusing Klaus of getting into bath salts, Reginald asks why we’re playing with jars. “They’re invitations. Luther and I are getting married,” Sloane says to Reggie. “If he goes to their wedding I'm gonna be even more pissed off,” Ben whispers to you. Ah, your wedding was a magical time full of arguing and absent fathers. Sloane hands him an invitation before Luther tells him space is limited and taking it back. Ben picks your invitation up and looks at it, “Ours were better,” he jokes. “Well I mean it's not like they have marketable powers like us,” you continue joking. 

     “Dad, have you been taking your pills?” Sloane asks. “As a matter of fact, I haven't. And I can confirm that I’ve never felt better in my life. You thought you could dope me up and slow me down, take control of my affairs and squander my fortune,” Reginald says, looking directly at you. He’s always hated me, accusing me of only being with Ben to get a hold of his money, the feelings mutual. “Well, Klaus here was good enough to wean me off that wretched poison, and now that the fog is lifting I can see all your dastardly designs with a bracing clarity.” “You took him off his meds? What were you thinking?” Sloane asks upset. Reginald is then sent into another spiel about how he's the only one thinking and then calls him an impressive young man, causing Diego to laugh. “As for the rest of you, your training is to resume post-haste,” Thank fuck some normalcy in your last couple of days. Ben and you quickly tell him that you're ready. You can tell he’s been waiting for this, to go on a big grandiose mission since the last huge mission was years ago. 

     Five and Reginald start going back and forth; Five mentions that he talked to Pogo. God, I can't remember the last time I saw him let alone heard his name, I miss him. “Nobody wants you here, Dad,” Luther tells Reginald. “Hey, you don't speak for everyone, big guy,” Ben replies holding your entwined hands up. I don't even wanna be around him, he’s done nothing but make Ben and me feel like shit. I mean he didn't even come to our wedding when it was at his own house! “Feel free to join him.” Before Reggie can continue with another one of his long tirades, Klaus interrupts taking him to ‘have a cup of tea’ in his suite. Diego leaves as Lila quickly follows him; Sloane then leaves presumably to go see what’s up with Reggie, leaving you, Ben, and the Umbrella’s alone.

     Walking past Luther and Viktor, Ben holding your hand and pulling you along with him, he overhears Luther mentioning his bachelor party and how “not everyone is invited.” “What was that?” Ben stops making the three of you look at him. “Nothing man, nothing,” Luther shrugs off with a quiet chuckle and smile. Ben quickly continues with you in tow, walking even faster than before. Getting to what you have claimed as your room Ben flops on the bed and sighs deeply. Flopping down next to him you ask “Is everything alright? You’ve been pouting since we left.” Ignoring you and rolling on his side away from you, staring at the wall. “Well, when you want to tell me I’ll be open, not gonna force it out of you,” you say walking towards the door baiting him to say what’s wrong. “Okay fine you pried it out of me,” he says with his usual dramatic flair, rolling onto his back, and staring at the ceiling. “It’s just…why wasn't I invited to the bachelor party?” he asks, completely serious. “Babe, are you joking?” you ask smiling thinking it’s just another one of his pranks. “No, why would I be joking?” he says turning and looking at you now sitting on the bed. “Well I mean you’ve been an asshole to them the entire time they’ve been here,” you tell him. “Listen, I’m gonna find Sloane and see if she needs anything before we get ready.” 

    Walking to what you remember is Sloane and Luther’s room, you start reflecting on Ben’s actions. Being that you were the only person that truly got to see who Ben was or wanted to be. For everyone (and even sometimes you) he wears a mask of a confident, arrogant leader but in those times when his mask slips you can truly see him. An affection-starved man craving any and all affection and recognition he can get. A man that just wants to be loved and seen by his father. Someone who has played a character so long that he himself doesn't know who he is. Finally, you made it to their room, knocking to the tune of ‘Shave and a Haircut.’ You can hear Sloane yell to come in, walking in you see her sitting in a chair hemming a dress. “Need any help?” you offer secretly hoping that she would say no. “Um, not at the moment but thank you,” she smiles. “You know I can't even believe it,” she confesses. “What the wedding or the end of the world?” “Oh shut up, you know what I meant. I just can’t believe I’m getting married,” she says smiling down at her dress. “I mean I always thought and dreamt of this day and now it’s finally here. Did you feel like this?” Sloane asks looking up at you like a little kid asking for their mom’s advice. “Well truth be told no, but that’s just because Ben and I aren't romantics, unlike you and Luther,” you say playfully rolling your eyes at the last part.

