I don't want to name any names, but I feel like we as a clan have an issue with delegation of labor when it comes to the care of our most vulnerable members. Watching the kits is all well and good, but as the only current queen in the nursery right now, I find myself doing so much repair work for the den walls all by myself. Nominally, our apprentices ought to be doing much of this work, but quite frankly, our 'paws simply don't have the necessary experience to fix the more delicate areas, and I have ended up redoing much of their work myself. This isn't to disparage our apprentices, they've been doing their best, but I have ideas as to how we might better address these issues as a clan.

you ask sakusa to go to the beach with you and he agrees. it's that simple.

had atsumu or hinata witnessed that, they'd likely think you used some sort of black magic on him or a mind control spell. and in a way, you do have him in an — almost supernatural — trance. he's utterly bewitched by you.

so if going to beach is what it took to see even a glimpse of that pretty smile of yours, it was infinitely worth. although, as one may imagine, he's not a big fan of the beach. sand clinging to body, blistering heat beating down on him, limited space packed with sweaty bodies, amateaur volleyball; it's all just very unpleasant.

but he finds a way to deal with it. he rolls out his towel and umbrella, to protect him from the sun, and settles down with a good book. though he's only partially reading it, he's mostly watching you frolic through the water and mess around with the damp sand. you were so playful and fun, it enchanted him. occasionally you'd run back up to where he is to plant a kiss on his cheek or ask him to reapply sunscreen on your back, that was his favourite part.

you understood sakusa's adversity to the ocean — there's definitely some gross stuff in there — but you just loved swimming too much. gliding through the cool water, the seaweed tickling your skin and waves crashing gently against you. it's a once-in-a-year experience that you had to enjoy, but if sakusa didn't want to do it with you, that was alright, it was already sweet enough that he agreed to come with you. although he never outright said he didn't want to swim, you got that impression from the fact he was wearing an unbuttoned white shirt and matching trousers.

eventually, the sun began to cast an orange glow as it slowly set over the horizon, and many people had packed their things and left by now, so you figure it's about time you and sakusa do the same. as you're walking back towards him, you feel your ring slip off your finger a bit, but you promptly push it back on.

that is, until you have an idea.

a harmless prank, really. you take your ring off and slip it under the material of your top, then you rush over to sakusa with a frantic expression, to which he looks up with immediate concern.

" 'omi! i think i lost my ring in the ocean and i'm not sure what to do! i swear i had it on me when i came over here the las—"

sakusa hastily places his book down and stands up, resting a hand upon your wet shoulder and quickly interjecting, "don't worry, (y/n). we'll find it."

you nod while clutching your hand, your look downwards, which he assumes is out of shame but really you are trying to hide the evil smirk creeping onto your face.

"do you think it may be in the sand?" he asks, collecting the towel off of the ground to wrap up your poor, trembling figure.

you shake your head, "no, it probably slipped off while i was swimming."

sakusa sighs out of his nose. that is exactly what he didn't want to hear. "alright, honey." without another word, he relucantly starts making his way over to the shore, with you following suit.

just as he reaches it, he bites his lip, standing right before where the sea meets the sand, watching intently as the water spills forward against his toes. you stand behind him, snug in the towel, and prompt, "are we gonna look?"

he looks at you over his shoulder, with a dull glint in his eyes. the ocean is just so disgusting, filled with all sorts of creatures, and he loathed getting wet, it was such an annoyance. but seeing your sweet face, knowing your longing for something, what kind of husband would he be if he didn't at least try to help? he'd do anything to stop you from being sad. though he did momentarily consider perhaps just buying another ring.

without any further delay, sakusa puffed out his chest and rolled up his trousers to his knees and hesitantly stepped into the ocean, cringing at the feeling of sand between his toes. the contaminated water making contact with his pristine white trousers also killed him a little, but it's all worth it for you, to see that smile.

speaking off which, once he was knees-deep, he turned around to look and furrowed his brows when he noticed you hadn't entered yet, "(y/n). aren't you going to look with me?"

you shake your head, wearing a cheesy grin on your face that only confuses him more. "it's okay, kiyoomi. i was only kidding about my ring being lost. look, here it is." you pull it out from it's hiding place and slip it back onto your finger, "i just wanted to see if you would get into the water and help me look for it."

sakusa sighed, again. ususally something like this would piss him off, but you only amused him. "of course i would, (y/n). i'd do anything for you, i thought you knew that."

you blush a tad at your husband's kind words, then motion for him to come out of the water. "you're the best, omi. but you can get out of the water now."

he blinks, looking down at his feet sunk into the sand, "this isn't as bad as i thought. maybe next time we c—"

"no, seriously, omi, get out!—" you try to leap forward and grab his hand to pull him out but it's too late. the big wave you had seen rushing towards you came with such speed and ferocity that it knocked sakusa right off his feet, leading to him falling back into the water.

thankfully, you are able to grab his arm in time to help him upright again, so he isn't submerged for too long. and although some may say you just saved his life, he doesn't look awfully impressed with you after he gasps for air and wipes the salt water away from his eyes, with a single seaweed draped over his shoulder like a very ugly shawl.

fully soaked now, he grits, "let's just go."

rather unbothered by the tide, considering you were already wet from swimming, you nod sympathetically and lock arms with your boyfriend, guiding him back to your stuff while trying your best not to burst out laughing, "good idea."

he huffs and tosses a strand of dripping hair away from his face, "seems like i'm the only one who has those anymore."

"you've been spending too much time with atsumu. his attitude has really rubbed off on you." you titter, gathering all your stuff, "or maybe that wave knocked all the sense out of you."

"that might be true. the ocean does make people stupider, clearly." sakusa raises his eyebrows, watching you take all the stuff while stands with his arms crossed.

