Dannng yttd is darker than i thought

Okay first off ima be talking about Your Time To Die chapter 1 and Danganronpa thh + sdr cuz i havent finished anything past that. So spoilers for thise three.

At first when i found out about the game (yttd) i was like

“Sweet, its free and its a murder game similar to danganronpa”

But BOI WAS I KINDA WRONG?

i think what scars me lol is that in danganronpa they have the choice to commit murder or live in peace. They dont need to kill anyone (but yeah i guess the funhouse in SDR was the only exception since they would starve?)

I mean they had proper housing, they were given food, in fact they probably could’ve lived on the island peacefully but of course i get wanting to return to their old lives and find out what happened to their loved ones.

Anyway, when a dr character comits murder and gets caught, well i feel bad yes but at the same time its still their choices that led to their death. They werent really FORCED to kill someone. And its not like they didnt mostly get along as seen in the segments between murders.

In your turn to die, they dont actively make that choice? Idk i mean im only on the first half of the first chaptor sooooo maybe im wrong but

Theyre just forced to vote even when they’ve done nothing wrong? Its so disturbing to me but at the same time i love the concept and game. Im just facinated by the differences and the moral dilemma they both put me through lol.

Infact i was playing through some of it when i was supposed to be sleeping and the jumpscares i guess? Scared the crap outta me and i couldent sleep so ive been awake since yesterday ayeeeeeeeee im sleep deprived! :D the stalker thing friggin got to me man

Also i guess that the cast in yttd are half kids/teens and half adults whereas in danganronpa everyone is a highschool student so technically they’re kids. Actually the second game kinda confuses my point since the sdr cast is actually older but they were put back in their “pre-despair” bodies so meh idk

And then theres that death march club? Game about kindergarteners murdering eachother or something so like i guess danganronpa : another episode but with more kids???? Lol idk anymore im so sleep deprived nothing rlly amkes sense yet everything is so clear rn