     “So it’s official. My ears are broken and the idiot with knives really can’t sing,” Ben says barging in on you and Sloane’s alone time, the first part making Sloane jump at his sudden appearance. “Diego. You know his name is Diego.” Caught in the middle yet again. “Maybe you should try and be nice to him and the others,” Sloane says running out of patience for Ben. “And why would I do that?” “As much as I’d love to work through your anger issues right now, I have to get back to this. The wedding is in an hour,” she exasperatedly said, patience wearing thinner by the moment. “Fei is dead,” Ben says, reminding you about half of your family being dead and you soon too. “Yeah. I know. And so are the others.” “Oh, so that's it? You’re just gonna turn your back on the Sparrow Academy? I mean you heard Dad. we have training to do. Something big is about to go down.” “Ben, shut up,” you jump in, defending Sloane. “I wish you were talking about my wedding,” Sloane says sadly. “Okay, Sloane listen to me--” “No. You listen to me. I’m sorry they didn't invite you to the bachelor party,” Sloane says ever the nicest person in the room. “I don't…I don't care about that.” “yes, you do,” you and Sloane say in sync. “You care more about being invited to the bachelor party than Fei or the others or even saving the world.” “That's--that's... That's crazy,” Ben says chuckling awkwardly and looking at the ceiling before putting the mask back on and going back to his serious leader act. 

     “Is it? The three of us have never been alone. It's always been the eight of us. Now it’s just you,” Sloane says, Ben scoffing at her. “So congratulations, Ben. you're finally number one of one.” Ben looks at you incredulously, “So you’re not a Sparrow anymore?” “Why would I wanna be one?” you say about to cry for the millionth time today. Ben’s face drops for a second, looking you directly in the eyes, sadness written all over his face. “You don't mean that,” he says quiet enough that Sloane can’t hear. “Maybe I do,” looking at him tears in your eyes. “What’s so damn special about them anyway?” Ben resumes the conversation with Sloane. “They’re a real family. They don't exist to sell action figures and tote bags.” “We were more than that,” Ben tries to defend. “Were we?” No, we weren't. We were only a thing to deter crime (which didnt work) and sell merch. Hell, my own wedding had merch. “Why is it so important to you to be a Sparrow?” that's what pushes Ben to leave, quickly he walks out the door just before trying to grab your hand and pull you along unsuccessfully.

     Time for a wedding! Dressed all fancy in a black gown that you found in one of the abandoned hotel rooms. You haven't spoken to Ben in an hour and a half, only seeing him here for the first time in that hour and a half. “What’s the deal with them?” Klaus leans to Five and asks. “I have no idea, could be because we’re all gonna die,” Five says matter of factly. Standing next to Allison, Ben walks toward you, “You look…so fucking good,” Ben says hoping to make amends. “Thank you. You look good too,” you say smiling while taking a drink of your champagne easing yourself into your night of hard-drinking. Standing next to you Ben grabs your hand and starts playing with your fingers smiling. “Hey. I love you,” he whispers, leaning into your neck causing you to smirk. “Love you too,” you say now giving him a sip of your drink. After that Luther and Viktor arrive, “I don't know. Normally, my tush looks good,” Luther says walking out of the elevator with Viktor. As soon as they walk out Allison and Viktor are already quralling. Luther whispers something to the both of them before raising his voice, saying “Bah, bah, bah! My day! Two hours. Do you think you can manage that?” Viktor replies with a ‘fine.’ 

     The elevator bell rings and everyone faces toward to elevator. The seconds that it takes for the doors to open are painstakingly long, making you anxious and excited to see your sister. This was the day she would meticulously plan out when you two were in your teens, documenting everything she wanted in a large binder down to the lighting, and now it's finally here; albeit at the end of the world and planned over a night and a few hours. Looking at her you smile, “Let’s get this over with before I die of cringe,” Ben interrupts the beautiful scene of Luther seeing Sloane in her dress and the sweet moment the two of you were sharing.

      The marriage was ordained by Klaus who gave a very eventful but meaningful officiant speech. Sitting on the left side next to Ben, you interact whenever Klaus says something that warrants it, such as him yelling “Can I get an amen?” to which everyone except Ben makes noise. Glancing towards him he's pouting again. I’m not his fucking mom, I’m not gonna babysit him the entire night. I actually want to have a good last day. “I pronounce you married as shit! Viva la apocalypse!” Klaus yells as Sloane and Luther kiss, making the tiny crowd cheer. After watching Sloane and Luther have their first dance, you start looking at the food spread; the cookies and brownies catch your eye more than the other foods. After putting the food on your plate (and grabbing a bottle of vodka) you turn around to look where to sit. You could sit with Ben and Allison and have the joy sucked out of you or Diego and Lila and have to deal with their mushy love talk or you could sit with Five, someone who you haven't gotten to know yet. 