"oh wow, maybe i should've left you out there for longer. maybe instead of my ring, you could've found yourself some manners." you throw the blanket at him, since he isn't holding anything, which he catches frantically.

"you're ring wasn't even there to begin with." he turns around to look at the ocean, catch off-guard by how gorgeous it look in the sunset.

"and neither were your manners!" you retort, glancing at him to see his reaction, only to find him staring off into the distance. you follow his gaze and gasp slightly at the ethereal sight.

it's sobering, watching the golden sun lower over the ocean, casting a hue pink and orange over the sparkling water. the perfect end to the perfect day. it made you wonder if you'd ever see something so beautiful ever again, though that's not a thought you shared with sakusa, as he knew he'd wake up next to you tomorrow.

he gulped and turned to you, and you beamed at him, instantly leaping into his arms. he stumbled a little but quickly found his balance and held you against him, close.

"thank you for coming with me today, 'omi. i had so much fun."

he smiled against your damp hair, and kisses your jaw, "you don't need to thank me. going anywhere with you is always my pleasure." his hands run down your arm until they find yours, and they graze the back of your fingers, brushing over your glittering ring, "because you're the best thing that's ever happened to me."

i feel like. he's only willing to say something if he kinda thinks you might be into him, too. if there's been no indication that you see him as anything other than a friend, he's taking that shit to the grave. god, i imagine that rejection must be so difficult for this man; after always being second-best to deku and everything with all might and now edgeshot, he is probably just teeming with feelings of never being good enough and he's probably horrified that this will happen again, with you, and he is just. a wreck 😭

the first thing that comes to mind is that he's angry about it LOL and i hate to make it seem like i'm dulling him down to that, but i think he's most comfortable being aggressive, because that's the way he was for so long, and it's just how he's used to processing his emotions outwardly, if that makes sense. so he probably has some idea that there is a lil' something going on between you two and he's probably like. do i really have to say this why haven't you figured it out already you think i look at just anyone like this. i think he will say everything he possibly can—except the actual words LOL the emotional charades with this guy is like. unreal.

(he only ever goes out for drinks with everyone because of you. because you always make a point to sit by him and you laugh and put a hand on his arm and sometimes you'll look at him while everyone is talking and he'll look at you and he thinks i've gotta figure this shit out because he can't stand it anymore.

and then when it's time to leave, he's leading to his car so that he can drive you home, like he always does, but for some reason, this time, you're being a brat about it.

"no, bakugou, seriously," you laugh at the frown on his face—but you're not stepping any closer to his car so it deepens. "i'm going to start owing you gas money at this point, you take me home every time."

it probably shouldn't offend him as much as it does, but like hell he's gonna take money from you, especially when having you in his passenger seat means twenty extra minutes of time. will give him the chance to remember the order of words in the script he's practiced over and over.

but now you're saying no.

bakugou huffs, averting his eyes to a crack in the sidewalk so this image doesn't sear into the front of his brain. "'f you don't wanna, that's all you gotta fuckin' say."

"no," the pitch in your voice has his attention back to you, the playful pout on your lips. "that's not it, of course i want to." and his eyes must go a little wide because you grin, up to no good. "i love riding with you."

and—okay. he's been thinking about this a lot, every time he knows he'll be spending any amount of time with you; how is he going to direct the conversation, so that he can spit it out already? and, what do you know, he doesn't even have to, because you've brought yourself right here, directly at the precipice, exactly where he needs to be to tell you—

"well," he shrugs, grumbling, "why do y'think i offer?"

there's this little glimmer in your eyes at that, and your soft expression curves into something you have trouble keeping a hold on, but you clasp your hands together behind your back and take slow steps closer, too close, until you're close enough to probably feel the heat coming off in waves from his fucking face.

"i don't know," you shrug, too, batting your eyelashes like you haven't got a clue in the world what he's getting at. what he's been getting at for months. "why do you offer?"

"it ain't 'cause i want your damn money!"

"no," you put a finger on your chin, exaggerating. "i'm almost sure that was it."

and he seethes at that, you little shit, and juts his chin out and balls his hands into fists because he can't believe you're gonna make him spell this out. "i ain't gonna say this twice."

a shock of laughter spills from you, lighting up your face in a way that has his stomach twisting. "you haven't even said it once!" you close whatever distance there might have been, tugging at the lapels of his coat, dropping your voice low and meant just for him. "c'mon bakugou, you can tell me. secrets don't make friends."

"were not friends," he finally—finally—grits, ears hot, probably steaming in the cold weather. there's a stretch of silence as you smile up at him, all victorious, and it runs so long that he starts to worry he's being too much of an ass, or has put his foot in his mouth. "'least, i didn't—to me—"

"no, bakugou," you agree, soothing his worries as you lean up to press the ice-cold tip of your nose to his. "we're not just friends.")

but also !! 🥺 the thought of him actually deciding to tell you is like !!! okay. i, like many of us, absolutely love the idea of him being a secret, big fat shoujo fan. i think that he reads these romance stories and gets all butterflies in his stomach and really enjoys them, honestly, because he is interested in how open some people can be with one another. it intrigues him, has him wanting that, too.

so i picture him as a huge romantic that is just so terrible about execution LOL he'll have a whole plan for what he's gonna say and what he's gonna wear and where it's gonna be and the flowers he's gonna have and xyz BUT he's such a perfectionist that if even one thing is off, he's out. bailing. saving it for another day because this one is ruined PFFTT. and he probably makes excuses for himself, too, like maybe the mood is right and he has his chance but he just gets too choked up, just thinking about what he wants to say. his nerves eat away at him too much and so he calls the day a bust and moves on.

but then the time comes when he just cannot take it anymore. he's someone that has a lot of self-control, and when it comes to romance and like being nervous, i think he's probably able to hold out for a very long time LOL until he's just at his freaking wit's end with himself for dragging his feet when you are what he wants so bad. and so he just has to get over himself.

