internet writing advice is bad because it makes out like there's rules. "there are two types of magic system" no there aren't. you made that up. there are as many types of magic system as there are people inventing magic systems. "here's the percentages of your story when you should hit certain plot beats" bullshit. for every story that does that there'll be an equally well-crafted story that doesn't. stories aren't maths.
