Alright my friends, i am back with discussing this episode

so first, i loved it. i thought it was a really good episode that kept me on the edge of my seat for the entire time, and i was really excited for the next one. i really think it was better than all the other episodes this season, tbh, and it had a lot of the doctor who bits that i really like

i really, really liked the cybermen. I thought that was really interesting, and i havent seen any of the old who episodes so I’m not sure if this is known or w/e but it was super creepy to me the way that the people were still feeling pain in their conversions and this definitely seemed like the beginnings of the cybermen we know (but idk, again, this is the first time ive ever really seen these cybermen. i though the scene w the people pressing the pain button and the kill me button or w/e was SUPER CREEPY and frankly, made it hard to sleep. that and the idea that cybermen can feel pain but they just have something dampening how much they can feel it? like idk if im unusually emotional but man that was.... really creepy to me

the master also (and just to be clear - i know theyre the same person but im distinguishing between the regenerations by referring to them as missy or the master) was really cool - i know a lot of ppl are saying that they totally expected it or w/e but i, am super gullible and had no idea until he was talking to missy and then i was like.. oh is that... Ohh... OHH....

which brings me to my next point. im not .. super sure how much i love this redemption arc theyve got going for missy. i understand they were friends & all but the character is very interesting as a kind of villain, with a very interesting past thrown in too (i thought it was really interesting when gallifrey was gone and the doctor only had the master as the only other living timelord. That, i thought made their relationship even better but no, apparently gallifrey is out there chilling so ..)

im just worried the next episodes gonna have some stupid emotional stuff about how missy is ~changing her ways~ and ~becoming more like the doctor~ or w/e i mean i read some things abt how even the mater was kind of getting to this point himself and shes just the next step but... im not a huge fan. its important to really have a villain like that, i think, for the doctor. it explores his values in a way that other things dont (ex. the master is evil and killing humanity but the doctor wont kill him bc he is his best friend and the only time lord, who does he value more? the doctor always wants to save humanity and is always claiming that he’ll do whats right but he cant just stop the master?)

i think the tension between the master and missy will be interesting - seeing what theyre like together, maybe missy will go back to being more evil, maybe the master will change a bit too (is this where he regenerates into missy? why doesnt she remember being on this ship? was she just bluffing and she knew exactly what was happening?)

im not particularly pleased w the whole bill thing. ill be significantly less pleased if they actually kill her -  the only redeeming thing about it right now is that shes not “dead”. if they make her stay a cyberman or esp if they kill her i will be. displeased. and they should know better, the writers (moffat) and the rest of the production team have to have been exposed to the problems if they kill her off. It wouldnt be ok. 

i frankly think that even shooting her was a bit much (the first time any of the companions have been shot and it has to be a black woman?), they didn’t even _need_ to do that - cybermen dont just convert ppl bc theyre “injured” or w/e. they could have just taken her and partially converted her and maybe she ~rejected the conversion~ in some way which could have allowed her to talk to the dude for the rest of the episode like she had. there was really no plot reason why she had to get shot

bill also hasnt had a time where she really shines as a character either, like how rose became bad wolf or martha saved the world or donna saved ... everything, amy with remembering the doctor and the whole thing with the silence, clara by saving the doctors life throughout history i mean the companions have always had something that made them incredible, some point where they became amazing and bill.. hasnt really had that yet (you could argue that she did when she did the whole thing with the monks but..... that was......not a great episode.... imo) and i doubt she will now w the next episode being called “the doctor falls

anyway this devolved a bit but overall, i thought it was a good episode with some pretty big problems (still not a huge fan of the doctor calling missy his “man crush” ?? like cmon)

i thought it was wild that they allowed a ~swear word~ in the show

but anyway overall, i really enjoyed it

It was was my one goal in life to be tall since the doctor said i could grow to be 179cm! but i got stuck! i didnt even reach the 170cm TT it's really frustrating bc people here are tall and im not :

3/4 and i know you are still joking dw! idk why i even said that i think it was an oppertunity too good to pass by XD and yes, johnny's hair really was tragic. i'm all here for long hair on guys but that was just a little too much even for me (yuta's red mullet nowadays though ohohoho i am living my best life bc of it) and ye, we're here now! that's what matters^^ n i can see why t7s didnt work out XD it's,,, sth that has to grow on you, i think. - 🌱💚       

4/4 Ye they're new movies. Missing Link is not a scary movie though! It was really cute and funny and revolved around the found family trope (god, i love that trope soooo much) and the studio that made Missing Link (Laika studios) has made some other really great stop motion films. My favourite genre would be drama ig? I live for drama in stories! And i also like comedic elements and superhero/monster stuff (tho not horror i hate horror!) and my fave movie is Hunt For The Wilderpeople^^ - 🌱💚

My fav movie aside from the old disney beauty and the beast would probably be identity? I´m all for Thrillers. And I hate horror too!! Like especially when it´s like supernatural horror yet here I am, loving Supernatural lol becuz it just isn´t explainable and if there ain´t logic to it then it´s not my thing sksks. I do mostly shit my pants at Thrillers too but if the Thrillers are good, Then. They.  Are. Just. Way. Too. Interesting. Gotta. Watch!!!!

But yeah, I still don´t know the situation between your pets AND whether or not you commented on my cursing thing :´))))
