#i have already made ink splotches on my page twice and probably broken the first nib please help me

Things I've learned from my new inking set:

Dip pens make my stuff look so much better than regular pens HOLY CANOLI but also they are the BANE of my existence.

Why does the ink never come out when it's supposed to, what do you mean the tines have to be exactly right, why are the nibs so fragile I'm so scared, what the fuck do you mean I have to "prepare" them that's not on the packaging and also my teacher never mentioned it, what do mean it involves a POTATO???

There's a root vegetable in my tool kit now what the fuck.