(it's just the two of you after hours in the support lab, making small adjustments to his gauntlets. and it starts out just fine, because he's enjoying his alone time with you and how stupid-cute you look when focusing so hard and there's not much conversation being shared, because you're working, and bakugou is okay with that because he's not good with his words, anyway.

and then you do something so simple; wiping a hand against your nose, unknowingly staining it with grease, before holding your open palm out to him.

"can you pass me that socket wrench, please?"

there's really no telling what exactly it is in that moment. maybe that you look so invested in what you're doing, enjoying your passions. maybe it's how comfortable the whole setting feels, the kind of thing he can imagine doing with you for the rest of—forever. or maybe it's just the sleepy way you blink at him, a little worn out from the day, before sending him a smile that has his chest hurting.

so instead of handing you anything, he just says: "you drive me fuckin' crazy."

a spark of life flashes in your eyes, fatigue fading away with your surprise. "uh, what?" and—he could have said that better because now you're nervous and you give him an awkward little laugh. "what did i do? were you using it?"

"no, dumbass, you just—" bakugou sighs, dropping the tools from his own hands to run one over his face. none of this was part of his carefully concocted plan, but he's just suddenly overwhelmed, by you, and if he doesn't get it off his chest, right now, he's going to implode. "i'm gonna walk out of here and go home and—" he pauses to gnaw on his lip, trying in vain to think of any of the words he'd ever planned out for this. "you're gonna be the only damn thing on my mind."

"oh," you breathe, quiet, though he's sure you're able to hear how hard his heart is pounding. hard enough to cause him a little unease. "me? what about me?"

"fuckin'—everything." he frowns, and he's typically not one to back down from a little eye-contact, but you lean forward at other end of the workbench, attention all his, and—he's suddenly very interested in the control panel on the table in front of him. "your—everything."

"well i have to be honest," you look down at your hands and your little jumpsuit, brushing stray hairs from out of your face. "this is hardly the version of myself i want you thinkin' about."

and there's something about hearing you say it that makes him fucking embarrassed all over, so he just curls a little further into himself, eyes glued to his work. "don't matter," he grunts, flushed down to his neck. "look just fine t'me."

you laugh at that, and when he looks up at you, you're gnawing on your own lip and your eyes are jumping all over the lab, like you can't stand the eye-contact either, like you're feeling just as fevered as him.

like maybe he doesn't leave your mind, either.)

and there is a small part of me that thinks he has to make his feelings known in a physical way—as in, still with his mouth but not with his words LOL because even though i think he can be a little wary of intimacy, especially with someone he's not actively dating, he's such a physical person that he just has to do something with his hands at some point.

(he finds you in the back corner, at the copy machine. only reason he came back here was to shove some old reports into the shredder, be done with them so he could finally go home for the day, but—now you're standing up from how you'd been leaning over the machine and looking at him with big eyes and a smile and, well, he's not in all that much of a rush, anyway.

bakugou is shit at making small talk, but you're much better at it, thankfully. can talk forever just like goddamn deku, though he's much more inclined to listen to whatever you'll prattle on about, even if it's just the weather or whatever else you need to do for mina today or—

"—and so now i have to make all these flyers." you shrug and stick your tongue out, like it's a bother even though he knows it isn't. "not anything fun i'm copying, unfortunately. not like—" a little beep sounds as your pages finish printing and you grab them and set them straight, laughing a little as you glance up at him. "not like—do you remember when all might fought that villain xerox? and there were all these photocopies of his face squished against the glass?" for emphasis, you press your hands to your cheeks, pushing them together until your lips pucker—and then you laugh some more, like you're just so goddamn funny. "i don't know if you ever read that one, i think that issue came out when he was in the states or—"

and—he really doesn't consider himself this kinda guy, some casanova or what-have-you, but in one step, he's grabbing one of your wrists to hold you still and slipping the other around your neck and just crashing his mouth onto yours.

and he really does not consider himself this kinda guy, because it's clumsy and probably a little too firm and it's quite literally just lips on lips, because he's not that smooth. there's a very brief, clouded moment of euphoria at the fact that he's finally done it, with his heart fluttering in his chest, and then he's suddenly all to aware that he's probably going to catch a sexual harassment charge from this.

but when he yanks back from you, you're looking at him with the same surprise on your face, though you're still comfortable with his hands on you.

in fact, you even very slowly tug your wrist from his, tracing your fingers over his skin before you run them up his arm, up to dig into the hair at the back of his neck.

you don't kiss him again—not yet—but you laugh some more and nod. "so i take it you have read that one, then?"

"uh, yeah," he clears his throat, wondering if you can feel how hot he's become. "i have."

"it's a pretty good issue, i think."

"yeah," he murmurs, giving in to the tug of your hand, until he's leaning back down into your space. "'s'not too bad.")

8. What song would make a great fic (to either write or read)?

ooooo as a music nerd i love this question and i apologize for how longwinded my answer is XD i don't do many songfics or much song-related writing [*shoves the title of two fights for freedom under the rug*] but i do have a ton of playlists and songs that make me think of specific characters or fics. to answer this question, i'll just pick one called "Fever Dream" by Dirt Poor Robins. specifically the part starting just after the 4:00 minute mark. the lyrics make me go INSANE with this idea for a dark/horror dq bros fic where doflamingo realizes that corazon is just a false identity and he can't do anything to get his brother back and it drives him even more insane. these lyrics make me crazy Now here comes the liar (lion) Clawing at your door Drunk on the blood of your brother And he's back for more (apparently the lyric is actually "lion" rather than "liar", but i hear "liar" so therefore i declare it is "liar" for the sake of my own brainrot) imagine a fic where rosinante is the one psychologically tormenting doflamingo!! unsure if i'll ever get around to writing it, but it'd probably have a similar vibe to blood gone sour.

i usually do a nightly prowl under the one piece fandom on ao3 and either filter by most recent fics with rosinante or bell-mere. otherwise i read recs that are bumped on discord servers, or stories friends write! i'm actually terrible at reading tho i don't read nearly enough. when i have free time, i usually use it to create.