     Sitting down across from Five he looks up from his food and nods to acknowledge you. Looking back toward Allison and Ben; the latter staring at you. “So I take it things aren't going so good with Ben and you,” Five comments chowing down on a pastry on the table and taking a looong drink. “Rather not talk about that, right now I just wanna get as fucked up as possible,” you say smirking while sitting the bottle down on the table. “Okay, I have some questions,” you say watching as Five pours himself another drink. “Are you actually like a kid or is it some time-travel fuckery?” you ask the burning question that’s been on your mind since you saw him and Ben fighting. Five goes on to explain the first apocalypse and him being stuck there for 40 years and how he’s actually a 53-year-old man. “Huh. so you’re a little old man,” you say as Viktor sits down next to you.

     Getting up from your seat after talking with your new in-laws, bottle in hand you walk toward Ben’s table and flop down in the seat next to him, setting the bottle between you two. The elevator bell chimes making everyone look over and see Reginald walking in, making the room so silent, even the music. Reginald walks over and gets himself a plate and starts looking for a seat. “What is he doing here?” Ben asks rhetorically.  “But who invited him?” “just sit and suffer with me,” Allison says making you giggle. “I can’t even get invited to a bachelor party and he’s invited to this?” “Wow. you really can't relax,” Allison comments making you giggle again. “Y/n, are you okay?” she asks, making a confused face at you now laying your head on the table. “Oh my god, how are you already drunk?” Ben asks in disbelief. “Well you see, in my grief, I perhaps stumbled upon the open bar and perhaps may have started the celebrating earlier than the rest. I mean come on, we’re on the edge of oblivion and you people expect me not to day drink,” you say smirking “And! I’m not drunk yet.” Leaning on Ben’s shoulder, you watch how awkward the wedding has become, no one making eye contact with Reggie. The awkwardness is semi-broken by Lila and Diego, Lila wanting Diego to introduce them. Watching them was nice, Lila and Reginald actually had things in common and got to talking, impressing Diego.

     After the nice moment between Lila and Reginald, Allison had gotten up leaving you and a now pouting Ben alone. Ben and you had managed to drink almost half the bottle in addition to the numerous glasses of champagne. Now you both were laying your head on the table staring at each other, Ben laying on his plate of shrimp. Klaus soon made his rounds to your table; he had been doing this all night walking from table to table and person to person trying to convince them Reggie is good now. Guess it’s our turn. “Hey, Ben-ihana and lovely little eight,” Klaus starts. “Don't hit me!” he jokes sitting down at your table. “I know we all ain’t been best buds in this timeline or whatever, but man, do I have a mission for you--” Ben interrupts him by belching verrry loudly in his face making you giggle, still laying on the table. “Eleven people,” Ben says ominously making Klaus question. “There are only eleven people left,” “Ten and a half, I’m not all here at the moment,” you say making Klaus chuckle. “Okay. Drunk Ben clearly likes numbers and… shrimp,” Klaus says still trying to recover from Ben’s shrimp burp. 

     “And you couldn't even invite me to your stupid bachelor party.” “Oh. Have we finally flicked off bad Benny’s hard candy shell?” Klaus says rubbing his arm. “Why don't you like me? Or us?” Ben asks making you move next to his shoulder, cheek touching his jacket looking at Klaus. “Because you’re huge puckering assholes.” “Okay, but you like the other Ben and y/n,” Ben says annoyed and clearly sad. “Yeah, we love the other yous,” Klaus says with a hint of sadness. “Why? What’s so special about them?” “Because he was a know-it-all. He was a scold. He was a tiny dark cloud on a perfect sunny day,” Klaus laughs after that. “What about me? What was so special about the other me?” you ask now becoming increasingly curious and intrigued. “Oh my god, they were a pain. An emo with a preference for sulking and being pretentious in a corner. Know-it-all just like Benny,” Klaus explains about you, well the other you. “Those.. those are all bad things about us,” Ben says after looking down at his shrimp. “Yeah, and they looked great on you two.” “Okay, you know what? We are so much better than that other Ben and y/n. I was number one--” “Twice,” you interject. “And-and they ripped people’s throats out.” “Oh yeah, did that all the time in my timeline. Does Dad give a shit?” Klaus says before asking Ben. “No. he was busy hanging out with you” Ben whispers poking Klaus. “Oh, man, methinks you might be trying a little too hard. Look around. Nobody’s polishing their boots or pressing their tights. We’re a complete and total shit show. Ya get it? And our Ben and y/n, my Ben and y/n, were just that kind of disaster and it made them ridiculously easy to love,” Klaus says, sighing at the thought of his deceased siblings, before getting up to leave you two alone. 

