with what happened in american football on monday ive never been more sure that

1. the euros 2020 game between denmark and finland should have been indefinitely postponed after christians cardiac arrest. it was absolutely harrowing for both the teams, family on the side of the pitch and everyone else present in the stadium and for play to be resumed was disrespectful

2. if death or life changing brain and/or spinal injuries are so common in a sport that the sports brutality is a selling point it should not be allowed to continue without a complete overhaul

#number two might sound hypocritical as i am a motorsports fan and ultimately no matter how safe motorsports becomes it #will always be capable of killing someone #not every driver who drives will crash in their career. less will get injuries in the car and even less than that will be seriously/#fatally injured #every player of american football is victim to an uncountable number of head contact/injuries every game #not even counting other injuries #and every autopsy on the brains of players have revealed the same brain injuries that pushed players late in life to die early #and/or cause fatal harm to themselves and family #i have the same opinion on isle of man its a bloodsport plain and simple. 100+ years of history and the two years it WASNT held #are the only ones where nobody died #years where only one person dies are considered a miracle usually over the 3-4 week period there are multiple deaths #its disgusting.
