Pmd story outlines.
OKAY. that was mainy a spoiler warning for a certain someone. i cant keep my fucking mouth shut though T_T so, this is my ‘pokepasta’ or just a pokemon story idea! outlines below:
gods i Cant keep it quiet any longer: my idea of a pokepasta(??? i was oringally going to make it a short one but it kinda blew up to a 3 parted thing)/pmd story where over years, human culture has been shared with the pmd world and unfornately makes the pmd world disgusted. Some regions take it better than others, but the place that my story takes place in is the equivalant of redneck territorry i guess, and anti-human propoganda is everywhere-ish.(How would PMD pokemon feel about being kept in little balls to fight at will in the other world without little context? The eating of pokemon? pokemon Trafficking?)
Combined with an eventual realization that they could just....GET a NEW human if they don’t like thier human sent to save the world leads to some...very not so nice things. How long you last will depend on how useful you are.
PART 1: a vulpix appears one day--and lets loose that they’re a human. poor idea--but the reader/player doesn’t know that yet. befriend a pikachu partner and you eventually wear matching pink ribbons as a symbol for your team/friendship. go on missions elsewhere, whatever. realize that the town is shortchanging you and havent been giving you the equipment you needed. Vulpix chocks it up to the town being poorer than they thought, but thier partner knows better. talk with enough npcs, and soon enough the cracks fall through the happy facade.
“What’s wrong with your snout?”
“Stay away from my children.”
“You’re a human, yea? Hope you find that threat soon! For your sake, and ours.”
“Wahhh! Mommy, the scary vulpix is here!”
“I don’t really want you getting affiliated...but I can’t deny a job well done. Take this.”
There will be at least one instance of your partner shouting at a guild member to ‘stop paying us less than other teams!’. It’s implied the only reason you ever get a full reward in late game is becuase of your partner. (side quests still have pokemon cough up the full reward, but begrudingly)
If you know what vulpixes look like in pmd, then you’ll realize that something is subtly off with the vulpix-human. It gets worse as time goes on. At some point (or this may be route exclusive) you get a prespective shift and get to see some very nice body horror on your vulpix protagonist. There’s something off about them, but they don’t realize it themselves. Your vulpix form is akin to a fucked up costume--a mimicry of a shadow. Your snout is just too long, and you look like you should’ve been a ninetails instead. Your eyes dialate too rapidly, you just have one too many teeth and you’re able to learn moves you normally can’t learn in pmd...but that you COULD learn in non-pmd pokemon games. long story short, Your human protagonist-turned vulpix is a fucking FREAK of nature.
There’s no obivous calamity or anything wrong at all either--your ‘major’ villian is this umbreon brat that’s going around town blasting pokemon in the back with shadow balls and running off laughing. Since humans have a reputation to stop disastorous events, this brat may lead you to something bigger, or may bloom into a bigger threat. eventually you reach a considerably more tame climax--you stop him from destroying something major that would have threathened the town. he’s implied to still be out there and depending on how to read things--not even defeated. just set back.
I’m not going to spoil the route endings, or even name them. I will say both ‘main’ routes are plausibly canon.
 PART TWO:
You’re yet another human summoned, this time in a body of a pikachu. Your partner finds you passed out and brings you around town to help you. He mentions that he ‘thought the memory loss’ had stopped popping up a while ago. One of the first things your protagonist does is nearly throw hands with a street vendor who shortchanges you. yay characterization! No one knows you’re a human at this point. There is still something ‘off’ with your human character, but the most of the townsfolk’s stance torwards you is something akin to “damn you’re weird/ haha, poor people.”
This time, there’s this maniac of a umberon running around, and despite his childish attitude and petty behaviors, he shapes up to be capable of genuine threats. It turns out the ‘memory loss’ coming over pokemon was caused by this dickhead using them as target practice for his pokemon moves. Venture out, try and chase him as much as possible. Our protagonist in this part is a lot more pragmatic and cynical--so you can actually just skip the cutscene by straight up attacking the villian. he will always find a way to escape though. However, listen to him fully and he drops some hints that something’s up with the town.
Go around talking to enough pokemon, and you’ll find ‘weird’ reactions. Reactions change if you find a weirdly hidden pink, useless ribbon in some places and keep it in your inventory or wear it. Enough pieces come together and it’s flat out revealed that this is the same ‘villian’ from part one, and that he’s managed to become enough of a threat because the town didn’t consider him one. Talk to enough residents and realize there was a past human, who came in the form of a vulpix. defeat the villian, and he lets loose that the past hero and partner dissapeared...And that he had nothing to do with it. The town promptly shuts him up and throws him into jail.
Secret route can be obtained early, but that’s akin to a “hard mode” and will be forced to extend into post-game. Attempt to confront a truth that you’re not prepared to face this early. This secret route will mainly be obtained post-game, and will act as post-game. Depending on how early you unlock it, character interactions will be different. Early ‘secret’ route will allow you to strike deals with the villian in exchange for information, and by letting the villian escape.  I realy don’t know how much i want to spoil on the secret route but i fucking. love my concept. Let’s just say the narrative attempts to guilt-trip you during the secret route.
You will have to lie. Your enemy may be more genuine than your allies. How far are you willing to go to sate your curiousity?
I won’t say anything about part 3, as it includes too many details on both parts 1 & 2.
Also, just wanna share: for some reason, I heavily associate these songs with parts 1 and 2, despite the lyrics barely applying. Probably cause of it’s tone, and cause i was listening to it when comin up with ideas.