     The speeches started after Klaus left and went back to Lila and Diego’s table. Reginald was first, talking about Sloane when she was little, calling Luther adequate, and talking about how he wishes that his shortcomings will be seen only as a rough patch. “I’m proud to call you my children, even those I raised in a revenant version of myself,” Reginald continues, glancing around the room before stopping on you, making you look toward Ben in disbelief. Holy shit, the man that wouldn't even acknowledge that Ben and I are married called me his child! Reggie’s speech continues and finally ends with a poem, Allison leaves making everyone look toward the walking woman. “Makes, no sense,” Ben says still eating his many shrimp as everyone starts applauding at Reginald’s newfound kindness. “All right! All right! Time to turn those frowns upside down. This one is for all my party people in the place,” the concierge turned now wedding D.J says, as everyone gets up and starts dancing on the dancefloor. 

     Dancing around with your new family and husband felt nice, it felt like it was just a normal wedding on a normal day. After all of the fast and upbeat songs played then started the slow songs. Arms wrapped around Ben’s neck while his arms around your waist the both of you sway drunkenly together. Looking up at him, you plant a small kiss on the end of his scar making him smile, and put his face into your neck and start kissing it. “Noooo, stop,” you say smiling and pushing him away jokingly. “No, come back here,” he says pulling you back before snuggling his face back into your neck. Leaving the dancefloor you and Ben go back to your seat. While sitting and drunkenly talking Klaus shows up and the three of you start walking around the hotel property.

     Towards the end of the night Klaus, you, and Ben arrive back at the wedding noticeably more drunk than before. “Oh no no no no no!” someone shouts. “Klaus, why are you bringing Ben here?” Five asks. “Hear me out before--” “Hear him out,” you and Ben shout in sync as you take your shared cigarette away from Ben. “The brother that you all knew as Ben is gone. And not-- I don’t mean our Ben, the nice Ben. I mean this Ben, he’s gone now. The asshole, he’s gone now,” Klaus exclaims. “But that's what I liked about you, my asshole,” you say sadly looking at Ben. “Klaus, what are you talking about?” Luther asks. Klaus ignoring his question continues, “And the man that stands in front of you is new new Ben, and he’s one of us, and he’s a member of the team. And he’s part of the family!” Ben and Klaus shout the last statement in unison. “And as a welcome gift, I suggest we throw him off the roof,” Five says making you laugh. “Ha! They like me more!” you gloat at Ben. “Yeah, I’ll help,” Diego agrees with Five. “You know what. You know what. He can stay. He can stay,” Luther says. “And baby eight?” Klaus says holding your shoulders and giving puppy eyes. “They’ve been welcome to stay,” Diego says making you smile as you walk over with Klaus and Ben.

    Almost as soon as you sit down everyone starts heading to bed. Standing up you pull Ben along with you, “I’m ‘sleepy’ if you get my meaning,” you say to Ben too loudly. Taking a moment to understand what you meant, Ben then realizes it, “huh? Sleepy? But-- Oh!” he says before speed walking with you toward to elevator.

A look back at 1990's Stephen Kings It

Its almost October,so lets talk about one of the 90's biggest contributions to horror,the two part miniseries It .I had recently rewatched (PRobabbly third time watching it) and have recently twice watched the excellent documentary Pennywise the Story of It so it is on my mind

Now I am NOT going to talk about the book cause I havent read it ,nor am I going to talk much about the two recent film versions cause I have only seen the first one .This also isnt going to be the typical review I do,cause while I will discuss my oppinions ,more of a ramble about my personal journey with it ,and discussion of its legacy

For those who dont know what It is about,it follows a group of people who defeated a monster 30 years ago ,who have reunited to face it again

Now if you want my oppinion :Its good if a bit uneven .The cast is all pretty settellar from a talented child cast that includes Johnathan Brandis and Seth Green ,to the adult actors which include Annette O Toole ,John Ritter , Harry Anderson,Tim Reid ,and Richard Thomas,the effects are pretty fun,the drama and humor work and its got a great score .Where it falters is the first half is REALLY strong but the second kind of falters ,especially with a bit of a unsatisfying finale ,and some scares wotrk some dnt

However what really makes the movie stand out ,is its villain/secret weapon :Tim Curry as Pennywise the Dancing Clown,the humanoid personification of the monster .Other actors like Roddy McDowall,Alice Cooper,Harvey Fierstine and Malcolm McDowell were considered ,but for reasons I will go into why later ,I think Curry was the best choice

Now the miniseries was a success and usually thats that for a miniseries .....But It has had an afterlife

When I was growing up it was considered one of the SCARIEST movies ever ,it wasnt even seen as a TV thing ,just a scary movie.I also happened upon my dad watching it when I was very young ....Specifically the scene where Pennywise lures then kills Georgie ,the brother of the main character....And it freaked me out

I was actually afraid to watch the movie until Nostalgia Critic did his review of it,and it seems in the 2010's there was kind of a backlash to the movie ,that its not as scary as people thought ,that it was corny and cheesy .Now there seems to be more of a reappraisal after the recent It movies ,with a bit more affection

