anyway, with my remus lover debate outta the way! (i say remus lover when he’s been on my “maybe kill list” for all my fics, has been described as my least favourite character in all of my fics and i once said “remus lupin is like those flat lollipops kids receive for halloween. they lick both sides and shove it between the couch cushions and their parents find it twelve months later with hair and fur and dust all over it maybe an ant or two who got stuck to it.”) i’ll share my favourite prongsfoot thing.

which. is their wedding.

because they’re both incredibly smart people! in fact, they’re both TOP 5 in their year. (Sirius got top in Potions much to his dismay and Care of Magical Creatures and James was top in DADA and Arithmancy) like sometimes their sheer genius freaks people out. however. they’re also stupid as fuck sometimes. LMFAO

i feel like they’d have a pretty rushed wedding once they know they’re in love and not just best friends. like a “as soon as graduate” wedding. but they’d both kind of just, assume things(?) almost. like Sirius is just like “i want to walk down the aisle so i’m gonna, and McGonagall is walking down with me” and James would know that Sirius would like a traditional wedding so he plans to make the ‘sacrifice’ and walk down the aisle with Fleamont by his side. And neither of them quite realise they both plan to walk down the aisle until like four days before the wedding. and by that point they’re like “fuck it” and they both end up walking down.

another issue arrives of them fighting over groomsmen/groomswomen. James immediately takes claim over Lily but Sirius is like “What! No! I was friends with her first! You just had a crush on her!” and they squabble about that for a while until they both decide to be the bigger person and ‘give’ the other person Lily but now they’re squabbling over who’s the bigger person. same thing happens with Regulus “He’s my brother Prongs!” “Well I was the one who friended him and made you guys make up!!” and a similar situation would happen. After they do the same with Marlene eventually their wedding planner (probably Pete or someone TBH) gets annoyed and starts to just assign them grooms people.

James thinks it’s funny to order a wedding dress for himself but then realises he never actually got a proper suit so his only option is the wedding dress or fancy wizarding robes which him and Sirius agreed not to wear lmao. So him and Fleamont have to go all over town the day before the wedding looking for a suit that fits James properly. Because they waited til the last minute the only suit he can get is like, bright red and he decides to wear a yellow button up underneath for Gryffindor.

They had their whole separate bachelor parties planned but ended up just leaving and spending time together because they’re literally attached at the hip. (before that they were talking through the mirrors the entire time until Lily and Reg confiscated them). Although they told no one so everyone got super worried that a drunk Sirius and a drunk James got fucking lost the night before their wedding but neither Reg (Sirius’ best man) and Lily (James’ best woman) want to alert the other so they both end up like tipsy searching for their respective groom.

However the day of the wedding would go amazing. like absolutely amazing. there’s not a dry eye in the crowd and everyone’s happy and everything that went “wrong” wasn’t really wrong at all.

Yes! I love the absolute chaos of this Prongsfoot wedding! Although I am assigning Remus as their wedding planner lmao because I hate Peter.

(James should absolutely wear the dress though, Sirius would find that very hot tbh)
