this is insanely specific but i don’t understand the EXTREME hate towards funko pops. i can understand frustration towards collectors & scalpers (which btw applies to literally everything that has value in a capitalist society), but i honestly like how funko has easily accessible merchandise for extremely cheap.

i think as time has gone on their attention to detail in molding/design has really improved, i like that they have a lot of variety, and i like that they’re CHEAP. i can understand people not liking how designs translate but i think they do a good job with attention to detail! i like that you can see exactly what you’re getting! i hate funko sodas though but that’s just because i think chasers are the stupidest shit on the planet especially when it’s just a reuse of the mold and filled with sparkly glitter.

I went to my Starbucks early because there was a cup I like and if you don't get there at open often times scalpers get there at open and buy all of a cup and this woman really got there a hour before open and bought all of the $50 Stanley cups so she could resell them for $200 💀 AND it was really funny to watch because I just wanted the one cup and we had a bunch so I wasn't worried about getting it as long as I was there but she saw me and my mom pull up and started getting defensive like we gave a shit about her Stanley cups and looked at us got out of her truck to stand in front of the door and stare the employees down for the 20 minutes before they opened (because I wasn't sure if we opened at 5 or 5:30 so we ended up getting there 20 minutes early at 5:10) and btw it was only slightly above freezing so she's just standing there in the cold with her hood pulled close over her face. To stop us from getting Stanley cups that we don't want. And when we saw them opening we started getting out of the car and she damn near ran to the Stanley cups and put her arm out to prevent this other girl dressed in her pj's from getting one. And after the lady left the pj girl looked really disappointed to find out that the other lady bought the entire stock. Like.......................................................... I love mischief and fucking with people and all but this behaviour is unhinged and cruel. What got me too was in line she was like loudly bragging to everyone that she got there at 4:30 to buy all the Stanley cups and it's like umm... Girl do you think anyone but you thinks that's anything but ridiculous............................... You know everyone else hates you for that right

brazil update: so the sales for taylor swift's concert were actual hell. people got in physical danger in the lines (police was called) and the ammount of scalpers was surreal. 2 extra dates were announced but i doubt i'll even get a ticket lol. the rio de janeiro tickets sold out in 8 minutes (btw taylor's team didnt say a word about this. i already knew they hated brazilians but damn)