10. How do you decide what to write?

excellent question. i make a list of priorities. sometimes it's disorganized lists on my phone, sometimes i use calendars. first and foremost are things with due dates, so zine work, or gifts for exchanges, birthdays or holidays. next i prioritize stories that are works in progress, but already posted on ao3. i hate having incomplete works posted on ao3, so i strive to get them wrapped up asap. then it's a rabid thunderdome of all my other wips and ideas all wrestling for victory for who gets to be created XD i'm constantly bursting with ideas i never get to work on, unfortunately.

37. Promote one of your own “deep cut” fics (an underrated one, or one that never got as much traction as you think it deserves!). What do you like about it?

i'm gonna go ahead and promote spitfire and ice because i busted my ass on this for the crackpair event and i was actually really happy with the result? i was assigned makino x kuzan, so i threw bell-mere in there too just to shake things up, and then i fell madly in love with bell-mere x makino and their flirty banter. it captured my heart in a way i was NOT expecting. i guess the tags aren't particularly interesting to most, so it's relatively unknown with only 4 kudos and 31 hits. but look at this!! “Hey, I’ve gotta ask you something.” She leaned over the counter once Makino settled herself and refilled the pitcher for the next round. “Would I still be wanted here…after hours?” With a tight smile, Makino rested her hands over the tabletop. “We’re closed for customers after hours. I need some time to tidy up the place.” “Right, right…” Pretty gray eyes wandered. “But in this situation, I wouldn’t be a customer.” With an amused chuckle, Makino folded her arms over her stomach. “What do you want me to say, Miss Bell-mère? Do you want me to welcome you to my private quarters upstairs?” That exposed chest filled with air. “I wouldn’t be against an invitation.” smh. well, at least i'm proud of it!

The thing is, if it's in a different script to the language you're writing in (for example, English and Japanese), there's not a way for the reader to read it, yk? And idk if there's a way to organically integrate a translation. Even if your reader isn't supposed to know what they're saying, what's the point in including the dialogue in the first place? You can just say they said something in Japanese. Unless it's assumed your reader knows the other language, then it adds some dramatic irony. Ofc, there's gonna be ways you can fit it in well since each situation is different, but I wouldn't add it explicitly in quotations, per se. This is coming from a semi-bilingual language nerd semi-studying to be an editor (aka, don't take it to heart bc I'm not a professional)

Just bc Sam's a bad person doesn't mean this whole blog's at fault, and when I explained how Sam was a liar about a bunch of things, Club was quick to understand then cut ties with him. However, before then, it was hard to understand what exactly was going on, especially bc at that time SAM was the one manipulating me (He still tries to of course, but no longer succeeds.) and made me believe I was at fault, so because of that I tried reassuring Club that Sam wasn't bad. Before he manipulated me, I already had a hunch he was a bad person, and warned Club about it. I was basically very confused about Sam back then, and this caused Club to get confused. I should've thought rationally about the whole thing to give Club a proper warning without any confusion, so it's not his fault. However now he does know Sam is terrible. (Especially considering the fact Sam lashed out at Club and falsely accused him of stealing his Discord mod thingy or whatever.) Club would never be friends with Sam if he was properly aware of what kind of person he is and what he's done.

That anon is nothing but a coward and a dick; I’ll bet good money they’re either trying to combat their own insecurities, or their only form of emotional fulfillment is putting others down. Or both. It’s fucking sad. They also don’t seem to know that talent and skill are different things. They overlap, yeah, but talent is latent while skill is developed. Writers never stop honing their skill, turning any natural talent they may have into a fine edge through practice.

Which is exactly what you do whenever you write.

Anon wants to make implications about how talented they are? Anyone that brags like that usually has a dull-edged “skill,” with no ability to learn or grow or accept feedback. The very fact that you continually engage with your readers and talk about and encourage expansion on your ideas just proves my point.

You’re growing your skill by constantly working at it. All writers are forever a work in progress, that’s just the nature of art. And there’s never, ever anything shameful about it.

during their senior year, pope gets accepted to a college and jj is so happy for him. but he can't help but feel a lil upset bc pope's gonna be living in a dorm and jj cant go w him

Despite never having been an older brother figure once he is surprisingly good at it. He never overstep any boundaries. Goes out of his way to help you when he sees you struggling with something. Very sweet boy.

You will never forget to do anything on the bright side of things, but this comes at the price of him nagging you to do things all the time. He definitely does this because he wants what's best for you and wants to see you succeed, but due to his life experiences he doesn’t know how to convey that in a healthy manner.

If your tie isn’t tied properly he’ll definitely fuss over you and fix it for you, and maybe lightly scold you and remind you how important appearances are and how you should maintain them. If a hair is out of place he’ll tuck it behind your ear or he’d redo your hairstyle to fix it.

Now if you get into trouble and he’s the one to scold you and have to face the consequences of your actions the odds are that he’ll scold you but almost never collar you or completely lose his temper at you.

Now if you're ever upset he’ll have no idea how to help, he’s not good at handling his own emotions let alone anyone else’s. He’ll try his best, get you a cup of tea, maybe offer you a hug. But ugh that's it buddy.

In front of figures of authorities or adults y’all sweet little angels, y’all would never do anything wrong. But the second no one is looking, y’all being naughty. Opening Christmas presents and rewrapping them. Maybe stealing a lost 5 dollars to buy candy. Eating tarts when no one is looking. You name it.