As for why it has lasted so long I have two answers .One is the story this is tale about not only childhood but looking back on it the good and the bad and what becomes lost in our memory

However the main answer is simple.....Its Tim Currys performance.Put simply he is a perfect boogey man .Curry is a bold dangerous unpredictable performaer ,and instead of being a standar "GRr I'm gonna eat ya " monster.....He is a fun clown ,who is a monster underneath .Its why I am baffled by the backlash of people who say he is TOO goofy:No shit,hes a CLOWN ! The point is he makes you drop your guard cause he is funny and when he grts mean its even scarier ,hes a very unsettling monster ,and I would put Curry's performance up there among the great horror villains

sim wise: i've been in the stage of considering another coa post LMAOO i'm so sorry i post so slow 🚶‍♂️ slice of life is just like [gunshot] for making actual interesting posts.. other than that literally every single one of my sims have been getting Big Makeovers as my style is getting kind of a revamp so old characters have been opened in my cas recently like the comatose chars and my really weally old band sims plus obviously the coa and teoj chars 💪 and i'm constantly doing work for the teoj reboot but now i decided to go back to alpha after my brief mm phase i have to retake half these pics and also bc poppy's face has morphed like 7 times since then.. and last but not least my 2 legacies (@veggyble, @woodsies) are going strong 😭 I'M DOING A LOT HUH

real life: you really think after how big that sims section is i'm gonna have an interesting life? PLSS anyway nothing much just trying to survive school and not die from having a little crush on a pisces male and i've been playing animal crossing everyday since i got my switch for my bday (25th feb 💪) and i've made loads of progress in the early days which is NICE.. i also really need to catch up on all my school notes but at the same time catching up on everything in genshin impact holds the same priority level to me so in short i just need help OH ALSO i do have a manga style comic i've been working on since july last year-ish

Ok I have stuck with lower decks since day one and to be fair I have no revisited past seasons since I watched them, but Lower Decks was probably one of the more consistent Trek shows in terms of quality and making good usage of time (minus the last season but I will get to that lol) I do think they could’ve revealed certain plot points a bit faster, but I did enjoy the return to form for this series. It was definitely more in line with the traditional slow burn of star trek. Ok read more time.

I think a lot of people didnt want to give LWD a chance because the first season was a little too “ricky and morty”-ish type of TV show but like what first season of star trek isnt bad if we’re being totally honest here. So many nu-trek haters are too scared to give new Star Trek shows a chance because the first seasons are always rough but like come on. Whats one good episode from season 1 of any star trek show besides DS9 😑 give lower decks a chance if u havent already I think it’s worth it. You won’t get the emotional highs of DS9 but you wont be bored either

What I liked over all with LWD

- I liked the lack of romance at times but I did enjoy it when it was included. I wish we got more of Jennifer because her last episode WAS CRAZYYYYY

- the diverse alien choices were fun and I liked the human to alien ratio. I liked that the main group technically was split in half of 2 humans to two non-humans, but Rutherford for all intents and purposes was human lol.

- the relationship between the Meriners was realistic and well written. You understand both sides and understand why certain mistakes happen. Sometimes they do things to each other that some may deem unforgivable, but honestly the power of Family being a reason to forgive was really nice

- The late introduction of Ty’lnn was actually really nice and I’m glad we did not do the whole song and dance of the vulcan being the odd one out, they accepted her right away.

Acceptance being the theme overall for LWD was perfect. Making light of a bad situation, allowing change to occur despite pain, having to let go of the past, ect. It was done well looking back on it.

- MOST of the cameos were good…some did feel like “this actor didnt ask for too much money so we’ll just throw them in” while others were a pleasant suprise that I was happy to see (T’pol and Data for example) I think in the mid point of the series they overdid them a bit and then dialed it back.

- the show overall was well paced and the A-B storylines worked well together. One of my favorite treks and one of the first I followed all the way through (sorry I get bored easily LOL)

WHAT I DIDNT LIKE

Honestly this isnt super long of a list and it’s not necessarily things I hated lol. I wish the seasons were longer than 10 episodes because star trek doesn’t really work as a 10 episode series, but tjey did their best with what they got.

- sometimes I felt they introduced big story elements too late into a season and didn’t give it enough time to marinate. Rutherford finding out his past and meriner being sent to star base 80 were both big reveals and lasted like two episodes. I wish they revealed this stuff in like episode 6 or 7 and had that as the main A plot, not in episode 9 of each season. It felt a bit rushed when it didn’t need to be, seeing as a lot of LWD is filler (IM NOT A FILLER HATERRRRR I’m just saying…) maybe I’ll rewatch and see how I feel, but watching it week to week left me a bit frustrated because I wanted a good conclusion but often felt they stumbled getting to it.

