fight club - review 2023

Finally I got Elias to watch the classic alpha male movie: fight club. The movie was a reason to take a break from editing the current school project. Something I was quite happy about, regardless of the fact that I wasn't the one with the editing job.

Watching the movie for the second time was perhaps more exciting yet more chill than the first time I saw it. I was mesmerised by the movie the first time and I walked out of the house completely changed as a person... as Tyler Durden (female vers.). Also I still am so disgusted by Robert Paulson's back breaking tits and the chemical burn. Tho I was excited to see Elias watc hteh movie with me and figure out whats happening (despite him getting like 13 billion tiktok edits back in early summer/mid summer). Because he didn't know the in between of all the edit scenes and highlights. He didn't even know how the narrator and Tyler Durden actually were the same person. Safe to say it was fun him telling me his theories and me just keeping my mouth shut until the end.

The end made us both consider perhaps pulling up as Marla Singer and The Narrator for LKU Halloween night. I already have a few ideas on how I could portray her - the hair is the main problem but perhaps I'll just make a messy bun or something for it. Regardless of that, I really enjoyed rewatching Fight Club and it seems like Elias also liked the entirety of the movie as a whole.

A solid 5/5 for me, compared to my first review which was 3/5