Blaming the damages on the ‘pets’ aka Ace and deuce and riddle assuming Trey would never, EVER, lie to his face. What a shame smh.

Trey is someone that you go to for advice and someone who gives good advice, or at least he tries to. Often gives you a good perspective on matters that you probably wouldn’t have seen by yourself.

Though he’s busy he always makes sure to check in with you and make sure your doing well, and when you're struggling with school work he’ll tell you to take a break and have some tea before going back to the grind.

Cater

What can I say? You're just his little pogchamp, buddy. He thrives off of being the older sibling figure for once and he embraces it wholeheartedly.

A lot of hanging out and relaxing. He’ll paint your nails and gossip with you, and he even gives you lots of practical life advice while he’s at it.

A lot of self-care / me time I feel like is a shared time between the two of you. Like you do your skincare routines together. Help each other with your makeup or hair and make sure that you guys are feeling your best selves. A lot of this is done with you both singing along to your guy's favorite songs.

Definitely, the sibling figure you bring your crush to see if they pass the “test”. The sibling that interrogates them and makes sure that your crush should never ever hurt you. Not even a little bit.

Cold - Technoblade

Hello - this is my first post so if you see this follow me because I crave human validation 😎👍

I originally posted this on wattpad but nobody was interacting so I’m posting it here :)

Summary: Y/n is injured and caught out in a snow storm - will anyone reach them in time?

The snow stung against y/n's skin, they were starting to become numb all over from a combination of blood loss and the cold. They had been trekking along since the end of the war in L'manburg; which wasn't ideal seeing as they had been pierced by a piece of debris from the explosion.

The shock of Wilbur and Techno's betrayal stung more than the physical pain itself - they needed to get away, have a fresh start. They didn't tell anyone they were leaving and they doubted anyone had even noticed. Y/n had no clue where they were going and had had the misfortune of ending up in the snow.

The cold was really starting to have an effect on their body, their skin had a waxy look to it and they were shaking like a leaf due to the lack of a jacket - again, another big mistake on their part. If they didn't find anywhere dry and warm soon they feared that they would either bleed out or freeze to death - neither of which were very nice options. Their crisp white shirt was soaked through with crimson, they weakly tried pressing their hands up against the wound only for them to come away slick with blood.

As they pushed themselves up from the ground a spark of pain shot through their body causing them to sink even deeper into the snow; on second thoughts, maybe a nap wouldn't be so bad - the snow was nice and comfy after all. They curled up and slowly lost consciousness.

Techno continued on his horse Carl, searching for his home that had secretly been in the works for months, it was hidden far away from L'manburg - he doubted that they wanted to see him after the little stunt that him and Wilbur had pulled. It was located by a village in a snowy land that he had just entered; he pulled his large cloak closer to him, it was thick and kept him warm even during the harshest winters.

He was starting to approach the forest near his home when he saw a small pink stain to his right, thinking it could be an animals print he approached. He jumped off of Carl and peered down at it - it looked to be a footprint, but nobody knew where he lived. That wasn't right.

He peered up to see more going up over a snow mound, he followed the trail to see them getting crisper and darker, they eventually joined together to make a continuous line of blood - these were clearly fresh, but the question was, who or what had caused them?

He made it to the top of the mound and looked down to see the trail lead to a large crimson stain against the fresh snow. He picked up speed and saw a mop of (hair length and colour) hair - he recognised that, it was y/n. What on earth where they doing out here?

He ran towards them in a state of panic - how long had they been here?! He fell to his knees beside them and flipped them onto their back. Their skin had a greyish-blue tint to it and frost had formed on their eyebrows and lashes. He unclasped his cloak and went to scoop them up when he was suddenly hit by the severity of the situation - they were bleeding out fast, like REALLY fast. He pushed his hands against the wound; even their blood was ice cold. He felt something nudging his shoulder and whipped around to see Carl by his side.

He weighed out his options and carefully wrapped them up in his cloak, the deep red a stark contrast to the fresh snow. He sat atop of Carl and rode into the forest with them in his arms. The silence was all of a sudden eerie and crushing compared to the peace he felt from it earlier. The trees sped past him in a blur and he finally made it to his quaint wooden cottage, he tumbled to the ground in a panic and dismounted y/n from his noble steed.

Y/n lay there in the snow: it seemed more solid than before, and warmer, and- where were they? This definitely wasn't how they remembered it, the cold was no longer wrapping its death grip fingers around them, they no longer felt stinging on their front - infact they felt pressure wrapping round their middle.

They forced their eyes open slowly, that really did not help with the pounding in their skull. They gazed around the room, they could faintly make out a shape in the corner - it looked to be a rapier, they weren't interested in getting on this persons bad side. They didn't know where they were and were starting to panic - who had done this?

They could make out the faint shape of bandages by their waist, unfortunately their shirt was still stained - whoever had done this couldn't have even cleaned their shirt or something smh. Pick a struggle.

They pulled the blanket closer to them, it was very comfortable; it was quite heavy and had a fur trim around the edge almost like Techno's--

Nononono- they couldn't be here. He had betrayed everyone. They had trusted him - to some extent anyways. They sat up abruptly - not smart. They let out a gasp of pain, the dark threatened to consume their vision. They placed a hand on the edge of the mattress to steady themself. After much trial and error they managed to sit upright.

They calmed themselves enough to take another look around the room. There were a few worn maps on the walls showing L'manburg and its surrounding areas - their heart ached at the sight of the familiar structures; party island, the podium, the various towers dotted all over the land - all gone, all blown up.

There was a small fire illuminating the dark room, and also the mass on the floor. Their blood ran cold - colder than it already was anyways - y/n had hoped for some time to leave before he got back. Luckily he was asleep on the floor and was a relatively deep sleeper. They slowly but surely pushed themselves up from the bed and wobbled towards the door, leaning on the walls for support. This was perfect, they would be able to make it away before he even woke up!