- Rutherford deserved more screen time!!! While I liked the female focused aspect with many storylines going to Meriner (BEST CHARACTER EVER!!!!) or or Tendi, They set up a really interesting and gut wrenching story for Rutherford I don’t think got explored enough. His ending of suddenly not wanting the implant anymore felt pretty last minute, they should’ve explored that more. Like Did we really need a whole episode dedicated to Miglimo over Rutherford….

- TENDIFORD WAS SUPPOSED TO HAPPEN SOMETHING BIG WAS CUT! What who said that

I cut season 5 A LOT of slack because I think they were under the impression they’d be getting at least a season 6 to wrap everything up. Lwd was doing well from the looks of things and like what the fuck else does paramount+ have besides star trek. Does anyone care. Maybe they got rug pulled, but I got the vibe season 5 was not the intended ending at all. It felt like they just started throwing random science multiverse phrases at the wall to pad for time lol.

But It was really annoying that like most of season 5 was filler and backdoor pilots. Like I said did we need a miglimo episode…I liked the klingon episode and the away mission episode, but I would’ve preferred a Rutherford episode (shocker…!) or a two partner finale because the finale while good, felt rushed. I did like that everyone stuck together in the end tho. But whyyyyy take Rutherfords implant :( whatever.

You like Brida?😳 I mean i liked her until season 4, in season 4 she’s just so annoying. Also in the books she’s just awful.. she castrated Uhtred’s son and crucified lots of christians.

i love brida!!! i feel like she has every right to be angry and hurt especially from s3 onwards - if u look at it from her pov uhtred left many times, and then just as she was dealing w his latest departure, ragnar was murdered :( ik she had all those men but she must've felt even more alone after losing the people she cared about

(including thyra!! their relationship is barely explored which sucks but i imagine they have a strong one, so thyra leaving at the same time as uhtred must've hurt too)

in s4 ofc she's w/ cnut and is pregnant w his child!!!! before finding out he was responsible for ragnar's death - so even tho she avenged him in the end by killing cnut it obviously hurt her even more.

and then rather than having her wish to be sent to valhalla fulfilled by uhtred, from her pov uhtred just let her get enslaved by the welsh (although i can sorta understand his hesitation to kill someone he's known for so long, but her feelings r still v much valid)

edit: he didn't even attempt to go back and rescue her despite knowing she had been enslaved + instead left her there indefinitely, so 😬

brida doesnt even get half the sympathy uhtred did after being enslaved either, like i understand she wasn't a slave for as long as he was but she clearly suffered a lot physically and mentally :(

i think her character was written to seem like an obvious villain in s4 which isn't great, so if u take that into consideration as well as all this then i honestly feel really bad for her and her character

(also disclaimer im ofc not justifying her acts in the books!! - i havent read them so i cant Reeaallyy judge how her character is written, but what i will say is that - like in the show - a lot of characters like uhtred do just as many things that would be seen as terrible but aren't villified for them in the same way as brida is, bc they're the "heroes" while she is the "villain" - e.g. in s3 when uhtred set fire to that entire village : i never rly thought about how messed up that actually was until i did another rewatch recently,, yikes)

How Aaron could’ve been a good character and why he wasn’t

I’ve been annoyed at this for a good long while and i’ve finally gotten around to talk about it so here we gooo

please note that, though i watched all of mcd s2 while it was coming out, i haven’t rewatched it all the way through (i’m a little less than halfway through s2) so bear with me

now, we can all agree that we didn’t really have a lot of beef with aaron in s1. was it annoying that aph was keeping secrets?  yes. did we actively enjoy the fact that this random edgelord showed up with all of this convenient information? sure. but did we actively dislike him? i don’t think so

im sure that some people did, but it was a far cry from the universal grudge that we as a fandom hold. the only question is, what changed?

the answer is pretty simple: he got annoying

there is no greater sin that a content creator can commit than to make a character tedious--especially a character that the fans are meant to root for. i once heard someone say that there is no such thing as a good character and a bad character, there are only interesting characters or boring characters

now, before the s1 finale, aaron wasn’t annoying because he made sense. we didn’t know a lot about his backstory, but we knew just enough to not have a lot of questions while also understanding why he as a character worked. he spied on zane, he got information, and he got away with it because, according to every government in existence, he was dead. he was doing it to avenge his village, which seemed to be his reason for doing most things.

 that was basically it, because that was all that we needed. he didn’t answer personal questions because that could reveal his identity, and he didn’t hang around phoenix drop proper because he knew that there was a spy in the village who might figure him out. all in all, he was a very logical character

what changed? his motivation

after the gang sealed zane in the irene dimension, may i ask WHAt the fuck was his reason for staying??? nothing! what was his reason for keeping his identity a secret? pretty much nothing! it made no sense!!

