#i haven't emailed the artist yet about bringing my bf to the appointment so i was thinking of emailing soon and asking both questions

more dumb anxiety today. is it weird if i email my tattoo artist and ask for a rough price estimate? is it weird that i didn't ask for a price estimate when i set up the appointment?

before i booked, i looked up a bunch of local tattoo artists and some of them write their hourly rate publicly, they seemed to range between $120-$200 an hour. i'm assuming my tattoo is gonna take like 3-4 hours? so i was picturing it being like $800 at most??? (i'm referring to CAD btw not USD)

am i like... way fucking off? a reptile youtuber i watch just happened to get a tattoo (this youtuber is also canadian and actually lives in a nearby city).. and he got a tattoo in the same spot, but 1/4 the size, at most. and he said he paid $950. so yeah now i have anxiety that i'm like WAY off in guesstimating the price of my tattoo