"What are you doing?"

Ah- turns out he wasn't a deep sleeper, that was a fatal flaw in the plan.

They slowly turned around to see a sleepy but amused Technoblade stood in the middle of the room staring at them.

"Uhh- I was going on a walk." 👀🤠

"Is that so?"

....

"Yup."

They started aggressively coughing, the speaking hurting their cold and sore throat.

"Get back in bed, you need to rest," >:(

"I'm fine, I don't need to rest - resting is for the weak."

"Everyone has to rest, even I rest."

"That's because your weak."

He stared them in the eyes, looking thoroughly unimpressed.

👁👄👁

"Are you sure about that?"

"Yeh."

"Get in bed."

"No."

"Yes."

It went on like this until he started to walk towards them - slightly pissed off. He picked them up and placed them onto the bed.

"I don't need to rest!"

As soon as they said that, coughs wracked their body.

"You sure about that?"

They quickly tried to sit up to run off while his guard was down - but he pushed them back down as soon as they attempted anything. He held their arms down so that they couldn't escape, they tried wriggling free but to no avail. They quickly gave up.

"As much as I want you to rest right now, it's freaking me out that I can hold you down this easily."

"What are you talking about- I'm" their sentence was interrupted by more coughing "-super -strong"

He gave them a skeptical look not buying a word of their bullshit.

"I'm gonna go get you some water for that cough, you stay right here - okay?"

They nodded.

He walked off and climbed down the ladder.

They crawled out of the bed, ignoring his very clear rules and made their way over to the map of L'manburg on the wall. They stroked the coarse paper littered with so many of their favourite places - the forest where they liked to make flower crowns for everyone, the cliff top where they could think about life and how it's so very meaningless. 😶

Y/n sunk to the floor; tears threatening to spill from their eyes. It was so unfair, a beautiful nation destroyed by power hungry people. They had no idea whether Wilbur was still alive, they never saw him after the explosion. They missed him, they missed the land before the government - where they would all dance to Wilbur's songs around the campfire speaking nothing of governments and laws.

"Y/n?"

Techno walked up behind them and hesitantly placed a hand on their back, not knowing what to do because, social situations are awkward dude - am i right?

"You good?"

They whipped around slamming their fist into his chest in a futile attempt to hurt him,

"It's all your fault!" They said through tears, "We trusted you!"

He took their fists in his hands, staying silent while they had their tantrum. They soon grew tired; slumping into his chest, staining his shirt with their tears. They stayed their for a while, his embrace warm but his attitude still cold.

This is why she joined the music club to help with her stage fright while doing what she loves

So she can't stand it when others just assume things just for the sake of what they think is right or what happened. This is why she's also focused on seeing the other side of a problem/argument.

I have absolutely no fucking idea why Yams decided to treat Hanjo like shit. You know, after a long time of denying her death, I was starting to accept it, because she was finally free, free of the burden and pain and finally reunited with the people she missed and longed for the most. But then Yams decided to slap us all in the faces saying there's no happy & peaceful afterlife in snk and Hanjo was probs only hallucinating because of her 4 years long depression? Well then, fuck you Yams! What was that even for? Isayama never backed off of showing us the horrors of death in snk, no matter how important the characters and how brutal their deaths really were. Still, he never showed us Hanji's actual death or dead body. He kept it misterious and his vague answers only made it worse. So it's only natural for us to expect a plot twist, right? That's the reason all of us gathered various hints in the manga, anime and his interviews. And lemme tell you, these theories are far more logical, better explained and have less plot holes than the entire final arc smh (yes I'm salty, fight me lol)

I hate to admit it, my inner self is still in denial and fighting, but Hanjo ain't coming back folks. We won't get any background story and the misterious shard will never be explained to us either. Yams had more than enough time to bring Hanjo back, if he truly wanted to. But he didn't. And now with only one chapter and so many unanswered questions left, there's no time for Hange's return. Why would he even do that anyways? Hanjo isn't important to him or to the story anymore. To us she is, always was and always will be ❤️ You know, I'm so fucking desperate to see her again, I'll even take one last panel of Levi remembering her, just like in ch136. Yams just let us see Hanjo one more fucking time 🙏🏻 I need to say my proper goodbyes to my one&only comfort character, who's influenced my life like no one else ever did ❤️

Back to Levihan (I don't think I can answer an ask without my biased and trashy shipper ass butting in lmfao): the question why Yams confirmed Levihan as canon if he didn't intend to bring Hange back and reunite her with Levi to make us him happy again? Well, isn't it obvious? This man is the devil incarnate. THIS MAN HAS NO FUCKING CHILLS lmfao JK y'all before someone declares war on me and my blog haha Well anonie, I feel like Yams really wanted to confirm his initially planned ships as canon, before the manga ends. And he chose the safest way possible. Easy as that. Also he said he is going for a bittersweet ending and what's more tragic (in this literal hell) than separating lovers, ergo Eremika and Levihan.

Now to something else, that's been bothering me for a while now and I'll use your ask anonie to share my thoughts with the world even though nobody asked lmao tbh I'm a bit disappointed with Armin. I love him, I really do. He's my precious cinnamon roll and my fave 104th kiddo. But honestly, I was expecting a bit more of the alleged "hero who will safe humanity". In fact, I'm sure Hanjo only died for Armin to become the new commander. That's it. That was the reason she had to die. Yams glossed over her to make Armin shine. But in fact, Levi's the one who's giving orders ever since Hange has left them. I might me salty, but I really hope the talk with Zeke (and probs Ymir as well, we still might have a chance to see the dialog that made Ymir change her mind) and his titan nuke weren't the only things he did as "humanity's hero" in this final arc. For some people this might me enough, for me it isn't. It wasn't worth Hange's sacrifice. Also what made me really sad was Armin himself glossing over Hanjo when he remembered Erwin Danchou, but not her. Like she didn't just pass away an hour ago to save their pathetic asses. Ugh this is making me hella mad, ngl. Hanjo didn't deserve this treatment! She gave her all for this! To save the alliance, to "pay the price" for her "sins" as the SC commander and to save humanity. I can't deal with how all of them and the fandom apparently forgot about that.