according to all of his characterization as a *~lone wolf~*, it would make the most sense for him to strike out on his own and do whatever the fuck, maybe occasionally popping back in to warn the main characters of some impending doom, maybe hold a giant fuckass sword to someone’s throat again, maybe find some other tyrant to destroy.

but he didn’t, and it made no sense

this was made exponentially worse because he was an ~edgy dark angsty boy with a sad past and a dead wife~ and because he seemed to be able to do no wrong. he rarely, if ever, communicated with the rest of the group, and he often just went out on his own--and yet, most people seemed to trust him unconditionally?? he always seems to show up at the right place and the right time with little to no explanation as to how, and no one ever questions it. sure, laurance and dante had some doubts and even spoke up once or twice, but laurance’s grievances are mostly due to being in love with aph, and literally no one else ever asked anything, despite not even knowing his fucking name

and, of course, everyone thinks that he’s super hot and aphmau falls in love with him and then he dies a tragic death in a moment of self-sacrifice that really wasn’t all that heroic because he left his wife and child behind

i mean, come on

THAT BEING SAID he had soooo muuch potentiaalllllll

LET ME EXPLAIN

during s1, his role in the story was the spy--and he was very good at it, because everyone thought that he was dead!! how are you gonna blame a dead man for anything without sounding crazy! no one knew his name or his face or anything--and they should’ve kept it that way because, surprise!! theyre still at war in s2. sure, it’s a different war, but it’s still! a fucking! war! and like 70% of war is ESPIONAGE and INFORMATION and STRATEGY, havent you ever heard the phrase KNOWING IS HALF THE BATTLE??? they literally had possibly the best spy that they knew of and instead of actually putting his skills to work he just dramatically leans on trees and sits in the shadows??? WHAT

he clearly had ways to get into high places, since he had somehow gotten his hands on the amulet in s1, and he used to be a lord so he would’ve known things about POLITICS and KINGDOM STUFF--i mean, we all know that aphmau knows jack shit about this world and how it works.

what SHOULDVE HAPPENED IS:

after they all get back to the overworld, he leaves the party. idc if it’s immediately after or if he waits a few days, but he leaves regardless. every once in awhile, we hear of him popping up in various places, and we run into him a few times. he informs the gang of what he’s heard, maybe tags along on some missions. he still shows up in random places the way that he does in canon, but since he’s not based it phoenix drop i think that it makes a bit more sense, and he occasionally pops back into phoenix drop whenever he’s in the area or needs time to rest and recharge, and stays an informant for aphmau & her crew. as things pick up, he slowly becomes a more commonly-seen member of aphmau’s inner circle. 

throughout this whole period, he finally starts to come to terms with the death of his wife & their village, and he slowly starts to share more with the group--nothing big, just details here and there--and he actually starts to develop *gasp* a personality. i’d like to imagine that he gets closer with laurance, dante, and katelyn instead of only ever talking to aphmau. i don’t think that he’s ever super talkative, but he starts to be a little less quiet & closed off. 

at this point, he’s either told them his name or (preferred) they all have a list of nicknames that they cycle through to address him. sooner or later he starts to help with the building of phoenix drop and the alliance, taking on duties that are more akin to his old role as lord. he either phases the espionage out of his schedule or ghostwrites all of the legislation, and falls more easily into his new roles

i don’t really care if he ever ends up with aphmau or not, but if he does then that also happens at some point or another, but i, at least, would no longer be angry at that outcome

However, this whole plot would require everyone in the story to take literally all of their roles in this literal government that they’re building seriously, and we all know that that’s never going to happen, but i can dream /s

Tl;dr, if aaron actually used his strengths and skills to be a useful member of this alliance instead of randomly showin up and dramatically hitting things with his giant fuckoff sword, he’d be so much more tolerable

hi again! firstly wanna sincerely thank you for taking your time to answer me, i really appreciate it, youre awesome! however, before going to the main part i want to say that there is, apparently, a little misunderstanding: its not like i have not watched vods nor havent created theories in my head, but that we were generally left with the half of the whole story. afaik many things were just never explained or adressed, and even tho usually you can come to some conclusion, It's just a theory anyway. nope ive been able to explain it! with that, lets go back to the questions.

about spoke&parrot: this is just part of the general reasoning on the topic of when a meta-game becomes actively harmful to reality. I can imagine parrot being ok with spoke manipulating him and using and taking away his server but this shit sounds actually hard. also spoke expressed many times that he felt terrible and that in the end it became unbearable.