Now on to "Kiyomi's kindness" lol I wasn't really mad at Gabi for saying this as most of the fandom was. I won't go into detail why she isn't really a rationally thinking character (yo guys, you do remember she's a 12 year old kid, right?), but it's a fact that she didn't care for Hange enough to mention her. I mean, why would she? She barely even knew her. Also we don't really know what's gonna happen with Yelena, Kiyomi and her delegation. I don't know if I'm reading too much into it, but I feel like Kiyomi accepted her death with saying "that's not enough atonement for what I did anyway". I mean they don't know if the alliance will win (they probably think they won't) and they're in the middle of literally nowhere. So I feel like Gabi said that because Kiyomi sacrificed herself (and the others on that ship) willingly, for Gabi, Falco and Annie getting a little chance of surviving and helping the alliance. But I get the rage of the fandom. Especially because no one, except for Levi, remembered Hange after her noble sacrifice.

As for Yelena and Onyankopon, there obviously has to be someone from outside of Paradis to survive the rumbling, otherwise it wouldn't make a lot of sense, I guess. I like Onyankopon a hecking lot ❤️ precious boi was literally crying for Hanjo 😭 Yelena on the other hand deserves what she got. Death would be too easy and kind for her tbh. She has to live with the consequences, just like Kiyomi, so I'm actually glad they survived. So my guess is, it's not really about who's Yams' favorite and what these people are contributing to the story, but it's rather about a logical ending and a good conclusion of the story.

I agree with you about the ones who have been titanized. They'll for sure revert back to humans. It's not really Yams' style to kill of an important character like Gabi, whose character development he's been forcing on us for quite a while now lol. I'm pretty positive about an ending with the titan curse being broken and bringing the titanized people back to human beings (probs also the millions of colossal titans?). It's only natural for Yams to end the story with the titan curse being lifted. Otherwise it wouldn't make sense to end his story at this point. But let's not forget what a big ass troll Yams is lmao you never really know what he's up to, so let's prepare for the unimaginable lmfao

I'll probably never forgive Isayama for what he did to Hange, his best written character, how he completely ruined her and threw her away as disposable, just to make other characters "shine". HER DEATH WAS POINTLESS AND IT DID NOT FUCKING CHANGE ANYTHING! That's the harsh truth y'all. Yams betrayed Hanjo and us AND FOR WHAT?

Also, he doesn't really get that annoyed if some kids from his class ask him to teach them how to draw

I have a headcanon that Kaori have a journal and does journaling so that’s prolly the reason why her drawings are cute af

But honestly, her drawings sometimes depends on her mood,

If she’s mad or frustrated, her drawing would look kinda rough and not that cute anymore

If she’s feeling happy tho, It’ll look so nice and cuddly does that even make any sense

He’s from class 7 AND I really think that he’ll be good at drawing

Well, he can draw a few things but he struggles drawing other things he never accustomed to

But!

Oomimi is that kid who’s good at drawing scenery

He knows basic color palettes and which is cold and hot colors

So the scenery drawing would always look good

He get a lot of compliments for the drawing (50% of it from Akagi)

I think he doesn’t have that many time to relax and draw freely but when he does have it, it’ll just be small and simple doodles

um, let’s go with 8/10 <3

Aran

I truly believe that Aran can draw peoples face but in a pretty decent amount

He’s also good with anatomy teach me your ways king

But as much as he’s good at that, he kinda sucks at drawing any kind of background drawings

Mans can’t draw a scenery I’m telling you

As if the background doesn’t even exist in his mind lolol I’m sorry Aran lovers, I didn’t mean that in a bad way

Mainly uses copic markers to color and color pencils to shade

The first time he use the copic marker, he got really frustrated that the marker stain the other pages lmao

And he never uses digital drawing applications or softwares

Aran just doesn’t

I think I’ll rate him, 8.5/10

Kita

Okay, I know that Kita’s a top student and never fails in anything

But he’s not typically a good drawer that much

His drawing still got good marks but when you look at it, it just looks normal

I just know that the Kita lovers gonna get me after this

It’s not that bad and not that good, just a nice balance in between

I personally think Kita’s not that godly in drawing but rather a neutral drawer

He draw what he can and does shading and coloring when it’s needed

The colors are all basic colors, no pastel, no neon

And the shadings are pretty basic

Just a normal drawer here

Behind The Scene of Love At First Legend

A/N: I thought I need to tell you guys how exactly was Lafl made and i need to rant this out so uh....here we go! Contain SPOILER obviously so i don't recommend you reading this before you finish reading Lafl. But with that outta the way, here we go!

Before the making of it

Truthfully speaking, I didn't actually plan it out to be a shiggy x reader. So here's the thing, i wanted to do a smau and I only had thought of the title and the acronym and what it's about (aka shoto is a ghost enthusiast and wanted to share his knowledge of legend with y/n) I was literally STUCK on who to make this smau for. The main trio is obviously not a choice since they're friends of Y/N. At first i thought, well, maybe Kirishima? I even already MADE banners using him 😭😭😭 but then my smartass brain thought, hey, why don't we make it to have angst where the guy accidentally lashed out at her because he's afraid of her knowing about his feelings and then the trio (mainly katsuki) comforted her and told her that it was because of her that their friendship is still going (as shown in part 17)

But then i was like, NO! If we're using Kirishima, we can't use that idea! He's a precious sweetheart and he's not the type to lash out to someone he likes in order to hide his feelings! So i was like, okay, fine. Then who should we do for? My other suggestions included Tokoyami (rejected because i can't write him in a smau. He's gonna say many edgy things and i can't take him srsly if he did) and Kaminari (the same reasoning as kirishima, he's a precious babey qwq). And then i was like, okay, how about Monoma. But then i was like, ..no thanks...🙄🙄

And then, i suggested another;

Also me: NO!!! There's already A BUNCH of shinsou smau and i don't really wanna feel like making him since myherowritings has done like 2 smaus of him. I'm afraid i might even feel like I'm plagiarising stuff.