i do actually think that despite it obviously having lies spoke's video (and also vod right after that) to be more truthful than vi's pov. not because vi wanted to lie to anyone, but because for him it was a story of him doing this really cool deed and being the most important person in all project. and s4 showed to me that his perception on this matters could be very subjective on a verge of being distorted.

about parrot losing hearts: there was a really strange message from him not so long before the wormhole. he said he was joking but it doesnt seem to be a joke to me, so i do think about it sometimes.

i do believe that bedrock farm shit was just straight up mistake too, yeah. ourples both were sure zam knows its not true. afaik bedrock farm thing seemed to be a lie for the viewers, to mess with them, and it was expected that vi would explain it to zam out of camera. i think he even was sure he did. oh, vitalasy. i will never stop thinking about all of your character's potential.

i mean, vi defo had the idea of finding a glitch, found mrepic's video, showed it to spoke and contacted silicat, but silicat was the one who had actually understood its potential and did a big part of the work. i guess calling vi patient zero makes sense since all of this happened bc of him tho. and yeah, spoke got op only in the may, but it was generally silly from vi to think that he can control ash or spoke.

yeah, we know that spoke was speaking with parrot and that the was was actually staged (oh s4!leowook you was right from the start but I never found out about it) it was about the extent of it. but im rewatching wormhole breakdown and spoke had said here that he actually havent told parrot that much, although he immediately showed him the dupe glitch, so ig its answers that question. i love s4 but oh my fucking god i hope we'll never get the season like that again.

I started rewatching Soul Eater and you want to know what its done to me?!?!!

4 episodes in and im like i really wanna read fanfic for this show. I read the entirety of Ao3 and FF.net IN TWO DAYS

I went digging through tumblr tags and blogs FOR ANOTHER TWO DAYS

I finally find time to go back to watching it. I watch eps 5-24 IN ONE DAY. I am once again dying to read fanfic. You know when u read fanfic and then go back through it all with low standards? Ya i did that day 2 of #1 so i cant even do that. I resorted to reading wiki pages just for glimpses of new content

My brain did not shut up about this show for ANOTHER TWO DAYS. I regressed back into my pacing-for-HOURS-while-thinking-about-a-specific-show/book days

I would like to mention i saw this show for the first time 2 years ago and it did not do this to me. Just watching the prologues did this to me and gave me a fascination for the partnerships

I start thinking about canon!Soul and all this fanfic!Soul and reach the conclusion that Soul can achive the slightly better personality of fanfic!Soul by getting older and maturing some. I somehow start thinking of a AU(?) where Soul gets thrown back in time to the start of the anime. And its just other characters thoughts on 17 year old Soul/Death Scythe Soul. BUT WAIT THERES MORE

I start thinking how i dont want to send him back in time by himself and my brain picks Tsubaki to go back with him for no other reason than shes my fav. And then i was like should i send all the weapons? And i decide no bc thats a lot of characters and i still havent decided wether or not future!characters are swapping places with past!characters and i dont want miesters bc at some point i want a past!Maka and future!Soul team up. Then my brain back tracks to why would/what would happen that would allow just Soul and Tsubaki to be sent back. This STARTS the headcanon landslide i create of the main 7's futures

So first i decide to disregard what little i know of Manga canon and make Tsubaki a Death Scythe too (bc i literally cannot conceive the idea that a pairing as genius as Black Star and Tsubaki dont achieve that) so that Soul and Tsubaki have special Death Scythe training they undergo together and therefore thats why they were hanging out just the two of them. Then i start trying to figure out how they would interact and again idk how for some reason my brain goes "oh Soul would be really sweet but really awkward if she was pregnant" and then my mind took that thought and ran with it

So anyways now Tsubaki is married to Black Star but they dont tell past!characters that and they have 5-6 kids. I have planned out the disaster of their engagement-bachelor party-wedding festivities as well as their kids' early lives but to explain all that i might as well actually attempt to write a fic (spoiler alert: BS's bachelor party was the most stressful day of Soul's life to date and even tho BS is actually a young dad hes surprisingly really good at it and wants even more kids than Tsubaki does which no one expected INCLUDING ME). Past!characters find out when she runs and throws up in a park/hallway trashcan and when asked if shes okay Soul goes "its just morning sickness" and leads half the characters to (stupidly) believe he's the dad solely because hes not freaking out like the rest of them. Later on they see Soul's contact photo in Tsubaki's phone and its a pic that Maka sent her of Soul with his niece sitting on his shoulders at a amusement park and they're both wearing sunglasses. Do i actually know the real relationship between Soul and Wes? No! I just found the idea of Soul having a niece who adores him and thinks hes the coolest uncle ever which totally chokes him up when he thinks about it too long to be too cute to disregard on the fact i dont know canon.

So anyways Soul Eater IS RUINING ME and if anyone wants more details on the events ive mentioned i will gladly not shut up about it