This goes on for longer than I'd like to admit honestly. I was pretty adamant on keeping the "y/n get cheered up by her friends" thing so i really need to have someone who's a jerk to be the partner.

I wasn't too keen on making for any of the LoV members tbh. Mainly because, while this is a quirkless au, making the trio talk about LoV is abit....and mostly all the guys in LoV has quite big age gap with the trio so.... yeah it's a bit awkward. The closest to their age was shiggy and i was still pretty reluctant to use him. In the end, i managed to gave up and used him anyways.

During the making

I STRUGGLED A LOT, if you can't tell. I'm really not a person who plans ahead of things so thinking up ideas AS I'm writing it was hell. The only thing that i have thought ahead of time was the "shoto sharing his knowledge of legend to y/n". That was it. The legend of the rock at the shrine that can grant wishes about love was completely made on the spot as I'm writing it. 🤭🤭🤭

Things really got a lot messier than i thought and I struggled as I'm writing it. I had thought of creating more drama and making the "lashing out because i don't want you to know my feelings" part BUT as you already know, i didn't 😫😫

I also thought up y/n's past trauma and the reason for her social anxiety ON THE SPOT and after making shiggy comfort her, i realized, i couldn't make the "lashing out because i don't want you to know my feelings" part after all qwq. But i managed to insert the "bakugou telling y/n it's because of her that their friendship is still going on" so it's all good 😌😌

Dramas and Shiggy OOCness

I intended to insert MUCH more drama and angst but after writing her past, i realized that that's not possible 😔😔😔 and considering how much of an impatient and bratty he is in canon, it was actually perfect to insert more dramas

BUT THEN I REALIZED THAT THERE'S NOT ENOUGH SHIGGY/N MOMENTS TO MAKE THEIR FEELINGS FOR EACH OTHER STRONGER , and yet again, i panicked. So i made shiggy to be this super caring and understanding guy and helped y/n get over her past.

In the end, that's how he came to be so ooc and the only time he actually FELT like shiggy was when he was interacting with the LoV members and THAT WAS IT. I freaked out but after the part where shiggy comforted y/n, i was like, "idc anymore, since I've already made him ooc in this part, might as well continue making him like that"

A dick move i know 😔😔😔😔😢😢😢😢😢 so I'm super sorry that i made him so ooc and cringeeeeeeeeeee 😳😳😳😫😫😫😫

Shiggy as a whole

Shiggy wasn't my favourite character in the canon but after knowing his past from some spoilers on youtube vids that i watched, i really felt like i want to protect him so he falls more to the category of "babies that i want to protect" as a character. I'm still progressing through the manga so i believe that that feelings will change soon enough. (Like it did with *cough* bakugou *cough* 😳😳😳😳 because i at first put him in that category too but now I'm simping over him 😔😔😔👊👊👊👊💕💕💕)

That being said though, while writing this smau and all those cheesy parts came, i can honestly say that my love meter for him had increased 😳😳😳💕💕💕 i mean this smau isn't canon or anything but i can't help but to feel more attracted to him (send helpp qwq) so writing this smau has actually opened my eyes to the feelings i never thought i have for this guy 😳😳🤫🤫🤫💕💕

-a bit more insight on the model magazine shoto works for. As mentioned, he works for Hanrei Mag and if you saw Dabi's tweets on his profile during the shiggy crew introduction, you can see that Dabi said "Todoroki shoto refused to become the successor of Hannen Corp and became a model at Hanrei Mag instead."

If you don't know, shoto's quirk, half cold half hot, in japanese is called hanrei hannen. ("Han" meaning half and "rei" and "nen" meaning cold and hot respectively). I actually named the model mag shoto worked for Hanrei Mag to show how much he despises his father and refused to become the next CEO of the Hanrei Corp which is his father's company and became a model for Hanrei Mag instead. Just like in the canon where Shoto refused to use his father's flame side during the sports festival.

But in the end i didn't get to explain that part 😔😔😔😢😢😢

-i wanted to insert some moments where Y/N talks about how she ship Jiro with Kaminari. I even had a screenshot prepared for it 😫😫😫😫 but again, this didn't make it to the final cut 😭😭😭

Trust me, I DO WANT TO INSERT MORE OF THIS ELEMENT!!!!! BUT...! But...! ....but...... 😢😢😢😢😭😭😭😭😭😭 I SUCK AT MAKING JOKES AND WRITING CRACK STUFF! I really respect those people that can make them so easily, i could never 😫😫😫 as you can see, I'm bad at making cracks and jokes and i only insert lil bits of memes. Crack and humour is just isn't my forte. 🤡🤡🤡🤡 can someone teach me how to be funnier??? The only joke that i was pretty proud of was the one where y/n thought shiggy said "How do you do?" When he said "what do you do?" At their first unofficial date. And even that, looking back on it, wasn't that good 😭😭😭

To sum it up, Love At First Legend (LAFL) wasn't intentionally made for Shigaraki at first but when I finished writing it, I realized that I actually enjoyed writing for him. Anyways, thank y'all so much for staying with me till the end! Love y'all and keep being awesome!!!!
